Alternative ending to Gone with the Wind

A script with an alternative ending to 'Gone with the Wind' is to be sold at auction.
The classic American Civil War movie - which starred Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara and Clark Gable as Rhett Butler - saw Butler walk out on his lover O'Hara while uttering the line, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn".
O'Hara was then seen vowing to move on from the relationship saying, "After all, tomorrow is another day", which saw the character hailed as a strong, independent woman - but it's now been revealed there could have been a more traditional ending.
An alternative script for the 1939 film - which is to be auctioned online next month and is expected to sell for up to $5,000 - swaps O'Hara's famous last line to something far more desperate.
It reads: "Rhett!... Rhett!... You'll come back. You'll come back... I know you will!"
Margaret Barrett of Heritage Auctions is selling the unique piece of film history - which is believed to have belonged to a production member and was eventually passed to a film fan who ran a bookshop - and she claims the alternative could've seen Leigh miss out on the Oscar she won for the role.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Barrett said: "In the original Scarlett comes across as a determined woman who will survive with or without Rhett, but this alternative ending is much more traditional.
"Her life has been ruined because her man left her. Scarlett is such enduring character because she is so independent. She is way ahead of her time in terms of how women were viewed."

Prince Harry asks Usain Bolt if he works out

Britain's Prince Harry asked Usain Bolt if he works out.
The 29-year-old royal questioned the six-time Olympic champion as they toured the athletes' village at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow yesterday (29.07.14).
After the Jamaican sprinter asked Harry if he partakes in regular exercise, the prince replied: "Do I work out? No - do you work out?"
Harry and Usain, 27, appeared to hit it off as they also discussed their love of chicken nuggets after it was rumoured the sprinter scoffed more than 1,000 of the meaty pieces during his time in 2008 Olympics.
The flame-haired hunk asked the athlete if he still tucks into the chicken treats regularly.
However, Usain revealed that there would be "no more chicken nuggets" for now as he had to eat properly in preparation for his 4X100m relay on Friday (01.08.14).
Harry's brother Prince William, 31, who was also involved in the conversation, then joked that the young royal should follow Usain's new rules on cutting out chicken nuggets because munching on them "every week" is unhealthy.
Harry hit back: "A box of nuggets every now and again is good for you."
William, who was joined by his wife Duchess Catherine replied: "Every now and again, not every week."

Rylan Clark lands record deal

Rylan Clark has landed a record deal.
The 'X Factor' star - who was branded a "joke" by judge Gary Barlow in 2012 - has bagged himself a deal with Universal and is planning to release a dance single under a different name to avoid immediate criticism.
A friend told The Sun newspaper: "Despite the abuse Rylan got from Gary Barlow about his voice, he has always wanted to release music.
"The tracks are dance-orientated so it is fair to say there will be some auto-tuning going on.
"He feels now is the time to get back into music as well as TV stuff. He's looking to put out the first track later this year under a different name to test the water. He is pretty confident people will like it."
After finding fame on the ITV singing competition two years ago, Rylan, 25, went on to win 'Celebrity Big Brother' in January 2013, before landing a hosting gig on Channel 5's 'Big Brother's Bit On the Side.'
It was rumoured earlier this year that the comedian was also being lined up alongside presenter Laura Whitmore, 28, to take over hosting duties from Caroline Flack and Matt Richardson on the 'X Factor' spin-off show, 'The Xtra Factor'.
However, Sarah-Jane Crawford was later confirmed to have bagged herself the job.

Kim Kardashian slams Adrienne Bailon

Kim Kardashian has accused Adrienne Bailon of kicking Rob Kardashian "when he's down".
The 33-year-old reality TV star has hit out at her brother's ex-girlfriend following her recent claims that dating the sock designer hurt her career.
The actress-and-singer - who dated Rob from 2007 to 2009 - suggested that appearing on the family's reality show 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' did her career more harm than good in an interview with Latina magazine.
A furious Kim wrote on Twitter in the early hours of Wednesday morning (30.07.14): "Funny how she says being with a Kardashian hurt her career yet the only reason she has this article is bc she is talking about a Kardashian
"So sad when people try to kick my brother when he is down #FamilyForever (sic)"
Kim took a further dig at the 30-year-old star by referring to the song 'Let It Go', which appears on the soundtrack to hit Disney film 'Frozen'.
She wrote: "#LetItGoooooLetItGoooooo (FROZEN VOICE) (sic)"
Adrienne, who claims Rob cheated on her during their two-year relationship, expressed her regrets over appearing on the Kardashians' E! reality show, saying: "To be stuck with that Kardashian label, that was so hurtful to me and to my career. I probably realised that too late - not that it would've affected my decisions in terms of who I dated, but it would've affected my decision to appear on the show."
Kim's defence of Rob - who never attended his sister's recent wedding to Kanye West and reportedly hasn't spoken to her since - comes as the 27-year-old star continues to battle weight problems which have plunged him into depression.
The brunette beauty has taken a firm approach with her sibling, insisting it's up to him to change his lifestyle.
She said: "I think I'm just more of the tough love kind of person. My personality is like, 'All right, you complain, you don't like it, get up and do something about it.' "

Peaches Geldof ‘failed by friends’

Peaches Geldof was failed by friends who ignored her drug use, a pal has claimed.
Gerry Agar says she knew the star - who died of a heroin overdose in April - was in "trouble" some time ago and reached out to encourage her to seek help after claiming others close to her refused to address her reliance on the narcotic.
Gerry - a close friend of Peaches' late mother Paula Yates - said: "I knew she was in trouble years ago and I tried to confront her about it.
"So many people around her knew about it but said nothing.
"But I'd lost my mother and my best friend to heroin and I didn't want to lose Peaches.
"I wrote her a letter but I never heard from her again."
The author hoped Peaches would turn her back on drugs for good when she married Thomas Cohen in 2012 and after seeing she had "tried" to quit the deadly habit after having sons Astala, two, and Phaedra, 15 months, was convinced she would win her battle.
However, despite apparent signs she had returned to heroin, Gerry claims Peaches' friends "turned a blind eye" and ignored her problem.
She added to Britain's Grazia magazine: "I knew she was trying to come off heroin and I thought she could make it.
"But then it started again.
"I knew it was happening. I think a lot of people did but turned blind eyes."

Orlando Bloom fights with Justin Bieber

Orlando Bloom has allegedly tried to punch Justin Bieber.
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor reportedly tried to hit the 20-year-old singer whilst out at Cipriani restaurant in Ibiza in the early hours of this (30.07.14) morning.
On video footage obtained by website TMZ, the 'Beauty and the Beat' hit maker can be heard shouting: "What's up b***h?"
TMZ also reported that after ducking the punch, Justin quickly left the venue as other guests at the party started applauding the English actor.
As well as Orlando and Justin, other stars at the party at Cipriani included Paris Hilton and P. Diddy.
It is unknown why the pair started fighting, but the troubled pop star has been linked to Orlando's model ex-wife, Miranda Kerr - the mother of his three-year-old son Flynn who he split from last October - in the past. The pair were even spotted partying together after a Victoria's Secret fashion show in 2012.
To add yet more fuel to the fire, in April 2014 Orlando enjoyed a meal out with Justin's on-off girlfriend Selena Gomez.
After the alleged punching incident, Justin Bieber posted - and then quickly deleted - a photo of Miranda on his Instagram account; the biggest indication yet that the feud was caused by his rumoured relationship with the brunette beauty.

David Beckham’s Miami MLS plans in jeopardy over stadium

David Beckham's plans to bring a Major League Soccer team to Miami are in jeopardy as he has yet to find a suitable location for the stadium.
The 39-year-old soccer star quit the professional sport in 2013 following a successful 20-year career and wants to create his own team in Florida but MLS commissioner Don Garber has warned that league will not approve a team until a stadium is secured.
He told ESPN: "Miami remains a top priority for us. But we are mindful of the challenges we had in the past and must have the right ownership group and stadium location. David has been working to secure additional partners, all, if approved, would be terrific MLS owners. David and his partners have not yet been able to secure a site that we believe provides the proper access and iconic presence that will help ensure success."
And he insisted that it must be a downtown location or else David's franchise bid will be quashed.
He added: "We remain focused on a downtown Miami location, and we will not expand to Miami unless we have a downtown site for the stadium."
David had considered a plot near the American Airlines arena on Biscayne Blvd, Miami, where basketball side Miami Heat play their home games, but the city did not give approval for the site.

Chase and Status shocked by Rihanna call

Chase & Status were shocked when Rihanna called them in the middle of the night.
The duo worked with the Barbadian beauty on her album 'Rated R' after she rang Saul Milton while he was asleep in bed with his girlfriend.
He said: "Our manager, Joe, had been talking with Jay Brown at Roc Nation. I got a call from Jay Brown who said, 'I've had a chat with Rihanna. You've got to do a session with us.' The night goes on and day goes on, then at 5am my phone rings and my girlfriend at the time is asleep next to me. 'Hey Saul, it's Rihanna' My girlfriend goes, 'Who's that?' and I whisper, 'It's Rihanna!' It was a strange time to get a call but Rihanna said she loved the tunes, particularly 'Eastern Jam'. Within a week we were in the studio with her, Mr Hudson, Pharrell, Drake..."
And his fellow producer Will Kennard was thrilled to get a MySpace message from Snoop Dogg.
Speaking on 'Relentless Ultra Presents Soundchain With Zane Lowe & Chase & Status', he said: "The first big thing that happened for us was a MySpace message from Snoop Dogg. It was something like 'Yo, I like your tune Eastern Jam. Send it to me. Church Ch-chow'. We sent him the track and two days later he sent it back - He did his own version, 'Snoop Dog Millionaire'!"
Catch 'Relentless Ultra Presents Soundchain With Zane Lowe & Chase & Status' on Sunday 3 August at 9.30pm, on MTV Music.

Damon Albarn: Rockers need to work more

Damon Albarn thinks rock stars need to do more work.
The former Blur frontman believes artists should follow his example and put more time into their music rather than waiting for inspiration to pop into their heads.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: "When I'm at home, I work nine-to-five, five days a week, period. If you do that, you get a f***ing lot done!
"The mythology of rock 'n' roll encourages you to wait for inspiration. But if you go back to early songwriters, it was just their job. They got up in the morning, had a gin and tonic and worked.
"I'm the same. I just don't do the gin and tonic!"
Meanwhile, the 46-year-old hunk would love to team up with former Oasis star Noel Gallagher at some point because he believes they'd make good music together.
He explained: "I love the craic of having fun with other musicians. Noel is a great musician and such a funny guy to be around.
"He's great company, and sometimes that's as good a reason as any to make music with someone."
Damon is currently busy with his first solo album 'Everyday Robots', which was released in April, but he recently revealed he's signed on to write a musical.
He said earlier this month: "It's funny for me to say 'I'm writing a musical', but, yes, that's what I'm doing next.
"It's something I've always wanted to do because musicals are great when they're done well."

Rita Ora kept forgetting Fifty Shades of Grey lines

Rita Ora kept forgetting her lines whilst filming her scenes in 'Fifty Shades of Grey.'
The 23-year-old singer - who landed the role of Mia Grey in the erotic drama - had someone feeding her script to her through an earpiece because nerves got the better of her and she couldn't remember her words.
Speaking to 'Access Hollywood', she said: "I had to have someone in my ear on set telling me what to say before I said it because I was honestly like so nervous I forgot everything that I had learnt."
However, the blonde beauty credits her co-star Dakota Johnson - who plays the leading lady Anastasia Steele - for helping her get over her first-time acting fears.
She explained: "She's [Dakota is] a great friend of mine and she really eased me, and she was really nice to take care of me."
Meanwhile, the 'RIP' hitmaker - who has read all three novels by E. L. James - feels incredibly proud to have been chosen to take part in the movie adaptation, which is being directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson.
She said: "The movie is as visually close as it can be [to the book]. I think the actors are phenomenal in this and I'm just kind of honoured to be on the same wavelength as them.
"This being my first movie, it's pretty awesome."
'Fifty Shades of Grey' is set for release next year.

Ola Jordan wants Craig and Bruno off Strictly

Ola Jordan thinks Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli should be dropped from 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The professional dancer believes the judging panel on the show needs to be shaken up, but says head judge Len Goodman and former ballerina Darcey Bussell deserve to keep their seats.
She told OK! magazine: "Every year they change the dancers and we have new presenters now, so why not swap the judges? They are too comfortable. Let's get them nervous about the next series.
"[Who would I get rid of?] Well, I love Len because he is from a ballroom background and he is great anyway, and Darcey is lovely too, so I would keep them. Let's just say that."
Ola's husband James Jordan was recently dropped as a professional on the show, and despite tension between him and Craig, she doesn't think the judge is the reason behind his axing.
She said: "I think if Craig had anything to do with it, James wouldn't have returned a long time ago."
Ola's comments about the panel come after James also said he felt Bruno and Craig deserved to be fired.
He said: "It's the two on the end I don't like. One of them, I don't understand a word he says so I would get rid of him.
"And Craig is just rude. He's not a nice person. I'd be a great judge. I wouldn't treat it like a pantomime."

James Argent shed two stone for Lydia Bright

James 'Arg' Argent lost two stone to get Lydia Bright back.
The larger than life star, 26, has revealed he made sure he shed some pounds when he found out his ex-girlfriend, 23, was going to be returning to 'The Only Way is Essex'.
When asked how he felt when he heard she was going to be on the ITV2 reality show again, he replied: "My heart flipped. I knew I'd be spending time with her. I knew that it was time to sort my life out, so I lost two stone."
Arg admits he has been on a one-man mission to sort himself out in an attempt to get Lydia to notice him and win her back, but he is aware it's going to take time.
He added to Now magazine: "It's a long game. I'm maturing and Lydia's noticed. I'm moving out of home, I want to pass my driving test ... I want to impress Lydia.
"I know you should do things for yourself - and they say you can't love unless you love yourself. But everything I do is for Lydia."
Arg must have been doing something right as the pair - who split two years ago - recently slept together.
