Prince George to take first royal duty

Britain's Prince George will take part in his first royal engagement tomorrow (09.04.14).
The eight-month-old prince will join his parents Prince William and Duchess Catherine at a parent and baby coffee group at Government House in Wellington, New Zealand, and the 10 families who will share time with the family during the session are very excited.
Ingrid and David Alve were stunned when senior Plunket nurse Tina Symes invited them to the event with their eight-month-old daughter Eden.
Ingrid said: "We were quite surprised - delighted obviously - but it was a bit surreal, a tiny corner of the country and they called us."
And Eden will be taking along her toy bunny rabbit, which they named George in honour of the prince.
David told the New Zealand Herald newspaper: "Hopefully George will play with it."
Another parent, Kate Bainbridge, will take along her eight-month-old daughter Sophie and admitted some of her friends were "jealous" of their invitation.
She said: "I've had a few jealous looks from other parents when they found out we were meeting the duke and duchess.
"Even though we come from a very different background we have got a lot in common with the duke and duchess because we've been through the sleepless nights and we can talk to them about our experiences.
"We are all first-time parents, like them, so it should be quite easy to chat to them."
Ms. Symes was tasked with choosing the families to join the session and selected babies born in July, the same as George, in an even split of genders and a range of backgrounds to reflect the community.
Tristine Clark, New Zealand president of Plunket, said: "The parents are a spread of all the communities in New Zealand, including Maoris, Samoans, people of Chinese descent and gay couples.
"This is a very multi-cultural country and we wanted the Duke and Duchess to meet people from all backgrounds."

Kim Kardashian’s Vogue flies off shelves

Kim Kardashian's controversial Vogue cover is flying off the shelves.
While the fashion bible has been criticised by some - including actress Sarah Michelle Gellar - for putting the reality TV star on its April 2014 cover, along with her rapper fiancé Kanye West, the issue is selling "on par" with best-selling past editions featuring Beyonce and US First Lady Michelle Obama.
According to the New York Post newspaper, the issue is expected to sell between 300,000 and 400,000 copies.
Meanwhile, Beyonce's March 2013 cover sold around 355,000 copies, and a cover starring Michelle sold just under 300,000 copies in April 2013.
However, a spokesperson for Vogue says the magazine "never comments on sales figures".
Vogue has come under fire from some subscribers for featuring Kanye, 36, and Kim, 33, in a wedding-themed cover shoot for its latest issue, with 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' star Sarah, 37, boldly claiming she would cancel her subscription.
She wrote on Twitter: "Well......I guess I'm cancelling my Vogue subscription. Who is with me??? (sic)"
But esteemed Vogue editor Anna Wintour has defended her decision to feature Kim on the cover.
She wrote in her editor's letter: "Kanye is an amazing performer and cultural provocateur, while Kim, through her strength of character, has created a place for herself in the glare of the world's spotlight, and it takes real guts to do that. I think we can all agree on the fact that that role is currently being played by Kim and Kanye to a T. (Or perhaps that should be to a K?)."

Victoria Beckham to become AIDS charity ambassador

Victoria Beckham is planning to become an ambassador for an AIDS charity.
The former Spice Girls singer will work with the United Nations as a goodwill ambassador for their UNAIDS campaign after being inspired by a recent trip to South Africa, where she met with children stricken by the deadly disease.
A friend of the star told The Sun newspaper: "She wants to give back by doing what she can."
The fashion designer - who has children Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 11, Cruz, nine, and two-year-old Harper with her spouse - visited Cape Town in February as part of the Born Free initiative, which tackles the issue of HIV being transmitted from mothers to their children.
Victoria - who turns 40 next week - and her husband are no strangers to charitable endeavours and last year donated thousands of pounds worth of designer clothes to their local Red Cross charity shop in west London, sparking lengthy queues as fans rushed to get their hands on a bargain.
And their generosity has been passed down to their children, with their eldest son opting to save his allowance in order to buy Thanksgiving gifts for homeless people.
A source previously said: ''Brooklyn told his mum and dad that he didn't want to receive presents for Thanksgiving this year. He said instead he'd like to donate them to people who need them more.
''Brooklyn asked one of the family bodyguards to take him to a Rite Aid store in Los Angeles so he could buy some first-aid kits to put in the charity parcels.''

Miranda Kerr ‘lucky’ to have Orlando Bloom

Miranda Kerr feels "really lucky" to have Orlando Bloom still in her life.
The Australian model split from the 'Lord of the Rings' star last October after three years of marriage and she thinks separating was for the best for their three-year-old son Flynn.
Speaking on 'Good Morning America', she said: "I think it's really important to have two happy parents. He's really happy and I'm happy.
"He's a great dad. I'm really lucky to have him in my life."
The 30-year-old beauty also spoke about the pressure of body image after giving birth, insisting she readily accepted the fact her shape would change completely after carrying a child.
She said: "I had to surrender completely to the fact that maybe my body would never get back into shape and I was fine with that."
Orlando, 37, recently admitted he and Miranda, 30, felt it was important they continue to get along and "respect" one another for the sake of their son, and believes there will always be a "deep love" between them.
He said: "It's ever evolving, but I've said to her, 'We're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives and we have a child, so it's important to me that we respect each other as we always have and that Flynn feels that and understands that.' There's a deep love between us."

Kelly Brook and David McIntosh to film wedding show

Kelly Brook and her fiance David McIntosh are in talks to film a wedding reality show.
The 34-year-old model and the former 'Gladiators' star - who got engaged last month, after just 12 weeks of dating - are in early negotiations for a fly-on-the-wall documentary series that would track the preparations for their big day.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "It's early days but Kelly and David have started talks about some sort of series that will be filmed in the build-up to their wedding.
"They both think it could make a funny, entertaining show and could also pocket them a few quid."
David is particularly keen to further his TV career and has even spoken to the brunette beauty about possibly making an appearance on 'Big Brother'.
The source added: "David loves the limelight and will do anything to stay famous.
"He's already been looking into getting on Big Brother and Kelly is right behind him on the idea."
It is believed Kelly bought her own ring after 27-year-old David, nicknamed Tornado, "forgot" to produce one when he popped the question.
Kelly shared a picture of an 'engaged' balloon on her Instagram account to announce the news, taken during a visit to David's family in Wigan, North West England, recently.
She wrote: "Lovely weekend in Wigan meeting my new extended Family. Such happy times and excited to share my life with the most wonderful man I've ever met."

Claudia Winkleman to land Strictly job

Claudia Winkleman is set to be the new 'Strictly Come Dancing' presenter.
The 42-year-old presenter is "first choice" to take over from Sir Bruce Forsyth - who announced his departure from the show last week - after impressing bosses on the celebrity dance contest with her and co-host Tess Daly's "chemistry" on the Sunday evening results show.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "They are certainly the first choices. Detailed discussions will start shortly and it is hoped everything can be sorted out."
However, 44-year-old Tess - who signed a new two-year deal with the programme last year - is keen to take on Bruce's role on the show, which would see her introduce the contestants and chat to the judges for their feedback after the performances
This would allow Claudia to step up into Tess' role and interview the contestants for their reaction to their performances and subsequent scores.
If Claudia signs on for the show, she and Tess will be the first-ever female duo to front a prime-time Saturday evening programme.
The brunette star has been involved with 'Strictly' since 2004 when she fronted 'Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two' to coincide with the second series of the main show.
In 2010, she took over from Bruce as co-host of the Sunday night results show.
If Claudia doesn't agree a deal with BBC bosses, talk show host Graham Norton, dancer Anton du Beke and actor John Barrowman are also in the frame for the role.

Peter Mayhew returning to Star Wars

Peter Mayhew is set to return as Chewbacca in 'Star Wars: Episode VII'.
The 69-year-old actor portrayed the hairy beast in the original 'Star Wars' trilogy, and 'Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith', as well as other spin-off projects and is now expected to reprise the role in the forthcoming new installment, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
There has yet to be an official announcement about Mayhew's return, but he has cancelled a planned convention appearance in May due to "filming commitments", and though the 'Episode VII' has begun shooting already, it was officially announced as beginning next month and running for a lengthy period.
Studio bosses had also promised the return of "familiar faces" to the franchise.
Director J.J. Abrams has been trying to keep the names of his cast under wraps, but the eagerly-awaited movie is said to be starring 'Girls' actor Adam Driver as the villain, with up-and-coming stars Ed Speleers, John Boyega, Jesse Plemons, Matthew James Thomas and Ray Fisher all being considered for the lead role.
Lupita Nyong'o has also met with Abrams to discuss taking on a female lead in the upcoming sequel after taking Hollywood by storm last year with her impressive performance in Steve McQueen's Oscar-winning '12 Years A Slave'.
'Episode VII', which is set 30 years after 'Return Of The Jedi', will be released on December 18, 2015.

Robbie Williams to sing with dad

Robbie Williams' dad is joining him on tour.
The 'Candy' hitmaker has been secretly rehearsing with club singer Pete Conway, as the pair are planning to perform a Frank Sinatra song at his 17 UK concerts in June and July.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Robbie's dad has already been fitted out for his tour tuxedos and is thrilled to get the chance to sing with his son."
Pete - who performed with Robbie at his one-off London Palladium show last November - recently hinted he was planning something with his superstar son.
He said: "I loved doing the Palladium with him. It was great. I really enjoyed it.
"We're going to do something together soon. It will be announced shortly - I just don't know all the details yet."
And the 'Angels' singer - who has 18-month-old daughter Theodora 'Teddy' Rose with wife Ayda Field - later admitted he was thrilled to get on stage with his 64-year-old dad.
He said: "Music has always been what connects us, well, that and family. So I was thrilled to see how much the audience loved him too.
"From being a kid, Dad's been my idol and I wouldn't have all this success if it wasn't for what I've learned from him."
Robbie, 40, performed at his dad's wedding to Melanie Mills last May, two years after Pete sang for his famous son and actress Ayda when they wed.

Simon Cowell doesn’t want ‘celebrity judge’ on X Factor

Simon Cowell wants an 'X Factor' judge who isn't out to promote their own record.
The music mogul will return to the judging panel alongside Cheryl Cole in this year's singing contest and although there is still a question of who will join them, Simon insists he wants someone who is focussed on finding new talent.
The 54-year-old star said: "It's so not decided yet. As always with us, everything is up in the air, but we have to find four people by the time we start filming. There is a tendency to hire what I call 'celebrity judges' and, actually, what I'm looking for is someone who can really do the job.
"If you're mentoring an artist for 10 or 11 weeks, you have to turn that person from a good artist to a great artist by the end of the year.
"There is something out of kilter at the moment - it's almost like all these judges are out promoting their own records and forgetting what they're there for, which is to discover more talent.
"So I've got to find people who actually want to do the job rather than 'I've got a record coming out'. "
He also wants to rediscover the spark 'The X Factor' had in 2010 and find the same kind of talent they had in the seventh series which starred winner Matt Cardle and boy band One Direction.
He explained to Britain's HELLO! magazine: "If we can go back to where we left the show in 2010, that was probably my favourite ever series of any show I've ever been on.
"It was just a brilliant year with Matt Cardle, Rebecca Ferguson, One Direction, Cher Lloyd. Great talent and they all went on to be successful."

Simon Cowell: I was depressed

Simon Cowell has admitted suffering from depression.
The 'X Factor' boss - who has eight-week-old son Eric with girlfriend Lauren Silverman - began going "a bit nuts" last year as his long working hours and life alone began to take its toll on him.
He admitted: "Did a doctor say I was depressed? Yeah. I mean I knew it myself.
"You are always looking for the next high from the show and then actually if you haven't got anyone to share it with per se, or if you haven't got a family around you, you can go a bit nuts."
The 54-year-old media mogul admits he "regrets" embarking on a relationship with Lauren while she was still married to his friend Andrew Silverman but is happy that they have gone on and had a child together.
He said in an interview: "I regret that part. But then of course you have a baby and you look at the baby and you kinda go 'this is what happened from it'.
"In this situation you are not going to come out of this well because of the circumstances.
"It is not something I am proud of or wanted to happen in terms of hurting anyone. It just happened.
"You have to deal with it and man up to it. You have to accept the responsibility and the criticism.
"All I can say is, my advice to you is if it happens to you, you just have to deal with it a day at a time and own up to your responsibilities."
Simon's life has changed in the last year, and he thinks having family responsibilities has also helped his career as he is more "focused" and less "weird".
He added: "My life has changed, but I am probably more focused on what I am doing now than I was a year ago.
"Maybe because it puts things in perspective having two people in my life who I am responsible for.
"There were times last year when I would live in two rooms, y'know kitchen and bedroom in your house.
"It is a weird existence when you live on your own. On the phone all night, blah blah blah.
"Now the house is full of people, it has become a home rather than a house."

Jessie J: Bisexuality was a ‘phase’

Jessie J claims being bisexual was a "phase".
The 'Do It Like a Dude' hitmaker previously confessed to being attracted to both men and women, but says she now has no interest in finding a female partner.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "For me, it was a phase. But I'm not saying bisexuality is a phase for everybody.
"I did talk about it, and I was open about it, and I do support being lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender - love who you want. That's what I'm doing.
The 26-year-old singer now wants to find a husband to settle down with, but admits it is a "struggle" to find the right guy.
She added: "I don't regret anything I ever said, but I never knew back then that whatever I said became a fact that I couldn't change. I'm just so bored of it, and that's kind of it - I want to stop talking about it completely now and find myself a husband.
"It's a true struggle. All the chick flicks that didn't make sense to me, I now understand - 'Sex and the City' is real!"
But despite her comments, Jessie doesn't want to label her sexuality.
She said: "I'm not anything. I'm aware of who I want to be and I want to marry a man. That's it."

Kimberley Walsh will marry after baby’s born

Kimberley Walsh doesn't want to be a pregnant bride.
The 32-year-old star is four months pregnant with her first child with her boyfriend of 10 years Justin Scott, and she's admitted that although she will marry him "eventually" it won't be before she gives birth.
Speaking to new! magazine, she said: "I don't want to be a pregnant bride. It'll be after the baby, but there's no rush. It'll be when we feel ready."
The former Girls Aloud singer - whose ex-bandmates are Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts - also revealed only Justin will be in allowed in the delivery room with her on the big day.
Quizzed on whether her mother would also be present throughout the labour, she said: "I don't think so. I think it'll be a nice moment for Justin and me to share. He wasn't at the birth of his daughter so I think he deserves to have this moment on his own. But I'd like my mum to be at the hospital.
"Cheryl is more likely to want to be in the room than my mum! She said she's going to be at the hospital, but I told her she isn't coming into the delivery room."
