Niall Horan has described the reaction to One Direction in South America as "unbelievable".
The pop star - who has been on tour with band mates Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson - was stunned by how many fans turned out to their shows as part of their 'Where We Are Tour'.
He told Irish radio station Spin 1038: "The shocking thing to us is that this is our first time in South America. We come down here and our fans have sold out stadiums for us. It gets us really excited. We've done some amazing shows, playing to 50/60,000 people a night."
The 20-year-old star is also excited to be heading to his hometown of Dublin at Croke Park where they kick off the European leg of their tour on May 23 and he insists fans have a lot to look forward to when it comes to the live production.
He explained: "It's very fun-filled, we try to have a laugh on stage and get the crowd involved, it's a must for us.
"I play guitar on nine or ten [tracks], I try and play it as much as I can. Croke is coming up in a couple of weeks and it's going to be unbelievable. It's one of the gigs that everyone is talking about, that and Wembley of course.
"They've been waiting a while since the last time we were in Dublin."
Talking about the band's worldwide success, he added: "We're all in the same boat, we're all from tiny little places, probably none of us had ever been to London. It's just unbelievable. We're baffled by it, it's just ridiculous, at my age as well, it's unreal [but] we're having a great time. The last two and a half weeks in South America, I never thought I'd get to countries like this."

Magneto was at odds with Professor X for decades however with a mutant annihilation on the cards it forces him to form new alliances and Fassbender enjoyed seeing this develop.
He added: "I just love the character. There is so much history in the character before I have arrived in his shoes. There's so much to play with, he's very complex. I love the relationship he has with Professor X."

Matt LeBlanc admits his weight gain ‘stung’ at times

Matt LeBlanc admits the 'Episodes' storyline about his weight gain was based on the reality which "stung".
The former 'Friends' star recalls the moment he was caught off-guard while relaxing poolside when a photographer took images of him which were later published and he admits these pictures hurt his feelings.
He explained to The Sun newspaper: "The stuff we did last year [on Episodes] about me getting overweight -- that all really happened.

"This guy was in the pool and he had a gym bag and a two-year-old son with him.
"He picks his son out of the water, sits him on the edge of the pool, opens his gym bag, takes out his camera and fires across the pool at me. It was on the front page of the National Enquirer the next day.
"The headline was 'Beached Male'. That stung a little."
Matt's Friends co-stars, which includes Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, love 'Epiosdes' because it pokes fun at him.
He added: "The only one they were making fun of was me so everyone else came out smelling of roses -- they all thought it was really funny."

Solange got into argument before Jay Z fight

Solange Knowles got into another argument before her elevator fight with Jay Z.
The 'Losing You' singer - who appeared to attack her brother-in-law in a lift in New York's Standard Hotel while attending an afterparty for the Met Gala last Monday (05.05.14) - was reportedly seen yelling at fashion designer Rachel Roy earlier in the evening.
The mother-of-one's famous sibling Beyonce, 32, "got in the middle of it" to cool the situation, an onlooker tells Us Magazine.
However, another source claims Solange yelled at numerous people, including Rachel, who was once married to Jay Z's former friend and business partner Damon Dash.
Surveillance footage emerged yesterday (12.05.14) of Beyonce's enraged younger sister hurtling towards Jay - real name Shawn Carter - in the lift, landing a series of punches and kicks while the 'Drunk in Love' singer stood back out of the fray.
It's not known what caused the heated altercation between Solange, 27, and the 44-year-old rapper, but all parties have remained tight-lipped about the incident.
A source said: "Beyonce tried to stay out of it. She does not approve of violence. They are trying to put the situation past them now."
Prior to the drama, Beyonce, 32, and her younger sister were seen dancing up a storm on the dancefloor with supermodel Naomi Campbell, while Jay - who has two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy with his spouse - "hung back at one of the fireplace areas".
Despite the controversial video, Beyonce and her husband were spotted last night at a basketball game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Miami Heat at the Barclays Centre in New York and appeared relaxed and carefree.

He said: "We were filming a video for our next single and I had a minor accident.
"I was on a bumper car because we were filming in a fairground and things got out of hand.
"You'll understand why when you see the end result."
Ricky insists the incident could have happened anywhere since they weren't performing a dangerous stunt.
He added: "It wasn't even a stunt, it could have happened in the kitchen."
Meanwhile, the Kaiser Chiefs - also made up of Simon Rix, Vijay Mistry, Nick 'Peanut' Baines and Andrew White - recently admitted they want their track 'Coming Home' to be England's unofficial world cup anthem even though The Football Association have selected Gary Barlow's 'Greatest Day' - featuring former Spice Girl Mel C, Pixie Lott, Katy B and Gary Lineker - as the official track ahead of the competition in Brazil this summer.

Diana Vickers not surprised by I Can’t Sing axe

Diana Vickers isn't surprised 'The X Factor' musical 'I Can't Sing' has been axed.
The former 'X Factor' contestant, who shot to fame on the talent show in 2008, has now become a West End actress herself and admits she didn't see 'I Can't Sing' at the London Palladium and isn't shocked it closed on Saturday (10.05.14) after just two months.
She told BANG Showbiz: "I've not seen it but it's a shame it's closed. Once you've done that and been in it, I don't think I'd really want to go back [and watch the musical].
"New shows which go into theatres are not doing their time. People don't really have a lot of money. I don't think viewers of 'The X Factor' could afford to pay for a ticket, it can be quite expensive."
'I Can't Sing' received positive reviews for its satirical take on 'The X Factor' and its stars, including Simon - played by Nigel Harman - Cheryl Cole, Louis Walsh and host Dermot O'Leary.
Diana, 22, made her professional acting debut in the West End production of Jim Cartwright's 'The Rise and Fall of Little Voice' in 2009 and recently landed a part in ' The Duck House', starring Ben Miller, at London's Vaudeville Theatre, which was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy this year.
The singer - who is promoting National Smile Month, which takes place between May 19 and June 19 - said: "Duck House was a new play and no-one even knew the script and we managed to do our run and break even, that was really good.
"It's never nice to hear when a theatre show closes and doesn't manage to stand the test of time."
Diana Vickers is the face of Wrigley's Extra White Bubblemint campaign for National Smile Month 2014, encouraging people to chew sugarfree gum for a clean and healthy smile.
