The Dutch Queen Maxima was overcome with grief as aircrash victims were returned to the Netherlands.
The 43-year-old royal visited the Eindhoven Airbase yesterday (23.07.14) as the plane carrying the coffins of the deceased arrived back in the country, reports Hello! magazine.
Queen Maxima was brought to tears and clutched her husband King Willem-Alexander's hand as the victims of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 - which came down over Ukraine after taking off from Amsterdam last week - were brought off the plane.
Following the incident, King Willem-Alexander paid tribute to the victims of the air crash which is believed to have taken the lives of 189 dutch passengers.
Victims included Aids researcher Joep Lange and the Dutch Labour party MP Willem Witteveen, leaving the King "deeply shocked".
The 47-year-old royal said on Thursday(17.07.14): "We offer our deepest sympathy to the families, friends and colleagues of the victims and to those who are still uncertain if their loved ones were on board the plane."
The King and Queen also met victims' family members this week and signed a book of condolences honouring the deceased that has been placed outside the Ministry of Security and Justice in the Hague.
Another book of condolences has also been set up at Schiphol Airport where the flight took off from on July 17.
Britain's Duchess of Cornwall posed for a selfie on her admirer's knee.
The 67-year-old royal - who is married to the heir apparent, Prince Charles - was more than happy to pose for the photo with Anthony Laing, who was eager to recreate a photo of the Duchess sitting on a chivalrous captain's knee as they walked in the Scottish Highlands in 2011.
Anthony - who is the managing director of Shortbread House of Edinburgh - and his son, Rupert were determined to recreate the picture as the Duchess visited their company's factory on Tuesday(22.07.14), reports Telegraph.co.uk.
Rupert, 27, said: "Three years ago I set up a charity called DecAid, which raised £134,000 for military charities. The Duchess was patron of the appeal, and she came to visit us when we were climbing all 263 mountains higher than 3,000ft in Scotland.
"Because we were in the middle of nowhere (Capt.) Ceri Green offered the Duchess his knee to sit on, and my father really loved the picture, so when the Duchess came to visit he was determined to get one for himself.
"He was a little bit nervous about asking. "
However, Anthony had no reason to be nervous as the Duchess of Cornwall happily recalled the previous photograph and sat down on his knee to recreate the shot.
Rupert said: "I asked her if she would do it again for my father. She laughed and said she would. She remembered the previous occasion straight away.
"My father is a very happy man, and I think the picture will become something of a family heirloom in years to come."
Heston Blumenthal has undergone a hip operation.
The celebrity chef, 48, has been suffering from severe pain over a number of years and recently decided to go under the knife to relieve his ailments.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I've got a new hip. I'm getting better, I mean really surprisingly quickly.
"I'm told the crutches are there for a reason - to slow you down."
Heston - who owns the Black Duck restaurant in Bray, Berkshire - is younger than most people who have hip ops, but explained that it became unavoidable due to various physical troubles.
He explained: "I broke my leg when I was nine when I fell off a roof. You are put into traction until your bones knit. My right leg got longer than the left one.
"I then did kickboxing for 15 years and the combination of that and going into the kitchen, I got a knackered back. I had a back operation and this is a hangover from all of that."
The chef, who has fronted shows like 'Heston's Fantastical Food', recently appeared on 'MasterChef Australia'.
The next series of 'The Only Way Is Essex' is to be filmed in Ibiza.
The ITV2 reality series' stars have been warned they must be on their best behaviour after show bosses decided to launch the next series in the Spanish party hotspot.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "Bosses think having the cast in Ibiza will look great on telly.
"But there are, of course, other temptations on Ibiza and everyone has been warned not to get up to mischief."
The cast - which includes James 'Arg' Argent, Tom Pearce, Gemma Collins and Ferne McCann - will be flown to the Balearic island in September for the nightclubs' season closing parties, which are notoriously wild.
However, bosses have been forced to give the stars a stern talking to, to ensure their drinking doesn't get out of control and that they don't get involved in any more drugs scandals.
Cast member James 'Lockie' Lock recently returned to the show after being given a conditional discharge for pleading guilty to possession of ketamine.
Meanwhile, Mario Falcone is currently suspended from 'TOWIE' following the emergence of video footage of someone, believed to look like him, snorting cocaine while on a night out.
The hunk also missed out on the cast's annual trip to Marbella, Spain, because of the alleged incident.

The 57-year-old comedienne, who has previously appeared as a contestant on 'The Great Comic Relief Bake Off', will present 'The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice' on BBC Two, which will air right after the main show.
Each week, Jo will be joined by a panel of celebrity fans to discuss the latest episode and will also interview that week's eliminated baker.
Jo said: "I am absolutely delighted to have been asked to be part of 'An Extra Slice'. As someone who obviously loves cakes but also, keeps a very strict eye on my figure and exercises assiduously to keep healthy, I hope I am a worthy candidate to represent the Borough of Baking."
'An Extra Slice' will be filmed in front of a live studio audience and guests will be invited to bring in their own homemade treats based on the week's challenges and viewers at home can also send in photos of their baked goods.

'The Great British Bake Off', which pulled in nine million viewers on BBC Two, will move to BBC One for its new series next month.
Kimberly Kisselovich "forgot about the cameras" when she romped with Steven Goode on 'Big Brother'.
The former Playboy model, who abruptly left the house last week due to a medical issue, has opened up about having sex with her fellow housemate on the Channel 5 reality show and says she isn't surprised by viewer reaction to the steamy scenes.
In an interview with 'Big Brother' host Emma Willis on 'Bit on the Side' (23.07.14) last night, she said: "Not really, [I wasn't surprised], every time someone has sex on TV people have an opinion. As you become more comfortable you forget about the cameras."
Kimberly also claimed that despite sharing a bedroom with all of the other housemates, "no-one noticed" her sex sessions with Steven "apart from Ash [Harrison] and Helen [Wood]".
The 23-year-old reality star dismissed claims Steven was controlling of her, saying: "It didn't feel that way".
Kimberly added that she is usually the controlling partner in relationships and it was "nice to take a back-seat".
She said of her romance with Steven: "I never felt that I was in a position where I couldn't talk."
The brunette model admitted she wants a relationship with Steven, 23, and found herself falling in love with him.
She explained: "We're definitely on the same page ... I noticed I was falling for him the first time he faced eviction and thought, 'Why do I feel this way? I don't want to feel this way.' "
Zac Efron and Robert Pattinson were in "really good moods" on a night out together.
The Hollywood hunks enjoyed an evening with seven pals at Pinz Bowling Alley in California, followed by drinks in nightspot Bootsy Bellows and appeared to be great friends and not at all competitive during their games.
A source told E! News: "Zac was seen goofing around and Rob was not even trying, skipping his turn at one point. When they left some of the friends smoked cigarettes, while they all just laughed and talked.
"Rob and Zac both looked good and happy. Rob showed Zac something on his cell phone and they both started laughing. They were in really good moods."
The pair's night out comes a few days after the 'Twilight Saga' star enjoyed another night with his pal and the 'Bad Neighbours' star's new girlfriend Michelle Rodriguez at Chateau Marmont on Saturday (19.07.14).
Last year, Zac, 26, endured two stints in rehab for rumoured substance abuse and alcoholism and recently admitted his experiences taught him a lot and set him on the right path for the future.
He said: "I am so happy now and I feel like I am in a great place.
"It was an interesting year and I learnt so many things, but the best part of it was being able to reflect upon my experiences and what I had learnt about myself and the kind of man I want to be."

The 'True Tori' star was left devastated when husband Dean McDermott - with who she has children Liam, seven, Stella, six, Hattie, two, and 22-month-old Finn - confessed to cheating on her last December and she hopes to one day have a "candid" chat with her kids to explain what happened and how they got through the other side.
She told E! News: "I hope to be able to have a very candid conversation with them one day because I hope we will have made it through this and made it out on the other side, and we survived something that was a tough thing.
"We made it through and we can talk about it freely and say, 'You know, things aren't always easy and you've got to work on a relationship, and somethings things happen that isn't great but you move forward. I hope that's the case and I hope to be able to talk to them about it."
The 41-year-old beauty - whose attempts to repair her marriage were chronicled on 'True Tori' says she and her spouse are "working" on their relationship and trying to rebuild for the future.
She added: "We're working on things. We're committed to being a family and moving forward and that's what we're trying to do--it's day by day.

Mark Salling is dating 'Big Time Rush' star Denyse Tontz.

He told Us Weekly magazine: "Denyse is talented and beautiful on the inside and out.
"I look forward to getting to know her more and making magic."
Friends say the relationship is still in the early stages, with a source revealing they were introduced by Denyse's producer and bonded over one another's music.
The insider added that "they are hitting it off".
News of Mark's new relationship comes just after it was revealed his former girlfriend, and 'Glee' co-star Naya Rivera, married actor Ryan Dorsey following a whirlwind romance.
Although the 27-year-old actress only split from rapper fiance Big Sean in April, she and longtime friend Ryan tied the knot on July 19 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
They said: "We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife. Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for.
"True love always prevails."
The wedding came as even more of a shock as it was only revealed last week that the couple were dating, when they were spotted on vacation together in Mexico.
However, they have been friends for four years after meeting when Ryan moved to Los Angeles.
Amy Winehouse's mother thinks cigarettes and empty alcohol bottles are "fitting" tributes to her daughter.
Fans flocked to the late 'Back to Black' star's former London home yesterday (23.07.14) to pay their respects and mark three years since she died of alcohol poisoning, and many left gifts of posters, graffiti, candles and photos, as well as the cigarettes and bottles.
And despite her daughter's battle with alcohol, Janis Winehouse told TMZ she isn't upset by the unusual gifts, insisting it just makes her happy the singer's fans still care about her.
Janis intended to visit the property, in Camden, north London, to see all the ways Amy's fans had tried to honour her.
She tweeted yesterday: "I will go to camden tonight to see the tributes left by you all at the house in camden square, thank you , love Janis xxx"
Meanwhile, Amy's father Mitch Winehouse marked yesterday by visiting his daughter's grave and sharing some "laughs" with friends.
He tweeted: "Went to see Amy and my mum today. Lots of tears and then loads of laughs with my friends at lunch. Just as Amy would want. Luv you guysxx (sic)"

He wrote: "I don't have words to express my gratitude and love to you all. You never allow us to go through this alone. Thank you. Mitch."
Lily Allen has hit out at the music industry following the flop of her comeback album 'Sheezus'.
The feisty 29-year-old singer claims those in charge are "elder males" who "see women as weak" as she tried to justify the poor sales of her third record.
She told PressPlay: "The music industry is run mainly by elder males. It sits better with them to be able to assert their power and control over something that they see as weak and i think they probably see women as weak."
And they weren't the only ones who came in for a tongue lashing, with Lily also blasting BBC Radio 1 for recently dropping her from their playlist.
She fumed: "The truth is nobody knows what the f**k they're doing. They can pretend they've got a formula that works and [that] they 'know' they're exactly in control of the game but they're just not. No one knows."
This comes after Lily recently admitted her songs weren't good enough on her third album.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Maybe the songs aren't good enough this time, who knows? I just know I can't wait to get back into the studio."
Lily - who went on a musical hiatus between 2011 and 2013, during which time she had daughters Ethel, two, and Marnie Rose, 18 months and wed Sam Cooper - also blamed her advisors.
She added: "I put my trust in other people, which I don't usually do. I usually go with my own gut feeling but maybe I wasn't feeling as confident as I have in the past because of all the hormones."
Justin Bieber is a "scary talent".
Canadian rockers Magic - who penned 'Never Say Never' for the pop star - were hugely impressed with Bieber when they worked with him and have praised his professionalism and talent.
Singer Nasri Atweh told the Daily Star newspaper: "Justin is a scary talent - people don't appreciate how talented the guy is. He knows what he likes and is hyper-focused, never lost or confused."
And he revealed Justin doesn't need many takes to get things right when recording.
Nasri added: "He's got a great voice, so he nails a track in one or two takes."
Justin isn't the only singer Nasri has written for, he has also penned tracks for stars including Cheryl Cole, but admitted he found it unfulfilling and is thrilled to now be writing for his own band.
He explained: "I'd made a lot of money, but I wasn't enjoying it. I started thinking these musicians were very narrow-minded and that I knew something they didn't."
The band are currently riding high in the charts with 'Rude', a song about a man being refused permission to marry his girlfriend by a prospective father-in-law but Nasri insists it is not autobiographical.
He said: "None of us have proposed. It's a scene so familiar from movies, but the song just came flooding out of me one day, no idea why. I thought it was just a throwaway, friendly song that might go Top 20."
