Britain's Prince William has joked that his son will soon be able to run faster than him.
The 32-year-old royal joined in with a school's sports day while visiting Coventry in the West Midlands of England yesterday (16.07.14) and joked that although his and his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge's 12-month-old son has only just learned how to walk, he could soon be a speedier runner than him.
After taking part in a 30-meter dash, he told head teacher Gill Naylor: "I think George will be running faster than me very soon."
The Duke of Cambridge - who was visiting the city to launch a World War One parks scheme on behalf of the charity Fields in Trust - also engaged in banter with the race-winner claiming his snazzy trainers had given him an advantage.
People magazine reported him as saying: "Love the shoes, seriously fast!"
He also posed for photographs with schoolchildren and attempted to ensure they all plastered their cheesiest grins on their faces by teasing, 'Look excited, be happy!"
Naylor said of the future king: "He was lovely with the children, really friendly and charming."
Sir Marcus Setchell pretended Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were just a normal couple when he delivered their son.
The Queen's surgeon-gynaecologist - who came out of retirement at the request of Prince William and Duchess Catherine to deliver their firstborn, Prince George - has opened up about the experience and admitted he had to play down the pressure he felt.
Speaking in an interview with 'Woman's Hour' BBC Radio 4, he said: "You just have to keep reminding yourself that although it's very important, for the couple and the about-to-be-born baby, it's just another healthy young couple giving birth to a hopefully very healthy baby.
"And I constantly reminded myself of that so that the pressures of the hundreds of media people outside the hospital didn't affect me, at least not more than minimally."
Sir Marcus was in charge of the team of doctors delivering Prince George at the exclusive Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in London and he's insisted that a team of "perfectly wonderful" midwives helped them.
The 70-year-old health professional was also on hand to look after the Duchess when she suffered from extreme morning sickness - hyperemesis gravidarum - in the early stages of her pregnancy.
Earlier this year, Catherine attended his leaving lunch at the Hyde Park Hilton and he was then called back to Buckingham Palace where he was made a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order - a personal gift from the Queen.

Ed Sheeran was worried he'd never make it as a pop star because he was a "chubby, fat ginger kid".
The 'Sing' hitmaker has topped the charts in 12 countries with his new album 'X' but when he was an unsigned act he feared his appearance would stop him from being a success in the music industry.
In an interview with Zane Lowe for MTV Music show 'Relentless Ultra Presents Soundchain', he said: "I wasn't a very marketable person ever. This was point where James Blunt was huge. All labels looking for next singer/songwriter and I was chubby, ginger kid with a small guitar."
Ed also accepts that his decision to play 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' - a derisory song about record labels - at many industry meetings probably didn't help his cause.
The musician joked: "Knockbacks seemed bad at time, but looking back if I'd been at label I'd have knocked myself back then."
The 'A Team' singer also credits Taylor Swift for his success in the US, admitting Taylor's offer to support her on her sell-out 'Red Tour' introduced him to the wider American audience.
He said: "[Taylor] owns the US pop scene. She knows how to do it. In England I was a commercially successful artist, but I came to the US as an alternative artist playing shows with Snow Patrol. She not only opened doors for me in the pop world but told me how to do it. You have to do all radio shows at Christmas and do all those sessions. The key is not to lose that."
'Relentless Ultra Presents Soundchain With Zane Lowe & Ed Sheeran' airs on Sunday (20.07.14) at 9.30pm on MTV Music.
Simon Cowell has insisted on taking Dermot O'Leary's 'X Factor' dressing room.
The 41-year-old TV presenter was given Simon's old quarters when he quit the show in 2010, but the music mogul has snatched it back ahead of his return to the ITV singing competition this year.
The plush dressing room is the largest one at Fountain Studios in north London, where the 'X Factor' live shows are filmed, and is fitted with luxury amenities as well as a private bathroom.
Simon, 54, has already called in a decorating team to give it an overhaul with new carpeting, padded walls and a luxury sofa.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Poor Dermot. First he gets ridiculed in 'The X Factor' musical 'I Can't Sing' and now he's being evicted from the best dressing room."
Cheryl Cole, who is also back on the judging panel, will get back her old dressing room, too, following Nicole Scherzinger's decision to quit the show.
New judge Mel B will take over Sharon Osbourne's old quarters while 'X Factor' stalwart Louis Walsh will remain in the dressing room he uses every year.
Bill Bailey is to present resurrected game show 'Name That Tune'.
The 50-year-old comedian has already filmed a pilot of the iconic show and bosses at ITV hope that will be enough to secure a full series, The Sun newspaper reports.

Lindsay Lohan has made an unlikely pal in 'The Only Way is Essex' hunk Dan Osborne.
The Hollywood actress - who is in London preparing for her West End debut in a theatre production of 'Speed-the-Plow' - has been hanging out with the burly reality star and friends are reportedly worried the friendship may affect his romance with 'EastEnders' beauty Jacqueline Jossa.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Dan is a taken man and very happy but he was keen to be introduced to Lindsay as she is such a big star.
"It's all harmless fun at the moment but Lindsay has a reputation for fancying hunky Z-list Brits so Dan should tread carefully."
In fact, Lindsay can count several 'TOWIE' cast members as friends.
Newcomer Vas J. Morgan is said to be a close pal of the 'Freaky Friday' actress as is former 'TOWIE' star Tom Kilby.
Dan has already declared his feelings for Jacqueline on a recent episode of the hit ITV2 show, as he told his friends that he "loves" the 'EastEnders' actress.
He told Tom Pearce: "I would definitely say I was in love. And I don't believe in throwing that word around, but I am happier than I've ever been."
