Ryan Thomas: Leaving Corrie would be ‘risky’

Ryan Thomas says it'd be "risky" to leave 'Coronation Street'.
The 30-year-old star has played hunky mechanic Jason Grimshaw for 14 years on the ITV soap and admits the job security makes him reluctant to leave as he is able to comfortably provide for his daughter, five-year-old Scarlett, whom he shares with former co-star Tina O'Brien.
He explained to Britain's OK! magazine: "It would be great to one day step out of the bubble and see what's out there, but it's a risky game and I've got a child and I'm lucky to have a continuous wage which not many actors have.
"You're in a sheltered life, which as a 16 year old was great, but now I think it would be great to see what's out there. However, at the moment it's good. I love the people I work with."
Ryan began working on 'Corrie' at the age of 16 and has now been with the show for over a decade, but he admits his dad Dougie James didn't see him lasting very long when he first signed up.
The actor recalled: "He said, 'They're not going to keep you.' I was like, 'Cheers, dad!' I was a bit of a bad lad back then so they'd say, 'You're on your last warning.'
"I thought, I could lose my job here, but I didn't and now every year I say to him, 'That's been a long three months, hasn't it, dad?' "

Dan Osborne: Jacqueline Jossa is ‘incredible’

Dan Osborne thinks Jacqueline Jossa is "incredible".
'The Only Way Is Essex' hunk has confirmed his romance with the 'EastEnders' star, revealing that although it's early days, Jacqueline could be the one.
The pair sparked rumours they had reignited their fling following a series of flirty Twitter exchanges, and it certainly seems things are heating up between them.
Asked whether she could be the right girl for him, Dan replied: "Who knows? She's absolutely incredible. Watch this space! I respect her a lot. I like the girl, so I don't want to ruin it."
The 22-year-old star is definitely off the market and is leaving his womanising days firmly behind him.
He added to Now magazine: "I'm being a good boy. I just want to enjoy myself and be me, have a good time with the lads and let them have all the girls."
Dan became a dad to baby Teddy in January, but is adamant he won't be reconciling with the mother of his son, Megan Tomlin.
He said: "That's not on the cards. Sometimes it's civil. I'll always care about her - she's the mother of my child, but that's as far as it goes."
The doting dad's priorities have definitely shifted and he wants to settle down to provide a stable environment for Teddy.
Dan explained: "Being a dad's changed me a lot. Now there are more important things than orange tans and flirting with girls! I don't want to be dating, I just want to calm myself down and grow up a bit."

Lindsay Lohan moving to London

Lindsay Lohan is house-hunting in London.
The 'Mean Girls' actress - who moved back to New York after her sixth stint in rehab last year - has been enjoying a stint in the UK but has grown tired of moving hotels every few weeks so wants to find a more permanent base.
Insiders claim the 27-year-old star is hoping to stay in the city for at least a year.
Former model and reality TV star Tom Kilbey - who Lindsay is rumoured to be dating - has been on several nights out with the actress in London and says she is a big fan of the local "scene".
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I met Lindsay four years ago through mutual friends when I was working in LA.
"She's actually really down to earth and cool. I think she likes the scene over here."
Meanwhile, the 'Machete' star and her friends - including Tom - were almost thrown out of a party on Monday (16.06.14) for dancing on tables and smoking indoors at Cafe de Paris.
A source at the Moschino LC:M After Party told the Daily Star newspaper: "Lindsay's friends were pounding the Patrón Margaritas, which made them very rowdy.
"She hardly noticed though as she spent most of the evening cosying up to Tom.
"But security weren't pleased when they saw the mayhem LiLo and her pals were causing.
"Especially when they saw that the group were all smoking inside and risking the safety of themselves and others by getting on to the tables.
"However, the organisers pleaded with security not to oust LiLo and her posse because of their bad behaviour."
"No-one wanted the night to turn ugly."

Madonna having ‘a fling’

Madonna is having a "fling" with a 26-year-old dancer.
The 55-year-old singer - who split from Brahim Zaibat, 25, six months ago - has been dating dancer and choreographer Timor Steffens since January, but friends of the 'Hung Up' hitmaker insist the romance "isn't serious".
Madonna - who has children Lourdes, 17, Rocco, 13, Mercy, eight, and David, also eight - was first romantically linked with Timor in January and they have been spotted out together several times since, including at the Grammy awards and most recently at a preview of 'Holler If Ya Hear Me' on New York's Broadway this week.
However, despite their string of dates over such a long period of time, the pair are not in a relationship.
A source told E! News: "It's not serious. [It's] just a fling."
The couple met late last year in Switzerland after being introduced at a chateau owned by fashion designer Valentino, a regular retreat for the pop superstar.
The 'Like a Virgin' hitmaker recently revealed her father hates her sexy image.
She said: "I would always say, 'Dad, I'm an artist, I have to express myself. You don't understand ... He's like, 'Do you have to simulate masturbation on the bed? Do you have to?' Yes, dad, I do."
The 'Hung Up' star also joked her dad has "finally" learned to accept her raunchy image.
She added: "I think he's finally come to terms with it. It's only taken 30 years."

Timothy Spall learnt to paint for Mr Turner

Timothy Spall spent four years learning how to paint for his role in 'Mr Turner'.
The 57-year-old star was awarded the Best Actor gong at Cannes Film Festival for his portrayal of artist JMW Turner and he's revealed it took him years to prepare for the role, which required him to recreate his character's oil paintings.
Referring to one of his masterpieces, Spall said: "It's actually on my wall at home now."
The film examines the last 25 years of Turner's life, which he spent living with his mistress Sophia Booth, and Spall insists his character's relationship had nothing to do with love.
He told The Times newspaper: "Turner was not the marrying kind. He liked women for comfort and sex.
"He was a most unusual man; the last person, if you met him in the street, that you could imagine becoming one of the greatest artists we have ever known."
Spall - who is best known for his appearances in the 'Harry Potter' series and his portrayal of Winston Churchill in 'The King's Speech' - was amazed by the critical praise he received for his award-winning performance in 'Mr Turner'.
He confessed: "I've never read anything like it. My reviews are normally, 'Pretty good actor, shame about the face'. It's only taken 38 years. It all comes to them that waits."

Sam Smith cried when choir performed his song

Sam Smith cried when he heard choirs performing his music.
The BRIT Critics' Choice Award-winner's first LP 'In The Lonely Hour' might have become the fastest-selling debut album of 2014 so far, but Sam has remained so humble that he still feels emotional when he hears people singing his songs.
Asked about the last time he cried, he admitted during an interview with Hot Press.com: "The day before yesterday, because I was recording a song in L.A. with a 30-piece orchestra and 20 gospel choirs and they were singing my song.
"I cried my eyes out. My music is so personal so when I heard that happening I was like, 'Oh my gosh!'."
Sam, 22, is a self-professed sensitive soul and explained he wanted his debut album to be deeply personal and not feature unrealistic ideals he can't identify with.
The 'Money on my Mind' hitmaker said: "I'm drawing on unrequited love on the album. It's called 'In The Lonely Hour' because it's about loneliness, and the purest form of loneliness you can find because I've never been in a relationship before.
"So it's almost like I fell in love with my loneliness, because it was just me and that. It's not necessarily sad, it's my version of what I think is love right now. Which I think will change, but I just wanted to be as brutally honest as I could about being lonely."

David Hasselhoff irons shirts in the shower

David Hasselhoff steam irons his shirts in the shower.
The 61-year-old star has confessed he usually asks his girlfriend Hayley Roberts, 34, to help him smooth the creases out of his smart shirts, so when he was staying in a London hotel while she visited her native Wales, he had to think on his feet.
But the former 'Baywatch' actor admits he was shocked when his steam shower caused firefighters to turn up at his hotel room door.
David exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Someone set the fire alarm off in my hotel and all the lifeguards and firefighters came to my room and then I realised it was me that set off the fire alarm by accident.
"It looked like an episode of 'Baywatch' and the guys were quite taken aback that I was there and I was just petrified that it was actually me.
"And then I got to see quite a lot of people in their dressing gowns as they had to evacuate the hotel, but it was fun."
Quizzed on how he'd managed to set the alarm off, he added: "I was actually steaming my shirts. My shirts were wrinkled and I can't seem to get my girlfriend to go out and buy me a steam iron. She keeps forgetting.
"So I was steaming up my shower and waving my shirts around getting some wrinkles out because I don't like to iron things ... So I made a little steam shower and when I opened the door the steam went through the hotel and set off all the alarms. It was pretty funny."
Meanwhile, the father-of-two is currently taking part in an experiment on social media to see whether people can tell the difference between him and his lookalike, play the game at www.hoffornot.com

Angelina Jolie can’t compare to own mother

Angelina Jolie doesn't think she's as good a parent as her own mother.
The 'Maleficent' actress - who raises children Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight, and five-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with fiancé Brad Pitt - says her late mum Marcheline Bertrand is her role model and couldn't have done a better job at bringing up her and her brother James Haven.
Speaking to Grazia magazine, she said: "It's hard to think I could be as good a mother as she was. Her whole life was motherhood."
The 39-year-old star also admitted she prefers to home-school her children because she wants them to have "a bigger picture of life".
Meanwhile, last week, Angelina spoke at the summit to end sexual violence in London and she has vowed to keep campaigning forever.
She said: "I will work on this for as long as I am alive, for as long as it
takes ... This sends a big message around the world. You see how women are treated as second-class citizens and abused.
"This is to say, 'No you can't' and we will, in an organised fashion, come after you."

Halle Berry loves taking kids to work

Halle Berry loves taking her children to work with her.
The 47-year-old actress enjoys taking her kids, Nahla, six, whom she has with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, and eight-month-old son Maceo, with now-husband Olivier Martinez, on film sets because it allows her to juggle motherhood and work at the same time.
Speaking to PEOPLE, she said: "I love having my kids there [on set] because I am nursing my baby. To have him there is great for me. I love being involved all day."
However, the brunette beauty recently revealed that she and Olivier, 48, whom she married last July, were struggling to find the balance between parenthood and their demanding careers.
She said: "[A new baby means] less sleep. And I'm working on the TV show ['Extant']. It's a new grind, it's a new rhythm.
"We're trying to get used to that. [But] we're managing."
Meanwhile, one thing Halle hasn't got on her mind at the moment is the stress of losing her postpartum pounds because she insists the most important thing to her is remaining healthy.
She said last month: "I'm healthy and that's really good. When you're nursing you can't really diet because you have to keep producing milk ... I'm healthy and I'm happy and that's all that matters."

Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino arrested for assault

Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino has been arrested for assault.
The former 'Jersey Shore' star was detained by police yesterday (17.06.14) after he allegedly started a brawl at his own Boca Tanning Salon in Middletown, New Jersey.
Detective Lieutenant Steve Dollinger told PEOPLE: "On Tuesday afternoon we responded to a 911 call at Boca in reference to a fight in progress. Upon arrival, our officers arrested Mike Sorrentino for simple assault. He is in the process of posting $500 bail and the matter will be set for a court date."
The police got a phone call from a member of public reporting a "fist fight" between Mike and his brother Frank, but it is believed just the reality TV star was arrested following the alleged scuffle.
Meanwhile, Mike is set to star in his own reality show 'The Sorrentinos', an eight-episode programme commissioned by TVGN, which will follow him and his family as they open their own tanning salon, and support his sobriety following a 2012 stint in rehab.
He said previously: "The reality of the situation is ... for the first time, fans and the general public, will be able to see and, well, meet Michael Sorrentino. This next chapter of my life is about sobriety and family, and I'm stoked to take people on this journey with us."
'The Sorrentinos' will air on July 15.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are dating again

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are back together.
The 20-year-old singer and the 'Come & Get It' hitmaker, 21, have rekindled their romance after they spent the day riding around Los Angeles on a three-wheeled motorcycle and getting cosy at their friend Alfredo Flores' birthday party on Monday (16.06.14).
A source told Us Magazine: "Justin and Selena are definitely full-on back together at the moment. They spent all day riding together on a Can-Am Spyder on Sunset Boulevard ... Justin drove while Selena sat on the back holding on to [him]. He was incredibly sweet with her and they looked super happy and in love."
However, one pal believes it won't be long before the couple - who have been on/off for three years - call time on their romance again.
The insider close to Justin explained: "It is always on and off. Same story, every other week, every year. Now they are together again, next week they won't be. They never stop talking, even when you don't see them together -- that never changes. They fight, take a break, and then get back together."
Meanwhile, Justin sparked speculation he and Selena had patched things up last week when he posted an intimate picture of them together on Instagram, along with the caption, "Our love is unconditional", before quickly deleting the snap.
The brunette beauty, who sought treatment in rehab in January, previously reunited with the 'Baby' singer in March, but they split a few weeks later amid rumours she was jealous of his friendship with reality TV star Kylie Jenner, 16.

Jennifer Lopez fancies David Gandy

Jennifer Lopez has a crush on David Gandy.
The 'On the Floor' hitmaker - who has recently ended her two-year relationship with Casper Smart - admits she's got her eye on the British model, who appears in her new 'First Love' music video.
Speaking on 'Live With Kelly and Michael' yesterday (17.06.14), she said: "Well, I would never ever name anybody, but I just did a video with this model. I don't know if you guys know him, his name is David Gandy ... He's in the Dolce & Gabbana ads ... I mean, this guy, he's almost perfect. He's almost perfect."
The 44-year-old singer, who has six-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with her third ex-husband Marc Anthony, has thrown herself into her work since splitting from 27-year-old Casper, but credits her family and friends for helping her to relax.
She said previously: "I'm constantly busy working, so when I do get time off, I like to relax and spend time with my kids, my family, and my friends."
Meanwhile, Jennifer recently admitted that she has no regrets in life because she believes she always makes the right decisions for herself in the end.
Asked what she advice she would give her younger self, she said: "I would tell her to follow her gut because everything always works out in the end."
She added: "The best advice I ever received was someone telling me to always trust my instincts, because you know yourself best."
