AC/DC’s Malcolm Young too sick to perform live

AC/DC's Malcolm Young is "too sick" to perform live with the band anymore.
The 61-year-old guitarist, who founded the Australian rock group with his brother Angus in the 1970s, is said to be seriously ill, sparking rumours the band could split after 41 years.
In an interview with Australia's ABC radio, Choirboys frontman Mark Gable, who is close friends with Malcolm and Angus, said: "From what I understand, and it's even been confirmed in part by his son Ross, that it would appear Malcolm is unable to perform anymore
"It's not just that he is unwell, it's that it is quite serious. It will constitute that he definitely won't be able to perform live.
"He will probably not be able to record."
He claims the band could still continue with plans for their 40th anniversary world tour and go on to record their first album since 2008's 'Black Ice' without Malcolm, after his nephew Stevie took his place during a past tour.
Mark explained: "There was speculation that they had this even tacit agreement that if no member currently was able to perform, DC would cease.
"However, Alex Young's son Stevie replaced Malcolm Young a few years back for a tour, and nobody knew the difference."
Mark has been close friends with AC/DC, also made up of singer Brian Johnson, bassist Cliff Williams and drummer Phil Rudd, for a number of years after the Choirboys recording their first album in the same studio where the 'Whole Lotta Rosie' hitmakers worked on their first five records.
Regarding a world tour, Brian previously said: "It's been 40 years of the band's existence, so I think we're gonna try to do 40 gigs, 40 shows, to thank the fans for their undying loyalty."
The rock legends were also due to head back into the studio next month.

Britain’s Prince Harry invited to Victoria’s Secret show

Britain's Prince Harry has been invited to sit on the front row at the Victoria's Secret fashion show later this year.
The lingerie brand, which is modelled by "Victoria's Angels", is set to bring its legendary annual catwalk show to London for the first time later this year, and veteran angel Adriana Lima announced at a press conference that she'd like to invite the flame-haired royal.
She said: "We're pretty excited to be here today because we have this great announcement to make.
"The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is the biggest fashion event in the world, for sure, and we're very proud and honoured to announce that we are headed to London this year. Yes!
"I'd like to invite Prince Harry, if he would like to come. He definitely has a front row seat!"
The event has been held in cities including Cannes, Los Angeles, Miami and New York in the past but as it's been confirmed for the Prince's hometown the models hope he will make an appearance.
The 29-year-old royal is currently dating former dance student Cressida Bonas and although there have been rumours of an impending engagement, it was suggested recently that she may not be the right woman for him.
A source told E! Online: "They [Harry's family and friends] think she's too carefree and would find it difficult to live with the protocol that comes with the job, which of course it is. It might be too much of a constraint for her."

Drake bought Rihanna $42,000 ring

Drake has bought Rihanna a $42,000 ring.
The 'From Time' rapper, who is reportedly dating the 'Unapologetic' singer, has splashed out on the yellow diamond, although it is not believed to be an engagement ring.
A source told The Daily Star newspaper: "Rihanna was delighted with the gift.
"She has accepted it as a token of Drake's love. He's now even changing his schedule to spend as much time as possible with her.
"It's all getting increasingly serious between them."
The 'Stay' hitmaker, 26, and the 27-year-old star have been "inseparable" in recent weeks and Rihanna hopes he will ask her to start looking at properties soon so they can plan to move in together.
The loved-up pair have been dating exclusively for a number of weeks, following a brief fling in 2009, after Rihanna's split from ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
The pair were photographed holding hands in London and embraced after Drake's performance at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night (13.04.14).
A source said: "Rihanna immediately ran to Drake, jumped into his arms and planted a fat kiss on his lips."

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick won’t marry

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick have no plans to get married.
The long-term couple, who have four-year-old son Mason and 21-month-old daughter Penelope together, were rumoured to finally be tying the knot this year, but sources now claim they have no intention of ever making their union official.
A source told E! Online: "It's not happening. They're very happy as is. It's a story the tabloids revisit constantly but there's no truth to it and never has been."
Kourtney will join her younger sister Khloé Kardashian on new show 'Kourtney & Khloé Take the Hamptons' this autumn, and the series will see the girls attempt to open their first pop-up store based on Dash New York in The Hamptons.
Scott is still in mourning after his father, Jeffery, sadly passed away less than three months after his mother, Bonnie, but is nevertheless expected to join the sisters in his hometown of Long Island.
Asked whether the entrepreneur would find it tough living there without his family, the insider added: "He has to do it; it's his job. But in general, people are worried about him. He's been a little lost."
Kourtney and Scott, who have been dating since 2006, were reportedly planning a "spectacular" wedding in Mexico to rival Kim Kardashian's upcoming nuptials to Kanye West.

Cheryl Cole wants Kim Kardashian on X Factor

Cheryl Cole wants Kim Kardashian to be a guest mentor on 'The X Factor'.
The 'Call My Name' hitmaker announced earlier this year that she'd be returning to her seat on the judging panel after a four year break from the ITV talent show, and it's now been revealed that she's been trying to persuade Simon Cowell to get the reality TV star involved.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Cheryl's been busy convincing Simon that while Kim isn't a singer, she'd be a great mentor because she knows how to handle fame.
"The idea is that Kim would fly over and give special media training to the acts towards the end of the show.
"And obviously Simon realises that the inevitable publicity would do the ratings no harm."
However, it's been suggested that Cheryl, 30, also has her own intentions when it comes to wanting her American pal - who recently appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine with her fiancé Kanye West - to feature on the show.
The source explained: "Cheryl is no doubt thinking that if she swings it for Kim, then Kim will probably repay her by endorsing one of her acts.
"Cheryl is desperate to win this year. She feels like she has something to prove to Simon and the British public."

Channing Tatum for X-Men?

Channing Tatum would "die" for a role in 'X-Men'.
The '21 Jump Street' star has admitted he's been meeting with producers of the sci-fi films and has been discussing the possibility of taking on the role of Gambit, who he says he relates to because of their shared heritage.
He said: "I met with Lauren Shuler Donner. And I would love it. Gambit is really the only X-Man I've ever loved.
"I mean I've loved them all, they're all great, but I guess from being down south - my dad's from Louisiana, I'm from Mississippi, Alabama, Florida - I don't know. I just relate to him."
Gambit, a Marvel character who appeared in 2009 film 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' played by Taylor Kitsch, is often referred to as a ladies man and Tatum loves that he's not much of a superhero.
He explained to MTV News: "He's just kind of suave...He's the most un X-Men X-Man that's ever been in X-Men. Other than maybe Wolverine, who's like the anti-hero. He's a thief. He's not even a hero. He's kind of walking the line of grey.
"He loves women and drinking and smoking and stuff so he's just a cool guy who happens to have a moral centre...I hope it [comes together]."
The 33-year-old actor confessed that although there's been no confirmation he is already practicing for the role.
He said: "You never know it's a weird industry. If the stars align, I would die to play it. I'm already working on the accent. It's crappy at the moment."
The next instalment in the series 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' is set for release next month.

Beyoncé and Jay Z to do joint tour?

Beyoncé and Jay Z are reportedly planning a joint tour.
The 'XO' singer and her 'Holy Grail' rapper husband are said to be getting ready to announce that they will be doing a joint tour of the United States after making a number of surprise appearances at each other's gigs, according to the New York Post newspaper's Page Six.
The couple - who recently wrapped on their own individual tours, with Jay performing 52 dates in support of his 'Magna Carta...Holy Grail' album and Beyoncé concluding her 'Mrs. Carter Show' world tour last month - are expected to play at 20 stadiums across the US this summer with a New York date of July 4.
Beyoncé, 32, and Jay Z, 44, have performed their hit single 'Drunk in Love' at a number of high-profile events including the Grammy Awards, a Super Bowl party and one of Beyoncé's O2 Arena gigs in London, in recent months.
The hip-hop pairing - who have 2-year-old daughter Blue Ivy together - also took to the stage individually at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California at the weekend with Beyoncé joining her sister Solange for a surprise rendition of 'Losing You' while Jay performed alongside fellow rappers Nas and Diddy.

Tom Baker is happy Doctor Who cameo upset former stars

Tom Baker is pleased his appearance in the 'Doctor Who' 50th anniversary special upset some of the other former stars.
The 80-year-old actor - who portrayed the titular Time Lord from 1974 to 1981 - had a cameo role as The Curator opposite Matt Smith in last year's feature-length episode 'The Day of the Doctor', and he was the only classic Doctor to be asked back.
Tom mischievously claims his return was made even better by the idea it annoyed the actors from the sci-fi show's original run.
When asked by BANG Showbiz if he was aware his appearance in the special upset some ex-Doctors, he laughed: "Oh I hope so, yes! Thanks a lot for reminding me of that. That really pleased me."
Colin Baker - who portrayed the Sixth Doctor from 1984 to 1986 - previously complained he felt like a "second class citizen" when he discovered only Tom would be in the episode, adding: "All or none, that's what I would have thought."
Tom also revealed he had considered turning down his cameo in the 50th adventure but was persuaded to take part by the programme's former producer Caroline Skinner.
Speaking at an event to launch classic 'Doctor Who' stories on The Horror Channel, the eccentric star revealed: "Yeah I did contemplate not doing it, but I was persuaded by a girl called Caroline Skinner. She came to meet me in Rye in some little hotel and she begged me to be in it, and she's a very persuasive girl and she was very charming about it and said I could tamper with the script, so I said yes to her. Anyway then the script arrived a few months later and I didn't much care for the script so I rang the BBC and said, 'Listen get me Caroline Skinner. They said, 'Who?' I said, 'Is that the 'Doctor Who' production office?' They said, 'Yeah.' I replied, 'And you're asking me who Caroline Skinner is? She's the producer.' Then I heard, 'Oh I'm so sorry, she's not with us any more.' ... By that time I'd agreed to do it. But I'm not sorry now."
When asked if he knew whether the mysterious Curator was an older version of the Fourth Doctor or a new character, Tom quipped: "Typical of the BBC, nobody knows, he could be anyone, he could be the next Director General for all we know..."
'Doctor Who' kicks off on The Horror Channel this Friday (18.04.14) with the very first story 'An Unearthly Child', starring William Hartnell as the Doctor.
This will be followed by a special 'Who On Horror' weekend marathon featuring a story of each of the first seven Doctors shown in chronological order.

Lucy Watson: Spencer Matthews has ‘hold’ over Louise Thompson

'Made in Chelsea' star Lucy Watson believes Spencer Matthews has a "hold" over Louise Thompson.
The reality TV star - who briefly dated Spencer last year - feels sorry for the brunette beauty as the hunky lothario, who admitted to cheating on Louise last year, has the ability to worm his way back into her life.
Lucy told new! magazine: "She [Louise] and Spencer have so much history. She obviously cares about him a lot and wants to keep him in her life. I think he has a hold over her. We don't really speak about it because it's an awkward subject."
Meanwhile, Lucy recently split from her co-star Jamie Laing, who declared his love for her with a horse and carriage last Christmas, after he locked lips with a cheerleader while he was holidaying in Miami, but she admits their failed romance didn't surprise her.
She explained: "It was all over the press about who he was with in Barbados and Miami. I didn't want to be with him because I knew that's how he'd behave ... I just found it a bit embarrassing because of the way he openly declared his love for me."
Despite their turbulent relationship, Lucy insists she has rekindled a friendship with the McVities heir, but she's now determined to stay single for a while.
She added: "We're fine now and it's better for me this way. I enjoy being single."

Jamie Foxx: Being ‘fly’ is costly

Jamie Foxx says being "fly" is too expensive.
'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' star has had a varied career since rising to fame over twenty years ago, and although he's a multi-millionaire he confesses living up to the celebrity lifestyle can be costly.
He said: "You want to be Beverly Hills, you want to be fly, so you get your pool on when people come round, so it's 80 degrees, 'Check the pool, check the Jacuzzi, it's 104' [degrees].
"But when you get that bill...next time they come over to my house it's freezing, ice cold. That thing is like two grand a month."
The 46-year-old actor - who has two daughters, Corinne and Annalise - worked as a stand-up comedian at nightclubs in during the early years of his career, and he's admits he sometimes ran into trouble.
He explained to The Sun newspaper: "One day when someone was messing with me in a club, this dude who was somewhat of a gangster said, 'Hey Foxx is someone messing with you?' and I said, 'As a matter of fact they are, there's the guy right there.'
"I was like a little girl and they sorted him out."
Jamie claims his "gangster" acquaintance then expected him to pay him back by getting him and his friends into all the clubs.
He said: "But then I owed him. So every time I went to the city it was, 'We are going into the club with you, right?' and I'm looking at 15 guys."
