Selena Gomez hires Katy Perry’s manager

Selena Gomez has hired Katy Perry's manager.
The 21-year-old singer has recruited Bradford Cobb, who turned Katy into a superstar, to help run her schedule after she sacked her mother Mandy and step-father Brian as her managerial team last month, according to Us Magazine.
Bradford has spent more than a decade in the industry and is recognised for turning artists into pop sensations.
The 'Come & Get It' hitmaker ended her professional relationship with her parents, who have controlled her affairs since 2007, as she believes she's "outgrown them".
Selena has argued with her parents on many occasions in the past over the direction of her career and her on/off relationship with troubled star Justin Bieber, but it is believed family friction wasn't to blame for their split.
The 'Spring Breakers' actress still remains close with her parents, but they are annoyed about her decision.
Meanwhile, Mandy and Brian made it clear last month they were unhappy about Selena spending time with Justin, who has had a number of run-ins with the law, as they believe he's responsible for driving her to rehab in January.
A source said previously: "They're doing their best to supervise them. They're tolerating it as long as they know that there is someone who has eyes on them all the time."

Katy Perry dating Diplo?

Katy Perry is reportedly in a "fun" relationship with Diplo.
The 'Roar' hitmaker - who recently split from John Mayer - has sparked rumours she's dating the DJ after the pair were spotted getting cosy over a dinner at the Marlton Hotel in New York on Thursday night (24.04.14).
The duo then went on to attend the 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' after party at the Skylight at Moynihan Station.
An onlooker told Us Magazine: "Diplo and Katy were super affectionate. It's a really fun relationship for them both, easy and casual."
Katy and Diplo have been friends for a long time, but they fuelled romance rumours earlier this month after they were seen looking closer than ever at Coachella's Jeremy Scott and Adidas Party in Indio, California.
A source said previously: "They've been friends forever. It definitely looked like more than than that! At one point he even had his arms around her."
The 29-year-old singer - who was previously married to Russell Brand - reportedly had one female fan thrown out of the party after spending too long with Diplo.
Despite her blossoming romance with Diplo, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, the brunette beauty recently admitted to using the mobile dating site Tinder.

Khloé Kardashian not taking French Montana to sister Kim’s wedding

Khloé Kardashian isn't taking French Montana to her sister Kim and Kanye West's wedding.
The 29-year-old reality TV star - who filed for divorce from estranged husband Lamar Odom last year - hasn't invited her beau to the Parisian nuptials next month because she doesn't want to take the spotlight away from her sibling.
A source told Hollywood Life.com: "If Khloé did that [invite French], that would compete with the significance and royalty of Kim and Kanye's day. So no, she isn't. That's not something she feels would be appropriate at this time."
Khloé and French, whose real name is Karim Kharbouch, have been inseparable since they were first seen together at a party thrown by P. Diddy to celebrate his son's birthday last month and they have since been on a double date with Kourtney Kardashian, 35, and her boyfriend Scott Disick.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star has become smitten with her new man following the deterioration of her marriage to basketball ace Lamar amid claims he cheated on her and had drug addiction problems.
A source previously said of French: "Khloé adores him. She keeps telling everyone what a great guy he is."
Meanwhile, Kim and Kanye, who have 10-month-old daughter North together, are set to tie the knot on May 24 in France after getting engaged last October.

Leslie Mann wants to experience sex as a man

Leslie Mann wishes she could experience sex from a male perspective.
The 'Other Woman' star would like to transform into a man for the day and see how the "real mechanics" feel for them when they get frisky beneath the sheets.
Asked what she would do if she became a man for the day, she replied: "I would have sex. I would love to know how it operates! Like what the real mechanics feel like! It would be fun to feel the other side, wouldn't it?"
Meanwhile, the 42-year-old actress, who is married to producer-and-director Judd Apatow, admits a beautiful bouquet of flowers won't win over heart because they're "a waste" and she'd much rather be given $100 instead.
Speaking to BBC Radio 1's Greg James, she explained: "I feel like flowers are a little bit of a waste because they cost like $100. Why not give me something I can use over and over again? Just give me the cash, I would be so excited!"
Leslie's co-star Cameron Diaz added: "If an envelope showed up at my door with $100, I would be happy!"
However, Cameron, 41 - who has previously dated Justin Timberlake, Jared Leto, and baseball player Alex Rodriguez - recently admitted she's not actively searching for a man to share her life with at the moment.

Peaches Geldof’s inquest opened next week

An inquest into the death of Peaches Geldof will begin next week, it has been confirmed.
The hearing, which is expected to last around 10 minutes, will be opened and adjourned by coroner Roger Hatch at Gravesend Old Town Hall in Kent on Thursday May 1.
A spokesman for Mr. Hatch said a senior police officer will make an official statement during the hearing and the coroner will also release the cause of death.
However, a date for a full inquest into Peaches' death is due to be set in late-July, the spokesman added.
The body of the TV personality was discovered at the home she shared with her husband Thomas Cohen and two sons Phaedra, one, and Astala, two, in Wrotham, Kent, South East England, on April 7.
Police have so far described her death as "sudden and unexplained", but non-suspicious as there was no drugs or suicide note found at her home.
However, a post-mortem carried out on April 9 at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford proved to be "inconclusive", so samples of her blood and tissue were sent off to the laboratory for toxicology testing.
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty was laid to rest last Monday (21.04.14) at St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence Church in Davington, Kent, where her father Sir Bob Geldof delivered a heartbreaking eulogy.
TV presenter Alexa Chung, Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell, singer Eliza Doolittle, actress Jaime Winstone and Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman were among the mourners at the funeral.

Seth Rogen was a bad neighbour

Seth Rogen used to push cheeseburgers through his neighbour's postbox.
The 32-year-old actor, who plays Mac Radner in the new film 'Bad Neighbours', admits he used to have an on-going feud with one of his fellow residents, but got enjoyment out of shoving meaty treats through his door.
Speaking on the 'Graham Norton Show' last night (25.04.14), he said: "I used to live with the actor Martin Starr and our neighbour hated us.
"We would go to McDonalds and shove cheeseburgers down in his mail slot."
Seth's co-star Zac Efron admits he too has had a bad experience with neighbours in the past as fans would knock on his windows in the middle of the night.
He explained: "I lived in this case study house it was designed with all windows all around the house.
"In the middle of the night and there would be people tapping on the glass. I started keeping a samurai sword by my bed in case."
However, Seth can understand why Zac, 26, was bombarded with fans because he thinks women can't help but be "seduced" by his good looks and charm.
He said of the 'High School Musical' star: "There is no demographic that is not seduced by him.
"Women make a noise that I've never heard in my life when they see Zac. I could spend three hours with a woman and she would never make that sound."

Nicki Minaj wants acting career

Nicki Minaj wants to pursue an acting career.
The 31-year-old rapper had a small role in the new movie 'The Other Woman' alongside Cameron Diaz, Kate Upton and Leslie Mann, but she's now determined to land herself bigger and better roles in the near future.
Speaking to MTV News, she said: "I am going on auditions, and I'm trying to find the right role with the right director and the right writers. I want to be part of something from the beginning stage this time, and I want the role to be custom-made for me."
The brunette beauty, who is currently working on her third studio album, is adamant she'll still be able to juggle her music career if she did decide to take on a film role.
She explained: "It gave me an idea as to what the world would be like ... And now that I know it's something I can do, I think I want to expand a role eventually."
Nicki is open to any genre, but hopes to make another comedy one day and has her sights set on a high-budget action film because she believes she's able to adapt.
She said: "I have such a versatile personality. Some days I feel like I wanna do a Will Ferrell comedy; some days I feel like I wanna do more like a 'Set It Off'-type of movie with some other young black actresses and like creating a movement with that. And sometimes I think, maybe I could do 'X-Men' or something."

Louise Redknapp upset by Eternal snub

Louise Redknapp was upset she wasn't asked to appear on 'The Big Reunion' with Eternal.
The star has claimed her former band mates - Kelle Bryan and sisters Easther and Vernie Bennett - made the decision to return on the ITV2 show without seeing if she wanted to rejoin the group.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It all happened before I knew about it. It pulled on my heart strings.
"That time in my life was wonderful and seeing them perform brought back a lot of good memories.
"There were some fab songs and good times, but they didn't ask me to be part of the reunion - which was sad."
Despite being hurt over the apparent snub, Louise admitted she wouldn't have actually taken part in the reality show even if the remaining members had asked her.
She added: "I wouldn't have done it, but it would've been nice to be asked."
However, Kelle claimed earlier this year Louise wouldn't be part of the reunion because the time wasn't right.
She said: "She's really supportive of us doing the show. It wasn't quite the right time for her to be involved and the right forum, but she wishes us all the best.
"And for her, she thinks Eternal is a really big and special part of her life."

The Klaxons’ two-year track

The Klaxons spent over two years working on one song.
The 'Golden Skans' hitmakers first wrote 'Invisible Forces' - which appears on their forthcoming third album 'Love Frequency' - while on the road some time ago, but after the track was criticised when they played it live, they decided to make some changes, only to stick with the original version when they committed it to record.
Bassist Jamie Reynolds said: "We've never worked for two and a half years on a song before. We wrote it on tour, then recorded it and it was a banger when we played it but people kept criticising it. It's about the idea of a love you can't see."
Singer James Righton added: "We ended up sticking with the original."
The group also produced a number of tracks on the album themselves, and admit they found it "tough".
Jamie said: "We wanted to make computer music, but we didn't know how. This track 'Show Me A Miracle' is us saying, 'We're having a tough time working this out' behind a feelgood pop song."
James added to NME magazine: "Our first record was us in a small room out of our minds. But you can't be f***ed when you're using computers - someone's got to control the mouse."

Francis Ford Coppola: Classic films need time

Francis Ford Coppola thinks films should be judged 10 years after their release.
The 75-year-old filmmaker - whose directorial prominence was cemented with the release of 1972's 'The Godfather' - believes movies are often recognised for the impact they created long after their initial debut on the big screen.
He said: "Films I thought, because of their original reception, were failures yet went on in time to be regarded as classics. Sometimes I think films shouldn't be judged until 10 years have passed."
Talking about what is required for a movie to be considered quality, he explained: "The balance of depth, complexity, passionate feeling and entertainment."
Coppola insists the "holy grail" of filmmaking is mastering commercial and artistic success of the movie.
He added to Empire magazine: "There were always two sides - the commercial and the artistic. Of course, the 'holy grail' was to achieve both in the same film.
"I've always wanted to break new ground and yet let there be heartbreaking moments of humanity - with goals like that you pretty much always feel as if you're coming short."

Alan Halsall is enjoying fathermood

Alan Halsall likes to change nappies.
The 'Coronation Street' actor - whose wife Lucy-Jo Hudson gave birth to daughter Sienna-Rae last year - has said he loves being a hands-on father.
He told The Sun newspaper's TV Magazine: "I do share of nappy changing - the more the merrier. She's eight months old now and a real giggler; I think Lucy would say she's got my laugh.
"And she's got Lucy's eyes. She's absolutely beautiful and so happy. Life couldn't get any better. Fatherhood is fantastic and it changes everything. Sienna-Rae comes first now."
The soap star admitted he struggles to be away from his daughter when he's filming, and rushing home as soon as he finishing his scenes.
He added: "I miss my little girl, Sienna-Rae, when I'm at work so, as soon as I finish a scene, I'm in the car as quick as I can because I want to part of everything."
Alan also revealed he likes to prank his co-stars, and his main victim is Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald).
He said: "I'l get his mobile phone and text his parents something stupid like: 'Can I borrow your garden rake?' They'll ring him and he won't have a clue."

Cameron Diaz: Walk away from cheaters

Cameron Diaz joked 'boozin' it with the girls' is the best way to deal with an unfaithful boyfriend.
The actress admitted she has learned to be more mature over the years and insisted now she would know when to leave if a partner cheated on her.
Speaking to MTV News about how to cope with a breakup, she said: "Boozin' it with the girls ... [Or] just walk away.
"In my wiser years, I know now you just walk away ... [I would] do something good with my life. After I sobered up."
Meanwhile, Kate Upton - who stars alongside Cameron and Leslie Mann in 'The Other Woman' - handed out some advised on how to get revenge as you're walking away.
She joked: "Wear some tight pants. Change your number, don't give them a chance to explain themselves."
Kate knows the heartbreak that comes with an unfaithful partner, having recently revealed her own experiences with cheaters.
She admitted: "I definitely have been cheated on. Everybody's been through betrayal some way or another in their life. You're heartbroken and you have to heal that.
"I personally think the best revenge is just walking away and not wasting another second of your time with someone who's clearly emotionally handicapped."
