Julia Roberts upgraded the security system at her Malibu mansion after a "crazed stalker" tried to break-in.
The 'August: Osage County' star's team of bodyguards, comprised of all ex-US military, reportedly intercepted the intruder when he tried to gain access to her $9.5 million property in California in January, but he managed to run off before police arrived at the scene.
A neighbour, who witnessed the incident, told gossip website RadarOnline.com: "By the time I got there, the man was just crawling out of the cactus bush outside her property and the security guards were talking to the police. One of them was boasting saying: 'I'm an ex-Marine and I just picked him up and threw him head first in the cactus.'
"The security told me that it was some crazed stalker guy. He was a brave man for even trying to get in her place, as it's swarming with her detail and we have the Sheriff's Department come round every half an hour checking the street.
"The police didn't bother to try and catch him. They talked to the security then left."
Following the incident, Julia, who lives in the property with her husband Daniel Moder, nine-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and six-year-old son Henry, installed more cameras around the property and hired a new guard to prevent other unwanted visitors from getting close to her family.
The neighbour said: "Since that incident, she's had a guy in a blacked out car sat at the end of the cul-de-sac monitoring the comings and goings of the road. She's got cameras everywhere over her property, including two inside her gate. She's obviously determined for this not to happen again."
Sir Bruce Forsyth has quit 'Strictly Come Dancing' after 11 series.
The 86-year-old presenter has been the host of the celebrity dance contest since it first began in 2004 but he's now decided to step down from his role, although he will continue to present the Christmas and Children In Need Specials and other one-off shows.
Bruce said: "After 10 wonderful years and 11 series, I believe it is now the right time to step down from the rigours of presenting the Strictly live shows. I am very proud of what the show has achieved and confident it will entertain the nation for many years to come.
"I am also delighted that by presenting the Christmas and Children in Need shows I will continue to have a strong association with Strictly."
The legendary entertainer has previously admitted to struggling with the 'Strictly Come Dancing' filming schedule and had to take a break from the last series due to illness.
Mark Linsey, Entertainment Commissioning Controller for the BBC, said: "He [Bruce] is the all-time master and commander when it comes to Great British entertainers and Strictly owes him such a great deal."
"This is not a farewell, but you can't blame him for wanting to take things a little bit easier."
BBC One's official Twitter account echoed the sentiment writing: "Sir Bruce is one of the great showbiz legends of our time and @bbcstrictly's success is due in vast amounts to him. This is not farewell."
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi is pregnant.
The former 'Jersey Shore' star and her fiancé Jionni LaValle - who already have 20-month-old son Lorenzo - will have a "busy year" ahead of them as they are expecting their second child this autumn, which is around the same time they are set to tie the knot.
Snooki told Us Weekly: "Jionni and I were trying to have our second baby since November, so every month we kept taking tests, I'm due in the fall around my wedding time. Busy year!"
The couple have endured a lengthy engagement as Jionni popped the question over two years ago, but Snooki insists the baby's impending birth won't hinder her wedding plans and she wants to be in great shape for the big day.
She added: "I can clarify that our wedding is still on, and we are madly in love with each other. We've waited long enough and cannot wait. I also want to look somewhat in shape for my wedding. So along with still being a healthy pregnant woman, I still want to be strong and fit!"
Rumours of Snooki's pregnant first circulated in February but she declined to comment and, while she has openly discussed wanting a large family, she previously said she would put off having more children until after she wed and had built her dream home.
Jessica Simpson's children have shown her the meaning of life.
The singer shared two adorable snapshots of her kids, 22-month-old daughter Maxwell and nine-month-old son Ace Knute, on Instagram last night (03.04.14) and took the opportunity to express how "grateful" she is to have the youngsters in her life.
Alongside a photo of baby Ace in a plaid onesie, she wrote: "...now I know what my life is about. I am so grateful."
Jessica also posted a picture of Maxwell accompanied with the caption, "Maxi can't wait for RIO2", referencing the Amazonian rainforest animated sequel.
The proud mother, who has recently shed 50lbs of her baby weight, is engaged to Eric Johnson and is determined to stay in shape for her big day later this year.
She said previously: "Knowing that I have the wedding coming up is an incentive to stay on Weight Watchers, count my points and stay in the gym. I mean, when you see my dress, you'll know."
The blonde beauty is said to have changed the location for the ceremony at the last minute, moving the procedures from the Italian island of Capri this summer to somewhere closer to home in Los Angeles.
Emma Stone is obsessed with ghosts.
The 25-year-old actress has a morbid fascination with dying and admits she used to hang out in grave yards when she was younger because she liked "spooky things".
Emma said: "I was always in cemeteries when I was a kid. I was really into spooky things like ghosts and death."
The 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' star, who shot to fame after appearing in 'Superbad' in 2007, believes her success is down to the unique mindset she developed as a child.
She told The Guardian newspaper: "I have had an awareness of mortality since I was around six or seven. If it's not been in the forefront of my mind, it has at least been creeping over my shoulders.
"Everything happened younger because of that mentality; it has made me appreciate life in a really big way.
"It makes you live more fully if you are aware that you only have a finite amount of time."
Despite her successful career, Emma admits she lacks confidence in herself and finds death "oddly comforting."
She said: "I have never been an entirely carefree person. I am a mess in every way."
Gwyneth Paltrow's mother is helping her deal with her split from Chris Martin.
The 41-year-old actress has been seeking comfort from Blythe Danner since it was announced last month she and the Coldplay frontman - who have children Apple, nine, and Moses, seven - were calling time on their 10-year marriage.
A source said: "She is feeling this real sense of failure. She tried to put on a brave face. But finally, as her mum tried to comfort her, she broke down."
The 'Iron Man 3' star is "all over the map emotionally" as she's struggling to deal with the continuous public speculation, while trying to come to terms with her split.
The source explained: "On one hand, she's glad they're going forward. But this is also such a painful time.
"She's a lot more sensitive than anybody knows. She's absolutely terrified that divorcing Chris will make her an even bigger target for everyone to hate on."
Although Chris initially wanted to work at their issues and save their marriage, friends now believe he's relieved they've ended their relationship.
One pal told American's OK! magazine: "There is a big part of Chris that's relieved. The marriage had become extremely suffocating for him."
Britain's Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson treated their daughter Princess Beatrice to a meal on Wednesday night (02.04.14).
The former couple, who divorced in 1996, proved they still remain on good terms as they joined their eldest daughter Beatrice, 25, for a dinner at Restaurant C in London.
The mother and daughter looked super stylish as the duchess showed off her newly slimmed down figure in a purple dress, which she teamed with cute flats.
Beatrice opted for a white shirt and knee-length skirt, but added a hint of sparkle by choosing to wear jewel-embellished ballet flats.
Andrew, 54, on the other hand, kept things traditional by wearing a navy tailored suit and matching blue tie.
The family looked happy as they tucked into a delicious Italian meal, before leaving and flashing their big smiles at awaiting photographers.
Despite ending their marriage 17 years ago, Andrew and Sarah have stayed friends for the benefit of Beatrice and Eugenie, 24, and are often seen together at events.
Meanwhile, Sarah is currently single, but Andrew has been linked to George Clooney's ex-girlfriend, Monika Jakisic.
However, the duchess insists she's not desperate to find a partner because she's just taking her life day-by-day.
She said previously: "I can't really answer questions about the future because I live so much in the present, for the excitement of today."
Glastonbury organisers insist they can't reveal the festival's final headline act until May due to "contractual reasons."
Festival boss Michael Eavis has already confirmed Arcade Fire and Kasabian to play on Friday, June 27 and Sunday, June 29 but his daughter Emily insists they can't announce the Saturday headliner until next month.
When asked about the final name, she told BBC 6 Music: "We can't give you that yet. We're under ... It's just for contractual reasons, but it'll be with you soon. We've got it all booked, it was all confirmed a couple of weeks ago. It's purely that we can't give it to you yet. The full line-up, the thousands and thousands of acts playing across the hundreds of stages, will be with you in May. This is just 80 or 90 bands, a few hand-picked to give you a taster."
The festival line-up at Worthy Farm this year also includes Lily Allen, Lana Del Rey, Blondie, Robert Plant and Jack White.
Emily also hinted that the former White Stripes hitmaker will not be appearing at any other UK festivals other than Glastonbury.
She said: "Getting Jack White was a really big deal for us. He's got a history here that goes way back and obviously he's had some brilliant moments here across all the stages.
"When he said he wanted to play here and didn't want to do any other UK festivals, we were really excited. Having him here on a big Pyramid [stage] slot will be just right - he's obviously got all the songs."
Tinchy Stryder's new music is inspired by Kendrick Lamar.
The British rapper has been hard at work on his new album and has been putting together a comprehensive collection of songs, which he says have been loosely influenced by the US hip-hop icon.
Speaking at the F&F Autumn/Winter 2014 fashion show at London's Somerset House, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It's going really good, I would say the album is finished but it's never finished! A couple of days ago I went to the studio to record a new track. This time I'm being more picky. Even if a song is good, if it doesn't fit with the rest, it's out.
"Someone who has really inspired me is Kendrick Lamar. Not many albums I can listen to start to finish, his are like a journey. This album might be my fourth, but it feels like people are just are getting to know me. I'm starting to open to up."
The 'Number 1' hitmaker also revealed he would love to work with N-Dubz star Dappy for a third time, but remained coy as to whether fans could expect another collaboration on his new record.
Tinchy said: "I love N-Dubz, they're cool. I did 'Spaceship' with Dappy after 'Number 1'.You never know, we might end up in the studio and make something. Me and Dappy have got that connection, so who knows..."
The 27-year-old star isn't a fan of the overly-sexualised portrayal of women in hip-hop and says he won't be going all 'Blurred Lines' in his next music video.
He mused: "Hip-hop videos have always had that culture to it, but here in the UK you don't really see that a lot. I think it depends how you put yourself across. If you allow yourself to be portrayed in a certain way then you can only blame yourself ... I feel like when there a woman that respects herself, I respect them."
Tinchy was joined by stars including Billie and Sam Faiers, Amy Willerton and Sophie Ellis-Bextor at the F&F fashion show last night (03.04.14) to watch their new mens and womenswear collections go down the runway.
EastEnders' Max Branning will become a suspect in the upcoming murder of Lucy Beale.
The womaniser - played by Jake Wood - will become the prime focus in the chilling case after it was revealed in last night's (03.04.14) episode that he's been having an affair with the 20-year-old businesswoman (Hetti Bywater).
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "This development is really set to put the cat amongst the pigeons in Albert Square.
"It will shock many viewers and also put Max closer that anyone to Lucy just weeks before she is killed."
This isn't the first time Max has struck up a relationship with a younger woman as he also had an affair with his late son Bradley's wife Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner) in 2007.
However, the news that Max is sleeping with Lucy could be enough to turn his recovering alcoholic daughter Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa), who is close friends with the blonde beauty, back to her old ways.
The source explained: "If Lucy's friend Lauren finds out it could be enough to send her back to the bottle. She will really struggle to cope."
Lucy will leave Walford later this month after she's brutally slaughtered by a fellow resident, but bosses are remaining tight-lipped on the identity of the killer until next February.
Amy Willerton isn't shocked Sam Faiers and Joey Essex have got back together.
The former Miss Universe contestant enjoyed a brief fling with 'The Only Way Is Essex' star during their stint on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here' last winter, but she insists she's thrilled the hunk has rekindled his romance with Sam.
Quizzed about the on/off couple's latest reunion, Amy exclusively told BANG Showbiz at the F&F Autumn/Winter 2014 fashion show last night (03.04.14): "No! Oh my gosh, I'm not surprised at all. It was always going to happen."
The blonde bombshell has never even exchanged words with Sam, who has just quit 'TOWIE' to focus on her relationship with Joey and her health after being diagnosed with Crohn's disease earlier this year.
She said: "I've never met Sam. I don't know, I've never felt the need to say anything. She's somebody I've not met or ever said anything bad about. Good luck to them. My direction, I'm heading more LA than Essex."
Amy also opened up about her former jungle campmate Rebecca Adlington, who recently had a nose job after receiving hurtful Twitter messages about her appearance, claiming the Olympic swimmer should feel confident within herself and believe in her own unique talents.
She said: "Honestly, I think beauty is subjective. Whenever Becky had an issue with herself I would say to her, 'Look at you, you've got a fiancé who loves you. I'm single, I'm by myself. You don't need to be envious of me.'
"My achievements as a model will last a maximum of 10 years, the gold medals she's got are going to last forever. There's no reason to feel doubtful about herself.
"She's a great girl and she's done some amazing things. For me, just be comfortable in your own skin, love yourself, look at yourself as an individual and what makes you beautiful. I had braces and acne, I'm not perfect."
Amy was joined by celebrities including Professor Green, Millie Mackintosh, Tinchy Stryder and Sam and Billie Faiers at the F&F autumn/winter 2014 fashion show held at London's Somerset House.
Guests sipped on champagne while watching the new electric indulgence-themed mens and womenswear collections go down the runway.
Holly Hagan's ex-boyfriend has joined 'Geordie Shore' for a brand new series.
The reality show will hit screens this summer and promises to be bigger and better than before after hunky host Aaron Chalmers joined the cast in Newcastle for series eight.
The 26-year-old lad is no stranger to the cast and is set to cause trouble in the house as he plans to team up with womaniser Gaz Beadle to make a "dream pulling machine".
With his dangerously good looks and tattooed physique, Aaron, who recently had a fling with Holly, may find himself caught up in a nasty love triangle along the way.
Meanwhile, Vicky Pattison is returning to the show and there's set to be a few feathers ruffled as she's keen to put Marnie Simpson, who joined in series seven, in her place.
Vicky said: "I've had a good long break, time to see my friends and family and do everything I've wanted to do, and now I can't wait to get back in and see the rest of the gang!
"Marnie is not the queen of the house, she's going to find it out the hard way if she doesn't change her ways."
Charlotte Crosby, Scotty T and James Tindale will also create their fair share of drama in the house as they are also returning for the upcoming series.
Charlotte said: "It's that time again! Back to Newcastle, back to the house of hangovers, crazy parties and even crazier people! And I can't wait! It's been to long! So long I'm not even sure I'm gonna recognise everyone when I get back! What on earth do we have in store this time? Who knows but whatever happens I am ready for it! Bring it on!"
