Simon Cowell’s dressing room is ‘off limits’

Simon Cowell's 'Britain's Got Talent' dressing room is "off limits".
Stephen Mulhern has revealed after eight years working alongside the media mogul, he has "never" been allowed to set foot inside, although the other judges are more sociable.
He told The Sun newspaper's TV Magazine: "In eight years doing the show, I have never been in Simon's dressing room. It's off limits.
"During the auditions, we all stay in the same hotel and have a drink at the bar at the end of a long day, but Simon has never come along.
"I live five minutes away from [hosts] Ant and Dec though, so I see them quite a lot socially. And I have never seen anyone take as long to get ready for anything as Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon do for this show. Oh. My. God!"
The 'Britain's Got More Talent' presenter also gets on with David Walliams, although their friendship meant they almost took a joke "too far" when they were teasing Simon.
He revealed: "I actually enjoy winding him up, but he can be quite scary ... I had a very awkward moment with him just before his son Eric was born ... I thought it would be good to give him one of those virtual babies that cries.
"David thought it was hilarious and said: 'Simon, let me show you how to burp a baby, come here Stephen'. I had to sit on David's knee while he rubbed my back and fed me from a water bottle.
"It was then I realised the joke had gone too far. I said: 'I think we should probably leave,' and Simon just went: 'Yes, I think you should.' "

Simon Cowell wants a daughter, says Lauren Silverman

Simon Cowell would love a daughter, according to Lauren Silverman.
The couple - who welcomed their first son Eric into the world in February - are keen to have another child and the media mogul's girlfriend revealed he would like to have a baby girl.
Speaking at the launch of the London Cabaret Club, she told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "We'll definitely have more children ... I would like one more, I think it will be a girl. Simon wants a girl very badly."
The US socialite feared she couldn't have children after the birth of her son Adam, eight, with ex-husband Andrew Silverman, and she described Eric as a "blessing".
She added: "I was never able to have a child for a long time, it's the biggest blessing.
"With Simon I'm the happiest I've ever been. He's an amazing dad, he does all the nappies, very hands-on. I love him."
Meanwhile, Lauren - who is splitting her time between New York and London - revealed her two sons met lately and her eldest "is so in love" with the new arrival.
She said: "My older son is so in love with the baby, it's been fantastic."

Miley Cyrus and Kate Moss enjoy raunchy night out

Miley Cyrus and Kate Moss enjoyed a raunchy night out in London.
The 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker is currently on tour in the UK, and she partied all night with the supermodel at Madame JoJo's in Soho, which was "decorated especially" for their guests.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "The club was decorated especially for Miley with naughtily shaped sofas, glitter bombs, dress-up box with wigs, tassels and X-rated toys.
"She and Kate were inseparable. Things kicked off when Miley's dancers got up on stage just in knickers and boob tassels."
The night got even racier when the two stars joined the dancers, with the controversial singer even "spanking" Kate.
The source added: "At one point, Mossy had her head in a dancer's boobs while Miley spanked her from the back."
The twerking star seems to be on the mend after falling ill recently, and had even insisted she was going to stay sober on the tour.
She previously claimed: "I'm probably the only one on this tour who doesn't drink or smoke before a show, as I take this really seriously.
"It's almost like being an athlete being up here, because if someone was f**ked up, they definitely couldn't do my show."

Lindsay Lohan loves shopping with friends

Lindsay Lohan loves "dressing up" with her friends.
The troubled actress is keeping herself busy now she is sober, and friend Chloe Green revealed she has turned to shopping with friends as a hobby instead of drinking.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the Topshop heiress said: "Lindsay is doing really well.
"I met her briefly in New York and have seen her a few times in London and we've been getting on brilliant.
"Lindsay has cleaned up her act a lot. I'm not a big drinker, so when she is with me we do more of the shopping. We go trough her whole wardrobe. She likes putting people together and dressing up."
While Lindsay is trying to clean herself up, her past reputation is making it difficult to find people to finance her movie 'Inconceivable' because of her "diva behaviour".
An insider recently claimed: "There is currently no date for filming to begin on Lindsay's 'Inconceivable' ... producers are having trouble getting money for the project.
"There is always the problem of insuring Lindsay for movies. Her diva behaviour, not showing up on time, or at times, Lindsay doesn't even arrive at all. It's very likely this movie will never get made.
"The only reason 'Inconceivable' was pitched at Sundance was an attempt to garner interest and create buzz about the project. It didn't. Lindsay is currently in Europe attempting raise money for the project, but isn't having any luck."

Simon Cowell rejects namesake on Britain’s Got Talent

Simon Cowell had to judge his namesake on 'Britain's Got Talent'.
The media mogul came face-to-face with a singer who shares his famous moniker, although the Geordie hopeful failed to impress the judges with his audition.
The star told him: "You've no idea how much I wanted this to be great so I could say at the end of the show: 'The winner of 'Britain's Got Talent' is Simon Cowell'.
"I mean, I live for that moment. I never thought I'd say this but, SImon Cowell, it's a No."
The unlucky contestant admitted sharing his name with the talent show boss has made life tough at times, particularly when people think he's impersonating the new father.
He said: "I was pulled over by the police because I had a broken light.
"It was a Saturday with 'The X Factor' was on. I didn't have any ID on me so giving the name Simon Cowell to the police, well, you might as well say anything.
"I was at the side of the road for two hours because they were trying to contact my family to verify who I was. I thought I was going to be arrested."

Molly Smitten-Downes says Eurovision’s bearded lady is ‘competition’

Molly Smitten-Downes is worried she could lose the Eurovision Song Contest to a bearded lady.
The singer is representing the UK in the annual competition, but she is concerned about coming up against Austrian drag act Conchita Wurst - real name Tom Neuwirth - because of the "novelty".
She told The Sun newspaper: "Conchita is a brilliant singer and getting a love of love from everywhere. She definitely competition for me.
"I was so surprised when I heard there was a bearded lady in the contest, I was like, 'Whaaat?' But she is so attractive. She dersses incredibly.
"You see her from behind and then she turns around and she has a beard. It is a bit of a shock ... I would like to think Eurovision is just about the song, but there is the whole novelty thing here."
Meanwhile Molly - whose song 'Children of the Universe' will be performed last - is hoping she can do her best and let the voting take care of the rest.
She added: "It is great to go last, but anxiety is going to go through the roof by the time I go on ... The public will go with whatever entertains them the most.
"I hope the best song wins. The vibe for me over here has been really positive. Everyone is excited about my performance and there is a lot of expectation.
"My biggest concern is making sure I deliver it. There is nothing I can do about anything else."

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West planning wedding ‘on their own’

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have planned their wedding "all on their own".
The reality TV star's mother Kris Jenner admitted she has taken a step back from her daughter's life to let her get on with it - and she hasn't even seen the wedding dress.
Speaking to E! News, she said: "Kim and Kanye have done this all on their own and they've had the best time planning it and I know nothing ... I have not seen her wedding dress, I don't know how she looks in it.
"I'll see it for the first time when she puts it on at her wedding."
It is a change of pace for Kris, who is a self-confessed "control freak" and admitted she has had to learn to "sit back and relax" while her daughter takes care of the wedding plans.
She admitted: "I'm really excited. I've never been able to just go some place and relax and enjoy the ride and let everybody else worry about everything because I'm such a control freak.
"So this has been a little bit of a lesson. It's a bit hard for me to let go and it's an exercise of patience and I'm sorta a control freak so to sit back and relax...this isn't easy for me either!
"I'm going into this with a great deal of excitement. I was a little bit curious at first and now I'm just like OK, just let it go, breathe and enjoy."

Chris Martin went for dinner with Alexa Chung?

Chris Martin went on a date with Alexa Chung.
The Coldplay singer - who split from his wife Gwyneth Paltrow last month after 10 years of marriage - is said to have gone out for a meal with the model in New York.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Alexa and Chris did see each other in NYC, briefly.
"Friends think sit's definitely developing into a relationship. But Alexa's a cool girl. She's not going to make herself look stupid.
"They like each other and have a lot in common but life's a bit tricky for Chris at the moment."
It was recently reported the 'Viva la Vida' hitmaker has been "angry" at how his breakup unfolded so publicly, and has reconsidered whether to ever get married again.
An insider previously said: "It's a tough time for Chris and he absolutely hates having his dirty linen washed in public.
"He's a very private person. Chris isn't comfortable talking about it, feels like he's let himself down and is also angry with the way the split unfolded."

Katie Price ‘oblivious’ to Kieran Hayler and Jane Pountney’s flirting

Katie Price was oblivious to Kieran Hayler and Jane Pountney's flirting.
The former glamour model - who recently discovered her husband was having a "full blown sexual affair" with her married best friend - didn't pick up on the spark between the pair, according to a house guest.
Jemma Henley - who spent four months at their home - told The Sun newspaper: "To get attention she would laugh at Kieran's jokes and stroke his arm - you could cut the sexual tension with a knife.
"There were looks that went unseen by Katie - but I didn't miss them. How she didn't see this coming is beyond me. Jane was always giggly around Kieran and she didn't try to hide it.
"But if there is one person Katie trusted it's Jane - she could do no wrong in her eyes. Maybe she left them alone one too many times. Jane was once me she liked his muscles."
Jemma explained how Katie and Jane were "like sisters", but thinks the star's bridesmaid was influenced by "jealousy".
She said: "There were like sisters. If there is one person Katie would die for it's Jane. I really feel for Katie in all this.
"These are the two people closest to her. This is the ultimate betrayal ... Jane has lived in Katie's shadow for 12 years - that's a long time to play second fiddle.
"She was jealous and that has led to her bedding Kieran."

Manic Street Preachers will keep going

Manic Street Preachers will keep performing until they are in "wheelchairs".
The Welsh trio - who formed in 1989 - don't think any younger bands have emerged who can "replace" them so they can't ever see themselves retiring.
Bassist Nicky Wire said: "I think the reason we're still around is because there's never been anyone to f***ing replace us - no one to make us extinct...
"I think it's full-on, blasting rock 'n' roll from now on, until we literally have wheelchairs."
The 'Motorcycle Emptiness' group - who release new album 'Futurology' on July 7 - also admitted they occasionally felt "awkward" when promoting last year's largely-acoustic 'Rewind the Film'.
Frontman James Dean Bradfield said: "It pushed us to be delicate and intimate and earnest and all those things we'd never really been.
"It didn't come naturally, it was really awkward at times."
The band - which also includes drummer Sean Moore - say that, with 'Let's Go To War', one of the tracks on 'Futurology', they wanted to create another "f***ing angry" song.
Nicky told NME magazine: "'Let's Go To War' has implications of the crisis of the working classes in it, but it's also referencing us as a band. Let's have one last f***ing angry song, like 'The Masses Against the Classes' or 'You Love Us' that references our own desire to lay waste."

Carey Mulligan: Theatre role is ‘brilliant’

Carey Mulligan returned to theatre because of the lack of brilliant female roles in film.
The 28-year-old actress is returning to London's West End after a seven-year hiatus to star alongside Bill Nighy in a revival of playwright David Hare's 'Skylight' and she admits it's because she couldn't pass up the chance to take on the lead.
She said: "There are so few brilliantly written female characters out there and she's such a great opportunity."
Since her last theatre appearance in 'The Seagull' in 2007, the 'Inside Llewyn Davis' actress has won numerous awards for her roles in films such as 'An Education' and 'Never Let Me Go', but she's confessed the storyline of 'Skylight' persuaded her to return to the stage.
She explained: "I was drawn to the intimacy of it, and how it was so focused on one conversation and how two people who have history both see the same event.
"The challenge of filling that stage for one and a half hours, going head to head with one actor and of having to find new experiences with the same material night after night and figure out more stuff about it. It's very exciting."
However, as Mulligan has also been busy working on her new film 'Suffragette' alongside Meryl Streep, she's confessed she hasn't had time to stress over her return to the stage.
She added to Britain's Vogue magazine: "I've been so wrapped up in the film I haven't really thought about 'Skylight', which is probably a good thing because I haven't been worrying about it."

Kate Upton: Female fans proved fame

Kate Upton knew she'd become a megastar when she gained female fans.
The Sports Illustrated model has become a household name following cover shoots for the magazine and a role in recently-released comedy 'The Other Woman' and she admits she knew she'd really made it when she started to gained female followers as well as male ones.
When asked to pinpoint the exact moment she became a megastar, she said: "I think it was kind of how everything was placed at once, in a weird way.
"I had Sports Illustrated and that next year I worked with Vogue and it was really just the placement of things. One year I had a lot of male followers, and the next, women followers and fans. I didn't have a say in it - that was just how it went."
The 21-year-old star faced disapproval from figures within the fashion industry for being "too curvy", but admits now that she's overcome the criticism she feels at home in her job.
She told Britain's Vogue magazine: "Once you're in the fashion crowd, it's almost like a family. They're so loyal and so supportive, and I talk to most of those people on a daily basis."
