The 32-year-old actor and his wife are to welcome their first child into the world in coming weeks, and the hunky star admits he’s been practising his story-telling techniques.
He said: "There was one stack of books, and I read all five of them and this one [‘The Snatchabook’, by Helen and Thomas Docherty] got a kick on the belly."
Although the couple are yet to announced the gender of the baby, Josh admits they’ve already picked out a name.
He told E! News: "We’ve got the name."
Meanwhile, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at sunset in Los Angeles in front of just 30 family members and friends earlier this month.
An insider said at the time: "Ginnifer and Josh seemed very relaxed and happy. They were surrounded by their nearest and dearest friends and kept it very intimate and simple."
Josh, who proposed to Ginnifer in October after more than a year of dating, admitted he was instantly attracted to the brunette beauty when he first laid eyes on her.
He said previously: "It hit me like a blinding light. I thought, ‘I’m in trouble now.’ "
