Prince William’s friend in nightclub fight

A friend of Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has allegedly been involved in a nightclub brawl.
Till Bechtolsheimer - who knows the royal couple through his sister Olympic gold medallist Laura Bechtolsheimer - got into an altercation after he was accidentally pushed by fellow clubber Daniel Kurkowski at the Dream Hotel in New York City last month.
Till's girlfriend Julia Kadioglu reportedly made matters worse as she smashed a bottle of lager over Daniel's head after the fight broke out, which left him with a nasty cut.
Julia - who graduated from St Andrews University at the same time as Prince William and Duchess Catherine - was reportedly escorted out of the swanky premises in handcuffs.
However, she was later released without bail after her arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court.
Her lawyer Benjamin Yu told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "My client insists on her innocence. She's indignant she was even arrested."
Till is the grandson of billionaire real-estate baron Karl-Heinz Kipp and the royal couple - who have seven-month-old son Prince George - are close friends with the Kipp family.
Last year, Prince William, 31, and Duchess Catherine, 32, attended the wedding of Laura and her beau Mark Tomlinson, which took place at the Swiss Alps in Switzerland.

Duchess Catherine becomes godmother

Britain's Duchess of Cambridge has become a godmother.
The 32-year-old royal has taken motherhood in her stride since giving birth to her son Prince George seven months ago, and now she's been chosen by a close friend to be a godparent to their child.
The brunette beauty was given the official title on Sunday (16.02.14) when she attended the baptism service with her husband Prince William and their son George at the St Barnabas Church in Mayland, Chelmsford, in Essex, South East England.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, reverend Ken Dunstan said: "I think my usual congregation were surprised at who was joining us. I don't normally pay a huge amount of attention to godparents as long as the godparents are there and willing to make the appropriate promises."
He added: "She was there as a godparent not as a princess."
It is believed Catherine - who was known as Kate Middleton before she married William in 2011 - knew the parents from university.
Reverend Ken explained: "The couple said they wanted four godparents but weren't quite sure whether one would be available.
"Then later the father rang me to say the other godmother is available, it's a friend from uni. Then he told me who it was.
"I got the impression that a number of the congregation had been to the same university."
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also chose one of their pals from university Oliver Baker to be Prince George's godfather.

Duchess Camilla wasn’t a good artist

Britain's Duchess Camilla admits she's not a very good artist.
The 66-year-old royal visited the Pound Arts Centre in Wiltshire, South West England, earlier this week and joked she was so bad at art when she was younger that she ripped up her paintings.
She said: "My husband's a very good watercolourist - he's very good and I'm very bad. I was always tearing mine up".
The duchess was given a tour of the centre, which offers a range of things from children's drama club to piano lessons, film screenings, exhibitions, and studios for artists starting their careers.
She then met a group of women painters, who meet every week, before noticing that Jehanne Le Quesne was looking a bit disheartened because she had nothing to show her.
Jehanne said: "I've thrown it away."
Camilla replied: "I know that feeling."
During the visit, Camilla - who officially opened the centre seven years ago - sat in on a story session with a group of under five year olds, who were discussing the sea.
David Jones, chairman of the centre's trustees, told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "We're thrilled she has come back. It's nice for her to see what else we've done here over those seven years.
"It's good to have that interest from the Duchess of Cornwall, it creates a really nice buzz around the place."

Kylie Minogue interrupts fans workout to perform new single

Kylie Minogue interrupted a fan's gym session to perform her new single.
The 'Spinning Around' hitmaker left fan Adam Milner stunned when she arrived unannounced during his workout at The Factory Gym and Dance Centre in London to perform her song 'Into the Blue' for the first time, after she heard he listens to her music whilst exercising.
Adam - who was busy doing sit-ups - gasped as Kylie, 45, sashayed into the room accompanied by glitter cannons, before hunky dancers disguised as fellow gym members joined the star for the performance of her new single.
Speaking of the performance, Kylie said: "I've never performed in a gym before, so it was a crazy and exciting experience for both me and my fan, Adam.
"I loved Adam's reaction when I walked in and even in his shocked state he still managed to sing along to all the word."
Kylie's performance comes as part of a string of surprises in conjunction with Mastercard's #PricelessSurprises campaign which sees a host of stars such as Pharrell Williams and 'Green Garden' singer Laura Mvula surprise their biggest fans.
All of the videos will be interspersed between the ad breaks during the BRIT Awards tonight (19.02.14) which airs on ITV at 8pm.

Spotify predicts Bastille to win 3 Brit Awards

Spotify has predicted Bastille will walk away with three Brit awards.
The music streaming service believes the band - which has been nominated for British Group, British Breakthrough, British Single and Album of the Year - will dominate the ceremony tonight (19.02.14) by picking up accolades in almost every category it's nominated in.
Spotify is confident the four-piece - consisting of Dan Smith, Kyle Simmons, Chris Wood and William Farquarson - will walk away with British Breakthrough Act, Best British Single for their track 'Pompeii', and Album of the Year for 'Bad Blood' under their belts.
Will Hope, Director of Label Relations at Spotify, said: "Since their debut in 2010 Bastille has consistently wowed the world with their music and this year's BRIT Awards should reflect their global acclaim."
Spotify also believes Ellie Goulding will win Best Female, Jake Bugg will be honoured for Best Male, Daft Punk will get Best International Group, and Pink will be recognised for Best International Female.
Spotify has predicted the winners of this year's event based on analysis of streams over the past 12 months.
Will added: "We're very excited to see whether the winners shape up to what we've predicted based on the popularity of tracks and artists being streamed on Spotify."
The Brit Awards 2014, hosted by James Corden, will take place tonight at London's O2 Arena.
