James Franco says 'Child of God' is "ten times darker" than 'No Country for Old Men'.
The '127 Hours' actor stars in and directs the upcoming film adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's novel of the same name and he's revealed audiences will be shocked to find the film has an even darker theme than the 2007 movie, also based on a novel written by McCarthy.
He said: "Cormac McCarthy ... who wrote 'The Road' and 'No Country for Old Men', this ['Child of God'] is one of his early books, his third book. 'Child of God', it's very, very dark. If you think 'No Country for Old Men' is dark then this is like ten times darker."
The 36-year-old star - who has numerous credits as an actor, director and producer to his name - claims he doesn't have an overly dark personality but likes to take on a diverse range of roles.
Quizzed on whether he's a dark person, he told 'Live! with Kelly and Michael': "Sometimes. I mean, obviously I do comedies and stuff like that, but it's nice to have a little darkness in there every once in a while. Not that I'm an unhappy guy or sit in my house brooding or anything."
Jake Bugg has only been to "about seven" gigs.
The 20-year-old singer admits watching other people perform "messes with his head" as it makes him worry too much about his own shows, so he would rather just enjoy music alone instead of seeing it live in a crowd.
He said: "I've only been to about seven gigs in my whole life.
"I think as a performer it messes with your head a bit. You think, 'What are they doing that I'm not doing?' when you should really just get on with what you do."
When it comes to his own music, Jake feels "disappointed" in himself if he doesn't play his guitar every day."
He told NME magazine: "I feel disappointed if I don't pick up my guitar in the day. I feel like I've not done anything. I'm not being productive."
And the 'Lightning Bolt' hitmaker admitted he never stops working because nothing relaxes him more than coming up with new music.
He added: ""Relaxing for me is writing songs and having my guitar there."
Eddie Cibrian believes his new reality TV show will prove he is devoted to LeAnn Rimes.
The 41-year-old actor, who tied the knot with the country singer in 2011 after their affair led to the breakdown of their first marriages in 2009, insists they're a solid couple despite constant rumours their relationship is on the rocks.
The 'LeAnn & Eddie' star told PEOPLE magazine: "The biggest global misconception would be that we're not two people who are really in love with each other, that there are ulterior motives to our relationship. But people just don't get it. Hopefully people will get a chance to see how we just click."
The 'Best Man Holiday' star's children with ex-wife Brandi Glanville, Mason, 11, and Jake, seven, won't appear on the VH1 series, but LeAnn insists she loves the boys.
The 31-year-old 'Blue' hitmaker said: "People are always wanting to make it a story of me being a homewrecker and trying to take someone's kids. They take the love I have for my family and twist it around in some weird, sick way."
The blonde beauty also left her first husband, Dean Sheremet, to be with Eddie after they met on the TV movie 'Northern Lights.'
The former 'Sunset Beach' star previously said: "We were both married when we fell in love. Was it the best way to start off? Of course not, but it happened."
Chad Kroeger bought Avril Lavigne a lavish 17-carat diamond ring for their first wedding anniversary.
The 'Here's to Never Growing Up' hitmaker, who married the Nickelback frontman, 39, at Château de La Napoule in the South of France on 1 July 2013, admitted she is still in shock over his generous gift.
The 29-year-old singer shared a photograph of them, in which she is wearing the dazzling piece of jewellery, on Twitter on Thursday (31.07.14), with the caption: "I still can't believe my 1 year anniversary gift. 17 carat emerald cut. Wow. I love my hubby (sic)"
The new sparkler is larger than the 14-carat pear-shaped engagement ring the rocker proposed to the blonde beauty with in early 2012, but slightly smaller than her 20-carat emerald wedding ring, which is estimated to have cost approximately $1 million.
The 'Complicated' singer, who was previously married to Sum 41 star Deryck Whilbley, recently admitted she can't wait to start a family with Chad, but insisted they are too busy at the moment.
She said: "I'm really focused on my career at the moment.
"Down the road, I would love to be a mom, just not right now."
Chad also previously said: "We both want [children]. We just need to find a time we're both at home to get around to it."

"There's a song about Luca and a song about my separation and my love for this person, that maybe we're not meant to be together, or maybe we are. It's very, very personal."
The blonde beauty's album became "a lot heavier and darker" as a result of her personal problems.
She explained: "I think I just needed to get that out. And once I did get that out a lot of fun came."
Hilary is excited to be back in the spotlight following a five-year hiatus from the music industry, but learned a lot about herself during that time.
She said: "The thing for me was that I really toured for five years straight...and I don't think anyone gave me the credit as an artist. I was having the best time, but after about five years, I was like, I have no life, I have, like, two friends, I'm never home, I'm never with my family."
She added: "I kind of needed to shut it all down -- it was time for me to be a person and learn who I wanted to be."

She then asked her publicist to contact her husband, saying: "Can you please tell him that I spilled the beans?"
It seems the singer was desperate to keep the news a secret, as she also told her bump: "I'm sorry, baby."
Kelly first sparked rumors she's expecting a boy when she was spotted browsing for blue baby clothes at children's supply store Juvenile Shop in Sherman Oaks, California, earlier this month.
An eye-witness at the time revealed that Kelly was cooing over the tiny clothing and reportedly said: "Oh my god, this is so little ... this is so cute!"
The 'Motivation' hitmaker previously praised Tim for being "super supportive" during her pregnancy.
She said: "He's so hands on and I'm just so blessed.

The 'Summertime Sadness' hitmaker, who split from the Scottish musician in June after three years together, admits they were not a good match, as their relationship was "very rewarding, but very difficult."
Reflecting on their time together, the 29-year-old star told the September issue of Fashion magazine: "It's been a tenuous and tumultuous three years ... It was very rewarding, but very difficult.
"Trying to get consistency and normality within the dynamic of that relationship has been impossible. He's unwell and I'm unwell in some ways, and psychologically we've been through a lot together."
Lana, who has since moved on with Vogue photographer Francesco Carrozzini, hopes to settle down in the future.
She said: "I would love to find someone I could share my life with and be married to. I would love children, too. Hopefully they're not as bad as I am."

She said: "We are currently not together. He is a wonderful person. But there are some things with which he has to deal. I will not explain it in detail. This was hard on our relationship, I no longer felt free. We'll see how it goes."
Ryan Seacrest's friends are allegedly worried his girlfriend might be a "gold digger."
The 'American Idol' host, 39, started dating 24-year-old fitness trainer Shayna Taylor last summer, but his close pals reportedly think she is only using him for his connections and fortune.
A source told the National Enquirer: "His buddies are urging him to take his time."
Shortly after she was photographed holidaying with Ryan, who split from 'Safe Haven' actress Julianne Hough in April 2013 after three years of dating, in Uruguay and Argentina last July, Shayna landed a modelling contract with Wilhelmina Models, and now hopes to carve out a career as a fitness guru in Los Angeles.

The Atomic Kitten singer, 33, declined to comment, but a neighbour, who asked not to be named, told the MailOnline: "It looked like he had been taking something like cocaine or ecstasy I think. He was behaving very strangely - actually it was quite frightening.
"A woman who was driving down the road was so upset by what he was doing that she stopped and dialled 999 for the police. It all happened at about 6pm on Wednesday evening and the police were here very quickly. It took quite a few of them to restrain him."
She added: "Then an ambulance arrived and the policemen climbed into the back with their prisoner and off they went. It was quite an unusual spectacle."
Kerry, who recently gave birth to her first child, Dylan-Jorge, with George and has four other children from previous marriages, gushed about her fiancé earlier this week, saying she had finally found the "right man."
She said: "I know this time I'm marrying the right guy and I won't be doing it for the wrong reasons. I can't wait to be Mrs Kay.

She said: "I am very proud to say I have assisted many friends and family, my sisters, to get tattoos. I get them drunk, I wine and dine them, I take them to the tattoo parlor, they come out with tattoos. The next day they're like, 'What the hell happened?!'
"I can convince you of getting a tattoo in the worst place possible. I am very convincing. That's why I've always been sort of the bad influence out of all the girls in my family."
Despite having no visible tattoos, the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star also told David Letterman on his late night chat show that her love of body art might not be a secret for much longer.
She said: "I'm running out of private places to put them on.
"My grandmother says that I look like a newspaper naked."

Ne-Yo is suing his former accountant for $8 million.
The 'Closer' hitmaker, real name Shaffer Smith, has filed a new lawsuit against his one-time "manager, confidant, trusted adviser and friend" Kevin Foster in Manhattan's Federal Court in New York City, claiming he swindled him out of $4.5 million.
In court documents, obtained by the New York Daily News, the 31-year-old star says he agreed to let the accounting company Foster was working for handle all of his "business management and accounting needs," ensuring he "was financially situated as to maintain his accustomed lifestyle for the remainder of his life," after they were first introduced in 2005.
Foster subsequently left the firm to start his own company and Ne-Yo accompanied him, as they had "developed a personal relationship, with Smith eventually placing complete trust in Foster's handling Smith and his companies' finances and affairs."
But the 'Sexy Love' singer claims he later discovered that Foster had moved some of his money without his permission and when he hired another accountancy firm, they "uncovered instances of Foster engaging in self-dealing and inappropriate conduct," which allegedly included forging Ne-Yo's name on loan documents and investing the star's money into a struggling water company, without telling him that he was the president and CFO of the venture.
The Grammy Award-winning singer is seeking the return of the $4.5 million, in addition to the $3.5 million fees he paid Foster since 2005.
