Elton John teaching sons about diversity

Sir Elton John and David Furnish are teaching their sons about the "diversity of families".
The couple raise Zachary, three, and Elijah, 16 months, together and their oldest son is now beginning to understand that households often have different parents so they are keen for them to celebrate the differences in family units.
David told People: "Our oldest is just starting to get his head around daddy and a papa, and not a mommy and a daddy, because he just started to go to pre-nursery school with other kids.
"He's learning about the mixture of different families. We read books to him that really celebrate the diversity of families in society today. We want to make sure that our boys realise that there are all different kinds of families and all families are great."
At the weekend, the couple - who entered into a civil partnership in 2005 - announced their intention to wed after same-sex marriage was made legal in the UK, and though they are planning an intimate ceremony in May, they would have tied the knot sooner if it weren't for the 'Rocket Man' singer's commitment to his Las Vegas residency.
David said: "Elton's on this side of the world for his [Las Vegas residency show], and we're not in the UK. Had we been in the UK., we would have done it this weekend, absolutely.
"We'll go to the registry again and we'll take the boys with us. Take along the one or two witnesses that we need and make it very small and intimate."
Elton added in an interview with Matt Lauer on 'Today': "We'll do it very quietly. But we will do it and it will be a joyous occasion and we will have our children."

Katie Price invites Prince Harry to barbecue

Katie Price has invited Prince Harry to a barbecue.
The former glamour model took to Twitter to apologise to the prince for not inviting him to her 2005 nuptials to Peter Andre, 41, but said she wants the royal to pop around her house for a "cuppa", or to try out her "legendary" grill cook out.
Katie, 35, wrote: "There is no more weddings but ur welcome to pop over for a cuppa anytime or chill at one of my legendary bbqs xxxx (sic)."
The invitation comes after it was revealed that Prince Harry, 29, said he would rather have attended Katie's wedding to Peter than the nuptials of his stepbrother Tom Parker Bowles, in the ongoing phone hacking trial.
The Duchess of Cornwall's son got married on the same day Katie - who wed Alex Reid before getting hitched to Kieran Hayler last year- wed the 'Mysterious Girl' singer in an over-the-top celebrity ceremony.
Journalist Clive Goodman - who worked for now defunct newspaper the News of the World at the time - claimed Harry told a fellow guest at the Parker Bowles wedding: "To be honest I'd rather be at Jordan's."
It was revealed in court that the former royal editor claimed a lip reader, hired by the now defunct tabloid to watch the royals, had picked up the comment.

New Michael Jackson album set for release

A new Michael Jackson album will be released in May.
The LP, titled 'Xscape', will include eight unheard tracks from the late singer's vaults and is in conjunction with his estate and Epic Records, who announced the news on his official website today (31.03.14).
Label boss L.A. Reid took the lead on the album, which will be out on May 13, and went about "contemporising" each of the recordings.
He said in a statement: "Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with," adding, "We are extremely proud and honoured to present this music to the world."
Timbaland is the lead producer for the record, while Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Jerome 'Jroc' Harmon and John McClain have also worked on the surprise record.
L.A Reid added: "'Xscape' continues the tradition of naming Jackson's albums after one of its songs. The title track was written and produced by Jackson and Jerkins, who recorded the original with the singer."
Epic will release a deluxe edition of the record which will include all the sourced recordings in their original form.
Meanwhile, the singer's track 'Slave to the Rhythm' featured in an advert for Sony.

Rita Ora was nervous working with Calvin

Rita Ora was "nervous" about working with Calvin Harris.
The 23-year-old singer, who has been dating the superstar DJ on/off for a year, chose him to produce her latest single 'I Will Never Let You Down', which she claims is a "love song you can dance to".
When asked if she can concentrate in the recording studio with Calvin, she told BBC Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw: "No, no I can't. Do you know, funny story, I was actually again a bit nervous, because he's never seen me in work mode. I was like, 'What if I riff a bit bad?'
"But literally just ten minutes in he was so blunt, I think it's the Scottish-ness in him, he was just like 'no' etc and it happened so quick. It was a very good experience.
"It's about having fun ... and cos I take everything so seriously, I'm always a bit like work, work. He's like, you really need to just enjoy it. And I agree, so I'm just enjoying it right now. And I'm happy we kinda did it together. (sic)"
She added: "It's a nice little feeling for me, it makes it personal."
The 'R.I.P' hitmaker, who also launched her single by releasing dozens of balloons in London's Leicester Square today (31.03.14), will perform at a number of festivals this summer is looking forward to sharing her new music with her fans.
She said: "Summertime is the time when people want soundtracks of summer. People just want to listen to music and feel good and have a barbecue, sit in the grass, rub their bottoms on the grass, and you know, just feel life. And that's what I think everybody needs.
"I love performing live really, it's my favourite thing. You see people, you can do what you want and get away with it on stage.
"The five seconds before you go on stage [is the best bit], and the five minutes after the comedown when you come off stage... For me that's the worst part."

Three more TOWIE stars to quit show?

'The Only Way is Essex' could be set to lose three more of its stars.
Tom Pearce, James 'Diags' Bennewith and Jasmin Walia have reportedly all threatened to leave the ITV2 reality show because they're unhappy with their pay.
A production source told The Sun newspaper: "They couldn't survive on what they earned on the show."
The news comes after it was announced yesterday (30.03.14) that series regular and fan favourite Sam Faiers is allegedly exiting 'TOWIE' to concentrate on rekindling her relationship with her ex-fiancé Joey Essex and her recovery from Crohn's disease.
Diags is said to be planning to reprise his job with British Gas, while high-flyer Tom will go back to his banking role in London and Jasmin is expected to return to being a mortgage adviser at NatWest.
Should the rumour be true, this will be a massive blow for the popular series, which has lost some of its most high-profile characters over the last few years, including Lauren Goodger, Amy Childs, Mark Wright, Mick Norcross and Joey Essex.
Meanwhile, an insider commented about Sam's shock departure: "She feels it's time to go. She's had a great time but doesn't want to have relationships just for air time.
"She's looking forward to her relationship not being there for everyone to judge."

Eleanor Tomlinson joins BBC drama Poldark

Eleanor Tomlinson has been cast in 'Poldark'.
The 'White Queen' actress will star in BBC One's rebooted new adaptation of Winston Graham's novels, which are set in 18th century Cornwall, and will be playing the outspoken and free-spirited Demelza in the romantic saga opposite Aidan Turner as Ross Poldark.
The novels were first turned into a successful BBC drama series almost forty years ago and Eleanor hopes she can help the remake to live up to the original.
She said of the role:"I am conscious of the fact that the original series had a huge following and was tremendously popular. All I can promise is that I will do my utmost to do justice to the spirit of Winston Graham's iconic character."
The period drama follows the story of Ross as he returns from the American War of Independence to Cornwall and struggles to cope with how his home county has changed since his departure.
Eleanor is known for playing Isabel Neville in 'The White Queen' and Georgiana Darcy in 'Death Comes to Pemberley', while Aidan plays Kíli in 'The Hobbit' trilogy and John Mitchell in the supernatural series 'Being Human'.
Other leading roles have been snapped up by 'Lark Rise To Candleford' star Ruby Bentall as Ross' cousin Verity, and Heida Reed, who will play his former fiancée Elizabeth.
The new 'Poldark' series will land on BBC One in 2015 and producers have apparently confirmed that a post-watershed slot will make this version even steamier than the original.

Joan Collins pays tribute to Kate O’Mara

Joan Collins has paid tribute to her former co-star Kate O'Mara.
The 80-year-old actress took to social networking site Twitter yesterday (30.03.14) after news broke that her former 'Dynasty' co-star - who played the role of her character Alexis Morell's sister Caress - had died at the age of 74.
She wrote: "Tragic news about Kate O Mara , we had great fun on Dynasty when she played my sister Caress who Alexis insisted on calling CASSIE! RIP (sic)."
Kate - who passed away at a nursing home in Sussex, south-east England following a short illness - also starred in 'Absolutely Fabulous' as Joanna Lumley's on-screen sister and in 'Doctor Who' opposite Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy as Time Lord The Rani.
Mark Gatiss - who has admitted he is working on two new episodes of the sci-fi series - also praised the British actress and spoke fondly of working with her on radio series 'Nebulous'.
Writing on Twitter, he said: "Farewell to the much underrated & glorious Kate O'Mara. Had the pleasure of working with her on 'Nebulous'. Deft, funny & delightful. RIP (sic)."
Kate had most recently appeared in the ITV comedy series 'Benidorm' and in a stage adaptation of Agatha Christie's 'Death on the Nile'.

Tom Cruise: I’m very adventurous

Tom Cruise claims he is "very adventurous".
The 'Top Gun' actor insists he lives life to the full and spoke about his love of the film industry at the Jameson Empire Awards in London on Sunday (30.03.14), where he picked up the Legend of Our Lifetime accolade.
Asked what he would do differently if he could to start again in life, he told BANG Showbiz: "It would have to be live, die, repeat. There's so many things in life you want to see and want to do, I'm very adventurous.
"The people I get to meet and work with in the movie business everyday, they're exceptional people ... I get to make films and it's such a unique art form. It does take a lot of people, when you look at the credits, it gets bigger and bigger because we have such an extended amount of technicians and artists. It's been amazing."
Tom is interested in filming a 'Top Gun' sequel and has "talked about different kinds of stories" with movie bosses and insists they are "trying to figure it out."
Meanwhile, the 51-year-old star will also appear in alien war film 'Edge of Tomorrow' this year and revealed there are plenty of "great female characters" in the movie.
He explained: "Emily Blunt plays this extraordinary warrior who knows that the end of the world is coming and she had this superpower and she lost it, so she's about to go into battle on this day knowing the world is going to end."
Tom revealed he plays an "unlikely hero" in the film who is on the outside and is suddenly forced into the situation.
He said: "You have this wonderful dynamic of my character and Emily's character.
"It's the journey of this guy who has to take responsibility and he becomes to be the quiet hero. You look at Doug Liman, the films he's made - they're very big commercial movies but they're also human films and human stories."

Richard Armitage emotional about final Hobbit film

Richard Armitage has a "lump in his throat" about the final movie in the 'The Hobbit' trilogy.
The actor, who plays Thorin Oakenshield in the movies, directed by Peter Jackson, feels emotional about Middle Earth possibly being shown on the big screen for the last time after the 'Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' movies are complete.
He told BANG Showbiz :" It will be 15 years of Peter Jackson's work, there'll be six movies to watch, but it could be the final time. There's something moving about that.
It'll be a shorter film and you'll get to hear the end of the tale that Tolkien wrote.
"I can tell you nothing about the Battle of the Five Armies other than it cost me some blood and some tears.
"I think it's a testament to Peter Jackson's casting that the actors that come together to work on a movie with him do naturally develop a fellowship."
The 42-year-old actor claims it was a "bit of an endurance test" for the cast involved but it helped them to bond and he was thrilled to be able to work with Sir Ian Holm, who will reprise the role of the senior Bilbo Baggins in the movie.
Richard continued: "[It] was a lot of fun - he's a very naughty, entertaining man!
"It [the film] took me away to New Zealand for 18 months, which was a bit of a change.
"I was introduced to some incredible people; I was made to feel like one of the family. The time we were afforded to shoot made me work in a different way.
"I was gifted the sword at the end of the shoot, which is incredibly heavy and really rather beautifully made, so I'm very proud of it. I'm very proud of my sword."

Rita Ora’s mum is obsessed with selfies

Rita Ora's mum was too busy taking 'selfies' on Mother's Day (30.03.14) to pay attention to her.
The 23-year-old star and her sister Elena bought their mother, Vera, a Spa package but joked she didn't spend much quality time with them because she was too busy updating her Instagram account.
Speaking to Nick Grimshaw on BBC Radio 1, she said: "We went to the Spa and she didn't pay any attention to me, she just was on Instagram like taking pictures of herself in the spa ... making selfies. Me and my sister were like, 'OK, great, we have this mother package and you're not even enjoying family time'.
"It came with lunch, massage [and a] facial, which by the way, I passed out [during], because I was really tired. I didn't even remember her giving me a facial or a massage.
"I don't even think she did anything. I just woke up and was really moisturised, I felt like, 'Did I just get conned because I passed out?"
Rita had posted a photograph of her mum on Instagram on Sunday, who was preoccupied on her mobile phone, along with the caption: "Spa day with mama and she's so interested she's on her phone....great. Hello??!!! (sic)"
Meanwhile, Nick also talked about seeing his mum on Mother's Day and revealed she asked if Rita was still dating Calvin Klein.
He said: "My mum has been spreading the rumour that you've been dating Calvin Klein and not Calvin Harris."
Rita, who has been with the DJ on/off for a year, laughed and replied: "Imagine Klein being a DJ, in boxers, throwing them about."

Debbie Rowe undergoing cancer tests

Michael Jackson's ex-wife is undergoing tests to see if she has cancer.
Debbie Rowe -who was married to the late 'Thriller' star for just under three years until October 1999 and had children Prince, 17, and Paris, 15, with him - will undergo a biopsy today (31.03.14) after medical examinations over the last few months have shown "irregularities" with her lymph nodes, and though her doctors are said to be "convinced" she has lymphoma, the 55-year-old nurse is confident she will be given the all-clear.
According to website TMZ, she said: "I'm too healthy to have cancer."
Michael died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 and though Debbie is comfortable with undergoing a biopsy, she is "scared to death" of going under anaesthetic.
And she is said to have told doctors: "Propofol is out of the question."
In December, Debbie enjoyed a holiday with her son and daughter - who attempted suicide last June - in Hawaii, with their half-brother Blanket, 11, and their cousins Jermajesty and Jaafar Jackson also joining them on the festive break.
Debbie originally lost contact with her children after divorcing Michael in 1999, but has been getting closer to them over the last year, with the blessing of the Jackson family.

Lindsay Lohan came ‘close’ to relapse

Lindsay Lohan has came "close" to relapsing.
The troubled actress - who has been to rehab six times - loves "nightlife" and going to clubs but admits it can be difficult to resist drugs and alcohol.
She said: "I do love the nightlife and hearing loud music and laughing and having fun.
"I'm sober, but it has come very close. And it's really scary."
On last night's (30.03.14) episode of 'Lindsay', her sober coach Michael Cormier decided it was time to move on and later implied he was unsure whether she had relapsed.
Asked if she is still sober, he said: "I don't know. I'm not going to discuss whether or not Lindsay is still sober. That is between Lindsay and Lindsay. I have no hard evidence that she's not."
Elsewhere in the episode, the 'Mean Girls' star spoke of her unhappiness with her management team and agent, claiming she has to find roles for herself.
Speaking to her life coach A.J. Johnson, she said: "I feel like they just don't care.
"They have their breadwinners and I'm not that to them and they're not willing to fight for me to be that and that's where I'm left feeling alone and insecure because I can't do it [all] on my own!
"Jason [Weinberg] kind of just left me in the dust. Unless I'm like Penelope Cruz, Jason doesn't care. But I can't be Penelope Cruz unless I have Jason behind me, fighting for me...
"Every day I'm not on a film set, I'm wasting my talent!"
Lindsay claimed she got her last two roles herself, adding: "I made the calls and I researched and all they do is take a percentage."
