Allison Williams to play Peter Pan

Allison Williams will play Peter Pan in a live TV broadcast of the musical.
The 'Girls' actress has been cast as the male protagonist in the three-hour live event for NBC, following on from the channel's successful 'The Sound Of Music' last year, which drew over 18 million viewers.
NBC's Twitter account said: "Dreams do come true! #Girls star Allison Williams will play Peter Pan in #PeterPanLive! (sic)"
A statement on NBC's website read: "Following in the footsteps of the phenomenally successful The Sound of Music LIVE! - which drew over 18 million viewers - comes this musical masterpiece that tells the beloved story of Peter Pan, the mischievous little boy who ran away to Neverland. Get ready for show-stopping stars, stunning costumes, extravagant sets and delightful music that will have everyone in your home singing along."
Allison's casting comes just weeks after it was revealed that Christopher Walken will take on the role of Captain Hook, Pan's nemesis.
NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt said: "He's one of the most unique actors in our business. He might really just be a song and dance man at heart... This might be the first tap dancing Captain Hook you've ever seen."

Orlando Bloom ‘won’t tolerate disrespectful Justin Bieber’

Orlando Bloom refuses to tolerate Justin Bieber because he "doesn't respect women".
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star allegedly tried to punch the 20-year-old singer at swanky at restaurant Cipriani in Ibiza in the early hours of this morning (30.07.14) because the 37-year-old actor thinks the Never Say Never hitmaker needs to be "put in his place".
An insider told HollywoodLife.com: "Orlando is not a violent person. In fact, he's all about promoting peace.
"However, he will not tolerate a person, Justin Bieber included, who doesn't respect women. He thinks Justin needs to be put in his place and Orlando is well aware that Justin has badmouthed him before."
An eye-witness who claims to have seen the 'Lord of the Rings' star's alleged swing at the 'Beauty and a Beat' hitmaker insists the actor deliberately didn't connect with the pop star.
They told the website: "In mid-throw Orlando realised what he was doing and pulled back, making it look awkward and something that didn't connect."
It is not known why the pair clashed by Justin has been linked to Orlando's ex-wife Miranda Kerr, and the singer sparked further speculation she was the reason for their altercation by posting a picture of the Victoria's Secret model on his Instagram account and then quickly deleting it.
What's more, in April 2014 Orlando had a meal with Justin's on/off girlfriend Selena Gomez.
On video footage of the alleged punching incident obtained by website TMZ, Justin can be heard shouting: "What's up b***h?"
TMZ also reported that Justin ducked the punch and quickly left the venue as other guests at the party started applauding the English actor.
As well as Orlando and Justin, other stars at the party at Cipriani included Paris Hilton and P. Diddy.
Orlando split from Miranda last October and has three-year-old son Flynn with the model.

Prince Andrew visits troops in Afghanistan

Britain's Prince Andrew paid a morale boosting visit to UK troops in Afghanistan this week.
The Duke of York visited Camp Bastion and Kandahar Airfield and later visited the state-of-the-art Role 3 Hospital where he praised medical personnel for their work with injured service men and women.
He said: "The medical advances made at the Hospital in Camp Bastion over the last few years are just outstanding - I know some of the people who have been through here and I've seen them on a number of occasions. The trauma expertise that you've been able to develop here and take back to the NHS is remarkable. It is a very valuable service that you provide, so thank you very much indeed. I hope the rest of your tour goes well."
Prince Andrew's visit came as UK troops prepare to wind up operations in Afghanistan.
Lieutenant Colonel Will Davies, Commanding Officer of the Manoeuvre Battle Group Brigade Advisory Team, said: "It's not every day that you meet a member of the Royal Family. To meet the Duke of York in the middle of Helmand is really something. I know that the Queen's Dragoon Guards' soldiers really enjoyed speaking to him and chatting about how this place is changing. This will be his last visit here and we are really grateful to him for coming so close to the end."

Blur album axed because it was ‘hot’ in Hong Kong

Damon Albarn claims Blur never finished their comeback album because it was "too hot".
The 'Beetlebum' singer and his bandmates gathered at a Hong Kong recording studio last year to set down their first new LP since 2007's 'Think Tank' but the sessions were aborted for "practical" reasons.
Damon - who released his debut solo album 'Everyday Robots' last year - said: "I like making records in short periods of time if I can. It was a different process with 'Everyday Robots' because that was really thought out, but sometimes it's great to get some amazing energy and do something in 10 days.
"I think in Hong Kong it might have just been a bit too hot. There was too much commuting between where we were staying and where we were recording, and it was a bit too hot.
"I think that's why we didn't get it finished. It's just practical - there's only so much you can do."
Damon is now unsure whether any of the recordings will ever see the light of day as so much time has elapsed.
He told NME magazine: "There are about 15 songs we recorded in Hong Kong. The annoying thing is that if I'd been able to write the lyrics there and then about being there, we'd have finished the record.
"But sometimes, if you can't get it all done at once, it dissipates really and I don't know what I'd sing about now with that record.
"There's some great tunes on there, but it may just be one of those records that never comes out."

Demi Lovato to appear on Nick Jonas’ solo record

Demi Lovato will appear on Nick Jonas' solo record.
The 'Skyscraper' hitmaker - who previously dated Nick's brother Joe - has worked on a song with her old friend for his first album since splitting from the Jonas Brothers.
Nick told E! News: "We did one for my record. It's a great song that we both love. Her voice is just amazing on it. She's the real deal. It's the perfect fit for this record."
This come after Nick surprised fans on the opening night of Demi's 'Neon Lights' tour in Vancouver in February when he joined her on stage.
The duo belted out three tracks, 'Stop The World', 'Catch Me' and 'Here We Go Again' together, while Nick, 21, played the guitar.
The 21-year-old beauty had originally hired the hunky star as the musical and creative director of her tour a few months ago.
Nick said previously: "I'm overseeing video content, wardrobe, lighting and staging. And then I'm extending into the musical side of things, which includes creating the arrangements for the songs.
"I'm building what Demi wanted, which is a show without stops and starts."
The performer has been close friends with Demi for a number of years and wanted to make sure he did her proud.
He continued: "I was immediately excited when I was offered the position. The relationship that Demi and I had over eight years really gives me the insight into how to best communicate with her and her team."

Catherine Tyldesley: Eva is more ‘vulnerable’

Coronation Street's Eva Price is showing her "vulnerable side".
Catherine Tyldesley says it's "nice to see" a softer side to her soap alter-ego after finding love with Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) in recent months.
Brassy Eva's latest love connection is a stark contrast to her bad experiences with Nick Tilsley and Rob Donovan.
Appearing on ITV's 'Lorraine' this morning (30.07.14), Catherine said: "We are definitely seeing a more vulnerable side to her because she has found happiness and she's finally with a guy she can trust.
"She has had so many trust issues in the past going right back from when her dad walked out on her as a child. It has given her a lot of issues.
"She's really settled now with Jason and she's very happy in the Rovers [Return pub] so we are seeing a different side to her which is really nice."
While Catherine, 30, is enjoying more positive times for Eva, she admits she misses her former on-screen mum Michelle Collins and grandmother Sue Johnston.
She said: "I was chatting to Sue yesterday. I miss them very much. You become so close. Obviously when they are playing your mum and your grandma, you see them more than your real mum and real grandma, so it's weird without them there but we do keep in touch."

Ola Jordan learnt English by watching EastEnders

Ola Jordan learnt English by watching 'EastEnders'.
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' professional has credited the popular BBC One show with helping her improve her English after moving to Britain from Poland, much to the amusement of her husband, James Jordan.
Speaking while launching and tasting the new refreshing Gallo Family Vineyards Summer Rose on London's South Bank yesterday (29.07.14), she said: "When I first moved to England, I picked up more English words by watching 'EastEnders' - I loved the show and still do now. I also consider myself to be a Londoner thanks to 'EastEnders' for giving me a cockney-Polish accent! James loves to tease me about it."
The blonde beauty rose to fame starring on 'Strictly' and Ola has admitted that she isn't ready to leave, despite wanting children in the near future.
She shared: "I've been at 'Strictly' for almost 10 amazing years now - I'm not planning to leave any time soon but hope to have two beautiful children with James. I'd like a boy and a girl but I'm just excited to be blessed with children."
Ola's husband and fellow 'Strictly' dancer James left the BBC show last year along with the show's long-time host, Bruce Forsyth, and the star will miss them both dearly.
She added: "It is going to be strange without James and Brucie this autumn on 'Strictly' but I'm going to stick with it. James is supporting me all the way and I'm sure I'll see Brucie again soon."

Alesha Dixon wants talk show

Alesha Dixon wants her own talk show like Oprah Winfrey.
The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge has revealed she is a huge fan of the American chat show legend - who ruled the airwaves with her self-titled show for 25 years - and hopes to one day tackle "real issues" on a show of her own.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "One day I'd love to have my own show.
"Oprah Winfrey is my biggest idol. I absolutely love her and admire her. Her show, I think it's such a powerful platform for people to want to go and express what's going on in their lives and social issues.
"That kind of show, one day, for me, would be so appealing. To have something that is real and deals with real issues and brings attention and light to areas that I'm passionate about.
"I don't know when, or how, or what time it should go out, but it's a dream I have for the future."
The 35-year-old beauty admits she would be open to a spot on the 'Loose Women' panel, joining her pals Jamelia and Myleene Klass, but is concentrating on her music career for the time being.
She explained: "I'm a big fan of 'Loose Women', I love the fact it allows you to have a voice and opinion, it's an incredible show. And I love watching Jamelia and Myleene on there - I think they're doing a brilliant job. For me, at this moment, it's music - that's my passion, that's why I started out in this industry and that's where my heart is."
Alesha is also friends with 'X Factor' judge Cheryl Cole and says she isn't surprised by the singer's secret wedding to French restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini earlier this month.
She said: "I'm so happy for her. I love people that go for it in life. Life's too short and we're all far too judgemental. I say this, if she's happy then that's good enough for me. She's living in the moment and good for her."
Alesha Dixon launched Virgin Media's Race Bolt at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, where she set a time of 5.56 seconds on the 40 metre track, only 1.7 seconds slower than the virtual Usain Bolt.
The Race Bolt challenge is open daily to the public at Glasgow Green until August 3.

Ian Ziering: Sharknado 2 ‘challenging’

Ian Ziering found filming 'Sharknado 2' "challenging".
The 50-year-old actor has reprised his role as Fin Shepherd in the TV movie alongside Tara Reid, but he admits he found it difficult to shoot his part because he was struggling to deal with the freezing temperature in New York at the time.
Ian, who was born in New Jersey, explained: "'Sharkardo 2' takes place in New York City this time and it's a bigger storm and I've got a bigger chain saw.
"We filmed in March and it was so cold. There was not one day above freezing. It was challenging because the weather was so cold. It really made it tough to work with."
However, his co-star Tara - who he worked with in Los Angeles last year on the first movie 'Sharknado' - helped boost morale and he was glad when it was announced that she would be reprising her role as his on-screen ex-wife April Wexle again.
He told BANG Showbiz exclusively: I was so happy to work with her again. She's such a doll and she's so fun and I really like Tara."
When asked what the future holds for his alter-ego Fin and Tara's character April in the upcoming film, he replied: "Well, you're gonna have to wait and see because I'm not going to give anything away. But Finn is a family man and he does everything he can do to save his family, so that's really what it's all about."
'Sharknado 2: The Second One' airs Thursday 31 July at 9pm on Syfy.

Moby signs up for Intruder movie

Moby has signed up to appear in new movie 'Intruder'.
The singer/songwriter - whose real name is Richard Melville Hall - will star as a music teacher to a wannabe classical musician, who will be portrayed by Scottish actress Louise Linton, who is also producing the upcoming film.
A source told BANG Showbiz that Moby requested his scenes to be filmed in Los Angeles, where he lives, which resulted in the crew frantically trying to negotiate travel arrangements for the equipment from Portland to California.
Louise has described Moby as a "pleasure to work with" and they have become really close friends already during filming.
Billed as a disturbing thriller to make audiences think twice about being home alone, 'Intruder' has been described as a combination of 'Paranormal Activity' and classic Alfred Hitchcock films.
The psychological movie is the work of acclaimed production designer and director, Travis Zariwny, who has previously worked with Hollywood veterans, Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett and Shia LaBeouf.
Louise - who is producing the film as part of Stormchaser Films, the company she set up - recently completed filming in the as-yet-unnamed biopic of Howard Hughes, which is being directed by Tinsel Town legend, Warren Beatty.
Louise has already starred in 'Bound' and 'The Echo' and has previously worked with Travis, having already teamed up with him on the 2013 sci-fi film, 'Scavengers'.
News of Moby's film role comes after he had to deal with a home invader in real life as in a case of art imitating life the musician discovered an intruder in his home in Los Angeles in 2011.
But this incident was significantly less scary than the upcoming film, as he offered the trespasser $20 and a jumper before asking him to leave.

Iggy Azalea has cameo in Fast and Furious 7

Iggy Azalea is to make a cameo appearance in 'Fast & Furious 7'.
The curvaceous rapper filmed scenes for the upcoming action thriller about "two weeks ago" according to Vin Diesel, who stars as Dominic Toretto in the film franchise.
The 'Riddick' actor revealed the news when he was asked by French radio station Skyrock FM to choose a song from their playlist that he'd most like to dance to.
Choosing Iggy's hit single 'Fancy', he said: "Iggy Azalea. I just worked with her two weeks ago. I guess you'll be the first person that knows this.
"She has a cameo in 'Fast & Furious 7', so I'm going to be loyal to Iggy."
Filming on the upcoming seventh instalment was delayed last year after the movie's star, Paul Walker, died in a car accident in California before his brothers stepped in to help with his final scenes.
Iggy will appear alongside the deceased star as well as Vin Diesel, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham and Jordana Brewster.
'Fast & Furious 7' is scheduled for release on April 3, 2015.
