Simon Cowell has "thick skin" when it comes to the upcoming 'X Factor' musical 'I Can't Sing'.
The 54-year-old music mogul isn't worried about being spoofed in the new theatre show - which was written and created by Harry Hill - and didn't want to make changes to the script, even though it may not show him in the best light.
He explained to Radio Times magazine: "I have not changed a word and I wouldn't. If it feels like it's got my hands over it, people won't enjoy it as much. I've got thick enough skin."
The 'X Factor' creator admits he isn't a musical theatre fan and was reluctant to agree to the show at first, but Harry's funny script and songs won him over.
He recalled: "I thought, 'Oh Christ, what if I hate it?' So I said to my PA, 'Get me a seat at the back near the exit.' I hate musicals, but these songs were great and within five minutes I was in hysterics.
"We all get it in the neck, particularly me, but we didn't want to make something pompous or earnest."
And Simon isn't worried about 'I Can't Sing' undermining the integrity of 'The X Factor'.
He explained: "If I thought it was damaging to the brand we wouldn't have done it.
"Any show that has Wagner competing against One Direction or that can turn John and Edward into multimillionaires is a bit wacky. It's a bonkers show in a way. I mean, Louis [Walsh] on the panel? It's nuts!"
John Mayer thinks ex-girlfriend Katy Perry is "extremely driven".
The 'Who You Love' hitmaker, who split from the singer last month, has praised her work ethic and spoken about the reason women often decide to get back with their ex-boyfriends.
He told America's Sirius Radio: "It is a connection to the past, a reaction to fear of the unknown. They go back with a guy they don't like just because they know how to get to his bathroom in the dark."
The 36-year-old star, who had an on/off relationship with Katy from 2012, went on to gush about the 'Dark Horse' singer, who is in Sydney, Australia promoting her upcoming Prismatic world tour.
He said: "She's extremely driven and extremely serious about doing great work."
Katy, 29, reportedly broke up with John because he kept breaking promises and their conflicting schedules have made it difficult for them to continue their relationship.
A source said: "The last time they broke up John won her back by making a ton of promises. He was going to put her first, but now he's falling back into his old patterns.
"Like, he shuts off his phone and disappears all day and night - he says it's because he needs alone time, but it's sketchy for sure."
Katy was left heartbroken when her marriage to Russell Brand ended after 14 months in December 2011 and she "isn't willing to put up with any shenanigans" from men.
Meanwhile, John has already been spotted with a mystery brunette during a night out at the Sunset Tower in West Hollywood on Saturday (01.03.14), just days after splitting from Katy.
Katie Holmes insists her number one priority is making sure her daughter knows she's special.
The actress, who has six-year-old daughter Suri with ex-husband Tom Cruise, is a hands-on mother and claims although times have changed the basic principles of parenting remain the same.
She told the April edition of ELLE magazine: "Children are exposed to so much more than we were, I suppose every generation goes through that feeling of, 'Oh my God, it's so different from how I grew up."
She added: "I think the basics are very important: The number one thing is making sure my child feels loved. And good about herself.
"And that what she does and who she is, is special and important, and should be celebrated."
The 35-year-old star, who was married to actor Tom from 2006 until 2012, says motherhood has changed her outlook on life and she has a lot respect for women.
She said: "I think all of our experiences bring us to a greater understanding of ourselves and help us realise what is most important.
"That being said, I have three older sisters and one older brother and I went to an all-girls school, and have always been a fan of women.
"I support women and all experiences give you more insight into others, as well as yourself."
Katie grew up in Ohio with her four siblings and parents Martin and Kathleen and claims she learnt a lot from watching her older sisters growing up.
She said: "I was pretty lucky ... I'm the youngest of five with three older sisters, so when I was a little girl, I spent a lot of the time in the bathroom just watching them.
"I was intrigued by make-up and my mum was very frank with us and said, 'There are natural beauties in the world, but make-up enhances."
Her acting career began at an early age when she joined the cast of Dawson's Creek, which aired between 1998 and 2003, and she is thankful she became famous during a time when fans weren't able to use Twitter and Facebook.
She said: "The world has changed so much since then. Social media, and what people are watching. But I think innocence was one of the draws of the show.
"It was these kids going through first love and heartbreak and growing up and friendships changing. So I'm glad that the innocence still holds up."
Anthony Mackie wanted to wear spandex for 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier '.
The 35-year-old actor was thrilled to be cast in the superhero adventure as the Falcon, also known as Sam Wilson, because he thought he would be able to attract female attention when he showed off his hunky body in the skin-tight material.
He told SFX magazine: "When I got the call, and they told me I was gonna be on this movie, I was so excited because I was like 'I'm gonna get to work and wear spandex and all the women are going to be like 'Oh my god, look at his body in spandex!'' "
Mackie was devastated to learn he wouldn't be donning spandex but wears it under his costume so he can feel like a superhero.
He added: "I was like 'no spandex?' I was highly upset. I wear spandex under my costume just so I can feel like a superhero."
The 'Pain & Gain' actor will hit the big screen alongside Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson in the forthcoming film.
Monty Python's groupies were never as attractive as rock groupies.
The British comedy troupe - which is made up of John Cleese, 74, Terry Jones, 71, Terry Gilliam, 72, Michael Palin, 70, and Eric Idle, 70 - admit they had a huge fan base in at the height of their fame, however, the girls who chased them weren't as gorgeous as the females who followed their musician friends.
Gilliam - who is married to Maggie Weston - told GQ magazine: "There were groupies. But comedy groupies are not as good looking as rock groupies, that's all I can say. I mean, really interesting personalities! But the beauties we saw knocking on the doors in 'A Hard Day's Night' and all those rock shows were not the girls who were knocking on the Python stage door. Funny that!"
The comic group - who were once dubbed The Beatles of comedy - weren't only popular with the general public, they also had a number of A-List fans who loved watching their sketches, including Jimmy Page, George Harrison, Sir Paul McCartney and Robert Plant.
Gilliam revealed: "We were hot. When Python was at its peak, every group, whether it was Led Zeppelin [or] The Beatles, loved us. We were 'THE' guys!"
Monty Python have reunited for a series of live shows at The O2 in London this summer entitled 'Monty Python Live (Mostly), 'One Down Five To Go' - a reference to late member Graham Chapman, who died in 1989 at the age of 48.
Late Beatles guitarist George Harrison was such a big Monty Python fan he financed their controversial 1979 film 'The Life of Brian' through his company HandMade Films.
Dame Helen Mirren fixes things in Winona Ryder's home.
The 'Queen' actress and her husband Taylor Hackford rent a property to the 42-year-old screen beauty and the Oscar winner is always on hand to do emergency DIY if something breaks in the property.
And the 'Turks & Caicos' star admits she is a little in awe of her multi-talented and famous landlady.
Winona told Red magazine: "She and Taylor Hackford have this mansion and I rent a little cottage in the back. If I'm having a problem with the house, she'll come up and fix it.
"She is everything you would hope she'd be, wonderful, warm and funny. I had to tell her that I love 'Prime Suspect' so much that for 10 years I stayed in hotels under the name DCI Jane Tennison."
Winona also revealed she feels "liberated" now as she has finally shed herself of the "anxiety" that plagued her during her younger years.
She said: "It's so liberating when you get over that anxious feeling you constantly have when you're younger. I was about 38 when it happened.
"You watch younger friends go through it and there's nothing you can do. It's like when someone's in a bad relationship and you know there's nothing you can say that's going to make them leave but they'll get there on their own.
"I've been there. We've all been there. You're not ready until you're ready."
Sarah Harding won't take solo career advice from Girls Aloud.
The 32-year-old singer has revealed she is so strong-willed that she is unlikely to listen to musical tips from her former bandmates Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts, who have all released solo albums in the past.
She explained to the latest issue of new! magazine: "They've all done solo work but there's nothing they can say. I don't take advice - I'm not good at listening. I just learn my own way. I've always been stubborn."
The 'Promise' hitmaker says her solo music is more mature than the pop records she performed with Girls Aloud.
She teased of her new music: "It's a bit more grown-up. I've co-written quite a bit of it and a lot of the songs reflect who I am as a person. I can connect with them."
However, Sarah admits she has butterflies about putting her own music out there as she it is so personal.
She added: "I'm really excited, but nervous too. I'll be putting my soul out there for everyone to see."
Kristin Cavallari is "counting down the days" until she gives birth.
The former 'The Hills' star and her husband Jay Cutler are expecting a baby boy - their second child together - in April, and the blonde beauty admits she can't wait to see the tiny tot for the first time.
She said: "[I'm] counting down the days."
The 27-year-old actress insists she's trying to eat the same stuff she was eating before she fell pregnant and has been doing home workouts in a bid to stay fit and healthy.
She quipped: "I feel like I have a bowling ball in my stomach."
She added: "I'm eating the same I normally do, and I'm working out but I'm not killing myself. I just don't use it as an excuse to go crazy, I guess. I've been doing videos at home and I've been doing lots of squats and lunges and really trying to focus on my legs and my butt."
However, Kristin, who also has Camden Jack, 17 months, with her NFL star husband, hasn't been able to stay away from the calorific treats, but she admits she has always had a sweet tooth.
She explained to Us Magazine: "I crave sweet things, but it's no different than when I'm not pregnant. I pretty much have dark chocolate every day because I don't think it's bad for you, and we get this coconut bliss ice cream made with coconut milk. I'll eat that a lot. It's amazing. When we go out to eat, Jay and I always get dessert. He has a sweet tooth, as well."
Robbie Williams starves himself to lose weight.
The 'Candy' hitmaker stayed away from the calorific treats over the Christmas period in a bid to stop the festive bulge, and his new low-calorie diet has stuck with him through to this year as well.
He said: "My secret is not eating. Christmas was just a vast array of chocolate and cake and sugar and carbohydrates.
"I knew I was doing promo in Australia and I did a rather unhealthy thing of not eating .
"My regime so far year is to have a big breakfast and then two protein shakes for the rest of the day."
The 40-year-old singer admits gorging on tasty snacks is his downfall and he finds he tends to reach for unhealthy foods when his mind isn't occupied with making music.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he explained during an interview with Australian radio station Mix 94.5: "My life used to be about sex, drugs and rock and now and it's now about cake.
"When I'm not on tour, I'm at home eating crisps and cake and watching reality TV, and if I do it for too long without doing an album I end up wearing an elasticated waist band or a kaftan as I go really fat and I grow a beard and look like a killer. So I have to release an album to stop me being morbidly obese."
Katy Perry refused to kiss Miley Cyrus because she doesn't know where her "infamous" tongue "has been".
The 29-year-old singer locked lips with the 'Adore' hitmaker during her Bangerz World Tour last month, but Katy pulled away after Miley attempted to slip her tongue inside her mouth.
Speaking to Australia's 'Sunrise', Katy explained: "I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know, as girls do, and then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away.
"God knows where that tongue has been. We don't know! That tongue is so infamous!"
Meanwhile, the 'Dark Horse' hitmaker kicks off her own Prismatic world tour on May 7, so she has put herself on a strict diet in a bid to be in the best shape she possibly can for the shows.
She said: "It's a lot of work, I have to be very focused. Right now I've cut out all alcohol, all fatty foods, a lot of dairy. I go home and I'm going to have like mostly vegetarian, with some protein on the side like chicken.
"I'm almost 30 guys, my body does not snap back any more!"
Mila Kunis is to guest star on 'Two and a Half Men'.
The 30-year-old actress will appear opposite her fiancé Ashton Kutcher, 36, in an upcoming episode of the US sitcom, CBS announced on Tuesday (04.02.14).
The brunette beauty will play Vivian, a young, free-spirited traveller, who turns up on Walden's (Ashton) doorstep and plays with his heart strings.
Walden believes Vivian is 'The One', but her appearance causes a stir as he was just about to propose to someone else.
Meanwhile, Mila and Ashton - who starred as an on/off couple on Fox's 'That '70s Show' from 1998 to 2006 - sparked rumours they had got engaged last week after the 'Ted' star was spotted wearing a diamond sparkler on her ring finger while out shopping in Los Angeles, California.
The funnyman - who was married to Demi Moore before divorcing her last year - started dating Mila in April 2012 and they have been inseparable ever since.
However, Mila has previously claimed she isn't interested in tying the knot, but hasn't ruled it out in the future.
She said: "I would love to find 'The One'. But I'm not sure about marriage. I see no need. I'll be with somebody because I want to, not because a piece of paper tells me I have to. That said, if the love of my life thinks it's important, then fine, I'll get married."
Lea Michele likes to walk around her garden naked.
The 'Glee' star admits she feels confident in her own skin and doesn't mind looking at herself without any clothes on, but insists she only strips off in her own home.
She said: "I'm very comfortable with my own body. I come from Broadway--everybody's naked on Broadway. I like to think of myself as more granola.
"I'm not going to run around naked or anything like that unless I'm at my own home. Today, I walked into my backyard and was standing out there naked for a while. Don't tell, my neighbours will freak out!"
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old singer is set to release her debut album, 'Louder', on March 17, and she admits she originally wanted it to be "pop-heavy" but after the death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith - who died from an accidental alcohol and drug overdose - last year she changed the genre and went for a more "dramatic" approach.
She explained to April's edition of Seventeen magazine: "I set out to make a really pop-heavy album that was fun and empowering - I love Katy Perry and Kelly Clarkson! But then I found myself picking and writing these songs that were very emotional and dramatic."
