LeAnn Rimes had a hangnail removed earlier this week.
The 31-year-old singer took to Twitter on Monday morning (28.04.14) to announce that she was having a piece of torn skin cut out of her finger by her dermatologist.
She tweeted: "Seriously painful hang nail. About to have surgery at the derm. This is not going be very enjoyable!! (sic)."
After the procedure, the 'Can't Fight the Moonlight' hitmaker wasted no time sharing with her fans how painful the surgery was and how bad the numbing treatment was.
She explained: "Omg, that hurt! Numbing shots on your fingers are no bueno! at least I don't feel any pain right now or my hand for that matter (sic)".
However, the blonde beauty, who is married to Eddie Cibrian, appeared to be in better spirits later on in the day as she threw herself back into work and announced that she was preparing to record a christmas track.
She wrote: "Worked out arrangements 4 Xmas songs I'm recording tmrw w/ @darrellbrown SOOO excited about what we're creating for my Xmas project (sic)".

Selena Gomez reportedly "flipped out" after finding text messages from Kylie Jenner on Justin Bieber's phone.
The 21-year-old singer, who has had an on/off relationship with Justin for three years, ended her friendship with the reality TV star earlier this month after she found out she'd been texting the 'Baby' hitmaker and sending him photos.
A source told RadarOnline.com: "Selena flipped out and there was a huge fight between the girls. She now wants nothing to do with Kylie or [her sister] Kendall."
However, it's not just the sisters that have had the cold shoulder from Selena - who was seen cuddling Justin at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival earlier this month - as she's also dumped the 20-year-old singer.
The source explained: "Selena was also furious at Justin. They're not together right now."
Meanwhile, the 'Come & Get It' hitmaker has recently turned back to her old friends because she wants to focus on her career and doesn't want to be known as a party girl.
The 'Spring Breakers' actress, who spent three weeks in rehab in January, has also been attending church regularly in the hope that it'll help her deal with her depression.
A source said previously: "Selena is trying to change her ways by going to church and more so to avoid going to rehab. She feels like she has a spiritual gap and that maybe that's why she is struggling.
"She learned about the spiritual aspect in rehab when they talked about the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous."

Ariana Grande wants to date a "bad boy".
The 20-year-old singer admits she's instantly attracted to a guy that has artwork etched on his body and has a little bit of a naughty streak in his personality.
She explained to E! News: "[I like a guy with] lots of tattoos ... I don't really have a type, type. But I love guys that can make me laugh. I love funny guys, I love a bad boy. I tried the good boy thing for a minute and I was like, 'No, Oh my gosh, that won't work'."
However, the brunette beauty previously admitted that she was determined to stay away from unhealthy relationships after she lost her spark while dating a controlling guy.

Bethenny Frankel has refused to pay her ex-husband Jason Hoppy $10 million in order to settle their divorce.
The TV personality has turned down the opportunity to end her bitter legal battle, which has been going on 15 months, by paying out the lump sum to her former lover.
A source told RadarOnline.com: "Jason is willing to take a $10 million settlement in the divorce from Bethenny."
The 43-year-old former host, who is believed to be worth between $25 million to $50 million, sold her Skinnygirl Cocktails company in 2011 for a reported $100 million and Jason claims he's entitled to some of the money as he helped her build up the company in the first place.
The source explained: "[Jason] feels entitled to that large amount because he helped her to launch Skinnygirl. She sought his advice and counsel on the cocktail line from the beginning and up until the sale."
As well as fighting over the money that was made during their two-year-old marriage, the couple are also battling it out for custody of their three-year-old daughter Bryn.
It is believed Jason is now happy with joint custody, while Bethenny is pushing for full custody with the sales executive being allowed visitation.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, the former reality TV star was ordered to pay her ex-spouse's legal fees of $100,000, but it is believed she will be reimbursed once they reach a settlement.
