Toby Kebbell lied about ‘dentist appointment’ for audition

Toby Kebbell told his employers he had a dentist appointment when he needed time off to audition for 'Dawn of the Planet Apes'.
The 31-year-old star plays Koba in the forthcoming sci-fi film and he lied to get out of the work when he was starring in a three-part drama to make sure he was able to meet Andy Serkis who plays Caesar.
He told collider.com: "I was a massive fan of the first one. I was working in London, and I got an audition for it so I had to pretend I had an dentist appointment to come to the audition cos I was playing a lead on a three part drama. So I pretend I had a dentist appointment and I met Andy, I was very nervous, because he's awesome."
Although Kebbell doesn't know what made Serkis pick him he is thankful for the opportunity.
He added: "And we went to his place in London called Imaginarium, where we did a screen test. A kind of motion capture screen test. We put on a suit, and I did two scenes with Andy. Sort of short you know, basically, wasn't ... I have no class but for some reason, he thought I would be fun to work with. So yeah I was blessed."

Damon Albarn read Buddhism books

Damon Albarn read books on Buddhism when he was bullied at school.
The Blur frontman's family moved house from Leytonstone, east London, to rural Essex, south east England, when he was aged nine and after being enrolled into a new school he felt like he didn't fit in.
The 46-year-old star read literature by German poet and novelist, Hermann Hesse and "various books on Buddhism" as well as trying to find solace in the countryside where he would search "interesting trees where I could make little shrines", reports The Observer newspaper.
Damon insists his childhood inspired his latest album, 'Everyday Robots', which reflects how he got to where he is now.
Talking to The New Review, he added: "I definitely delved into that period in my childhood for the new album. I honestly think it's what set me up to be the person I am now. It's me saying 'This is where I come from and how I got to be who I am."

Jamie Bell: Evan Rachel Wood loves my accent

Jamie Bell says Evan Rachel Wood loves his accent.
The Durham-born star, who rose to fame aged 14 playing ballet-loving teen Billy Elliot, admits his wife was initially attracted to his English lilt and is a big fan of all things British.
He said: "Apparently she likes the accent. The food too, which is surprising. She likes a lot of the pickled things - well, she did when she was pregnant anyway. She'd been going to England in her own right long before she met me."
The couple, who wed in 2012, welcomed a son last July and have been taking it in turns to look after the baby while the other works because 'Thirteen' actress Evan has no plans to be a stay-at-home mum.
Jamie told the new UK issue of HELLO magazine: "There will never be a version of Evan Rachel Wood where's a stay-at-home mum. That's just not going to happen. We are both working actors and now that we are parents, we are both going to continue to be working actors and work it out."
The 28-year-old actor manages to maintain a normal life unlike many of his peers and is glad he doesn't often get recognised in public.
He added: "It's not too bad for me - I have friends who are much more publically known than I am, who, when I'm checking out groceries at the grocery store, I am literally read in what they did last night in the headlines of the papers. I don't have it anything near as bad.
"Okay, sometimes I'll go to Starbucks to get a coffee and someone will say, 'Hey, it's you', and I'll say, 'How's it going'. But that's no big deal. I have a great life, to be honest."

Rihanna is being sued by former bodyguard

Rihanna is being sued for allegedly making defamatory comments about her former bodyguard.
The 26-year-old singer has been hit with a lawsuit from Geoffrey Keating, from Dublin, who claims the popstar made "nauseatingly offensive" and false statements about him in an email sent to him and his wife last July.
He also claims the star used the same defamatory allegations via a telephone call to his sister.
Mr Keating, who worked for Rihanna on her 'Diamonds' tour between October 2012 and July 2013, claims the comments have tarnished his reputation and damaged the future of his business.
The former bodyguard is seeking damages against the brunette beauty and he also wants her to publish a correction of the alleged defamation.
His lawyer, Gerald Kean, was granted permission yesterday (28.04.14) to serve the singer with the legal papers at her home in New York City.
Mr Kean told TMZ.com: "We're taking this battle very seriously. We are satisfied that the Irish Courts will see justice at the end of the day."

Hailee Steinfeld: Taylor is an ‘amazing friend’

Hailee Steinfeld thinks Taylor Swift is an "amazing friend".
The 17-year-old actress has developed a close bond with the 24-year-old singer in recent years and the pair are often photographed out together, but the brunette beauty insists she prefers to keep their friendship out of the public eye.
Speaking in the May issue of Nylon magazine, she said: "She's an amazing friend. I always get the, 'Tell us something nobody knows [about Taylor] question.' And it's like, we both respect each other tremendously, but we choose to keep our friendship out of the public eye.
"She's a really great person and an inspiration to me and many others."
Despite being nominated for an Oscar award, the brunette beauty insists she's just a "regular teenager", but thinks her mother Cheri Steinfeld, who is also her manager, has helped her stay grounded after she was thrown into the adult world of Hollywood at such a young age.
She explained: "As strict as my mum is, I have so much freedom. Everything I do, she does with me and I couldn't imagine it any other way."

Beyoncé: Woman are pressured into perfection

Beyoncé believes there's too much pressure on women to look perfect.
The 32-year-old singer has released a behind-the-scenes look into the making of her 'Pretty Hurts' music video, which is based on the standards of 'beauty' set by society.
The video director Melina Matsoukas said: "The concept of the video is really a behind the scenes look into society's take on beauty and how it doesn't bring you happiness and it doesn't move you forward in life. It's really finding yourself that brings you happiness."
The video demonstrates the extreme lengths women go to into order to fit in, and in one scene Beyoncé pretends she's preparing for cosmetic surgery and Botox.
She explained: "I'm pretending to get a face-lift and Botox. It represents all the things that women go through to keep up with the pressure that society puts on us. Some of the things that young women go through, it's just really heartbreaking for me."
The dramatic video was inspired by a photograph of Beyoncé as a child, standing in front of a fireplace, surrounded by trophies and awards she had won.
She said: "When you get this trophy and you're looking at it. Is it worth it?"
The video ends with the stunning singer smashing up her trophy display and admitting that beauty should come from within and the most important thing is happiness.
She concludes: "That song represents finding that one thing in the world that makes you really happy."

Cameron Diaz to babysit Drew Barrymore’s kids

Cameron Diaz can't wait to babysit Drew Barrymore's daughters.
The 'Other Woman' star is planning to visit the 39-year-old actress and her children Olive, 19 months, and one-week-old Frankie, later this week, but she insists she'll soon be looking after the youngsters while Drew and her husband Will Kopelman enjoy a nice child-free night out.
Speaking to PEOPLE.com, Cameron said: "I haven't seen her [Frankie] yet but I'm going to this weekend. [Drew] is doing wonderful[ly]. Of course [I'll babysit], I'm an auntie!"
However, Drew recently admitted that she and Will prefer to care for their children without babysitters as they like to spend the weekends together as a family.
She said prior to Frankie's birth: "I am loving being a mum ... We spend every weekend together. We don't have a babysitter. It's just us. I can't wait to see how that's going to work out with the second one!"
Although, the blonde beauty may make an exception for her friend Cameron as they spent a lot of time together throughout her pregnancy at cookery lessons.
Drew said recently: "I really love cooking, it makes me so happy. But I'm terrible at it. None of it is effortless or sexy or even tastes that good for that matter, but I'm really working on it. I might travel somewhere to do it, and bring the family. I love cooking for Olive now, but I used to be Mrs Takeout.
"I've just never learned to cook in my life. Cameron's a great cook, and always has been. I'm just trying to catch up to that."

Robbie Williams to become dad again

Robbie Williams is to become a father again.
The 40-year-old singer took to his Twitter account tonight (28.04.14) to announce that he and his wife Ayda Field are expecting their second child together and they're looking forward to their 19-month-old daughter Theodora 'Teddy' Rose having a sibling.
He tweeted: "Ayda and I are delighted to announce that Theodora Rose Williams is going to be a big sister. RW xxx (sic)".
The former Take That star, who married Ayda in 2010, was inundated with congratulatory messages from his fans after sharing the happy news.
Meanwhile, Robbie admitted in 2012 he was initially worried about becoming a father for the first time because he didn't know if he could "step up".
He said at the time: "I've been a very selfish person for a long time and I've indulged myself in every way possible.
"Then all of a sudden a person comes into the world that I've got to look after and be responsible for. I was terrified that I wasn't going to be able to step up and be the father I want to be to her."
However, he soon settled in to fatherhood and admitted last year he couldn't wait to expand his family.
He said: "My little girl is wonderful. Little Teddy. We are going to do more of them because they are amazing."

Evan Rachel Wood fancies Milla Jovovich

Evan Rachel Wood has a crush on Milla Jovovich.
The 26-year-old actress, who came out as bisexual in 2011, admits her husband Jamie Bell, 28, is well aware that she fancies the 38-year-old beauty.
During a Twitter interview on Sunday (27.04.14), Evan, who will sing with Milla for the LA Gay & Lesbian Centre on May 10, said: "My husband is well aware of the crush I have on Milla. I mean who doesn't?! (sic)."
Meanwhile, Evan - who has a nine-month-old son with Jamie - admitted she was scared about telling her parents about her sexuality, but was surprised by their reaction.
She said previously: "It's become more socially acceptable. With me, the reason why I came out is because I felt like now was the time to no longer be silent about it. I wanted to wait for the right time and wait to have enough years under my belt where people knew that it wasn't a phase or anything and I wasn't doing it for attention; this is a part of who I am, and I'm old enough to really know who I am by now.
"And I had to wait until I told my family, too, which I was really nervous about! And I have a really chill, understanding family, too."
Evan and Jamie first dated in 2005 but split up in 2008, before rekindling their romance in 2011.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner glad they’re not friends with Selena Gomez

Kendall and Kylie Jenner are reportedly glad they're no longer friends with Selena Gomez.
The 21-year-old singer reportedly cut ties with the sisters after the Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival earlier this month because she thinks they're a "toxic distraction" and she thinks they're encouraging her to be a party girl.
However, sources close to the reality TV stars claim Selena, who completed a three-week stint in rehab in January, is the one who is out of control, not them.
An insider told TMZ.com: "Selena has it twisted - not only do Kendall and Kylie eschew drugs and alcohol ... they believe Selena's the real drama-obsessed party girl. After all, she's the one who's been to rehab."
The source added that Kendall, 18, and Kylie, 16, "feel like they're better off without her".
The 'Come & Get It' hitmaker had formed a close bond with the famous sisters in recent months, but she made it clear their friendship was no more when she unfollowed them on her Instagram account last week.
Not only is Selena convinced the sisters are tarnishing her career, she also holds at grudge against them because Kylie was reportedly getting too close to her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, whom she has dated on/off for three years, at the music festival in California.
A source said previously: "Selena is convinced something has gone on between Justin and Kylie."

Josh Dallas reads to baby bump

Josh Dallas reads to Ginnifer Goodwin's baby bump.
The 32-year-old actor and his wife are to welcome their first child into the world in coming weeks, and the hunky star admits he's been practising his story-telling techniques.
He said: "There was one stack of books, and I read all five of them and this one ['The Snatchabook', by Helen and Thomas Docherty] got a kick on the belly."
Although the couple are yet to announced the gender of the baby, Josh admits they've already picked out a name.
He told E! News: "We've got the name."
Meanwhile, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at sunset in Los Angeles in front of just 30 family members and friends earlier this month.
An insider said at the time: "Ginnifer and Josh seemed very relaxed and happy. They were surrounded by their nearest and dearest friends and kept it very intimate and simple."
Josh, who proposed to Ginnifer in October after more than a year of dating, admitted he was instantly attracted to the brunette beauty when he first laid eyes on her.
He said previously: "It hit me like a blinding light. I thought, 'I'm in trouble now.' "

Tori Spelling hospitalised for ulcer and migraines?

Tori Spelling was hospitalised for an ulcer and migraines.
The 'True Tori' star spent at least six days at a medical facility in Los Angeles last week after reportedly failing to keep any food down and suffering from severe headaches.
A source told RadarOnline.com: "Tori's head hurt so much, she couldn't have any light in her bedroom and she couldn't keep any food down from the ulcer. She was in a great deal of pain and was very scared."
Friends believe Tori's health scare stems from extreme stress brought on by her husband Dean McDermott's confession to infidelity late-last year.
The source explained: "She was just so run-down and ragged from the affair fallout."
However, despite airing her marital breakdown on her lifetime reality show, the 40-year-old actress asked for the cameras to stop rolling during her hospital stint.
The source added: "For Tori, nothing is off-limits to the cameras. But production was not allowed to follow Tori into the hospital. She needed peace and quiet with no pressure."
Tori - who has children Liam, seven, Stella, five, Hattie, two, and Finn, 20 months, with Dean - was discharged from an undisclosed clinic on Saturday (26.04.14), but kept her pink hospital band on her wrist as she headed home.
It is believed Dean was by Tori's side throughout the duration of her stay in hospital.
A source said previously: "Dean would arrive by 10am and didn't leave until 8 most nights. He seemed very stressed out and worried."
