Outcast starring Nicolas Cage tipped for sequel

'Outcast' starring Nicolas Cage is being tipped for a sequel.
The 50-year-old actor plays legendary Crusader-turned-bandit, Gallain, in the forthcoming film and 'Resident Evil' producer Jeremy Bolt has already announced plans for a sequel, reports Variety.com.
Talking in Beijing on Thursday (17.04.14), Bolt said: "We are planning a worldwide release, including the US and China, in September and October this year.
"'Outcast' has been acclaimed by buyers, and we are determined to make a sequel."
The American action adventure is directed by Nicholas Powell while James Dormer penned the script.
'Outcast' follows the tale of the heir of the Imperial throne who becomes the target of assassination by his older brother.
The prince is protected by his sister, and needs the help of Crusader, Arken (Hayden Christensen), who must overcome his own personal issues and enlists Gallain's aid to help the boy obtain his rightful place on the throne.
Cage is also set to hit the big screen in this year's 'Left Behind' where he stars opposite Cassi Thomson and Chad Michael Murray and 'Tokarev' alongside Rachel Nichols.

Coldplay announce tour dates for 2014

Coldplay have announced six international shows in support of their upcoming album 'Ghost Stories'.
The 'Paradise' hitmakers will kick off their tour in Germany on April 25 and visit a number of low-key venues, compared to their stadium dates for their 'Mylo Xyloto' tour in 2012.
The band - made up of Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland and Will Champion - will also stop by at the Beacon Theatre in New York, Royce Hall in Los Angeles, Casino de Paris in Paris, Dome City Hall in Tokyo and a final date at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
In recent months, Coldplay have performed two small shows at the Ring O' Bells in Compton Martin, Somerset, and a headline slot at the iTunes Festival at South by Southwest in Texas in March.
Frontman Chris, 37, has seemingly spoken about his split with Gwyneth Paltrow after 11 years of marriage last month on the band's upcoming sixth record, which will be released on Monday, May 19.
On the track 'Another's Arms', Chris sings about infidelity, which is speculated to be the reason for his split with the 'Iron Man 3' actress.
He sings: "Late night watching TV, used to be you here beside me, your body on my body. When the pain just rips through me. Another's arms, another's arms."
Adele producer Paul Epworth has been working on the new record, along with Jon Hopkins, Rik Simpson and Dan Green.

Coldplay's tour dates are..

April 25 - E-Werk, Cologne, Germany
May 5 - Beacon Theatre, New York, USA
May 19 - Royce Hall, Los Angeles, USA
May 28 - Casino de Paris, Paris, France
June 12 - Dome City Hall, Tokyo, Japan
July 1 - Royal Albert Hall, London, UK

Tickets for the Cologne show will go on sale at 9am on Saturday, April 19 from eventim.de/coldplay, while ticket information for the remaining five shows will be emailed exclusively to subscribers to the Coldplay mailing list.

The Who to release new material for 50th anniversary

The Who are releasing new material to mark their 50th anniversary.
The legendary band are planning to record new tracks to coincide with their landmark achievement and their upcoming world tour, which stars in the UK this December before heading to North America in 2015.
Guitarist Pete Townshend told Billboard: "I'm trying to [look] through my 20,000 hours of complete and utter disorganized music [to find possible songs]. I'll be pulling some songs out of [his long-gestating project] 'Floss' to give to Roger [Daltrey] to see if we've got enough to make an album. It might be a big waste of time, but I'm hoping there will be an album."
Pete, singer Roger and bassist John Entwistle started performing together in 1961, but finally settled on the name The Who in 1964 when drummer Keith Moon joined the band.
Although surviving members Pete and Roger have embarked on several "final tours," starting in 1982, the guitarist feels "this is what we should be doing."
The rocker added: "I was ready for the 50th, but it happens when everything else is changing. I'll be 69 in May and all my friends are getting ill or dying. I knew it would happen. I will be happy if I give people something that makes fans happy. It takes some great planning and I hope it opens up other things that we can avail ourselves of."

AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young taking a break

AC/DC's Malcolm Young is "taking a break" from the band due to ill health.
The 'Whole Lotta Rosie' hitmakers have confirmed the 61-year-old rhythm guitarist is suffering from a "debilitating illness" but insist the Australian rock group will continue to record and play live, after speculation about their future.
A statement posted on their website reads: "After 40 years of life dedicated to AC/DC, guitarist and founding member Malcolm Young is taking a break from the band due to ill health.
"Malcolm would like to thank the group's die-hard legions of fans worldwide for their never-ending love and support.
"In light of this news, AC/DC asks that Malcolm and his family's privacy be respected during this time. The band will continue to make music."
The statement comes after singer Brian Johnson confirmed the band - also made up of Malcolm's brother Angus, bassist Cliff Williams and drummer Phil Rudd - will head into the studio next month to work on the follow-up to their 'Black Ice' album in 2008.
He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "We are definitely getting together in May in Vancouver. "We're going to pick up some guitars, have a plonk, and see if anybody has got any tunes or ideas. If anything happens, we'll record it."
Choirboys frontman Mark Gable, who has been close friends with the band for a number of years, also revealed Malcolm is "too sick" to play live anymore.
He said: "It's not just that he is unwell, it's that it is quite serious. It will constitute that he definitely won't be able to perform live. He will probably not be able to record."

Britian’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit bush fire site

Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid their respects to families affected by a bush fire in Australia as they visited the Blue Mountains today (17.04.14).
Prince William and his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, met with residents of the Blue Mountains and apologised for the difficulties they've had to overcome as they try to rebuild their homes following a firestorm last year which destroyed over 200 homes, including more than half of the houses on Buena Vista Road in Winmalee.
Eartha Odell, a resident affected by the blaze, told the Blue Mountains Gazette newspaper: "They [William and Catherine] were very sincere in trying to understand our grief and very kind and warm and approachable to the children."
The 47-year-old woman said the couple - who have 8-month-old song Prince George together - felt at ease speaking with families.
She added: "For them to come out all this way to say hello and say, 'I'm sorry this happened to you', ... It didn't seem like a duty to them."
Prior to meeting with the families, William, 31, and Catherine, 32, listened in respect as David Jones - who is district manager of the Blue Mountains rural fire service - told them of the disaster and explained how it had destroyed thousands of square metres of land.

EastEnders’ Lucy Beale’s murder to rival Broadchurch

EastEnders' Lucy Beale's murder plot will rival 'Broadchurch', according to Adam Woodyatt.
The soap star has revealed that his on-screen daughter's murder storyline is expected to be as nail-bitingly exciting as the mystery crime drama.
Adam said: "The executive producer [Dominic Treadwell-Collins] summed it up in one word which sold it to me, and that word was 'Broadchurch'. Hopefully we'll do it even better, because we've got longer to tell the story."
The 45-year-old actor plays Ian Beale and is the only remaining member of the original 'EastEnders' cast, but he's confessed his character will be forced to endure months of grief when his daughter Lucy's body is found dead, as it's been revealed her murderer won't be unmasked until the BBC One soap's 30th anniversary next February.
He explained: "What we've just seen is really just the tip of the iceberg.
"The grief continues - we've just filmed the funeral over the last couple of weeks and that was traumatic."
Lucy (Hetti Bywater) - who has been played by four different actresses - will meet her on-screen death tomorrow night (18.04.14), and Adam says he and his co-stars struggled to film the scenes.
He said: "It was hard. We couldn't read the scripts without crying, to start with. We couldn't get through a line run."

Sofia Vergara is a ‘tiger’

Sofia Vergara is a "tiger" in bed.
The 41-year-old actress admits she is quite aggressive in her sex life and hopes her fiancé, businessman Nick Loeb, appreciates the effort she makes.
She said: "I hope my boyfriend thinks I am like a tiger."
The 'Modern Family' star admitted she dresses to please guys and always makes an effort with her appearance.
She told the new issue of Women's Health magazine: "I feel the most sexy when I just wake up. But I feel the most sexy after I have showered, blow-dried my hair, and [put on] full make-up.
"I'm Latin, and in our culture, we dress to pick up guys, or for our boyfriends or husbands, rather than for other girls. I'll prefer to die than wear boyfriend jeans!
"It doesn't mean you have to be perfect or have [great] abs, but don't walk around the house with no bra and hanging t*ts."
Sofia also complained that people are too busy praising her breasts to appreciate her "great a*s".
She said: "I'll tell you something. I've always been known for my boobs, but it p***es me off, because I do also have a great a*s!

Chelsea Handler to land daytime show?

Chelsea Handler has been in talks to host a daytime show.
The 39-year-old presenter - who is to leave E! when her 'Chelsea Lately' contract ends - had sparked speculation she was to replace Craig Ferguson on 'The Late Show' on CBS after posting an Instagram picture of her holding papers branded by the network, but insiders insist she won't be taking on the 12.30am slot.
An official statement from CBS read: "There are no discussions with Chelsea Handler regarding the network's 12:30 late night broadcast."
Instead, sources told the New York Post newspaper that she met with executives to discuss the possibility of a syndicated daytime talk show, following in the footsteps of the likes of Kris Jenner, Katie Couric and Anderson Cooper.
However, it seems the outspoken star could have jeopardised the plan with her social media posting.
An executive told the newspaper: "Chelsea Handler is a pain in the butt."
Chelsea's manager Irving Azoff recently revealed his client is inundated with offers of work for when her contract ends in nine months time.
He said: "Chelsea intends to leave when her contract expires. She hired me to figure out her life after E! We have at least seven suitors and many ideas."
Chelsea - who is believed to make around $9 million a year from the show - has previously voiced her concerns about the E! network and described it as "a sad, sad place to live."

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop CEO quits

Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop chief executive officer (CEO) has quit.
Seb Bishop, a British entrepreneur, has resigned after the 41-year-old actress announced she was moving her Goop office from London to Los Angeles, despite previously appearing to be on board with her plans.
A source told The New York Post's page six column: "Seb was ready to move his wife Heidi and their children from London, and had even been looking at properties in Los Angeles, but then he abruptly quit."
It is believed Seb, who joined the blog in 2011, decided to leave the company after Gwyneth announced on the website last month she was "consciously uncoupling" from her husband of 10 years Chris Martin, 36.
The source explained: "There is speculation that he and Paltrow disagreed on the direction of Goop, partly that she used the website as a vehicle for her personal life, and the 'conscious uncoupling' announcement."
However, the blonde beauty's representative Stephen Huvane claims Seb, who was international CEO of AIDS-fighting charity RED prior to joining Goop, will still work for the company until a replacement can be found.
Stephen said: "Seb is still with Goop, but has decided not to relocate his family to Los Angeles. He will be transitioning out over time until a replacement is named."

Peaches Geldof was being lined up for Australia’s Next Top Model

Peaches Geldof was in talks for a role on 'Australia's Next Top Model'.
The late star - whose death is still being treated as "unexplained" after being found dead in her home in Wrotham, Kent, England, on April 7 - was being considered for a judging position on the modelling reality show in the weeks before her death.
Brian Walsh, Foxtel's director of television, confirmed to the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper: "Peaches was one of a number of names suggested but we took the decision that it was too soon to make any calls.
"The idea was not progressed beyond an initial stage."
Tragically, the 25-year-old aspiring presenter was expected to replace former judge Charlotte Dawson, who was also found dead in her Sydney home this February.
She would have sat alongside model Jennifer Hawkins, designer Alex Perry and male model Didier Cohen on the panel.
In an interview published after her death, Peaches had admitted she was gearing up for a new TV project abroad and was planning to bring her children Phaedra, 11-months, and Astala, 23 months, along for the duration of filming.
She said: "I can't say what it is yet, but I'll be there for three months. My children will come with me because, obviously, I wouldn't leave them for that long."
It was recently reported that the star's heartbroken husband Thomas Cohen hasn't returned to their home since her death last week.
The couple were married in September 2012 at church of St Mary Magdalene in Davington, Kent, where her late mother Paula Yates was buried in 2000. Peaches' funeral is also expected to take place there soon.

Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke rooting for Azealia Banks

Bloc Party's Kele Okereke wants to see Azealia Banks succeed.
The lead singer and guitarist for 'The Prayer' hitmakers has admitted that although the '212' rapper has alienated a lot of her fans by claiming she's desperate to leave her record label and starting arguments with other artists such as Lily Allen, he is still hoping she will turn it around and succeed in the music industry.
Writing for Noisey magazine, he said: "It seems like nobody is rooting for her. But I am.
"There is still something about this girl that I dig: the early Vogue culture references in her music, the dexterity of her wordplay and, most of all, her attitude."
Azealia - who won the best single prize at the Urban Music Awards in 2012 for her debut track - promised fans she would leak her first full album 'Broke With Expensive Taste' on April 15, however she has so far yet to do so.
Kele, 32, hopes that when the 22-year-old rapper's album is finally released, it will take the pressure off of her so that she can focus on more new material.
He said: "Azealia Banks is in her own lane right now, her music still sounds like nothing else.
"So if you are reading this babes: get this record out, make these summer shows the best they can be and then get your head down and start again from scratch.
"Don't lose your heart, you still have it in you."
