Robin Williams had chemical substances in his system before he committed suicide.
The 63-year-old star hanged himself with a belt at his home in Tiburon, California yesterday (11.08.14) and also had "acute, superficial cuts" located "on the inside of his left wrist" from a pocket knife, according to the Marin County Sherif's Department.
During a press conference today (12.08.14), Lt. Keith Boyd confirmed the Oscar winner died from asphyxia due to hanging and chemical substances were found in his system during an autopsy after his body was discovered by his personal assistant.
Toxicology results will not be made available for approximately two-six weeks so further tests can be carried out.
Boyd said: "His body was in a position that looks like he's sitting in a chair, slightly off the ground, suspended between the belt that was wedged between the door and the door frame."
He added: "We want to be thorough. We want to be sure that we cover all of our bases...to make sure we're not forgetting anything else that we're not being presumptive and overlooking [pertinent details]."
Police are continuing to investigate 'The Birdcage' star's death, and no time of death has been specified, but they confirmed his wife, Susan Schneider, was the last person to see him alive.
Robin reportedly sought treatment in rehab last month and his spokesperson confirmed yesterday that he had been battling "severe depression" recently.
Kelly Brook says her boobs get bigger when people play with them.
The busy beauty has responded to rumours she could be pregnant by insisting she isn't expecting a child with her fiancé David McIntosh and suggested that the speculation may have been caused because her ample assets have grown.
She said: "Do I look pregnant? Maybe my boobs have got bigger. The more they're played with, the bigger they get."
The 34-year-old stunner has been working out more recently but admits the main reason she goes to the gym is so she can watch her fiancé work out.
She explained: "I've been going to the gym an awful lot. I'm basically going there to watch David work out. But I've also been lifting some heavy weights with him.
"My body doesn't respond in the same way as it does for him."
Kelly - who was described as a "heffer" by Katie Price last year - has come under fire from Twitter trolls who claimed she looked "fat" in recent bikini pictures, but the brunette beauty insists she isn't paying any attention to the criticism because she is the "happiest I've ever felt".
She added to heat magazine: "I just feel like a big, strong woman at the moment - I don't feel as dainty as I used to feel. I like it, actually, but I'd like to be a bit leaner.
"People are saying I'm big and I'm fat - I don't really care, because inside I'm the happiest I've ever felt."
Conan O'Brien broke the news of Robin Williams' death halfway through his talk show on Monday (11.08.14).
The 'Conan O'Brien Show' host was told the sad news that the 'Mrs. Doubtfire' actor - who was found dead aged 63 in an apparent suicide yesterday - had passed away while filming his Monday night show and after coming back from a commercial break he delivered the shocking news to his studio audience.
A clearly emotional Conan looked into the camera and said: "This is unusual and upsetting but we got some news during the show that Robin Williams has passed away. We tape these shows a few hours early and by the time you see this now on TV I'm sure that you'll know.
"I'm sorry to anyone in our audience that I'm breaking this news. This is absolutely shocking and horrifying and so upsetting on every level."
Later on in the show, one of Conan's guests, 'The Lego Movie' star Will Arnett, paid tribute to the Hollywood legend, who he starred alongside in 2006 comedy film 'RV'.
He said: "As funny as he was, he's truly one of the all time greats, he was even better as a person, he was just fantastic. He was one of the loveliest and sweetest and kindest guys I've ever worked with."
Several stars have also paid tribute to the actor - who leaves behind wife Susan Schneider and three kids, 31-year-old Zachary, 25-year-old Zelda and 22-year-old Cody - including Hugh Jackman, who described him as a "genius".
He tweeted: "Robin Williams ... true gentleman... acting great... comedic legend... genius. (sic)"
What's more, several fans have also paid tribute to the late actor at the iconic bench used in 1997 drama movie 'Good Will Hunting', one of his biggest films, at Boston Public Gardens in Boston.
Some have left flowers at the scene, while others have scrawled some of his famous quotes from his various movie roles on the nearby pavement.
Robin Williams hanged himself.
According to TMZ, sources familiar with the situation have told the website that the 'Mrs. Doubtfire' actor - who was found dead yesterday (11.08.14) aged 63 - took his own life by hanging himself inside the main part of his house in Tiburon, California.
Insiders also believe the Hollywood legend - who was in rehab last month - did not leave a suicide note.
Following news of Robin's death, his publicist released a statement, saying: "Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss.
"The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time."
Robin leaves behind his children Zak, 31, Zelda, 25, and Cody, 23, as well as his wife of three years Susan Schneider, who has been left "utterly heartbroken" by her husband's death.
She told the New York Times newspaper: "This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one if its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken.
"On behalf of Robin's family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope that the focus will not be on Robin's death but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."
Robin's daughter Zelda has also posted a touching tribute to her father on Instagram.
She posted a quote from 'The Little Prince' writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, which read: "You - you alone have the stars as no one else has them ... In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars are laughing, when you look at the sky at night. You - only you - will have stars that can laugh."
She added underneath the quotation: "I love you. I miss you. I'll try to keep looking up."
Law enforcement officials are expected to hold a news conference later today (12.08.14).
Taylor Swift and Lorde took part in a joint cookery lesson yesterday (11.08.14).
The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' hitmaker and her 17-year-old BFF both took to their Instagram accounts to reveal they spent the day cooking up a storm in Rhode Island.
In a message attached to a picture of the pair concentrating on their creations, Taylor wrote: "Thank you to Chef Jeanie at Ella's Fine Food and Drink for giving us the best and only cooking lesson (sic)"
Lorde also posted a picture of the pair preparing what looked like tacos and she praised Taylor's superb cooking ability.
She captioned the image: "took a wonderful cooking class in rhode island alongside the already-super-good-cook, ms.@taylorswift (sic)"
The pair often post pictures of each other on their social networking sites and the 'Royals' hitmaker recently praised her 24-year-old pal for being an "incredible role model".
She explained: "I think there are artists who are really incredible role models and that's something I admire. I feel like Taylor is a really good role model and I think that the girls who listen to her music are so devoted to her, and I think what she's saying is pretty cool. It's empowering.
"If we have the same work problems, we know each other's lives better. It's always good befriending people who do a similar thing."
The Foo Fighters have revealed the name for their upcoming album.
The eight track LP - which will be released in November - is to be named 'Sonic Highways'.
In a statement, rontman Dave Grohl said: "This album is instantly recognisable as a Foo Fighters record, but there's something deeper and more musical to it.
"I think that these cities and these people influenced us to stretch out and explore new territory, without losing our 'sound'."
Fans of the rock band were expecting an announcement after an eight-second video of a man growling, "All rise", was posted online last week.
The 44-minute album, which the group has produced alongside Butch Vig, will also be available as a vinyl edition with nine covers, one for each of the American cities the band recorded the new album in.
The original plan was for the band to record the album in different international cities but that was scrapped due to "financial impossibilities".
Despite the setback, Grohl said the album had turned out how he wanted.
He explained: "We're an American band. We wouldn't be the band we are if it wasn't for the cities here and their music."
The full track list for 'Sonic Highways' is as follows:
1. 'Something From Nothing'
2. 'The Feast and the Famine'
3. 'Congregation'
4. 'What Did I Do?/God as My Witness'
5. 'Outside'
6. 'In the Clear'
7. 'Subterranean'
8. 'I Am a River'
Kelly Rowland has unveiled her fan lyric video for 'The Game'.
The 33-year-old singer asked fans from across the world to submit videos and photographs of them dancing and singing along to the track, with the best being selected to appear in the promo.
Submissions came from cities across the world including London, Sao Paulo and New York and Kelly was blown away from her fans' response and the finished video.
She said: "The passion and talent shown by my fans blew me away. They truly bring to life the energy of the song.
"I was immediately attracted to and identified with 'The Game' and its theme of overcoming challenges and finding your voice, so it was awesome to see my fans just as motivated by it."
Kelly revealed the completed video on her personal Twitter account.
Alongside a link to the video, she tweeted: "It's here - the official fan lyric video for #TheGame. A huge thanks for your awesome entries! -xo #KellyFanVideo [sic]".
The video for Kelly's track 'The Game' can be seen on YouTube.
Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby is causing a big divide in the house.
The return of the 20-year-old barmaid has driven a wedge between the boys and the girls of the house.
Speaking in the next episode, fellow housemate Vicky Pattison explained: "Holly [Hagan] and Aaron have fallen out, nobody's really speaking to each other and me, I'm just f***ing pissed.
"The dynamics in the house have definitely changed, I'm not arguing that but I don't think it's fair to blame Charlotte. Gary's just using her as a scapegoat again."
Aaron Chalmers added: "Me and Gaz were talking and we said since Charlotte's come in the house that Holly's changed.
"You can cut the tension with a knife. Girls there, boys, here."
Vicky wants the fighting between cast members to come to an end.
She said: "It's got to stop, I don't understand what's going on."
Aaron added: "I'm glad Vicky agrees there's a weird vibe at the moment, hopefully she can speak to the girls and get us back to being a family."
The next episode of 'Geordie Shore' airs tonight (12.08.14) at 10pm on MTV.
Emma Willis wants Gwen Stefani, Pink or Katy Perry to replace Kylie Minogue as a judge on 'The Voice'.
The 38-year-old star co-hosts the pop star search show with Marvin Humes and she thinks any one of the three singers would be perfect to take a spot on the panel.
She said: "I think Gwen Stefani would be amazing, as would Katy Perry or Pink. They're hugely successful women, but they're really likeable and honest too, which you need in a show like that. You can't be stringing people along."
Kylie is confirmed to be departing 'The Voice', while it is not yet known if Ricky Wilson, will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones will return.
As well as co-hosting the BBC One series Emma also presents the live 'Big Brother' shows.
The brunette beauty - who has two children, daughter Isabelle, five, and two-year-old son Ace, with her husband, McBusted star Matt Willis - never considered giving up her 'BB' role for 'The Voice' as she loves working on both programmes.
When asked if she considered quitting 'Big Brother' when she landed 'The Voice' job, she replied: "No, and I was never asked to choose. They're very different shows. My daughter loves 'The Voice', but she'll be in double-digits before she's allowed to watch 'Big Brother'."
'Emmerdale' star Fiona Wade has defended her character's arranged marriage.
The 35-year-old actress - who plays Priya Sharma in ITV soap - thinks passion is much more dangerous for her character than an arranged wedding.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: "Marrying out of pure passion would be much more dangerous. I don't think it's such a bad thing to commit to someone quickly, I'm a bit like Priya in that way.
"You should choose someone because you have the same values and goals and are going in the same direction. That's what Priya is doing now.
Fiona was slightly shocked when the writing team told her Priya would be having an arranged marriage - she is tying the knot with Rakesh Kotecha (Pasha Bocarie) - but she doesn't think it's in anyway a controversial storyline.
She explained: "When I was told about Priya's arranged marriage I was surprised because I never saw her as a very traditional girl.
"But I don't think it's that controversial. She's sick to death of guys messing her around and she wants to find one who is going to look after her. Asking her family to help is a lot better than trying to pick up someone in a nightclub, which is what she was doing before."
Fiona is single in real-life and although she is content to be on her own at the moment she would like to find a nice guy and make him her boyfriend.
She said: "I would love to get married and settle down too but so far I've always put career first. That's why I'm not married. I would love to meet someone special now and settle down. But it just hasn't happened yet."
Bobby Norris' mother is battling leukaemia.
'The Only Way is Essex' star is desperately searching for a bone marrow match for his mother Kym so she can have an operation to treat the potentially fatal disease.
Speaking on ITV show 'This Morning', Bobby said: "I saw her briefly yesterday. She's not been allowed home because she can't fight off infections ... her immune system is really low.
"I just go in there and spend as many hours as I can during visiting hours, but it never feels like enough. You just feel so helpless."
Bobby explained how his mother fell ill very quickly. She was working full-time as a dental receptionist and after complaining of feeling lethargic she went to see her doctor and the blood test she underwent had a life-changing consequences.
He revealed: "It was that quick that she became so ill ... now she's on intense chemotherapy twice a day and that in itself is quite hard to watch, because just three weeks ago she was living a normal life.
"I don't know how it has become this real so fast. I feel like it's flipped my world upside down ... and my way of thinking is quite different now.
"I see people taking things for granted with their mums, I want to do those little things [with my mum] that I took for granted for 27 years. It's the little things you miss when someone isn't there."
The reality television star encouraged people to sign up to the Anthony Nolan Trust and get their bone marrow tested to see if they can become donors to the thousands of leukaemia sufferers in the UK.
Michael Bay has confirmed he will not return for 'Transformers 5'.
The director has enjoyed a huge amount of success with the 'Transformers' franchise - with the latest film, 'Transformers: Age Of Extinction', grossing more than $1 billion worldwide - but Bay says he wants to try his hand at other challenges.
The 49-year-old told USA Today: "There's kind of a new chapter, a new direction in movies I want to make.
"I have a lot of stories to tell. And it's about flexing new muscles."
Bay has been working frenetically over the last few months, with another of his movies, 'The Purge: Anarchy', hitting cinema screens this summer.
And the director admits he's surprised to have come through such a heavy work schedule so well.
He said: "I gotta tell you, it's been a crazy year with all of this stuff. I have no idea how we got through it all."
Despite this, Bay is already looking forward to new projects, with the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' among the most exciting movies on his horizon.
Paramount Pictures announced plans to make a sequel following early success at the box office with the current flick, which features Megan Fox, Will Arnett and William Fichtner.
