Miranda Lambert has calmed down

Miranda Lambert has "calmed down" now she has turned 30.
The country singer - who is married to Blake Shelton - admits she no longer has what she describes as her "I'll burn your house down if you don't listen to me" attitude and feels much more "settled" and happy.
She said: "That attitude brought me here and got me where I am. But that was me in my 20s. The chip on my shoulder is gone.
"At some point, you calm down. I'm happy. I'm more settled. I've put down roots."
However, Miranda insists she didn't feel she had to change for other people.
She said: "I feel like people have accepted me for who I am, with all the craziness, loudness and fire."
The 'Automatic' singer admits it is hard to hear speculation about the state of her marriage, but she thinks country music stars tend to have more solid unions than other people in the public eye.
Speaking to People Country magazine, she said: "There were rumours that it was about our marriage, that it had become boring and predictable. How do people even think that up?
"It's not easy when everyone is trying to tear you down, but you make a commitment and you stick to it. In other parts of the entertainment world, it sometimes seems like marriage is so disposable. But country has some enduring marriages - Johnny and June, George and Nancy, Faith and Tim. I'm thankful we have those role models. I feel like our peers are rooting for us. They're holding us up."

Nicole Kidman’s daughter wants to be a rock star

Nicole Kidman's three-year-old daughter wants to be a rock star.
'The Railway Man' actress' youngest daughter Faith has already been getting guitar lessons from her musician dad Keith Urban because she wants to play alongside her famous father on stage one day.
The family follows 'American Idol' judge Keith on tour around the US and while their eldest daughter Sunday, five, groans at the prospect of watching her dad on stage, their youngest child is his number one fan.
Nicole explained on chat show 'Jimmy Kimmel Live': "They get to be beside the stage even though my oldest daughter is like, 'Eurgh I so don't wanna go and watch dad play', I'm like, 'Sunday at least act a little bit enthusiastic!' The little one will stand there with her guitar aside the stage. She's three."
While Nicole is encouraging of her musician daughter, her 'American Idol' judge husband is much more critical.
She added: "I always say to her, you stick at that guitar and you can be out there on the stage with her dad. Keith's tough he's like, 'Hmm the pitch', I'm like, 'Shush, she's three!' He's like, 'I'm not going to sugar coat it.' He's teaching her chords and everything."
Nicole, 46 - who also has two grown-up children, Isabella and Connor, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise -also revealed Sunday has ambitions of following in her mother's footsteps by becoming an actress.
She added: "My oldest daughter is interested in acting and my youngest daughter is interested in music so it's a very divided family."

Kaiser Chiefs want their song for World Cup

Kaiser Chiefs want their track 'Coming Home' to be England's unofficial world cup anthem.
The Football Association have selected Gary Barlow's 'Greatest Day' - featuring former Spice Girl Mel C, Pixie Lott, Katy B and Gary Lineker - as the official 2014 song ahead of the competition in Brazil in June, but Kaiser Chiefs are hoping fans will be playing their track.
Bassist Simon Rix told The Sun newspaper: "Hopefully, 'Coming Home' will be played when England are carrying the World Cup on the plane back home."
Frontman Ricky Wilson joked: "We could always do a special edition - 'Coming Home Early!'"
The 36-year-old singer revealed the band - also made up of Simon, Vijay Mistry, Nick 'Peanut' Baines and Andrew White - were asked to write a World Cup song in 2006 but turned the opportunity down, which Ricky admits was a mistake.
He said: "We were asked to do a World Cup song but we said no. We said we didn't have the time. But you can make some time for something like that.
"When the World Cup was on, we were all sitting in the pub going, 'We could have been doing this'."
Instead, fellow Yorkshire rockers Embrace ended up recording the official song 'World At Your Feet'.
Meanwhile, the Kaisers have released their new track from their latest album 'Education, Education, Education & War', which was recorded at a studio they used to work in when they were just 17.
Ricky said: "It was kinda inspiring, it was just us boys in a room, making a racket."

Cher relaxes after tough shows

Cher relaxed by taking a bubble bath after the first shows on her 'Dressed to Kill Farewell Tour'.
The 'Turn Back Time' singer needed to unwind after a less than perfect start to her live shows and admitted she had sore muscles after just a few days on the road.
She took to Twitter last night (25.03.14) to tell fans about her after show ritual, writing: "Jumped out of Clothes after Show..,AND Jumped into HOT Bubble & Epsom Salts bath & Sank Down To Chin ! Ahh (sic)"
The 67-year-old singer opened her latest concert series in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday (22.03.14) and admitted it had been emotional after some of her costumes didn't fit and she had reportedly forgotten the lyrics to a few of her songs, according to Billboard.
Sources claim the star was even seen "sobbing" backstage after the show.
But she worked out the issues and tweeted yesterday thanking her crew for their dedication and making sure everything ran smoothly.
"I WANT 2 THANK MY"ENTIRE" WORK CREW..& 'EVERYONE' INVOLVED WITH MY SHOW EVERYONE HAS GONE WAY BEYOND WHATS POSSIBLE THEY R THE BEST (sic)"
Cher will perform in Dallas, Texas tonight (26.03.14) before travelling between the US and Canada and taking to the stage for her final show in San Diego, California on July 11.

Madonna to direct new movie

Madonna is to direct a new romantic movie.
The 'Hung Up' hitmaker - who made her directorial debut in 2011 with historical romance 'W.E.' - is to get behind the camera for an adaptation of Rebecca Walker's novel 'Adé: A Love Story', deadline.com reports.
The story is based on the author's experiences and revolves around a college student who falls in love with the title character, a young Swahili man, and they plan to marry and live a simple life in Kenya.
However, their plans are left in jeopardy when a civil war threatens to tear them apart.
Bruce Cohen - best known for his work on 'American Beauty', 'Milk', and 'Silver Linings Playbook' - will produce the film alongside his director of development Jessica Leventhal, and the author.
A screenwriter has not yet been hired for the project, which is currently in the process of putting together financing.
Madonna previously revealed she turned to ex-husbands Guy Ritchie and Sean Penn for advice when directing her first movie.
She said: "I talked to Sean about making the film, and he's always been supportive of me. I gave the screenplay to Guy and shared the concepts and the stories and the ideas with him because he was interested in it from a historical point of view.
"They never really gave me specific advice about telling the story, but Guy would give me technical advice about cameras or using digital versus film or one cinematographer being better than another - just technical things."

Queen Elizabeth could lose royal consent

Britain's Queen Elizabeth could lose her right to consent to new laws.
MPs are discussing whether to abolish royal consent from the 87-year-old monarch and Prince Charles when ushering in new laws, and have declared the process of seeking consent from the queen and first in line to the throne "arcane and complex".
The Commons' Political and Constitutional Reform committee fears royal consent could fuel speculation the royal family has "undue influence" on policy making, however, they say the process is more a "matter of courtesy" and there is no evidence the royals have influenced law change.
A new report states: "The United Kingdom is a constitutional monarchy. The queen has the right to be consulted, to advise and to warn. But beyond that she should have no role in the legislative process.
"Its existence could be regarded as a matter of courtesy between the three parts of Parliament. Whether this is a compelling justification for its continuance is a matter of opinion."
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles are currently given approval of any laws that may affect royal matters or the interests of the Crown or Duchy of Cornwall.

Danny Dyer blasts ‘showbiz snobbery’

Danny Dyer says he struggles with "playing the game" in his career.
The 'EastEnders' actor feels other BBC stars such as 'Sherlock' actor Benedict Cumberbatch are taken more seriously than him and thinks there is "snobbery" in showbiz.
He explained: "You've got actors like Benedict Cumberbatch - a great actor, but he's a posh boy playing posh boys. He does it well, and he doesn't get mocked for that.
"I play working class people, and I get mocked for it. I'm stereotyped, he's not. I've done plays at the National Theatre, come off stage and gone into the bar and I ain't got nothing in common with those people.
"When it comes to playing the game, I'm rubbish. The middle-class actors are better prepped at working the system, because they've got more in common with the decision makers."
The 36-year-old star, who is known for being foul-mouthed on Twitter, also revealed that 'EastEnders' bosses have asked him to rein in his uncensored behaviour after signing up to work for public broadcaster BBC.
He told Woman magazine: "I sat down with the producers of 'EastEnders' and the Twitter thing was one of their main worries. But they have to understand that they've brought me into the show for my brand and there's a side effect of that.
"They're taking a risk with me and that's what's going to make it exciting. It's tough landing as high profile as 'EastEnders' because I have to be me but dumbed down, and I don't do that very well."

Kim Kardashian: Elizabeth Taylor’s home wasn’t ‘realistic choice’

Kim Kardashian didn't buy the late Dame Elizabeth Taylor's former mansion because it "only had a one-car garage".
The 33-year-old reality TV star viewed the late legendary actress' luxury property in Bel Air, California, but decided it wasn't a "realistic choice" for her and her fiancé Kanye West.
Speaking in the April issue of VOGUE magazine, she said: "It was just so enchanting, with a garden with really pretty trellises and beautiful roses, but it wasn't realistic for me to purchase. It only had a one-car garage."
Elizabeth's stunning home, which she lived in from 1981 until her death in 2011, was auctioned off after she died from congestive heart failure three years ago, with proceeds going to her AIDS Foundation.
Meanwhile, Kim has been staying at her mother Kris Jenner's house with Kanye, 36, and their nine-month-old daughter North while they wait for renovations on their new mansion in Los Angeles to be completed.
The couple - who got engaged in October - were hoping to move into their new home at the end of last year but, after a few electrical glitches, their moving date has been pushed back until the summer.
It is believed the rapper and his beau splashed out $1.154 million on six luxury beds for their new pad and have also spent a staggering $500,000 on gold-plated toilets.
The pair are also keen to have a cinema room and a full-sized basketball court attached to their property, which will be kitted out with Swarovski accessories.

Chris Martin buys Gwyneth Paltrow parting painting

Chris Martin bought Gwyneth Paltrow a painting as a parting present to mark the "new stage" in their lives.
The Oscar-winning actress and the Coldplay frontman, who tied the knot in 2003 and have daughter Apple, nine, and son Moses, seven, together, have had an extremely amicable end to their marriage.
He gifted her with the image of a "bird in flight", painted by Mila Fürstová, who has created the artwork for the band's sixth studio album 'Ghost Stories'.
A source told the Mail Online website: "Chris has even given Gwyneth a present to mark this new stage, a painting of a bird in flight by Mila Fürstová. It's beautiful."
News of Gwyneth and Chris ending their 10-year marriage came as were on vacation on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas, reports LaineyGossip, and they are hoping to "enjoy being friends" and want Apple and Moses to know that they're still a family.
The source added: "Going away together may seem unusual but that's Gwyneth and Chris.
"Foremost they want the kids to see they mean business about remaining a family, and another ... they want to miss the fallout.
"It might sound like a line that they're happier than they've ever been but the relief is massive, they can enjoy being friends again now.
"It's like all the tensions have finally dispersed, the stress of arguing where about where to live. She missed Los Angeles and he's an English boy through and through so that seemed like an eternal battle.
"They're communicating again, they're having a glass of wine together and a laugh and were actually looking forward to the holiday."

Jessica Pare considered moving home and quitting acting

Jessica Pare considered moving back in with her parents before she landed her role in 'Mad Men'.
The 33-year-old actress "struggled" to earn a living when she moved to Hollywood in a bid to launch her acting career and considering moving back to Montreal, Canada and quitting acting after a string of disappointments.
Jessica told the April issue of America's Esquire magazine: "I really struggled. I was ready to move back to my parents' place, ready to get a job at my friend's bar back home and just pack it in."
Jessica considered moving back in with her parents because she needed an employer willing to sponsor her in order to receive a visa to stay in America.
However, the 33-year-old beauty soon landed a role as Megan Draper on popular drama series 'Mad Men' and thinks her careless attitude towards the audition could be what got her the job.
She added: "I had nothing left to lose, I went into the audition thinking, This is it. If you don't like it, that's fine. Nobody else has."
Meanwhile, Jessica insists she has come to terms with some of the harsh criticisms from viewers regarding the distinctive gap in her teeth, and prefers to laugh off cruel jibes.
She joked: "You can't get a lot of s**t stuck in these teeth!"
