Britain's Prince Charles toured a caravan park yesterday (28.04.14).
The prince - who is known as The Duke of Rothesay in Scotland - spoke with management and visitors at the revamped Ballater Caravan Park in Aberdeenshire, which has been taken over from the local authority by a charitable organisation.
Among the people Charles met was 100-year-old Alexander Alexander - who is nicknamed double Sandy - who was there when the park first opened in the 1950s.
Mr. Alexander - who joined the prince in planting a tree outside the site's new office - said: "I've seen so many changes here since I helped clear the site in the 50s. It was just me and my boss at the time, then before you know it, it's expanding. It's so great for the village."
Charles also toured caravans owned by some holidaymakers, who were delighted to welcome him into the static homes.
Norma Burnett, 70, said: "He was very friendly and took an interest in the place. It was nice to have him visit."
Her husband Bob, 72, joked: "The caravan's never been so clean."
A family from New Zealand also met with Charles and presented him with a flag from their country and a small toy kiwi.
Dave Monk - who has been working his way around the world with wife Rachel and their sons Dylan, seven, and Lewis, five - said: "Kate and William [The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge] just visited our home town and now we've got the future king of New Zealand here too. It's been great, and the kids have been excited."
The last letter written by Britain's Princess Diana has sold for almost £3,000.
The hand-signed note - which was penned just three weeks before her death in a Paris car accident in August 1997 - was sold at auction for £2,796 yesterday (28.04.14), at Fellows Auctions in Birmingham, England.
Mark Huddleston, head of antiques at Fellows, described it as an important letter in modern history.
He said: "The letter is moving not only because of its heartfelt message but also because it would have been the last ever written by her."
The letter was typed on cream Kensington Palace headed paper and set to humanitarian campaigner Dilys Cheetham shortly after Diana had returned from a three-day visit to Bosnia as part of her anti-landmine campaigning.
In it she wrote: "I could not help but be deeply moved by the experience which hardened my resolve to ensure the world does not forget that those who have been so needlessly maimed by these terrible weapons will need care and support for many years to come."
Ms. Cheetham - who died in 2006 - sold the letter to Jason Fraser in a 1999 charity auction to raise money for landmine victims.
The photographer then sold the note to a private collector in 2007, who then put it up for auction.
Eddie Redmayne is due to star in sex-change drama 'The Danish Girl'.
The actor will join forces with his 'Les Miserables' director Tom Hooper for the first time since they worked on the 2012 musical blockbuster.
The movie's screenplay, adapted by Lucinda Coxon, is based on David Ebershoff's 2001 book of the same name about the real-life love story of Danish painters Einar Wegener and his wife Gerda.
Wegener became one of the first men to have a sex change, officially becoming Lili Elbe in 1930, and the lead role will no doubt be a challenging one for Redmayne.
Hooper told The Hollywood Reporter: " 'The Danish Girl' is an extraordinary love story and a story about finding your true self. I first read Lucinda's script when I was making 'The King's Speech' and I was so moved by this true story. I have wanted to make the film ever since."
Hooper will be joined in his production duties by Pretty Pictures' Gail Mutrux, Anne Harrison and Linda Reisman, as well as Working Title's Erik Fellner and Tim Bevan.
The director, who previously won a Best Picture Oscar for 'The King's Speech', has yet to announce a follow up to 'Les Miserables', so this is likely to be his next project.
The film has had several failed attempts at adaptation, with Nicole Kidman,Charlize Theron, Gwyneth Paltrow and Rachel Weisz all previously considered for a lead role.
Tomas Alfredson will direct 'The Snowman.'
The 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' filmmaker will helm the film adaptation of Scandinavian author Jo Nesbo's crime thriller series alongside Oscar-winning director, Martin Scorsese, who will executive produce, reports Variety.com.
Scorsese was previously reported to be circling the director role but has had a busy schedule, with projects including as 'The Wolf of Wall Street', starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Magot Robbie, and the forthcoming Frank Sinatra biopic.
Niclas Salomonsson, Liza Chasin, and Amelia Granger will also executive produce.
Afredson will pen the script with the help of Soren Sveistrup, to tell the story of a "loose cannon" detective Harry Hole.
Hole is tasked with investigating the disappearance of a string of women who mysteriously went missing on the first day of snowfall, with some of the only clues including one whose pink scarf is tied around an "ominous-looking snowman".
As his investigation deepens, he soon becomes a pawn in an increasingly terrifying game whose rules are devised by the killer.
Julie Walters will star in new Channel 4 drama, 'Indian Summers'.
The 'Harry Potter' actress has been cast as expat society member Cynthia in the 10-part series about the last days of British colonial rule in 1932, according to RadioTimes.com.
Channel 4 said in a statement: "At the heart of the story lie the implications and ramifications of the tangled web of passions, rivalries and clashes that define the lives of those brought together in this summer which will change everything."
The drama is set against the "sweeping grandeur of the Himalayas and tea plantations of Northern India", and will tell the story from both the Westerners point of view and the local people's.
Julie will be joined by Craig Parkinson, last seen as in BBC Two's 'Line of Duty', who is going to play the leader of a missionary school.
Meanwhile, Henry Lloyd-Hughes will play "coolly ambitious" Ralph Whelan, the Private Secretary to the Viceroy of India, and 'The Borgias' actress Jemima West stars as his sister Alice, who falls for the Junior Clerk in her brother's office, Aafrin (Nikesh Patel).
Mr Selfridge's Alexander Cobb has also been cast as Ian McLeod, a young and naïve Scottish tea plantation heir.
The series, created and written by Paul Rutman, is due to start filming this summer for a 2015 air date.
EastEnders' Lauren Branning will find a "crucial clue" in Lucy Beale's murder investigation next week.
The young Walford resident, who set up a letting agency with Lucy before her tragic death earlier this month, will come across an email from a mysterious client sent to her on the day of her pal's death requesting a meeting.
Lauren begins to wonder if Lucy - played by Hetti Bywater - met the client in her place, resulting in the blonde beauty's death.
Lauren actress Jacqueline Jossa said: "She realises she might have found a crucial clue about Lucy's death. Her first thought is, 'It was meant for me. It was addressed to me, so why did Lucy go and meet them?' "
Lauren sets up a meeting with the client to confront them with her suspicions as she continues to struggle with Lucy's demise.
Jacqueline told Digital Spy: "She feels like she owes it to Lucy to find out. No one else is trying to do anything about it. Lauren goes to the police, but they don't seem to take any notice and say they already know about it. But Lauren has an instinct feeling that it has got something to do with what happened - she might know the person and she might be able to help."
Michelle Keegan wants to be a Bond girl.
The 'Coronation Street' beauty says she's hoping to "do something about" landing herself a job as James Bond's sexy love interest in the future now she has quit her long-running role as Tina McIntyre.
Commenting on co-star Alan Halsall's claims she would be a great fit for the role, Michelle said: "Alan, ring the producer of 'Bond' and get me in there. Let's do something about it! Alan loves Bond and he sees it; I can't say I see it but I'll take that."
The 26-year-old brunette is set to leave the cobbles next month in a tragic death scene, which sees Tina murdered by a mystery killer, and it seems she is already thinking about a move to the United States to launch her Hollywood film career.
She told Britain's OK! magazine: "If my agent said it's a good idea for me to go then I would. Having said that, I would love to go and live there for a few months."
Michelle also hinted a move to Los Angeles with fiancée Mark Wright, 27, could be on the cards after they tie the knot next year, as the former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star already has work contacts there.
She added: "[Mark's] got a manager there, so he'd probably come with me. I don't know what's going to happen in the future with work - that's what I love about my life the minute."
Sam Faiers and Joey Essex are reportedly moving in together.
The former 'The Only Way is Essex' couple, who reunited earlier this year following Sam's medical ordeal after being diagnosed with Crohn's disease, are looking for a luxury pad in Essex and have set a £1 million budget for their new home.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Sam and Joey were originally taking things nice and slowly, but because they're spending so much time at home together now, they don't really see any point in waiting around.
"They're looking at some huge pads in Essex, as they see it as potentially being a family home in the future.
"They're looking around the £1 million mark."
Sam, 23, quit her role on 'TOWIE' last month in order to spend more time with Joey, 23, away from the cameras and deal with her recovery from Crohn's disease, which resulted in her losing a significant amount of weight and being rushed to hospital while in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house in January.
Joey's former fling Amy Willerton, who got close to the reality star while in the 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' jungle last year, recently said she is not at all surprised the tan-loving Essex natives have reunited.
She told BANG Showbiz: "Oh my gosh, I'm not surprised at all. It was always going to happen."
Zac Efron is "not investing" in the dating market.
The 26-year-old hunk - who was recently rumoured to be dating 'Neighbours' co-star Halston Sage - has played coy about his relationship status, claiming he isn't actively looking for a girlfriend.
Quizzed if he's off the market now, Zac quipped: "I don't know, I'm not really sure I'm in the market ... I'm not investing. My money's out!"
The hunky star, whose previous romances include 'High School Musical' co-star Vanessa Hudgens and Lily Collins, is thought to have got close to Halston, 20, while they were filming the raunchy new comedy last year.
The stars were spotted looking cosy as they took in a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game earlier this month.
Zac also opened up about his sobriety - after seeking treatment twice last year -exclaiming that he feels "great" and is excited to further his acting career.
He told ITV's 'Good Morning Britain': "[I'm] than ever now. I'm just super excited about the future. This has been a long time coming. When I was a kid, I imagined doing this, but I never thought I'd have a chance. So I'm pinching myself that I'm still around."
In 'Neighbours', Zac plays a college fraternity leader, whose hard-partying ways annoy his next door neighbours, but the star admits the party scenes were less fun than they appear.
He explained: "It was chaos. It was not fun to be on set for a party that goes on that long. We were falling asleep in corners with rave music blasting."
