Keith Urban misses Nicole Kidman

Keith Urban was "heartbroken" not to support Nicole Kidman at the Cannes Film Festival.
The country singer admitted on last night's (14.05.14) episode of 'American Idol' he was missing his spouse, who is in France promoting her new movie 'Grace of Monaco', so insisted on having a framed photograph of her on the judge's table.
He said: "My wife is at the Cannes Film Festival tonight and it's heartbreaking I can't be there. This is her on the red carpet as of tonight, so I'm going to pretend she's here and that I'm there all at the same time. It's the one night I couldn't be there."
The 46-year-old star - who has children Sunday, five, and Faith, three, with Nicole - also apologised for a raunchy joke he made when asked by host Ryan Seacrest who his wife was wearing.
He replied: "I don't know. Unfortunately, not me, but I don't know who that is. Did I just say that? That is my inside voice, I'm sorry."
Meanwhile, Nicole - who walked the red carpet at the film festival in a blue beaded, strapless Armani dress, which she teamed with Jimmy Choo shoes and Harry Winston jewellery - admitted in Cannes that her personal life always comes before her career.
Asked what she would opt for if she were forced to choose, she replied: "I would [choose love], absolutely. I wouldn't even think twice about it."

Tom Hardy cast in Kathryn Bigelow’s True American

Tom Hardy has been cast in 'True American'.
The actor will star in the crime drama directed by 'The Hurt Locker' Oscar-winner Kathryn Bigelow, The Wrap reports.
The rights to the film were acquired by Megan Ellison's Annapurna Pictures, who outbid several other production companies for the A-list package deal of Hardy and Bigelow.
Apparently, Warner Bros. made an offer on behalf of Eric Roth, while Scott Stuber wanted it for Fox for Scott Cooper.
Imagine also chased the project for Universal and New Regency sought it for Darren Aronofsky.
The film is an adaptation of Anand Giridharadas' non-fiction book 'The True American: Murder and Mercy in Texas'.
It tells the story of the shattered lives of two very different men; Bangladesh Air Force officer Raisuddin Bhuiyan, and self-proclaimed "American terrorist", Mark Stroman, who shoots in a bid for revenge in the wake of 9/11.
Ten years after the incident, Bhuiyan decides to forgive jailed Stroman and starts a campaign to have his attacker spared of the death penalty.
Bigelow hasn't been attached to a project since 'Zero Dark Thirty', but Hardy has an extremely bust year ahead.
He is due to star in Doug Liman's 'Splinter Cell' and Michael Gracey's Elton John biopic 'Rocketman', as well as Brian Helgeland's 'Legend'.

Edgar Ramirez to replace Gerard Butler in Point Break

Edgar Ramirez will replace Gerard Butler in 'Point Break'.
The 37-year-old actor is in talks with production company Alcon over the role of Bodhi - a part originally played by 'Dirty Dancing' hunk Patrick Swayze in the classic 1991 surfer heist - after Gerard Butler pulled out at the last minute, reports Variety.
Producers had less than a month to find a replacement for the '300' star who exited the film over unnamed "creative differences" and conflicting schedules.
The 44-year-old actor - who is filming 'Olympus Has Fallen' in London this autumn - was unable to take part in the lengthy 'Point Break' shoot which begins in June and is expected to last several months in a number of international locations.
Along with Edgar, Ray Winstone has been added to the cast in the role Agent Pappas, the partner of FBI agent Johnny Utah, played by 'Home And Away' star Luke Bracey.
In a new twist, 'Point Break' will be updated from a surfer-scene setting to the world of extreme sports.
'Salt' and 'Total Recall' writer Kurt Wimmer has been called in to pen the script, with Alcon's Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove producing alongside John Baldecchi, Chris Taylor and Wimmer.

Michael Eavis honoured with award

Glastonbury boss Michael Eavis will be honoured with the Music Industry Trust Award.
The 78-year-old festival organiser is set to be recognised for his contribution to live music at the 23rd annual MITS at a fancy dinner for Nordoff Robbins and the BRIT Trust in London on November 3.
Michael said: "When I set out on this crazy hippy trip 44 years ago, little did I know how this roller coaster would run.
"But now I have to pinch myself every morning."
The idea for Michael to stage a festival came in 1970 when he managed to sneak into the Blues Festival at the Bath and West Showground to see Led Zeppelin.
He was so inspired he began booking bands to play on his own farm, Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, which had been owned by his family for a century.
Michael's first festival, Pilton Pop Blues and Folk Festival, took place in September 1970 and was headlined by Marc Bolan's Tyrannosaurus Rex. It later changed its named to Glastonbury Festival in 1981 and began its attachment with charitable causes.
David Munns OBE, chairman of the MITS Award committee, said: "We are delighted to honour Michael Eavis with the Music Industry Trusts Award for 2014. We honour him as the creator of the world renowned Glastonbury Festival, the largest greenfield festival in the world, attended by over 175,000 each year and raising millions of pounds for charities.
"Through his tireless dedication, Glastonbury has become an important landmark in the cultural life of this country, with its influence spreading well beyond these shores."
Previous winners of the gong include Scottish singer Annie Lennox who was honoured last year. The likes of Adele, Joni Mitchell, Sting, Elton John, Stephen Fry and Chrissie Hynde all paid tribute to the star.

The Black Keys inspired by Led Zeppelin and The Beatles

The Black Keys put their success down to The Beatles and Led Zeppelin.
The two-piece garage band made up of Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach - who released their eighth studio album 'True Blue' on Monday (12.05.14) - credit the bands for inspiring them to make great music.
Patrick, 34 told the Daily Star newspaper: "I've always been fascinated by making a record that you want to live inside of. 'Led Zeppelin II' is a record like that, that I can really get lost in, because they're almost not songs, they're just riffs and beats and space and vocal parts. The way they utilised the form of a song always fascinated me."
The Grammy-award winning duo's progression from the blues rock sound of their first album 'The Big Come Up' to psychedelic rock in 'True Blue' was also inspired by the variation in The Beatles' eleventh studio album 'Abbey Road' and the pair are hoping to emulate their success in the future.
Patrick said: "We are huge fans of The Beatles, they're our favourite band. You go listen to the first record, 'I Want To Hold Your Hand', and then you hear the B-Side of Abbey Road, you can hear it's the same voices but everything's changed. That's the benchmark of success to me, and one day, hopefully, Dan and I can make a record that is somewhere on that scale.
"We haven't yet, and I don't think we ever will, but just knowing that exists, that you can go see this band in eight years go from point A to point Z is a reminder of why I want to make music."

Morrissey posts his first tweets

Morrissey has started using Twitter.
The 'First Of The Gang To Die' singer joined the social media site in June 2009 but only posted his first message last night (14.05.14), writing: "Hello. Testing, 1, 2, 3. Planet Earth, are you there? One can only hope... (sic)"
The post has already been re-tweeted more than 14,000 times and he followed the tweet by: "Follow, follow, follow. Twitter is the perfect metaphor for...something. Dunno what. (sic)"
The 54-year-old star has revealed the title track from his new album, 'World Peace Is None of Your Business', along with the artwork for the record.
He has also unveiled a video for a spoken word version of the single featuring Nancy Sinatra.
The album will be released on July 14 and includes songs including 'Neal Cassady Drops Dead', 'Earth Is The Loneliest Planet' and 'Kick The Bride Down The Aisle'.
Morrissey, who released his autobiography in October last year, has signed a worldwide record deal with Universal Music's American-based Harvest Records for the release of his 10th studio album.
Meanwhile, the star was recently mobbed during a concert in San Jose, California, and was knocked over after security struggled to keep members of the audience from clambering onto the stage.

Prince William and Duchess Catherine used Jones alias

Britain's Prince William and Duchess Catherine flew home from Australia under the aliases Mr. and Mrs. Jones.
The royal couple - who have 10-month-old son Prince George together - took on assumed names at Sydney airport last month, but were easily recognisable as they had hired out the entire first-class cabin of their Qantas jet, and checked 90 items of luggage.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "It was funny that they used such common British names. Even Prince George was Baby Jones.
"But it did seem a bit daft as everyone knew it was them."
The pair had so much baggage largely thanks to the number of souvenirs they received during their three-week tour of Australia and New Zealand.
It isn't the first time the couple - who married in April 2011 - have taken on aliases in public.
In 2009, Catherine, who was known as Kate Middleton before her marriage, booked a surprise break in Fowey, Cornwall, South West England, for William's 27th birthday using the names Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
William's father Prince Charles and his wife Duchess Camilla have been known to refer to themselves as Fred and Gladys.

Rich musician Paul McCartney

Sir Paul McCartney, U2, Sir Elton John, and Simon Cowell are among the wealthiest people in music.
The Beatles legend has scored fourth place in The Sunday Times' annual Rich List's Musician's list with a staggering £710 million fortune, with only record label bosses Len Balvantnik - who is worth £10 billion - and Clive Calder, and musicals supremo Sir Cameron Mackintosh placing higher.
Irish rockers U2 collectively placed sixth with a fortune of £428 million, considerably less than fifth-placed Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, who is worth a huge £640 million.
Seventh place goes to 'American Idol' creator Simon Fuller, with 'X Factor' boss Simon placing eighth thanks to assets of £300 million, a figure £50 million higher than his fortune last year.
He shares eighth place with power couple Mohammad and Kamaliya Zahoor, a record label boss and former Miss World.
'Rocket Man' star Sir Elton John rounds out the top 10 with his £260 million fortune.
Notable names filling out the top 20 include Sir Mick Jagger, who took 12th place with £215 million - two places higher and £15 million more than his Rolling Stones bandmate Keith Richards - and former Spice Girls singer-turned-fashion designer, whose joint empire with husband David sees them worth £210 million, putting them in 13th place.
Paul's Beatles bandmate Ringo Star took 18th place with a relatively more modest fortune - £170 million, while Olivia and Dhani Harrison - the widow and son of their late bandmate George Harrison - were placed 16th with assets of £190 million.
The list is based on land, property and other assets such as stocks and shares, racehorses and art.

Justin Bieber defends himself

Justin Bieber wants to be the "man his mother raised".
The 20-year-old singer has spoken out to defend himself over allegations he tried to take a woman's cell phone because she tried to take a photograph of him while playing mini-golf, insisting the "truth" will out and admitting he sometimes struggles to "take the high road" while constantly being judged and "harassed" in public.
Alongside a screengrab of a TMZ report stating an employee at Sherman Oaks Castle Park insisted he never tried to rob anyone, Justin tweeted: "It is hard to defend myself and my privacy every moment of the day. Then to see rumors. The truth will set u free.(sic)"
He then continued: "My mom raised me to be kind to others. I get judged, harassed, and I try to take the high road. Sometimes it isn't easy. But we keep trying...
"I will continue to be the man my mother raised. I love people and I will try to be kind even when things are not fair. Don't believe rumors...(sic)"
The 'Believe' hitmaker went on to thank fans for their support and insisted he was trying not to let the allegations upset him.
He added: "Thanks for those who stick by me and those that help me grow everyday. I love you. (sic)
"Off to have fun and smile with friends. I'm human. I feel. I hurt. But I got thick skin too. I can handle it. I love you."
And he then suggested he was looking to the future, tweeting: "What is to come" alongside a link to an interview with L.A. Reid hinting at a future project with the 'Beauty and a Beat' star.
It had been reported that Justin demanded to see the alleged victim's phone so he could delete pictures he believed she had taken of him, but when she refused, he grabbed it from her bag.
She began "wrestling" with the star for the phone and although he allegedly "ripped it out of her hands" he wasn't able to access the pictures because the phone was locked.
Justin then demanded she unlock it and she proved she hadn't taken any photographs, before the star "screamed" at her and upset her 13-year-old daughter.
Following the incident the woman filed a complaint with the LAPD, who have not yet spoken to the singer.

Solange attack leaker fired by hotel

The hotel employee who leaked footage of Solange Knowles attacking Jay Z has been fired.
New York's Standard Hotel announced yesterday (14.05.14) it has identified and terminated the contract of the person responsible for "breaching the security polices of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video".
It's believed the shocking footage, which was recorded in an elevator at the hotel at a Met Gala after party on May 5, was sold for around $250,000 to gossip website TMZ.
The hotel has now reportedly hired Hollywood lawyer Marty Singer to find out who sold the CCTV recording.
A source told E! News: "There are only a handful of people who'd have access to that tape. The Standard owns that tape.
"Once it was out, Jay Z's people felt they couldn't control it. They were reluctant to try and publicly fight this."
The Standard initially said it was "shocked and disappointed" that the footage had made its way online earlier this week and vowed to support a police investigation into its leak by handing over "all available information".
The three-minute long clip shows Solange, 27, throwing kicks and punches at her 44-year-old brother-in-law. Jay's wife, Solange's sister Beyonce, is also seen in the footage but does not get involved in the altercation.
Meanwhile, it's claimed that Jay - real name Shawn Carter - and Solange were seen shopping together at a high-end jewellery store in New York City on Tuesday (13.05.14), suggesting all is well in the Knowles-Carter family.

Rita Ora’s obsessed fan wanted to kill her

Rita Ora claims an obsessed fan wanted to kill her.
The 23-year-old star loves her fans, who are affectionately nicknamed Rita-bots, but she sometimes feels as though they expect too much from her, and when they react aggressively she feels un-safe.
She said: "It's nice to be accepted by my Rita-bots and I am always honest with them. But there was one person in New York who scared me.
"He was following us everywhere. I had no idea how he got to places I was going to but he would and he always, always asked for a picture.
"But one day his camera fell on the floor while it was raining and I've never seen anyone turn so angry. That was weird - you give people what they want and then they go too far, and want to kill you."
The 'I Will Never Let You Down' hitmaker - who is dating Scottish DJ Calvin Harris - admits that although she sometimes feels threatened by fans, she's still comfortable being herself in interviews, and for the most part she doesn't feel as though she has to keep things private.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: "At the moment I don't worry about it. I'm as open as I want to be. I tell the truth in interviews, you always have control over it.
"If I don't want people to know something then I won't tale about it.
"And there's a way of stopping stories coming out in the press."

Louise Thompson: Emma Miller is ‘deluded’

Louise Thompson thinks Emma Miller is "deluded".
The 'Made in Chelsea' beauty admits she wasn't too fond of the newcomer - lothario Spencer Matthews' latest love interest on the hit reality show - when she joined the cast, claiming she thought she was better than Spencer's exes including herself, Lucy Watson and Caggie Dunlop.
Louise said: "I didn't like the way she thought she was better than Lucy and I, and the fact she compared herself to Caggie was laughable. If that's how she feels then she's deluded.
"She's a very pretty girl, but she's quite withdrawn. She hadn't really shown us much of her personality. Everything she said was always a conscious decision. She was very aware of what she was doing, very controlled."
Louise, 24, had a dramatic on/off relationship with Spencer, 25, but now they are friends she is fonder of the heartbreaker.
She told Britain's Star magazine: "When you're not in a relationship with him, he can actually be incredible and really funny. In small doses he's great.
"But I wouldn't want to spend more than a day or two with him. A holiday, for example, would be a total nightmare."
