Helen Wood fears ‘hateful’ Big Brother exit

Helen Wood fears everyone is going to "hate" her when she leaves the 'Big Brother' house.
The former escort - famous for participating in a threesome with England footballer Wayne Rooney in 2010 - is worried about leaving the Channel 5 compound because she thinks the public will dislike her even more.
Speaking on the reality show, the brunette, who was booed when she entered the house, said: "I knew what I was walking into, but I think more people hate me now. I don't know why I'm moaning, I cheated my way into this position anyway. So I can't moan.
"I'm going off how the public think and that's what I have to do."
Helen won a guaranteed spot in the 'Big Brother' final after being given a free pass by fellow housemate Pauline Bennett two months ago and she has caused controversy throughout her time in the series after several foul-mouthed rants.
After airing her concerns about the public's reaction to her, Helen's housemate Christopher Hall told her she has been the "most controversial character" in the series.
He added: "You'll have a lot of people who love you and a lot of people who won't like you at all."
A show insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "Love her or hate her, this series wouldn't have been the same without Helen."

Joe Manganiello is a ‘good influence’ on Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara's friends think Joe Manganiello is a "good influence" on her.
The 'Modern Family' actress has been romancing the 'True Blood' star for several weeks and the hunky actor has been advising his new girlfriend on diet and fitness and she has even curbed her partying.
A source told RadarOnline.com: "Joe has been a really good influence on her.He is teaching her that she can have just as much fun without drinking and has gotten her into fitness and health. They even workout together."
The 37-year-old actor is said to be smitten with the 42-year-old brunette beauty, who he began dating soon after her two-year engagement to Nick Loeb came to an end.
The source added: "Joe is so happy right now. He is really into Sofia! The two are now inseparable."
The insider claims Joe has "long-term sobriety" and is always happy to assist other people wanting to turn their backs on drinking.
The source said: "He helps out a bunch of great guys that really look up to him."
Joe recently spoke of the pride he takes in his physique, insisting he is a "unicorn" amongst actors.
He said: "A lot of the actors who are on the cover of lifestyle magazines look like they've had their waistline airbrushed or they're wearing winter clothes or whatever.
"I see them and think, 'That guy doesn't work out, I know that guy and he smokes two packs of cigarettes a day and is a complete drunk on the weekends. Now he's putting out an illusion on the cover of a glossy magazine.'
"It's absurd to me. I'm athletic and I'm healthy. I'm like a unicorn in the world of actors."

Miley Cyrus gives tattoo

Miley Cyrus tattooed her own tattoo artist yesterday (05.08.14).
The 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker took advantage of a break in her 'Bangerz' tour to meet up with Bang Bang in New York City, and the pair inked matching crescent moons on one another.
Miley had the tattoo artist etch the design on her left inner-arm, while she then returned the favour and inked the design onto Bang Bang's thumb.
Showing off the artwork, she wrote on Instagram alongside some pictures of them both: "BFF tats with @bangbangnyc
"random BFF tat @bangbangnyc (sic)"
Bang Bang shared a picture of Miley applying his tattoo, writing: "I turned @mileycyrus Into a tattoo artist today (sic)"
And the inking session didn't end there, as the 21-year-old singer also opted to pay homage to the Flaming Lips by having the words 'Love Yer Brain' - the title of a 1987 song by the psychedelic rockers - etched onto her right forearm.
Miley has a number of tattoos, and last month had a tribute to her late dog tattooed on her side.
The 'We Can't Stop' singer - whose Alaskan Klee Kai Floyd was killed by a coyote in April - has had her beloved pooch's head inked under her left armpit with a speech bubble that reads, "WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FWENDS."
The 21-year-old singer was at a house party when she and a group of friends decided to get the matching tattoos in tribute to the late pup.
Miley captioned a photo of the finished design which she posted on Instagram: "#withalittlehelpfrommyfwends #housepartygreentonguefloydtats (sic)"

Oprah Winfrey has special salt

Oprah Winfrey insists on special salt wherever she goes.
The media mogul admits she is a "truffle freak" and can't resist the funghi flavour so not only does she request truffle salt to season her food in hotels, she also carries some around with her just in case she is caught short when hungry.
She admitted: "I'm a truffle freak. I walk around with truffle salt, that's on my rider for the hotels. Truffle salt, truffle oil."
The 60-year-old talk show host is even keen to travel to Europe to hunt for truffles with pigs, who are renowned for tracking them down in hard-to-find areas.
She added to the New York Daily News newspaper's Confidenti@l column: "I want to go to Alba [Italy] and do the truffle hunt with the pigs in October."
And Oprah - who has been in a relationship with Steadman Graham since 1986 - admits her signature dish when cooking also involves truffles.
She said: "I'm really good with, unfortunately, pastas. I make a mean pasta with shaved truffles, like a tortellini stuffed with cheese and truffles."

Marion Cotillard hangs out with Jennifer Lawrence

Marion Cotillard has enjoyed hanging out with "fun" actress Jennifer Lawrence.
Both actresses have been muses for fashion house Dior and the 38-year-old beauty can't wait for their next meeting because they get along so well.
When asked by Stylist magazine who makes her laugh the most right now, Marion replied: "Will Ferrell! My friends. I have very, very funny friends. They make me laugh because I laugh so hard. Oh and Jennifer Lawrence. Yeah, that's a good list.
"I have a Dior dinner, which I'm looking forward to because they're amazing, funny people. And Jennifer Lawrence will be there so I'm going to have a lot of fun."
After filming the intense French language film, 'Two Days, One Night', the actress - who has three-year-old son Marcel with partner Guillaume Canet - is enjoying some downtime by honing her musicianship and unpacking after moving back to France following a hectic filming schedule that's taken her to both America and Scotland.
She shared: "Time off is super, super tiny in my world. But I am off, I read, I watch documentaries. I try to play music and become a good musician, which is far away but I'm getting closer. I'm going to have to be just a musician before being a good one [laughs].
"Being in Paris after all those years, I'm seeing friends. It's marvellous to be able to reconnect and share everything they know and talk about the world. That's something I missed a lot; it's one of the things I enjoy most."

Rihanna wants to buy UK soccer club

Rihanna wants to buy a UK soccer club.
The 26-year-old singer is said to be "really serious" about setting up a sports academy in her native Barbados and then becoming a chairwoman or owner for a team in England, so much so she has been getting some advice from her friend, Chelsea player Didier Drogba.
A source close to the Bajan beauty said: "At first we thought Rihanna's desire to be involved with soccer on a business level would soon blow over.
"We figured she was still on a high from the World Cup. But now it's becoming clear she really is serious.
"She's talking about setting up a football academy in her native Barbados. Then her big dream is to be involved with a UK club."
While Rihanna has previously confessed to being a Liverpool fan, it is also thought the 'S&M' hitmaker could consider taking over a club in Los Angeles.
The source added to the Daily Star newspaper: "Britain is like a second home to her, although she's also hinted she may do something with an LA team."
Rihanna was a big fan of the recent World Cup in Brazil over the summer and posted several pictures on Instagram page of herself supporting the home nation until they were ruthlessly dumped out of the competition 7-1 by Germany.
The star then went on to support Germany in the final, which they won by overcoming Argentina with an extra-time winner from Mario Gotze.
Rihanna is not the only big name star who has been interested in taking over a UK team as rapper Snoop Dogg previously admitted he was thinking about investing in Scottish champions Glasgow Celtic and P. Diddy was said to be in talks to buy Crystal Palace in 2010 because he likes their name.
What's more, Hollywood legend Tom Hanks is a big fan of English heavyweights Aston Villa, also because he is a fan of their moniker, and Sylvester Stallone has been to watch Everton on several occasions.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre star Marilyn Burns dies aged 65

'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' heroine Marilyn Burns has died aged 65.
The star, who played Sally Hardesty in the 1974 horror movie, was discovered by a family member at her home in Houston but it is not known how she passed away, a representative told TMZ.
The Medical Examiner's Office in Houston confirmed to the website that an autopsy will be performed on her body.
A representative for the actress also told E!: "She was found unresponsive by a family member this morning in her Houston, TX area home.
"Her family asks for privacy at this time. Further details will be released later."
Burns was mainly known for her role as Sally, who somehow managed to survive Leatherface's gruesome rampage in the frightening film.
She clearly held a torch for Tobe Hooper's cult movie as she reprised her role in 1994's 'The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation' and once again in 2013 when she appeared in 'Texas Chainsaw 3D'.
As well as the popular motion picture, Burns also starred as Linda Kasabian in 1976 TV film 'Helter Skelter'.
But Burn's horror success wasn't just limited to 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' as she went on to star in horror film 'Eaten Alive' in 1977.

Greg Davies shocked by success of Inbetweeners

Greg Davies is shocked 'The Inbetweeners' has become such a huge success.
The comedian - who plays the role of head teacher Mr Gilbert in the franchise - was speaking at the world premiere for 'The Inbetweeners 2' in central London last night (06.08.14), where he reflected on how the show has evolved since it first aired on E4 in 2008.
Asked whether he could believe the success of the franchise, the 46-year-old said: "No, I can't - and I'm sure anyone you speak to from the cast can't either. It's madness, it's brilliant madness.
"It's been a while since we were all on screen together and that everybody is still so excited by it is brilliant."
Greg - who also stars as Ken Thompson in BBC 3 sitcom 'Cuckoo' - said the success of 'The Inbetweeners' is tied to the fact all the cast enjoy what they do.
He explained: "I just had a great time on set and it's just a really fun atmosphere. The writers make sure that everyone is having a laugh and the more you have a laugh, the more it comes across on screen."
'The Inbetweeners 2' is open in UK cinemas now.

Rixton: Justin Bieber is a ‘great lad’

Rixton think Justin Bieber "is a great lad."
The boy band - consisting of Jake Roche, Charley Bagnall, Danny Wilkin and Lewis Morgan - have jumped to the 20-year-old singer's defence following his altercation with Orlando Bloom last week in Ibiza.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Jake, 21, said: "Justin is a great lad and really good to us. But if we hadn't met him we would be on the same bandwagon saying 'What an a***hole' like everyone else.
"Then when you meet someone you realise it's not fair and all blown out of proportion."
However, it's not just Justin the 'Wait on Me' hitmakers think is misunderstood as they believe rapper Kanye West is also made out to be a bad guy as well.
Jake explained: "It's the same with Kanye West. We were scared he would rant at us like people in the media make out.
"But he came up to us with no security and casually said: 'Hey guys, how you doing?' So we asked for a picture and he was like: 'Sure, jump in.'
"We chatted to him, fist-bumped him, and made him laugh - that's my biggest moment of glory"
Meanwhile, the four-piece - who share the same management as Justin, Scooter Braun - have hit out at those who question their ability on their upcoming album.
Jake explained: "The album kicks off with a huge a cappella song with layers of harmonies. It's a Boyz II Men or Beach Boys sort of thing.
"We wanted to start with that as a statement, then you hear us plug in our guitars and crank it up for the rest of the album."

Ben Howard was indecisive about second album

Ben Howard was "racked with indecision" over his new album.
The 'Only Love' hitmaker wanted to record longer songs for his forthcoming second LP, but he admits he was hesitant about it for a while beforehand because he didn't want people to get bored of it.
Speaking to radio station XFM, he said: "All the songs are really long, it might just get tiring for people! I'll probably do a short pop record next time. But it seemed like the right thing to do.
"I didn't think too much about it. Then there were times when I thought way too much about it. I was kind of supremely confident then racked with indecision for the whole the winter. The whole record's really skitty and undecided - it feels like I've kind of lost my brain a bit!"
The 27-year-old hunk insists he'll be touring the album "quite heavily" in the near future because the songs featured on it, he believes, sound better played live.
He said: "There's talk of European tours sometime at the back end of the year. It's very much a live thing this record, so we'll be touring it quite heavily I think."
Ben released his preview track 'The End Of The Affair' last night (05.08.14) and his album will follow shortly.

William, Harry and Catherine visit poppy artwork

Britain's Princes William and Harry and Duchess Catherine planted ceramic poppies yesterday (05.08.14).
The royal trio visited the Tower of London to see the Blood Swept Lands And Seas Of Red art installation and set down their own flowers in the Tower's moat, where 120,000 poppies are currently installed.
More will be added over the coming months until Armistice Day on November 11, when there will be 888,246 - one for each British and Commonwealth death in the First World War.
Before planting the poppies, the group joined artist Paul Cummins in climbing the Middle Tower to view the work from on high then walked through the whole exhibit accompanied by General Lord Dannatt, Constable of the Tower of London, and his wife Philippa.
William was heard telling the artist he thought the installation was "spectacular".
Mr. Cummins got the idea from a "living will" he found two years ago which had used the phrase in the exhibit's title.
He added: "Each one represents someone who died in the First World War from Britain and the Commonwealth. I'm literally trying to represent people because a number is a number, but if you see it all like this it is a visual idea of how many people were there."
The poppies in the moat take three days to make each and are for sale online at £25 per flower.
After Remembrance ceremonies in November, the flowers - which are being installed by the artist and a team of 8,000 volunteers - will be posted to the buyers and profits donated to six service charities.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini booed at auditions

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini was "really shocked" to be booed at 'X Factor' auditions.
The 'Crazy Stupid Love' hitmaker stood in for Simon Cowell - who had a migraine - at the Wembley try-outs yesterday (05.08.14) and despite promising to have "more fun" without the music mogul, her harsh critiques quickly angered the audience.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Cheryl wasn't prepared. She gave one contestant tough love and they burst into tears. The audience booed her and she was really shocked.
"She did her best to fill in for Simon, sitting in his seat and cutting songs short with his hand gestures."
Cheryl first angered the crowd after reducing one singer to tears by telling her she'd be better off in stand-up comedy, and was then booed again when she advised another act to be more like Justin Bieber.
To the first singer, a 26-year-old woman named Sammy, she said: "I think Simon was right, you could be your own five-piece band, but I think you should do stand-up or something like that.
"I just wouldn't know how to mentor you."
To which Sammy replied: "But I don't always have to be mental."
Cheryl retorted: "But every time we've met you, you are."
And to the second auditionee, she advised: "You need more stage presence, there's nothing there. If Justin Bieber came on to that stage... "
Her harsh remarks will have come as a shock as she pledged not to be "offensive" at the beginning of the session.
She said: "I'm going to be honest in a way that's not offensive."
