Ariana Grande says she is nothing like Miley Cyrus.
The two girls followed a similar path - the 'Problem' singer starting on Nickelodeon show 'Victorious' while the 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker starred in 'Hannah Montana' before turning to music - but the former has insisted the "comparisons" should end there.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: "There are so many comparisons for girls in this industry it's annoying.
"I'm not thinking: 'Miley Cyrus is doing this so I ought to do this too.'
"We are all trying to do our own things and be successful in our own right."
However Ariana, 21, is still keen to shed her baby image and "showcase" her maturity and growth in a live environment, while she also admitted fame meant she was more restricted than she was in the past.
She added: "I'm always excited by people evolving, changing and growing up.
"I just get to showcase it on stage ... In the past month things have changed drastically in my life. I can't go out with a little bun on my head and no make-up any more."
Roni Size says it is a "big moment" to be releasing new music again.
The producer and DJ - who made is name as part of Reprazent - will be bringing out several new records this year, and he is excited to get out there for the first time since 2004's 'Return To V'.
He said: "Coming back with new music is a big moment for me. Life's moved on - my kids are going through university.
"Music - and particularly electronic music - has changed and there are people out there who don't know who I am; I've never rested on reputation so I've had to re-evaluate, up sticks and develop a new sound again."
As well as a solo EP ('Size Matters') and his new full-length album 'Take Kontrol', Roni also promised Raprazent fans that the drum and bass outfit are due to release a new record in 2015, and tours are planned for later this year.
He added: "That's where we are now. I'm living between Bristol and London, where I'm working out of Metropolis Studios finishing both albums.
"Reprazent and I will be touring this year and we can't wait to get out on the road again."
Paramore's Hayley Williams still feels "uncomfortable" being a frontwoman.
The star has been the lead singer in the 'Ain't It Fun' rockers since they formed in 2004, but even a decade later she finds herself struggling with the attention being on her rather than the rest of the group.
She told Rolling Stone magazine: "I'm still surprised when I feel uncomfortable with it after 10 years.
"It's funny when I feel left out, or in the cold, and everyone's focusing on me. Onstage, it's so much about the music that I feel comfortable.
"But being the frontwoman is not an easy job, it's something I'm really proud to be getting better at; performing really well, singing really well and speaking to the crowd - that's the part I'm most nervous about, like "What do I say that makes me sound cool?" - but also trying to keep it the same way that it felt when we were in clubs."
Although Hayley might be seen as the face of Paramore - which is completed by Taylor York and Jeremy Davis - but the public perception is something she struggles to accept or change.
Asked whether being the focus is an issue, she said: "You know, it depends.
"[Sometimes] we do TV spots, interviews, and we spend tons of time talking and you think that it feels very evenly spread out, you think that it feels deep and the questions are nice, and then it gets edited and then it's just you, and it's just asking about your hair.
"That's the stuff that I get uncomfortable with."
David Beckham, George Michael and Sir Michael Caine have reportedly been involved in a tax avoidance schemes.
The 51-year-old singer and 81-year-old Academy Award-winner - have allegedly been sheltering their money in the Liberty tax strategy which generates large artificial losses offshore and allows them to avoid tax on other income.
According to a secret database that was leaked to The Times newspapers, George and Michael as well as top businessmen, lawyers and NHS doctors have all sought to save money by using the scheme.
The WHAM! star is believed to have paid Mercury Tax Group, the Leeds based company that ran the scheme, £443,000 to shelter £6.2 million in record and tour sales.
George's publicist has since said the singer's "busy schedule" has left him unable to comment on the claims.
Meanwhile, 'Zulu' actor Michael is also believed to have used Liberty to shelter at least £600,000 according to the Mercury Tax Group's secret documents.
A spokesman for the actor told The Times newspaper: 'We have no comment to make for or on behalf of Michael Caine.'
Other celebrities on the incriminating list include Arctic Monkeys band members Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Nick O'Malley and Matt Helders - who each paid between £38,000 and £84,000 in fees to shelter between £557,000 and £1.1 million.
Singer Katie Melua also allegedly paid £500,000 into the scheme in 2008.
Meanwhile, David and Victoria Beckham, as well as England soccer captain Steven Gerrard and TV presenters Ant and Dec, are said to have been investing in Ingenious Media - a movie investment company that is being investigated by HM Revenue and Customs over tax avoidance allegations.
A tribunal, starting in November, is set to decide whether the scheme is a legitimate investment.
The company has already written to 1,300 past and present investors to warn them of "accelerated payment notices" if the investigation is successful.
The news follows revelations earlier this year that members of 'Take That' - including Gary Barlow, who is also mentioned on the newly released Liberty database - had been tricked into investing into a tax avoidance system.
The 'Let Me Go' singer and his bandmates Howard Donald and Mark Owen are believed to have invested £66 million in an investment scheme in a bid to avoid a huge tax bill - although a tax expert has since insisted that they could simply have been being "naïve".
Rebus Group tax scheme expert Martin Taylor told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "The alarm bells were already ringing by the time they invested.
"It's a complete mess for those caught up in it. There's no doubt it will hit their image. These are complex issues.
"People are naive and listen to their advisers. They can be victims, not just villains."
Britain's Prince Harry has been invited to a Peter Andre concert.
The flame-haired royal has been asked to see the 'Mysterious Girl' singer live by comic David Walliams, but it's not known if Harry has taken him up on the offer.
A giggly David was spotted handing a flyer for the concert to Harry, 29, during a charity event at London's Royal Albert Hall last night (08.07.14).
The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge hosted the event, which was also attended by Prince Charles, 65, and Prince William, 32.
A gleeful David wrote on Twitter: "I just met Prince Harry and asked him if he wanted to come to see @MrPeterAndre in concert with me."
He added to Mail Online: "Harry is a fan. Apparently."
The royal trio also posed with the Military Wives choir for photographs at the Responsible Business Awards dinner, which was organised by Princes Charles' Business in the Community foundation.
The heir to the throne quipped how he was delighted that his sons had finally taken an interest in the charity, which encourages big businesses to support their local communities.
He joked: "Perhaps curiosity has finally got the better of them?"
Duncan Bannatyne has quit 'Dragons' Den'.
The 65-year-old health club mogul has announced he is to leave the hit BBC Two programme after 12 series to concentrate on "other business commitments".
He said in a statement: "I have had the time of my life as a Dragon, I have made numerous investments and taken part in a landmark TV programme that has promoted entrepreneurship to an entire generation of Britons.
"However, after the 2014 recordings I do not plan to make any further investments on the programme so I thought it fair to ask producers to offer my seat to somebody else. There are only so many times I can say 'I'm out'."
Duncan will bow out of the show after the upcoming 12th series, which will begin later this month.
He added: "The series that is about to be transmitted is my final season and I'm delighted that it is full of exciting, high quality pitches. I have made a number of investments and it really is must-see business TV."
The businessman's departure leaves Peter Jones as the only original Dragon left on the panel.
Duncan has made an estimated £2 million worth of investments during his time on the show.
Leonardo DiCaprio is to host a charity fundraiser in St. Tropez.
The 'Wolf of Wall Street' actor will stage the inaugural Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation St. Tropez Gala on July 23 to support environmental causes, and the event is set to be one of the "most glamorous, talked-about and exclusive events of the summer".
According to the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column, an email asking people to buy tickets read: "By attending and supporting this event you will not only be part of what will without a doubt be the most glamorous, talked-about and exclusive events of the summer, but even more importantly, your support will go directly to saving the earth."
The event will be held at rosé winery Domaine Bertaud Belieu.
Last month the generous star pledged $7 million for ocean conservation after speaking at the State Department's Our Ocean Conference in Washington to decry "the Wild West on the high seas".
He said: "[I'm] here as a concerned citizen of this planet who believes this is the most important issue of our time.
"What we need is sustained activism and courageous political leadership. We cannot afford to be bystanders in this pre-apocalyptic scenario."
The 39-year-old actor went on to speak of his sadness in the changes he has seen to Australia's Great Barrier Reef in recent years.
He said: "Since my very first dive in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia 20 years ago to the dive I got to do in the very same location just two years ago, I've witnessed environmental devastation firsthand.
"What once had looked like an endless underwater utopia is now riddled with bleached coral reefs and massive dead zones."
Courtney Love has been cast as a pre-school teacher in 'Sons of Anarchy'.
The Hole rocker will made her television debut in the seventh and final season of the FX drama series as part of what has been described as a "pivotal story arc".
The 49-year-old singer - who previously won critical acclaim for her work on movies 'The People Vs. Larry Flint' and 'Man on the Moon' - will make her debut as the teacher of Abel, Jackson 'Jax' Teller's oldest son, in the fourth episode of the new series, TVLine reports.
Courtney is joined in the new series by fellow rock star Marilyn Manson - with who she was previously involved in a war of words - who will play a "prison power player".
The 'Dope Show' hitmaker previously spoke of his delight at landing a role on the show because it is a favourite of both his and his father.
He said: "'Sons' has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father's. So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of 'SOA' is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle."
Courtney and Manson fell out in 1999 when Hole supported his band on tour and both singers regularly dissed one another on stage, leading to the show openers eventually dropping off the line-up.
Amal Alamuddin's mother gets on "brilliantly" with George Clooney.
The lawyer's mum Baria Alamuddin has hit back at rumours she disapproves of her daughter's A-list fiancé, revealing that her family have welcomed George with open arms and there are no tensions whatsoever.
According to The Sun newspaper, she said: "We are all absolutely fine and there are not problems or tensions at all concerning George and Amal. Our families get on brilliantly."
It was recently reported that Baria wanted Amal, who was born into strict Lebanese religious sect in Beirut, to wed a Druze muslim and believes her daughter can find someone "better" than the 53-year-old Hollywood actor.
Baria appears to have quashed the claims once and for all, however, since she was speaking from Italy, where she is holidaying with the Clooney family.
Meanwhile, George himself has hit back at the paper that published the "completely fabricated" original story, criticising the "irresponsibility" of their report.
In a statement on USA Today, he wrote: "First of all, none of the story is factually true. Amal's mother is not Druze. She has not been to Beirut since Amal and I have been dating, and she is in no way against the marriage - but none of that is the issue ...
"But this lie involves larger issues. The irresponsibility, in this day and age, to exploit religious differences where none exist, is at the very least negligent and more appropriately dangerous.
"We have family members all over the world, and the idea that someone would inflame any part of that world for the sole reason of selling papers should be criminal."
The couple, who got engaged earlier this year, are expected to get married in September near Lake Como in Italy after spending the last month searching for potential venues for their nuptials.
Daniel Radcliffe has ruled out a 'Harry Potter' film based on J.K. Rowling's new short story.
The 24-year-old star - who played the boy wizard in all eight blockbuster films - says the author's 1,500-word story, which features a 34 year old Harry attending the 2014 Quidditch World Cup, is unlikely to be adapted for the big screen.
Speaking to reporters yesterday, he's quoted by The Hollywood Reporter as saying: "My inclination is to say 'no' because I don't think it's even a hypothetical at the moment. What she's written -- and I haven't read yet but I will -- I understand it's a very short piece. And he's 12 years older than I am now."
Rowling's story offers an update into the lives of Harry and his magical pals Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, seven years after the final book was released.
Harry is described as showing "threads of silver" in his famous black hair and he has also developed a "nasty cut over his right cheekbone" to go along with the famous lightning bolt scar on his forehead.
The piece is written as a dispatch from journalist Rita Skeeter - who features in the books as a writer for the Daily Prophet - and even alludes to marital troubles between Harry and his wife Ginny Potter, nee Weasley.
Naughty Boy is helping Zayn Malik become a "great songwriter".
The 'La La La' hitmaker has revealed he has been working closely with the One Direction heartthrob in the recording studio and is nurturing him to write tracks for the best-selling band's new album.
Appearing on Capital FM, he said: "I'm encouraging him to be a great songwriter.
"We've done something that might be a One Direction single - me and Emeli Sandé wrote it, and Zayn wrote on it too.
"It does sound like them, but it sounds like the natural next them.
"They are all becoming their own unique person, so that's when you get the best songs."
In addition to Zayn, 21, bandmate Harry Styles has been flexing his musical muscles by writing tracks for One Direction and other artists.
The curly-haired star recently penned a track for Ariana Grande's new album after they met in the studio.
She said: "I was at the studio one day and he was there, and literally, [songwriters] Johan [Carlsson] and Savan [Kotecha] were like, 'Hey, do you want to write something for Ariana?' And he was like, 'Sure, mate.' And he just did.
"It's a beautiful song. He's an amazing writer. It's really beautiful. He's amazingly talented."
Ollie Locke has replaced Katie Price's cheating husband Kieran Hayler in a strip group.
The former 'Made In Chelsea' star joined the all-male troupe Adonis Cabaret after Kieran left the group following revelations he had been unfaithful to his pregnant wife Katie, 36.
He told Heat magazine: "I'm really excited. They approached me about getting up on stage and being camp and ridiculous, like I am, so it's worked out quite nicely.
"I'm hosting the shows, not stripping, but I think most nights I'm going to end up in a gold thong."
The 27-year-old - who left the hit reality show last August - admitted he doesn't think he has a good body and has been inspired to get into shape by the strip group
However, while they been his inspiration, he won't be taking his fitness regime to a similar extreme.
He explained: "It's weird. I'm always naked [on photo shoots], and my body's not even good. My willy won't be out though.
"They've inspired me, and I'd love to look like them. But these guys have real dedication. And, actually, if I looked like that, it would be ridiculous."
