Helen Flanagan quits Twitter

Helen Flanagan has quit Twitter.
The 23-year-old star usually enjoys keeping her 500,000 followers updated with the latest goings-on in her life on a daily basis, but she has stopped tweeting on the social networking site for good after being inundated with spiteful messages from trolls.
Her spokesperson told the Daily Star newspaper: "People were being really nasty about her."
The former 'Coronation Street' star - who is dating footballer Scott Sinclair - hasn't tweeted since July 22 when she wrote: "I am a vampire".
Helen has sent more than 10,000 tweets on the social networking site and amassed a large following, while she follows 1,464 people herself.
But she has stirred up some controversy while using the social media platform in the past, such as in March 2013 when she posted a picture of herself wearing a T-shirt in support of animal charity PETA shortly after posting images of her carrying leather bags.
In response to the criticism, she wrote: "I'm sorry but this is ridiculous leave me alone! I've done something for charity - exotic animals are killed in a cruel way for there skins, leather is not! Stop picking on me. Enough. (sic)"
And in 2012, Helen posted a picture of herself pointing a gun to her head just hours after the Sandy Hook shootings in the US.
She later went on ITV's Daybreak to apologise for sharing the picture and broke down in tears while admitting it was the "stupidest thing" she's ever done.
Helen is also a keen Instagram user but she hasn't uploaded a picture on the photo-sharing website since July 21.

Arthur Darvill tight-lipped on Broadchurch secrets

Arthur Darvill has been trained to keep 'Broachurch' storylines a secret.
The 32-year-old actor won't give fans even the smallest hint about the upcoming second series of the hit ITV drama and jokes that he's now "unfoxable" following his unique experience on the first series.
Arthur learned to how to be stealthy about the plot after viewers - including his own nan - tried to pry the identity of schoolboy Danny Latimer's murderer out of him.
Talking to BANG Showbiz at the launch of new free-to-air channel truTV UK in east London yesterday (31.07.14), he said: "When the last series was on, everywhere I went everyone was like, 'Yeah, great, so who did it?' or bring it up in conversation trying to fox me, but I'm unfoxable. I've been trained in the ways of the fox."
The former 'Doctor Who' star - who plays Reverend Paul Coates on the show - couldn't even pop to the shops or visit his nan for a cup of tea without being bombarded with questions.
He joked: "It used to happen quite a lot at the supermarket, my family friends, around my nan's house for a cup of tea. I can't even tell my nan, much to her frustration."
The second series of 'Broadchurch' is currently being filmed in Dorset and according to Arthur, he and his co-stars Olivia Colman and David Tennant don't have much time to kick back and relax as their filming schedule is very demanding.
He shared: "There's a lot of work being done. There's not much hair being let down. It's all very busy at the moment."

Katy Perry: Divorce killed dream

Katy Perry says her divorce was the "death of a dream".
The 'Roar' hitmaker was left heartbroken when her marriage to Russell Brand ended in 2011 after just 14 months and she says the split was incredibly "traumatic".
She told Rolling Stone magazine: "It was emotionally traumatic for me. It was the death of a dream. I was in fairytale land, and the reality of it wasn't so."
However, the 29-year-old beauty - who has subsequently dated John Mayer and recently been romantically linked with producer Diplo - doesn't want to seem "desperate" by continually talking about her failed marriage.
She added: "But I don't really like talking about it anymore, because it feels like a thousand lifetimes ago, and also it makes me look desperate, like I need it for attention."
These days, the 'Part of Me' hitmaker claims she is more attracted to "colourful personalities" than any specific type of person.
She said: "I'm interested in colourful personalities. Look, I can't be perfect. I don't know. I think you love who you love. You learn over time. I mean, each one has been different. I tweeted the other day that I'm just looking for the prince that fits my glass Jordans slipper."

John Legend: Parents’ divorce was tough

John Legend found it "traumatic" when his parents split up.
The 'All of Me' hitmaker - who is married to Chrissy Tiegen - knows divorce is common in modern society, but admits he initially struggled to cope when his mother and father went their separate ways when he was a child.
He told People magazine: "I was 10 years old when my parents got divorced. It's a pretty common story in America, and it's a pretty tough time for kids, especially if they're still at home in the middle of growing up."
"Seeing my family fall apart was a traumatic moment."
John - who is working with Turnaround for Children, an organisation which helps schools through teacher training - credits the "emotional support" he received at school for getting him through the difficult time.
He said: "It was important to have teachers and counselors at school who could give emotional support.
"All of these people took extra time to show me that they cared and were going to hold me accountable."
The 35-year-old singer was very proud to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania and thinks completing his English studies was a sign he could go on to be successful.
He said: "One of the most determining factors of your success in life is whether you stick with something. Finishing school is a manifestation of that."

Johnny Depp performs with Aerosmith

Johnny Depp performed with Aerosmith in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (30.07.14).
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor joined his close pal Steven Tyler and bandmates Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer, Joe Perry and Brad Whitford at The Forum in Inglewood where they played 'Big Ten Inch Record' together to the delight of the crowd.
As Johnny left the stage, Steven shouted: "LA, give it up for Johnny Depp! Lord knows I love that man. F**k yeah."
Meanwhile, Perry recently revealed that he enjoyed a jam session with Sir Paul McCartney, Alice Cooper and the actor in his own recording studio.
He told the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper: "It's the great ego leveller. I was in the studio with Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp, playing guitar, and the three of us are looking at each other like, hey, we're sitting here with Paul McCartney! And we're all looking at each other like open-mouthed kids.
"Paul was really nice. He's all about business (when he's recording). At 72 he can still hit all those notes... It's a project that we're keeping under wraps for now. There will be an announcement when the time is right...
"I met him once or twice over the years to say hello. To spend six or eight hours in a studio with him recording! He makes you feel like you're recording with just another guy. He just happens to be a motherf***ing huge talent!"

Joe Manganiello is ‘like a unicorn’

Joe Manganiello is "like a unicorn in the world of actors".
The 37-year-old actor insists that, unlike many other famous faces in Hollywood, he has honed his enviable physique through sheer hard work.
He told Men's Health magazine: "A lot of the actors who are on the cover of lifestyle magazines look like they've had their waistline airbrushed or they're wearing winter clothes or whatever.
"I see them and think, 'That guy doesn't work out, I know that guy and he smokes two packs of cigarettes a day and is a complete drunk on the weekends. Now he's putting out an illusion on the cover of a glossy magazine.' "
Joe, who plays Alcide in 'True Blood', added: "It's absurd to me. I'm athletic and I'm healthy. I'm like a unicorn in the world of actors."
The hunky star - who is rumoured to be dating 'Modern Family' actress Sofia Vergara - explained that one of his biggest motivations to work out was having to spend much of stripper movie 'Magic Mike' without a shirt.
He said: "When you're shirtless every day there's no let up. So we spent a fortnight doing thousands of push-ups, thousands of curls, thousands of lat raises."

The Libertines rehearsed for one hour before comeback gig

The Libertines only rehearsed for one hour prior to their sell-out show at London's Hyde Park last month.
While the group - who reunited for the gig at the British Summer Time Festival - played two warm up shows in Glasgow, their only planned rehearsal in Hamburg, Germany, was disrupted when singer Pete Doherty "kidnapped" the band in the camper van he now lives in.
Drummer Gary Powell told Mojo: "While we were inside looking around he decided to kidnap us and drove off. We ended up down the Reeperbahn getting hassled by some prostitutes and watching the football. Hilarious!"
The Libertines formed in 1997 and were originally signed to Rough Trade before they split in 2004, after their success was often eclipsed by singer Pete's addictions to crack cocaine and heroin.
The band later reformed in 2010 for massive reunion shows at Leeds and Reading Festivals and four years later they are aiming for another comeback.
Speaking about the Libertine's comeback, singer Carl Barat previously said: "I'm not sure if it was a triumph but it was certainly unpredictable, as most things with this always band are."

Foxes starstruck by Pharrell Williams

Foxes was starstruck when Pharrell Williams asked her to support him on tour.
The 'Holding Onto Heaven' hitmaker, real name Louisa Rose Allen, is a huge fan of the 'Happy' singer and still can't believe he personally asked for her to be his support act on his European tour.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: "I couldn't quite believe he knew who I was. He said he was a really big fan, he loved my sound and that I was really unique. I did this cover of his song 'Happy' and we chatted about that. He made me feel really comfortable, he's so chilled.
"I remember being a kid and just looking up to him and thinking he's just the king of music."
It's a big year for the 25-year-old star, who will make her acting debut in an episode of the upcoming eighth series of the hit BBC sci-fi drama 'Doctor Who' but she admitted she initially had some reservations.
She explained: "It's more singing than acting. That's why I'm doing it. Acting isn't something I thought I would get into.'

Orlando Bloom dating Erica Packer?

Orlando Bloom has reportedly been "frolicking" with Erica Packer.
The 'Lord of the Rings' actor - who got into an altercation with Justin Bieber in Ibiza in the early hours of Wednesday (30.07.14) morning - was seen looking close to the singer on the island of Formentera on Thursday (31.07.14) and showed no signs of being upset about his row with the teenage singer, the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column reports.
Erica is the ex-wife of Australian billionaire James Packer, who has most recently been romantically linked to Orlando's former wife Miranda Kerr.
Orlando and Justin reportedly got into a fight about Miranda - who the 'Believe' hitmaker was romantically linked with during her marriage to the British actor - at upmarket eatery Cipriani.
'The Hobbit' star attempted to punch the singer after Justin reportedly told him, "Say hi to Miranda for me.
Miranda's lawyer previously insisted that rumours she cheated on Orlando, with whom she has three-year-old son Flynn, with the 'Confident' singer after the Victoria's Secret fashion show in 2012 were "false and defamatory."
And the Australian beauty recently denied she and James were romantically involved.
She said: "We've been friends for years. [Rumours] happen all the time with me, it happens to Orlando [too]. We understand it. As long as we both know [the truth], then it doesn't really matter what people think. People can speculate as much as they like.
"You're with a friend and then they assume that just because you're with a friend it's suddenly: that's your new partner. People just assume, just because you're going to have a coffee with someone or have dinner, then suddenly you're dating!"
However, earlier this week it was claimed Miranda had been making secret visits to the businessman's hotel.

James Buckley: Inbetweeners cast like ‘football team’

James Buckley thinks the 'Inbetweeners 2' cast is like an unfancied "football team".
The 26-year-old actor - who plays sex fantasist Jay Cartwright in the movie - believes fans want them succeed because they're not the typical movie stars.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "People root for us, like a football team. They want us to do well because we're very much the underdog.
"We don't look like film stars, and we don't act like them. In a way, we are very similar to 'The Inbetweeners' in that we are out of our depth."
Despite this, Buckley admits he and his co-stars Simon Bird, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison are not adverse to mixing with other stars as they've struck up a close friendship with the One Direction boys over the years.
He explained: "They love 'The Inbetweeners', which is great. When I read that Harry Styles introduced [his ex-girlfriend] Taylor Swift to 'The Inbetweeners' dance when they got together, I texted him and said, 'Good lad.' "
The 'Best Song Ever' hitmakers - also consisting of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - have even incorporated the 'Macarena' sequence - which appeared in the first 'Inbetweeners' film in 2011 - into their stage performance.
Buckley added: "They do the dance but they make it quite good."
Meanwhile, 'The Inbetweeners 2' is set to hit screens on August 6.
