Ringo Starr: Paul McCartney is getting fit

Sir Paul McCartney is "getting fit" following his recent illness, according to Ringo Starr.
The 72-year-old music icon was hospitalised in Tokyo, Japan, for six nights due to a virus last month and had plenty of moral support from his former Beatles bandmate.
Ringo is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "I spoke to him while he was in hospital. He said he was doing OK. Now he is getting fight and getting ready to rock."
Paul was forced to cancel several concerts in Asia after coming down ill, but he is now recuperating on holiday in Ibiza with his wife Nancy Shevell, 53.
A source previously said: "Paul has really been through the mill. He was desperately sad he had to cancel those shows but he was really poorly. But he is on the mend which is great news."
Paul, who celebrated his 72nd birthday last week, has also postponed some of his 'Out There!' tour shows in the US but is expected to be back on stage on July 5 when he kicks off the North American leg of the worldwide jaunt.
Writing on his official website, Sir Paul said: "I'm sorry but it's going to be a few more weeks before we get rocking in America again. I'm feeling great but my docs' advice to take it easy for just a few more days. Look forward to seeing you all soon."

Simon Cowell wants more wacky X Factor acts

Simon Cowell wants more oddball singers on 'The X Factor' this year.
The talent show boss has requested producers find him several 'joke' acts to rival past fan favourites like Brazilian crooner Wagner and wacky twins Jedward in a bid to boost the ITV programme's ratings for series 11.
Simon, who is returning to the show after a three-year absence, didn't agree with his replacement head judge Gary Barlow's quest for serious singers and believes it has hurt the contest's fun factor.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: " 'The X Factor' has always thrived on its mix of good and wacky singers. But last year it got far too serious and, in turn, ratings suffered.
"Cowell has said the fun needs to be brought back into the show -- and producers have been serving up a constant stream of oddballs that viewers are going to love."
And Simon - who is joined by his loyal sidekick Louis Walsh, returning diva Cheryl Cole and new judge Mel B on this year's panel - hasn't been disappointed with the calibre of eccentric acts turning up to the auditions so far.
Highlights have included twins described as the female Jedward, a Myleene Klass lookalike and a Chinese woman who served the judges a three-course banquet.

Bobby Norris heartbroken over Harry Derbidge

Bobby Norris is "completely" heartbroken following his split from Harry Derbidge.
'The Only Way is Essex' couple hit the rocks while filming in Marbella, Spain, earlier this month and Harry - who is rumoured to have cheated on his boyfriend - flew home two days earlier than Bobby, leaving him devastated by the overseas events.
He said: "We flew to Marbella while we were in the honeymoon period but sadly, not so much now. I'm so emosh about it. I've been going, 'There's a TOWIE curse but I can beat it.' I didn't expect to be coming home 10 days later on separate flights."
Addressing the cheating rumours, Bobby added: "Rumours are rife. I've got a lot of thinking to do. I'm such a loyal boyfriend, if I don't get the same back 100 per cent, I can't hang around."
Bobby, 27, also revealed that his best friend Gemma Collins was aware of Harry's secret but kept it from him, leading to a massive argument between them.
He told new! magazine: "That was the start of everything. It got heated. She was in the middle. She basically knew more than I did.
"It looks like I'm about to throw my vodka and orange over her, but I don't throw alcohol around. I'll save that for the others. I'd much rather drink mine!"

Holly Willoughby’s baby gender secret

Holly Willoughby hasn't found out the sex of her baby.
The 'This Morning' presenter is expecting her third child with TV producer husband Dan Baldwin and she admits she has avoided temptation to find out the gender and wants to keep it a surprise.
The mum-of-two, who already has son Harry, five, and three-year-old daughter Belle, said: "I really have no idea. It's weird with your third. Having had one of each and both pregnancies having been pretty much the same, hand on heart, I really don't mind if I have a boy or girl. I'm lucky to have one of each, anyway. They're both wonderful. What will be will be."
The 33-year-old beauty, who says she's been lucky as she's not experienced any morning sickness during her latest pregnancy, is due to give birth at the end of the summer and looks forward to having a six-week break from 'This Morning' to spend time with her family.
She added: "I always have a big chunk of time off over the summer, which I guard with my life. We'll always go away somewhere for a bit but it's mainly about being at home with the kids, doing nothing and being a mum - I love it!"
In addition to welcoming their third child, Holly and Dan will celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary in August and the blonde star is grateful to have met her husband at a young age.
She added to Britain's HELLO! magazine: "I met him when I started in children's television and I'm glad I met him early on, mainly because it means I'll have longer with him."

Prince recorded rap with Rita Ora

Prince's new album features a duet with Rita Ora.
The 'Purple Rain' hitmaker gave one lucky reporter from the Minneapolis Star Tribune a preview of his as yet untitled upcoming album, which is expected to be released later this year and includes a "rare rap song" he recorded with the British pop sensation.
Prince went on to reveal he wants to release the track, described as "aggressive and menacing", as soon as possible for it to stay current because "time is money" for celebrities like Rita who could make cash "walking out of the house wearing a certain kind of makeup or sunglasses".
The record - which is a separate project from his new 3rdEyeGirl collaboration, 'Plectrum Electrum' - will begin with an electro-funk song called 'The Gold Standard', followed by a "complex electronic discourse" tune.
It also features a "joyful" ballad named 'This Could Be Us', which was inspired by a meme of him riding on a motorcycle with his 1984 movie 'Purple Rain' co-star Apollonia Kotero.
The legendary singer lamented the delay between making music and singles being released by record companies.
He said: "Every number one song, every Top 10 song, every song in the Top 40 is at least six months old. We should be able to make music and put it out now."

Nicole Appleton clears out former martial home

Nicole Appleton has cleared out the New York apartment she owns with Liam Gallagher.
The All Saints singer reportedly decided to remove all traces of the Beady Eye frontman from her life by having a giant clean up of their former martial home over the weekend.
In order to get through the day, Nicole - who was devastated when it emerged last year that Liam had fathered a love child with US writer Liza Ghorbani - invited her closest friends along for a boozy bender, including her former bandmate Melanie Blatt.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Nicole knew clearing out the flat would be hard so she invited a load of friends along, including Melanie Blatt."
The former couple's Big Apple apartment will no doubt be going up for sale shortly as they have already put their London home on the market for £4.5 million.
Nevertheless, Nicole appeared to be in good spirits as she partied the night away with her friends.
The insider added: "She hit the town and had a brilliant night with all of her mates. She was overheard seeking out where all the best parties were on.
"Nicole wanted to make the whole thing into a positive experience and leave the city with loads of good memories.
"She's been through the mill with Liam but she's in a really good place right now and has a new lease of life."
Nicole and Liam - who have 12-year-old son Gene together - were granted a speedy divorce in March within just 68 seconds of the judge assessing the case.
The former Oasis rocker admitted adultery and swiftly moved on to date his ex-manager Debbie Gwyther, who he is now living with.

Diana Ross to perform at son’s wedding

Diana Ross is set to perform at her son Evan Ross' wedding.
The Motown legend will serenade guests as her 25-year-old son ties the knot with Ashlee Simpson on the evening of August 31 in a romantic ceremony held at her own mansion in Greenwich, Connecticut.
The 70-year-old diva is going to be joined on stage by her daughter Rhonda Ross Kendrick, E! Online is reporting.
And Diana has pulled out all the stops to make the wedding an A-list affair, adding none other than Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson to the guest list and fuelling rumours of a one of a kind performance.
'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' actor Evan previously admitted The Supremes singer was taking a very hands-on role in planning his wedding.
He said: "[My mother is] involved in every part of our wedding [and] engagement party."
Evan also revealed he was so desperate to be married to Ashlee - who has a five-year-old son, Bronx, from her marriage to Fall Out Boy star Pete Wentz - that he was considering eloping.
He said: "Honestly, we could go and get married right now, wherever. We just want to be married. We're in love."

Mila Kunis relieved by role in The Third Person

Mila Kunis was relieved she didn't have to play another girl-next-door character in 'The Third Person'.
The 'Friends with Benefits' star is set to play a working mother who is fighting her ex-husband, played by James Franco, for the right to see her son after he was taken away from her in a custody battle, and she's admitted she revelled in the opportunity to take on a different kind of role.
Mila told YourTango: "I loved it. Not having to be the girl-next-door character was a relief. I think my character is incredibly sympathetic and likeable for her faults."
The 30-year-old actress - who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Ashton Kutcher - also claims that although she couldn't relate to her character's grief at losing a child, she was still able to draw on her own experiences.
She said: "I may not have had a child that I lost but I've had experiences in my life that were equivalent to that emotional depth."
Mila confessed, however, that while she puts her all into her character's while on set, she doesn't dwell on the emotional scenes once she gets home.
She explained: "I'm more like, 'Hey, what's for lunch?' I live it for the 20 minutes I'm on set that I need to live it.
"I feel like if I did a good job, and I'm emotionally drained at the end of the day, I don't want to keep living it. I want to have a glass of wine and go to bed."

Rupert Grint wants invisibility cloak

Rupert Grint wishes he could wear an "invisibility cloak" at music festivals.
The 'Harry Potter' actor has joked he would like to use some of the magic accessories from the wizard series to allow him to walk around without being recognised and mobbed in public.
He admitted: "I've sometimes has a bit of trouble at music festivals. It's usually fine, but if you're in a massive crowd of drunken people and one of them suddenly spots you, it gets hard to move around.
"Sometimes you want a bit of invisibility. Perhaps I should wear an invisibility cloak - that would be handy! But I have actually experimented with disguises.
"Once I wore a horse's head disguise for an entire festival. It wasn't comfortable, and I got quite claustrophobic, but it really worked. It was quite liberating. I felt completely free!"
However, the 25-year-old star insisted he doesn't mind being approached in public and enjoys meeting his fans - particularly because he feels he owes his success to them.
He added to Independent Radar magazine: "'Bloody hell, Harry!' is something people say a lot! The attention has never bothered me too much. It's part of it and I'm used to it. It's quite manageable.
"It's just friendly people coming up to you. It's not anything crazy. And those people are the ones buying cinema tickets. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be where I am today."

Jessica Simpson fears wedding row

Jessica Simpson is reportedly terrified her parents will get into a fight at her wedding.
The 33-year-old star is set to marry fiancé Eric Johnson in Santa Barbara, California next month, but is worried her father, Joe Simpson, and mother, Tina Simpson, who divorced last year after 34 years of marriage, will ruin her special day as they're barely on speaking terms.
A source said: "Jessica's so worried that they'll cause a scene.
"She feels like everywhere she turns, someone or something is conspiring against her. She's a total wreck right now."
Former NFL star Eric is desperate for his future wife to relax and enjoy the festivities.
The insider told In Touch weekly magazine: "He tells her to relax, but she's scared her wedding will be a train wreck. She just can't deal with it anymore.
"She's waited so long to officially call Eric her husband. She just wants her wedding day to be perfect."
It was previously revealed that Jessica - who has children Maxwell, two, and Ace, 11 months, with Eric - has asked her parents to play key roles in the wedding, with Joe giving her away and Tina as one of her bridesmaids.

Nicki Minaj collaborated with Drake for new album

Nicki Minaj has collaborated with Drake for her new album 'The Pink Print'.
The 'Pills N Potions' hitmaker has confirmed there will "definitely" be a track with Drake on the upcoming record because she loves his music.
She told Capital Xtra: "I'm a massive fan of [Drake], that's my baby. And I hope and pray we'll have [a collaboration] on there. I think that we'll definitely have one on there.
"We're supposed to meet up this week to get some stuff crack-a-ling in the studio. I think there'll be another feature on the album that will blow people away. I'm super excited about that, too, but it's obviously a secret!"
Nicki has released the track 'Pills N Potions' as her lead single from the album, with a stripped back video featuring rapper The Game, who she claims was "dope" to work with.
She said: "He came really last minute we reached out to him and he came right away. I think he was in the studio at the time.
"I wanted a guy for the video, and the producers booked two rappers that I didn't think really fit ... It was my idea to reach out to The Game, I knew he lived in L.A I had never hung out with him before in my life."
The stunning brunette recalled a comment he'd left on Instagram and decided to track him down.
She said: "Me and my girlfriend were just there laughing. And I thought, 'You know what, let's see if he can come by. And he was able to come!"
'The Pink Print' is set for release later this year.
