Police called to Lisa Maxwell’s home

Police were called to diffuse a row between Lisa Maxwell and her neighbours.
The 'Loose Women' presenter is set to marry long-term partner Paul Jessup this weekend at a church near her Cotswalds home, but local residents are reportedly furious with the disruptions her preparations are causing.
Kate Hamilton, who lives nearby in Edge, Gloucestershire, said: "I called the police because our drive was blocked again. Last Friday I counted 17 vehicles out here."
Another neighbour, Graham Lilley, added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "The noise of diggers has been constant. It's caused mayhem."
When asked to comment on the row, Paul said his fiancee wasn't home and he "didn't have any" to make.
Lisa and Paul - who have 14-year-old daughter Beau together - got engaged two years ago after 15 years together.
And the former 'Bill' actress was the one who proposed after taking advantage of leap year traditions, when women propose on February 29.
She previously revealed: "It's something we've talked about, but we haven't really had a proposal. And I thought I'd say to him, once and for all, 'Will you marry me?' And he said, 'Of course I will Nobby!'
"Unfortunately I wanted to try and get a picture of the moment I proposed, but I was in my jimjams and we were in bed. Well I wasn't even in my jimjams!
"I love him, I want to spend the rest of my life with him. If you're watching sweetheart - you mean the world to me and I'm so happy. I didn't realise I would be, but there you go."

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is ‘just friends’ with Jennifer Lopez

Maksim Chmerkovskiy insists he and Jennifer Lopez are "just friends".
The 'Dancing with the Stars' professional has been linked with the 'On the Floor' hitmaker since her split from Casper Smart, but he insists there is nothing romantic about their relationship.
He said: "With the Jennifer thing, look, we're friends and ... we're friends. This is it. This is where it ends, pretty much."
The hunky dancer has previously dated Karina Smirnoff and Kate Upton and admits dating in the public eye is difficult because the scrutiny can "ruin" a relationship.
He told the New York Daily News newspaper's Confidenti@l column:
"I now understand why Hollywood is such a difficult place to have a good relationship in: because there's all these interferences. Two people have to be so strong -- and notice I didn't say 'in love.' They have to be in love, but trust me, there've been situations when two people have been really in love, and all of this gets in the way and it completely ruins it."
However, the 34-year-old Ukrainian knows he is lucky not to have bigger problems.
He said: "Look, it could be worse, right? When we get together, all my friends are like, 'Dude, I envy you -- if this is biggest problem you have in life, good for you.' "
Maksim admires the way A-list stars Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes - who are expecting their first child together - have been able to conduct their relationship in private.
He said: "Look at Eva and Ryan having a baby. I think their relationship is amazing, because it's so quiet and nobody knows anything about it. And so those two people are professional, they're amazing at what they do, and they're strong enough to be able to keep it to themselves. That's brilliant. I envy them and I look up to couples like this."

Dolly Parton offers advice to divorcing couples

Dolly Parton has urged divorcing parents to be more "considerate".
The 68-year-old singer's new song 'Miss You - Miss Me' from her 'Blue Smoke' album is told from the perspective of a child whose mother and father have split up and the country music legend admits the track was inspired by a family situation.
She explained: "I actually had a niece that was going through a divorce. And my little grand-niece, who was part of that whole divorce, was feeling like she didn't quite understand why there was such problems between her mom and her dad.
"I just think that so many children get caught up in the divorce. And children are made to feel like they've done something wrong when two grown people, even when they can't get along, should be more considerate where the children are concerned."
The '9 to 5' hitmaker writes all her songs her "own way" and doesn't care if people don't "accept" her perspective.
She told the Huffington Post: "I just write my songs. I do my thing my own way. I say what I see. People either accept it or don't."
Dolly - who has been married to Carl Dean for 48 years - is an advocate for same-sex marriage because she is "loving of all people".
She added: "I've been Dolly all the way through. People know who I am. They know I'm very open, loving of all people. Accepting of all things. I'm an American girl."

Pharrell Williams learns from son

Pharrell Williams learns a lot from his son.
The 'Happy' hitmaker admits five-year-old Rocket - who he has with wife Helen Lasichanh - has completely changed his life, and he is in awe of the little boy's technological knowledge.
He told ABC News: "He's changed my world.
"My son teaches me. It's crazy, he teaches me [about video games and the latest gizmos and gadgets].
"This is one of those times in your life when you're like, 'Think about that one interview when someone asked you a serious question' and it just hit me... When you asked me about my son and my answer to you was, 'He teaches me?' Like, that was bizarre to me."
Pharrell is following in the footsteps of Jay Z and LeBron James to curate the soundtrack for forthcoming basketball video game 'NBA 2K15', though he admits his knowledge of the sport is limited, and he asked the women he works with to help him come up with the perfect tracks.
He explained: They know so much more about the sport than I do.
"I'm not screaming like touchdown, but after free throw, lay up and couple dunks ... I know what a crossover is but don't know how to do one.
"These are girls that play the game and ... their boyfriends play or their friends play, I thought it would be such an interesting twist to have the girls weight in on the song list, they listen to it just as much, I tried to pick an alternative approach ... How do you follow up LeBron and Jay? I gotta take a different route. I don't know I just thought it'd be cool."

Christian Bale for The Deep Blue Good-by?

Christian Bale is in talks to star in 'The Deep Blue Good-by'.
'The Dark Knight Rises' star is in negotiations with Fox to take on the role of Travis McGee in the upcoming adaptation of the John D. MacDonald novel of the same name, Variety reports.
The book is the first in a series of 21 that follow McGee, a self described "savage consultant" who recovers people's property for a fee and along the way gets caught up in trouble fighting bad guys and wooing women.
While no official offer has been made as of yet, Bale is said to have agreed to star and an offer is expected to be announced shortly.
James Mangold will direct the film for Chernin Entertainment while 'The Wolf of Wall Street' star Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson-Killoran are to produce for Appian Way alongside Amy Robinson.
Dennis Lehane penned the script, adapting MacDonald's novel for the big screen, while Scott Frank has been working on the most recent draft.
Bale recently worked with both Fox and Chernin entertainment on 'Exodus: Gods and Kings' - in which he plays Moses - which is set for release on December 12 2014.

Pharrell Williams curates game soundtrack

Pharrell Williams says compiling a video game soundtrack was a "cool experience".
The 'Happy' hitmaker has selected a series of tracks for 'NBA 2K15' and hopes his choice of tunes proves to be "motivational" for players of the forthcoming sports title.
He said: "It was a cool experience. I tried to curate songs that were diverse but yet still proved to be motivational to gamers.
"It was important to me that the music complemented the on-court action of NBA basketball in NBA 2K15. I hope everyone enjoys it."
Though Pharrell's selections haven't yet been unveiled, game creators 2K have promised an "eclectic" mix that players will enjoy.
The company's vice president of marketing Alfie Brody said: "Pharrell's passion and reputation as a visionary producer and expertise from working with the NBA will be evident in the largest and most eclectic NBA 2K soundtrack ever.
"We really listened to our fans' feedback on how we could improve their experience from a music standpoint, and we're confident Pharrell's collaboration in NBA 2K15 will impress players as much as it's impressed us."
'NBA 2K15' will be released in October for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.

Kanye West forbidden from writing Bond theme by Kris Jenner

Kris Jenner has forbid Kanye West from writing a James Bond theme song.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star - whose daughter Kim Kardashian-West is married to the rapper and has a 13-month-old daughter, North, with him - is said to be furious with the 'Stronger' hitmaker after he secretly expressed interest in pitching a track to be used for the next instalment in the spy franchise.
The 58-year-old showbiz matriarch still holds a grudge against current 007, Daniel Craig, after he referred to her family as "f**king idiots" in an interview back in 2011 and has forbidden Kanye from having any involvement with the actor or the much-anticipated 23rd Bond movie unless Daniel, 46, apologises for his comments first.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Kris isn't budging but Kanye is still desperate to do it.
"Kim isn't taking sides but is privately hoping he doesn't end up recording the theme."
Luckily for Kris, Bond bosses are said to be eyeing up Adele to record a follow-up to the Oscar-winning theme 'Skyfall' which she penned for the 2012 picture of the same name.
Although bosses will consider Kanye and several other artists if she declines the offer.
The source explained: "Kanye would do an amazing job but if Adele wants the gig its hers."

Britian’s Sophie, Countess of Wessex spins plates

Britain's Sophie, Countess of Wessex has learnt how to spin plates.
The 49-year-old royal - who is married to Queen Elizabeth's youngest son Prince Edward - was taught the impressive skill while attending the annual Yorkshire Show in Harrogate, Northern England.
Mark Taylor - who has been teaching circus skills and running workshops for children's parties, schools and fetes for over five years decided to take the opportunity to add a royal name to his client list.
He said: "I know the organisers and every year when I go down to the show I always say, 'If you ever get royalty coming to the show, I'm going to teach them to spin plates.'
"I was there three days this year in the Discovery tent with my circus skills drop-in workshop."
The father-of-two admits he was expecting the Countess - who has daughter Lady Louis Windsor and son James, Viscount Severn with Prince Edward - and when she arrived she was more than up for giving it a go.
Speaking to Gazette Live, he added: "I knew that the Countess was supposed to be visiting so when she walked in the tent and came towards me I just passed her a plate - a blue one of course.
"When she first started it nearly hit her in the head. She said, 'I hope you know I'm not good at these things'.
"I haven't met much royalty before but she was really lovely and wasn't afraid to meet people and try all the different things at the show."

Frankie Essex attacked at nightclub

Frankie Essex claims she was attacked in a nightclub because of her 'The Only Way Is Essex' fame.
The 26-year-old beauty has revealed how she was attacked by a gang of screaming girls in the toilets of Club 195 in Essex on Saturday (12.07.14), as she enjoyed a night out with boyfriend John Lyons, TOWIE's Chloe Sims and her boyfriend Elliott Wright.
She explained: "I was in the VIP bar having a really good night. Chloe left and my boyfriend went for a smoke outside.
"I nipped to the loo. I even left my bag and everything on the table because the club is normally so safe.
"There are just two cubicles down a corridor, so no one was around to see what happened. I had sat down and slid the bolt lock when suddenly these girls started banging on the door...
"Then the door came crashing in and three or four girls just threw themselves at me ... They were punching, scratching, pulling ... I think I might have got kicked in the head because I've got a really bad bruise on the top of it."
Frankie - who is Joey Essex's older sister - was then saved by one of the nightclub bouncers who helped her up before kicking her attackers out, and it wasn't until John told her he'd heard the girls boasting about "doing Frankie Essex" that she realised they must have recognised her from her time on the ITV 2 reality series.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I couldn't understand why the girls had set on me. I didn't know them at all.
"When John told me what he heard I realised they must have targeted me because of TOWIE.
"I can't believe it - how someone could do that just because of a TV show, out of jealousy and spite."

Justin Bieber to be deposed again

Justin Bieber has been ordered to sit for another deposition.
The 'Believe' hitmaker was ordered to answer questions from lawyers in March as part of an ongoing lawsuit relating to his bodyguard allegedly beating up a photographer, but after he refused to respond to several queries, a judge has insisted he must repeat the interrogation, with the same lawyer.
Several of the questions Justin refused to answer related to his on/off girlfriend, with the lawyer - representing the photographer, Jeffrey Binion - insisting Justin and Selena's relationship is relevant to the case because she was with him at the scene of another apparent attack on a paparazzo in 2012.
However, after refusing to answer several times, the 20-year-old star eventually exploded, saying: "Don't ask me about her! Do not ask me about her!"
The 'Beauty and a Beat' singer then stormed out of the room, and was said to have been "on edge" when he returned a few minutes later and angered the lawyer with his surly responses.
When he responded to a query by saying, "Yeah", the lawyer asked, "Do you mean yes?", to which he scoffed, "What the f**k is the difference between yeah and yes?!"
The sarcastic star remained unimpressed by the cross-examination.
Justin allegedly said, "What is this, '60 Minutes?' " and later quipped, "OK Katie Couric, what's your question again?"
The star is accused of ordering his bodyguard Hugo Hesny to choke Binion and steal his camera equipment last June outside a Miami recording studio.
According to TMZ, no date has yet been set for the new deposition, but it will be videotaped again.

Jeff Goldblum gets engaged

Jeff Goldblum has got engaged.
The 'Jurassic Park' actor is set to tie the knot with Emilie Livingston - who, at 30, is 31 years his junior - after popping the question in Hawaii earlier this month.
Emilie, a former Olympic rhythmic gymnast, used social media to reveal the good news.
Clearly emotional, she wrote on Twitter: "Jul 8 he proposed @ our fave #okstore. I was taken over by tears of joy n ecstasy! We picked the ring 2gether #inlove (sic)"
She later posted several photos on Instagram, including a close-up of her engagement ring as well as a photo of the pair embracing one another.
She captioned it: "So in love!!! #jeffgoldblum #emilielivingston #love #initforlife"
Jeff, 61, has been married twice before, firstly to Patricia Gaul, who he wed in 1980 but split from six years later, a year before tying the knot with his 'Fly' co-star Geena Davis.
The second union lasted just three years.
Although he hasn't yet spoken out about his latest engagement, the 'Independence Day' star has previously described Emilie as "just spectacular and beautiful."
He added: "I'm happy as a clam with her. I feel lucky, lucky, lucky."
