Collabro's Jamie Lambert has come out as gay.
The 25-year-old singer - who is one fifth of the 'Britain's Got Talent' winning boy band - has admitted he has always known he was homosexual and he would have revealed his sexuality sooner but he didn't think it was a big deal.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, he explained: "No one asked - I have nothing to hide from anybody. I think it's really important that all gay people in the public eye just talk about it. The more that it happens the more normal it becomes.
"I remember when Stephen Gately (from boy band Boyzone) came out and it was a really massive deal. But I think nowadays it's about being comfortable in your own skin and comfortable with who you fall in love with.
"It doesn't make a difference whether it's with a man or a woman."
Jamie has never had a relationship with a woman but has had a committed romance with another guy who he met when he was a student.
He said: "I've never been with a woman. One day I met a guy at university who I ended up in a two-and-a-half year relationship with."
As the winners of 'Britain's Got Talent', Collabro have just landed a record deal with Simon Cowell's label Syco but as their fame rises, Jamie is hopeful that he won't become known as "the gay one" of the group.
He said: "It's only an aspect of me, just like it's only an aspect of these guys who are straight. It's not all of who I am. I would hate for people to see me as 'the gay one', rather than the one who sings that line."

Sam Faiers wants her and her sister Billie to star in their own makeover show.
Sam thinks she and her fellow 'TOWIE' star sibling - who gave birth to her first child, a baby girl, with fiancé Greg Shepherd last Thursday (10.07.14) - would be perfect to front a TV series helping woman overhaul their style.
Sam is confident she and Billie could become the new Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine, the fashion expert duo famous for their shows 'What Not To Wear' and 'Trinny and Susannah Undress'.
Sam, 23, told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'd love to be a female Gok Wan. When I started our boutique three years ago I knew nothing about fashion and now I know a lot.
"Billie and I could be the new Trinny and Susannah, that'd be amazing."
Just as she's thinking about her TV future, Sam has also started thinking about what she wants her boyfriend Joey Essex to buy her for Christmas.
She added: "I think I'd like a puppy for Christmas, I really like sausage dogs. I've always wanted a pet, but always been busy, so now would be great."

TV life coaches Nik and Eva Speakman are set to become contestants on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'
Bosses want the couple - who have their own ITV show 'The Speakmans' on which the psychotherapists help people overcome various disorders - to join the other campmates so they can be on hand to help any stars with phobias beat their fears.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "The Speakmans have the power to make life heaven or hell for the stars. If someone is a big scaredy cat and keeps being punished by viewers, they might feel pity for them and help cure their phobias.
"But if they can't stand the star, they could just refuse and let them suffer. It will also test their powers in front on millions."
As well their TV show, Nik and Eva are regulars on 'This Morning' and even helped presenter Holly Willoughby overcome her fear of the supernatural.
They also worked with Kerry Katona to help her beat her bipolar disorder by using unorthodox treatments such as "crazy games", "mad music" and playing with a skeleton who they named 'Mr. Bones'.
'I'm A Celebrity...' - presented by Ant and Dec - is set to returns to screens later this year.

Lea Michele visited a spa on the anniversary of Cory Monteith's death.
The 'Glee' actress didn't want to be in Los Angeles - where she was given the news her boyfriend had died from an alcohol and drug overdose last July - for the actor's memorial day, so was taken to the San Ysidro Ranch spa in Montecito, California, by a group of girlfriends and her new boyfriend Matthew Paetz.
A source told E! Online: "She was in Los Angeles when she got the news that Cory died. So she was not going to stay in LA over his anniversary."
While the insider said Lea and her friends had a "great time" relaxing and hanging out, the brunette beauty also found the time to remember her former lover on twitter.
The 27-year-old actress posted an old photograph of the Canadian actor, in which he is smiling on a beach, on the social media site, and wrote: "We hold you in our hearts today, and every day we remember your smile. We will love you and miss you always."
Lea's co-stars also remembered Cory on their social media profiles.
Matthew Morrison tweeted: "I personally believe Cory was reborn into some other beautiful form a year ago today. I celebrate him and his life... Wherever that may be."
'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy simply tweeted: "Miss you."
Actor Kevin McHale posted: "It's been 1 whole year & it's still so surreal, but today is just a reminder of how damn great you were and how much you mean to us all"
While Harry Shum Jr. tweeted: "I often think of the good memories I shared with Cory and it makes me smile. He was a one of a kind gentleman and will forever be missed."

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson looked "so in love" on their honeymoon.
The couple - who tied the knot on 4 July - spent a week in the presidential suite at the luxurious Four Seasons Punta Mita Resort in Mexico, and spent much of their vacation at the secluded hotel relaxing by the pool and on the beach.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "They had an amazing time and looked so in love during the entire visit.
"They enjoyed cocktails by the pool and spent a lot of time on the beach, just relaxing after their big day."
Despite the resort boasting first-class spa facilities, the newlyweds chose not to visit, preferring their "natural surroundings".
The source added: "They just let the natural surroundings put them at peace.
"They [were] lounging around at the resort, and enjoying their first week together as husband and wife."
During her honeymoon, Jessica - who has daughter Maxwell, two, and son Ace, 13 months, with Eric - celebrated turning 34 and marked the occasion with a social media posting of herself relaxing in the resort.
She wrote: "And the sun sets on 33."

Gwen Stefani will be advised by Gavin Rossdale on 'The Voice USA'.
The No Doubt singer has enlisted her husband - with who she has sons Kingston, eight, Zuma, five, and four-month-old Apollo - to help her in the second stage of the competition and she thinks he has already proved himself to be the right man for the job.
She said: "He is super articulate and he has a really good opinion and he is smart and he's been doing a really good job.
"We both have, I think, a lot of experience in the sense that when you look back at all the shows and all the things we've done - and I mean, we all met like touring together and doing hundreds of shows - and it's so fun to be in the position to meet [all of the contestants]."
Meanwhile, Gavin is enjoying the experience but admits he feels a lot of "pressure".
He said: "It's a lot of pressure! These people like, I press my button because I thought they sounded good, and then I fight for them. You are in the moment and then they choose you, and it's like wow, that's their whole life right this moment! So I felt really responsible."
And the Bush frontman thinks the key thing he needs to do is help Gwen be the best she can be.
He added to 'Access Hollywood': "The main thing, from my perspective, is just to make sure that Gwen is so good and excellent like all the other judges on the show.
"It's just sort of to not interrupt and to normally let her speak, let her do her thing and I'm just like a side thing."

Kerry Katona wants more children.
The former Atomic Kitten star - who has a three month old daughter, Dylan-Jorge, with her fiancé George Kay - is keen to add more kids to her brood with her future husband.
When asked if she wanted to have more children, Kerry - who also has Molly, 12 and Lily-Sue, 11, with her first husband, former Westlife star Brian McFadden and Heidi, seven, and Max, six, with her ex-spouse Mark Croft - told New! magazine:"Yeah. George would have another one tomorrow."
Kerry also joked that her five children often leave her feeling like orphanage supervisor Miss Hannigan in the classic musical 'Annie'.
She said: "Don't get me wrong. We have our moments. There's seven of us!
"I feel like Miss Hannigan from 'Annie' sometimes, I've got that many kids. It's just about realising what works for each child and being a team."
The 33-year-old singer - who suffers from bi-polar disorder - also admitted to being the "happiest she's ever been" with George, whom she first got to know in her teens.
She explained: "He's my best mate. We've known each other since we were 14. George asked me out when I was 17. In fact he asked me to marry him and I said no."

Cameron Diaz insists being naked in 'Sex Tape' isn't an "objectification".
The 41-year-old actress shows off her naked bottom on-screen for the first time in her new film alongside Jason Segel but she claims she would never have done it earlier on in her career.
Quizzed on how she felt about the nude scene, she said: "I'm not really naked - it's just my butt!
"It's not an objectification. If I had done it another time, if I was a young girl who was taking off my clothes to be sexy in a movie - that never felt right to me.
"For me, this is about two people who are a loving relationship, being playful with one another and showing how much they love each other."
The 'Bad Teacher' star shows off her derriere in the film that tells the story of how a married couple - played by her and Segal - accidentally send a video of themselves making love to all of their friends and colleagues via an online transfer application.
Referring to Apple's iCloud - which wirelessly stores files from different electronic devices - Segal said: "I do know what it is! It's a bank of servers somewhere that anyone really has access to for any reason ... We did a lot of research. Everything that happens in the movie could happen to you - it's a cautionary tale!"

Emma Roberts and Zachary Quinto have joined the cast of 'Michael'.
The 23-year-old actress and the 'Heroes' star will join James Franco in the upcoming drama about an anti-gay pastor who was once gay himself, Variety reports.
While Franco will take on the role of the pastor, Quinto will play his former boyfriend and Roberts is to star as his current girlfriend, with 'The Amazing Spider-Man's Chris Zylka also attached to the project as a past love interest.
'Michael' is based on a New York Times Magazine article titled 'My Ex-Gay Friend' by Benoit Denizet-Lewis about Michael Glatze, a Christian minister who was so entrenched in gay culture before he rejected his homosexuality that he founded a gay youth magazine.
Justin Kelly has been lined up as director while Gus van Sant is executive producer alongside Franco, Vince Jolivette, Michael Mendelsohn, Ron Singer and Scott Reed.
Kelly said of the project: "This isn't just a story about an 'ex-gay'. It's actually a very relatable story about the power of belief and the desire to belong."
Denizet-Lewis added: "I'm excited that everyone involved in this project is intent on telling a story that captures the full breadth of Michael's unusual life, from the inspiring gay leader I knew when I was young to the Christian pastor he is today."
Roberts recently starred alongside Franco in 'Palo Alto' and is currently filming for upcoming comedy-drama 'Ashby' while Quinto, 37, is currently shooting 'Agent 47', in which he has the lead role.

Judy Greer felt like an "ass" whilst pretending to be a chimp in 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes'.
The 38-year-old actress plays queen of the apes Cornelia in new film 'Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes' and revealed that she got into the role by monkeying around on set.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, Judy laughed: "We did some improv with me playing an ape that the ape guru Terry Notary filmed on his iPhone. It was so weird.
"You just have to not think about what you're doing, because if you start to think about it even a little bit, you feel like such an ass."
The 'Two and a Half Men' star admitted, however, that she had the full support of her partner Dean Johnsen - who is a massive fan of the 'Planet of the Apes' movies.
She explained: "I love the 'Planet Of The Apes' franchise. My husband's such a big fan, it was sort of, 'If you can't beat them, join them'. He's so happy I'm in the film."
Greer has a long list of film credits to her name, including appearances in '13 Going on 30' and 'Love & Other Drugs', but this is her first role as a leading lady and she's revealed it was a conscious decision to move away from supporting roles and into the spotlight.
She added: "There did come a time when I also decided I didn't want to play the best friend any more."

Blink-182 have started work on a new album.
The American pop/punk band are back in the studio and have begun early sessions and rehearsals for their long-awaited seventh studio album.
Guitarist-and-vocalist Tom DeLonge made a post on his personal Instagram account of a photo of him and his two bandmates Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker as teenagers along with the news work on the new LP has started.
The caption read: "Rehearsals start today ... And yes there will be a new album #SorryForTheWait #Blink (sic)"
The album will be the group's first since 2011 release 'Neighborhoods', which was their comeback LP following their eight-year recording hiatus.
Now work has started on the record it could be completed quickly as bassist-and-vocalist Hoppus previously revealed the band work fast once they get started.
He previously told MTV News: "Once we start, it moves. It's like painting, you know? You've just got to start with that first brushstroke, and get your clothes off, and get the other person's clothes off, get a little bit of faeces, smear it around. Just get going."

Britain's Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly pregnant with her second child.
The 32-year-old royal gave birth to her and her husband Prince William's first child, Prince George, just under a year ago and it's now been reported that she could be expecting their second.
A former school friend of the Duchess, Jessica Hay, is said to have "confirmed" to Australia's New Day magazine that she is expecting and that her "inner circle are buzzing" with the baby news.
She also believes that the royal couple will make an announcement in the coming weeks as she claims Catherine has already started to put weight on and is struggling to hide her growing bump.
However, Buckingham Palace have refused to comment on the news and as Miss Hay is not close to the Duchess, and hasn't spoken to her for many years, the news is said to be nothing but speculation.
Although, some observers have pointed out that Hay was correct when she claimed Catherine was pregnant with Prince George several weeks before it was officially announced in 2012.
The royal couple were forced to reveal the news to the world after the Duchess was rushed to hospital with extreme morning sickness.
