Anne Hathaway’s Star Wars dog

Anne Hathaway has named her new dog after her favourite movie character.
The 'Les Miserables' actress and her husband Adam Schulman - who already have a chocolate labrador named Esmeralda - took on the care of mixed breed pooch Edward last month and have named their new pet after a 'Star Wars' icon.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Their new dog is named Kenobi, as in Obi Wan-Kenobi from 'Star Wars'. "
It was previously revealed that the couple's new dog is a "little gentleman" who was expected to make a perfect companion for Esmeralda.
Teri Austin, president of The Amanda Foundation, the Beverly Hills rescue centre where they got the new pooch, said: "They were looking for a companion for Esmeralda.
"He makes very good eye contact with you. I think he's going to train very nicely, he's an intelligent little dog.
"He was such a little gentleman. He's a calm, sweet puppy. Which is why he's going to be a good companion for Esmeralda."
Teri went on to praise the 31-year-old beauty for her love of dogs.
She added: ""Some people have an intuition for dogs, and she's one of them. She's a dog person."

Cameron Diaz: Drew Barrymore rumour made me sick

Cameron Diaz wanted to "vomit in her mouth" at the thought of sleeping with Drew Barrymore.
The 'Sex Tape' actress - who admitted earlier this year she had "been with a lady" - was horrified when she was directly asked if she had been intimate with her close friend.
She said: "Some media outlet called for a comment and they wanted to know whether I was with Drew. Literally, I said, 'That makes me want to vomit in my mouth.'
"That's like saying I'm having sex with my sister. Are you crazy? I wouldn't even ménage with her!"
Cameron's admission triggered a lot of speculation, but she tried not to pay it too much attention.
She said: "I don't even pay attention. People will always speculate. People like scandal. They like to put a label on something that they don't understand. It makes them feel comfortable. Mostly they like to guess who it could be."
The 41-year-old beauty admits she has been experimental in her sex life, and though she doesn't want to share too many details, she doesn't want to appear horrified by anything as she wouldn't want to "shame" anyone else.
She explained to America's Harper's Bazaar magazine: "Everybody tries things and sees things and checks them out, and either walks away or walks further in. It's life -- it's what people do.
"I'm not going to tell people what I've done, but I'm also not going to say, 'No! I would never!' If I said that, I'd be shaming myself and shaming other people's choices. I don't want to add any stigma to someone's choice."

Kristen Wiig wants a ‘dramatic’ role

Kristen Wiig would love to tackle a "dramatic" role.
The 40-year-old actress is mainly known for her work in comedy, and while she doesn't think being pigeonholed is a "bad thing", she would also like to branch out and do new things.
She said: "It's not necessarily a bad thing. You have to have some sort of context for a person to register in your brain, and I was introduced to the world as a cast member of 'SNL'.
"But I've always wanted to do dramatic stuff, to write and direct, do a lot of different things. Comedy is where my heart lies, but there's also something really satisfying about being able to step away with a small crew, become a character and get to know her for a few months at a time."
Kristen's next role, as a lottery winner with borderline personality disorder who stops taking her medication and starts a talk show in 'Welcome to Me', sees her take on a new challenge - getting "fully naked" on screen.
She added in an interview with America's ELLE magazine: "I'd never read a character like that.
"I got to a scene where it read, 'She's fully naked,' and I remember thinking, 'If I do this movie, I have to do this scene, because it's really important to this script.'"

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla learn to forage

Britain's Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla have received a foraging lesson.
TV chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall showed the royal couple around the grounds of the famous River Cottage, located in Axminster, Devon, much to Camilla's delight earlier today (15.07.14).
The Duchess of Cornwall appeared giddy as Hugh, 49, took them on a tour of the location - a source of ethically produced food ingredients - which was preceded by him teaching them how to forage for food.
Hugh has a lot in common with Prince Charles, 66, as both are staunch supporters of organic farming.
The chef is quoted by the Dorset Echo newspaper as saying: "I have long admired and been grateful for the prince's tireless support for sustainable agriculture and artisan food producers, and it was an absolute honour to welcome Their Royal Highnesses to our busy HQ.
"I was very proud to be able to show off our amazing operation and our brilliantly talented team."
Later today, the royals are expected to enjoy a meal at the River Cottage Canteen, which serves up food from Hugh's farm.
The visit comes on the second day of Charles and Camilla's annual tour of Devon and Cornwall.

R. Kelly announces new house album

R. Kelly is working on an electronic dance album.
The singer is known as an R&B star but has revealed he is going to experiment with his sound and make a house record.
While on stage at the Chosen Few DJs Picnic event in Chicago, the 47-year-old musician told the crowd: "I want y'all to know a secret, I'm working on a house album right now, and I want y'all to know, it's coming."
As the audience cheered, the 'Bump 'n' Grind' singer added: "And y'all know, I love music and I feel like I can do anything when it comes to music because I am music just like y'all."
Kelly is yet to reveal any other details of the LP, but could be set to bring in the biggest names in dance after previously collaborating with pop legends such as Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Jay Z and P. Diddy.
To date, R. Kelly has released 12 albums, with his most recent record being 'Black Panties'. The album was a commercial success selling 133,000 copies in the United States within the first week and debuted at number four on the 'Billboard 200' chart.
As well as his house project the singer is working on a follow-up to his last album which will be called 'White Panties' and is set to feature Justin Bieber.
He also has plans for a festive album entitled 'The 12 Nights Of Christmas'.

Lily Allen wants kids to meet Miley Cyrus

Lily Allen is excited about her children meeting Miley Cyrus.
The 'Hard Out Here' singer will be performing in Australia later this month before joining Miley for her 'Bangerz' US tour on August 1 and she plans to introduce daughters Ethel, two, and 18-month-old Marnie, to the 'Wrecking Ball' singer when her kids join her in the States.
During an interview on BBC Radio 1 today (15.07.14), Lily - who is married to Sam Cooper - said: "I'm not going to take them to Australia.
"I'm only there for seven days and they're both under three so that would be a bit mean.
"But they are going to meet me in New York and then come on the bus with me and Miley.
"Although I don't think Miley will be on my bus, she's probably got other plans!"
Lily - who recently released her third album 'Sheezus' following a five-year break from recording - has had to get used to being a working mother since she made her pop return, but appreciates the fact she has a "bit of money" makes her life easier than it is for other working parents.
When asked by presenter Fearne Cotton how she balances her work and family life, Lily said: "Probably in the same way all other working mums manage it.
"It's probably a lot easier for me because I've got a bit of money and nannies and my job's really fun. I'm very happy, very lucky."
Lily will join Miley for seven shows starting in Uniondale, New York, and ending in St Louis, Missouri.

Holloaks’ Theresa McQueen to ’cause havoc’

Theresa McQueen will "cause havoc" when she returns to 'Hollyoaks'.
The notorious loudmouth - played by Jorgie Porter - will return to the Channel 4 soap in spectacular fashion, producer Bryan Kirkwood has promised.
Theresa is currently in prison after being found guilty of Calvin Valentine's murder but she will soon be reunited with the rest of the McQueen clan.
Talking to Inside Soap magazine, Bryan teased: "Jorgie Porter is filming with us again and it's a delight to have her back. We underused Theresa in her last year in the show, so now we will see a renewed, reinvigorated Theresa causing havoc in all the right - and wrong - places.
"She will get out of prison, but how she manages this remains to be seen."
The producer also revealed that there will be two new characters arriving in Chester who will mix things up for the McQueen family.
He said: "This autumn will see the arrival of an extended branch of the McQueen family as we meet Myra's nieces. We are starting the casting process now and I am so excited to be breathing new life into the show's most iconic family."
Additionally, there will be justice for John Paul McQueen (James Sutton), who is recovering from a brutal sex attack at the hands of Finn O'Connor (Keith Rice).
Byran explained: "We have closely followed advice from male rape survivors and wanted to send a clear message that, although it can take time for victims of male rape to come forward, this won't prevent them from being listened to, or mean that their attacker will not face the full force of the law.
"Rest assured that for John Paul, justice will prevail."

Michelle Keegan plans ‘Tina shrine’ in new home

Michelle Keegan will have a "Tina shrine" in her new home.
The 'Coronation Street' beauty - whose character Tina McIntyre was killed off in May - has revealed plans to dedicate an area of her new home in Essex, which she will share with fiancé Mark Wright, to her soap alter-ego as a reminder of her six years on the show.
Speaking to Lucie Cave on heat radio, she said: "I have got loads of pictures from the past, with Chris Gascoyne [Peter Barlow] and more all stacked up ready to go into my new home. So I will be taking her with me - it will be a Tina shrine.
"I do miss Tina a lot, I do miss her and I do miss 'Corrie'. But it was just the right time for me [to leave]."
Michelle, 27, has already lined up her next acting role but is eager not to give away too many details.
She explained: "I want to continue acting just because it's something that I love to do and I have been auditioning again. I can't say too much because it's not 100 per cent signed, but there is a job in the pipeline."
The stunning actress has ruled out any plans to follow fellow soap stars Martine McCutcheon and Holly Valance into the music industry, however, as Michelle openly admits she's a terrible singer.
She said: "I'd love to be able to sing. That's the one thing I'd love to be able to do. When I'm drunk that's another thing that I do - overconfident, I get on the mic at karaoke and think I can sing like Celine Dion. I can't."

Dragon Piers Linney not surprised by Bannatyne exit

Piers Linney says 'Dragons' Den' stalwart Duncan Bannatyne "will be missed".
The Scottish entrepreneur, 65, has amassed a huge fortune across a number of industries and after 12 series of the BBC Two show recently decided that now is the right time to walk away.
Fellow Dragon Piers said the decision has come as no surprise, telling the Metro newspaper: "I think he was just ready to go.
"He is very insightful and has a particular talent for just cutting through everything. He will be missed but I'm also looking forward to seeing who they bring in, or what happens next."
New episodes of the popular show are set to air this week and Piers - the co-founder of successful IT company Outsourcery - says that he was keen to build on his business successes in the new series.
He explained: "You make a decision and you take quite big punts. But I think in Series 12, I come into my own a bit.
"There are a few interesting tech-driven, or e-commerce businesses and with tech you have to go big or go home."
The new series of 'Dragons' Den' starts on Sunday (20.07.14) on BBC Two.

Vin Diesel’s fans helped him land role

Vin Diesel's "gigantic fan base" helped him land a role in 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has revealed how the action star's 80 million fans on Facebook convinced him to cast Diesel as the voice of sentient, tree-like creature Groot in the upcoming intergalactic superhero movie.
Speaking at an exclusive Q&A in London today (15.07.14), he said: "During the casting process, Vin had come in for a general meeting. Vin has a gigantic fan base, in particular on Facebook. He posted when he was going to meet with us. I think we were doing a press visit on 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier', and people were going, 'Have you met with Vin Diesel yet? How did it go?' There became this odd fever about what Vin was going to do with Marvel and in terms of a grand plan, we hadn't found anything yet."
With the 'Fast & Furious' star firmly on his radar thanks to his fans, Feige recalled being impressed by Diesel's earlier voice role in 'The Iron Giant'.
He explained: "I don't think people are even aware Vin did that role, so I spoke to James [Gunn, director] - 'What if we could get Vin to do this?' James said, 'That would be amazing!' Thank God Vin loved the idea and he took it very, very seriously."
The part of Groot requires Diesel to say only one line, "I am Groot", but the actor worked tirelessly with the film's director to ensure each utterance was powerful and emotive.
Feige said: "There was the cue-sheet which said, 'I am Groot, I am Groot, I am Groot.' But next to it, Vin made James put what that really meant, what Groot really meant [to say] in that moment. It really is one of the best performances in the movie."
The Hollywood producer also confirmed he is still in talks with the 46-year-old leading man, who only provides the voice of Groot, to star in another Marvel project that would see him appear on-screen.
He added: "We were talking, and still are, about what we could do in the future in a bigger part."
'Guardians of the Galaxy' is released on July 31, 2014.
