Keith Richards is writing a children's book.
The Rolling Stones legend has teamed up with his daughter Theodora to create a picture book 'Gus and Me: The Story of My Granddad and My First Guitar', which will be based on his own life.
The story is about the 70-year-old guitarist's grandfather Theodore Augustus Dupree - also known as Gus - who played in a jazz big band and introduced Keith to the world of music.
Keith said: "I have just become a grandfather for the fifth time, so I know what I'm talking about. The bond, the special bond, between kids and grandparents is unique and should be treasured.
"This is a story of one of those magical moments. May I be as great a grandfather as Gus was to me."
Theodora, 28, who is named after Gus, will be illustrating the book inspired by photographs of Keith's childhood.
She said: "When I found out they wanted me to be a part of this project, my immediate instinct was to say yes, and I am so happy I did. To be able to explore my father's relationship with his grandfather was a gift in itself."
The picture story is being published by Little, Brown Book Group and is set for release on September 9.

Ciara is expecting a baby boy.
The 'Goodies' singer is due to give birth to her first child with her fiancé Future next month and the 30-year-old rapper may have let slip the sex of the unborn tot.
During an interview with Tim Westwood TV, he said: "The baby's listening to music already now. [Ciara] sent me a video while I was over here with the headphones on her stomach. She's like, 'The baby just listened to 'Turn on the Lights', the version with me and you.'
"I said, 'You gotta play the 'Anytime' for him, the new one you did. Let him hear that, see how he kicks'.
"She played it and he started kicking crazy."
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old star has remained tight-lipped about whether she is carrying and boy or a girl over the past four months, but recently admitted the gender didn't initially match her "preference" when she found out.
She said previously "I did have a preference before I found out what it was. I had a preference at first and when I was told what it was, I felt it's going to be what it's supposed to be."
However, Ciara insists Future - whom she got engaged to in October last year - was pleased when the sex of their child was revealed.

Jennifer Lopez has joked she wouldn't save Ben Affleck and P. Diddy from drowning.
The 44-year-old singer dated the rapper in 1999, before striking up a romance with the 41-year-old actor and getting engaged to him in 2002, but Jennifer doesn't appear to have fond memories them.
During an interview on Los Angeles' Power 106 radio station, the brunette beauty was presented with a scenario by host Big Boy.
He said: "You're on a raft in the middle of the ocean. You look in the ocean, you see two people floating. You can only pull up one, because that's how much room you have on the raft. You look in the ocean, you see Ben Affleck and you see Diddy."
Jennifer erupted into laughter before replying with: "I'd let both those motherf***ers drown!"
However, after realising what she had said, she quickly added: "That's terrible! I'm just joking! Ben, Puffy, you know I love you. You know that. They know it."
Jennifer - who has six-year-old twins Emme and Max with her ex-husband Marc Anthony - is still in contact with Ben, who is now married to Jennifer Garner, and they "respect" each other.
Ben said previously: "We don't have the kind of relationship where she relies on me for advice but we do have the kind of relationship where there'll be an e-mail saying, 'Oh, your movie looks great.'"
Meanwhile, P. Diddy - whose real name is Sean Combs - has five children from previous relationships and is now reportedly engaged to his long-term girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

Lena Dunham doesn't want to act any more.
The 'Girls' star, who also created the US TV show, admits she doesn't love performing as much as she does standing behind the camera and watching other people take to the set.
She said: "I don't know if I'm going to want to act any more. I'm always relieved on the days I don't have to. I'd rather give parts to other women than be the woman having the parts."
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old actress - who plays unlucky in love aspiring writer Hannah Horvath in the HBO comedy - admits her relationship with boyfriend Jack Antonoff, who she started dating shortly after 'Girls' became popular, works really well because he accepted her "baggage".
She explained in the April edition of Glamour magazine: "The dialogue around the show already existed, so it was sort of clear to him what the baggage of dating me was going to be.
"And I remember talking with him on our first date and him being like, 'God, all the articles about your nudity on the show are such b******t.' It's funny, because in some ways that's the conversation we still have when I'm upset [about the stuff I read]."

Leigh-Anne Pinnock claims she "nearly died" after she was hit by a prop at a show in the US last month.
The Little Mix star and her band were supporting Fifth Harmony on tour when a piece of scenery came loose and smacked the brunette beauty on the head, consequently leading to her falling to the floor.
Bandmate Perrie Edwards kicked off the story, saying: "Leigh-Ann is the most dramatic person you will ever meet, but this time bless her because honestly my heart went out to her.
"Fifth Harmony have these things [props], and obviously no one knew they were going to be wobbling like the way they were. And then we were just doing our own thing and then the next thing you know this thing just comes down and cracks Leigh-Anne on the head."
Leigh-Anne added: "And then I fell to the floor and the mic went into my nose. I got a nice big lip, but I didn't put any ice on it because I wanted it to stay plump. It's a miracle really."
Meanwhile, the 'Change Your Life' hitmakers - also consisting of Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirwall - are on a mission to crack the US, but admit they were surprised by the reaction they've received.
Jesy explained to MTV News: "It's better than we could have imagined. We never knew what to expect when we came here, and the audience has been absolutely incredible.
"They know all the words to the songs and we still get shocked when we put the mic up and we sing 'Wings' and they all sing back."

Justin Bieber's driving under the influence (DUI) trial date has been delayed until May 5.
The 20-year-old singer has been called to appear in front of the judge following his arrest in January after he was allegedly caught drag-racing in Miami.
The 'Baby' hitmaker has also been charged with resisting arrest and possessing an invalid driver's license, but he has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.
Justin's original trial date was set for February 14, but was pushed back until March 3, and has now been postponed for another two months after news organisations requested the release of a video showing the troubled star giving a urine sample in jail.
It was believed the CCTV footage was of public interest, but the Miami Judge ruled "sensitive images" should be censored before being published.
An initial breath test showed Justin's alcohol levels were below the 0.02 limit for under-age drivers, but further tests revealed there was a presence of marijuana and Xanax in his blood at the time of arrest.
Meanwhile, as well as facing legal problems in Miami, Justin could also potentially face felony charges after an incident where one of his neighbours' homes was egged, causing $20,000 of damage.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney is now reviewing evidence and deciding whether to press charges against the star.

The 'Game of Thrones' star, 38, insists he's never tried to hide his sexuality from people, but wanted someone to ask him about it because it's not something that he could just "blurt out".
when asked about his fan base within the gay community, he said: "Well, in all honesty, when you talk about the gay community, you are talking about my community. I am aware of it and I think it's really lovely. There's not a day that I don't get a few messages, but 99 per cent or more are super sweet.

Britney Spears is reportedly planning to get married at the late Elvis Presley's former home in Tennessee.
The 32-year-old singer, who has been married twice before, is keen to tie the knot with David Lucado, and has been eyeing up the Graceland estate, which is now a museum, as the venue.
A source told RadarOnline: "Britney wants to get as much attention and money for pictures with her third wedding as she did for her second, which is why she is considering reaching out to Elvis' daughter Lisa Marie Presley to ask if she can be married in the Graceland Estate in Memphis, Tennessee."
The mansion, which was the marital home of Elvis and his wife Priscilla until he died at the estate in 1977 aged 42, is one of the most-visited private homes in America, and the 'Toxic' hitmaker believes it will be the perfect location for her wedding guests.
The source explained: "Not only would the Graceland location, now a tourist attraction, be a visually stunning place for Brit and Dave to tie the knot, but it would be a convenient trip for most of their extended families, who are based in the south.
"If Lisa Marie, who controls the Graceland estate, gives her okay, Britney will start her wedding planning with a vengeance."
