Taylor Swift has dropped a new single and announced her fifth album will be released in October.
The 24-year-old star's new song 'Shake It Off' hit number one on the iTunes chart just a few hours after it was released following the blonde beauty's announcement during a 30-minute Yahoo! live stream from the top of New York's Empire State Building.
Taylor also revealed that her fifth studio release will be called '1989', named after the year of her birth, and will be released on October 27.
But that wasn't the only shock in store for a hand-picked selection of supporters on top of the building as the former singer admitted her upcoming record will be her "first documented, official pop album" as she drifts further and further away from her country roots.
Taylor's new single - which is produced by Max Martin and Shellback - has a distinctive 1980s pop vibe to it and she admits being inspired by the fact that "people can say whatever they want about us, at any time".
She added: "The only thing we can control is our reaction to that."
Her new video for the single sees the star make several outfit changes throughout as she blasts the lyrics out while dressed as a ballerina, cheerleader and break dancer as well as flashing some flesh in a pair of cut-off denim shorts and leopard-print top.
Taylor is known for penning songs about her ex-lovers and her upcoming album is thought to be no different with a number of tracks expected about her former flame Harry Styles, who she split from in January 2013.
The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' hitmaker's decision to call her album '1989' after the year of her birth will come as no surprise to her die-hard fans as she is known for her love of numbers and previously released single '22', which she wrote about being 22 years old, from her last album 'Red'.
What's more, the star is obsessed with the number 13, the date she was born on in December 1989, and always writes it on her hand before every gig she plays.
Jackie Chan's son was arrested in a drugs bust.
Jaycee Chan, 32, and his actor friend Kai Ko, 23, were detained by police last Thursday (14.08.14) after more than 3.5oz of marijuana was discovered at Jaycee's home, according to a statement on Beijing police's official micro blog.
Jaycee's arrest comes as Beijing police are cracking down on drug use but Beijing Municipal Anti-Drug Office deputy director Jin Zhihai insists officials are not targeting celebrities as such.
He told the Beijing Times: "If there is an increased crackdown on drugs, the number of celebrity offenders will also rise."
Despite his comments, actor Gao Hu, 40, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and cannabis just last week.
Like his father, Jaycee is also an actor but his movies have not been as successful as the likes of some his dad's motion pictures including 'Rush Hour'.
Jackie has previously said he wished Jaycee had joined the army when he was younger to "temper his character" and revealed he wouldn't be leaving his son any of his millions made from his movie career when he passes away.
Speaking in 2011, he said: "If he is capable, he can make his own money. If he is not, then he will just be wasting my money."
Kevin Hart has got engaged.
The 'Death at a Funeral' star took to his Instagram account to post a picture of himself standing in front of his longtime girlfriend Eniko Parrish, who was proudly displaying an engagement ring with a huge smile on her face.
He captioned the photograph: "She said YEEEEESSSSS...... #Happy #MyRib #iF**kingLoveHer (sic)"
The 35-year-old comedian popped the question to the raven-haired beauty last night (18.08.14) on her 30th birthday.
Shortly before announcing their engagement, Kevin - who has been dating Eniko for five years - posted a throwback picture of the pair alongside a heartfelt happy birthday message in which he declared his love for her and joked she is "old as s**t".
He wrote: "Happy Birthday to the most amazing woman in the world. Today is your day babe & we are going to party like it's 1999....I love you so much. I'm a better man because of you. P.S your old as s**t now lmao #Dirty30 #HappyBday #ThrowBackPic (sic)"
The couple's engagement comes just one week after model Eniko took to Twitter to deny pregnancy rumours but appeared to hint that the pair will try for a baby in the future.
She wrote: "LOL! Working on it does NOT mean right now. "Working on it" means when the timing is right.. We will begin to plan! (sic)"
David Guetta wishes he had got the chance to work with Michael Jackson.
The super-DJ has worked with many of the biggest names in pop, including Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Rowland, Snoop Dogg and Usher, but he admits his dream collaboration would have been with the late King of Pop, who died in June 2009.
Guetta said: "It would have been awesome to work with Michael Jackson, but therefore it's too late now."
The 46-year-old producer is one of the most successful DJs in the world and is wanted by the globe's top pop stars to create hits for them.
Guetta insists the reason he is so successful is because he works hard in the studio and tours constantly.
When asked what the secret of his success is, the 'Titanium' hitmaker said: "To be honest I think the whole work ethic is the secret of my success. If you ask me what is the secret behind my hits (songs), I have to say I have no idea. At the moment I work on my new album and tear my hair out, because I can't reckon, If a song is going to be a hit or not. It's crazy that people think I would have a recipe, but I haven't. Live would be so much easier with a recipe like that."
Liam Neeson is wary of accepting roles in films similar to 'Taken'.
Neeson, 62, has enjoyed huge success with the 'Taken' franchise, which sees him play the role of a retired CIA operative, but the Irish-born star admits he was initially reluctant to accept a role in new film 'A Walk Among the Tombstones' because he thought it was too similar to 'Taken'.
He explained to Empire magazine: "When I first read Scott's [Frank, director-and-writer] script, I hesitated. Because I thought, 'Here we go, here's another [expletive] telephone call, talking to the bad guys.' So there was this huge question mark before taking it on."
Neeson said that unlike some of his co-stars - who took to listening to strange music in preparation for their roles - he finds it easy to tap into the film's dark mentality.
He added: "I knew what was required and I can easily access that kind of darkness, you know."
'A Walk Among the Tombstones' also features 'Very Good Girls' star Boyd Holbrook and Dan Stevens, who appeared in 'Dowton Abbey' until 2012, and will open in cinemas on September 19.
Daniel Radcliffe has to have regular checks on his heart.
The 'What If' actor suffers from cluster headaches, which means he takes blood pressure medication and also has to undergo electrocaridiograms (ECGs), but insists he is "perfectly fine".
He said: "You have to be on blood pressure medication and have an ECG every so often ... but don't worry, I'm perfectly fine."
The 25-year-old star was also left unimpressed when visiting the US embassy for a visa interview, only to be told by a member of staff he looked "tired".
He told The Guardian newspaper: "I was like, er, thanks random f***ing person who works at the embassy."
Daniel shot to fame playing the lead role in the 'Harry Potter' franchise and he admits he has always put himself under pressure to do well as he feared his career would be over when the film series came to an end.
He said: "I think I have to apply that amount of pressure to myself because I want to do well. Now, maybe that's not the healthiest way to function ... but also, frankly, since the age of 20, all of the interviews I've done have involved people asking about my impending failure, and how I felt about the possibility of that.
"And so, when you're confronted with that so often, you start to react to it. My own reaction was always to kick hard against it and think, f**k it, you might as well be bold now, make some interesting choices and see where that takes you."
Nicole Richie spends $20,000 on underwear every year.
The 'Candidly Nicole' star - who has children Harlow, six, and Sparrow, four, with husband Joel Madden - works hard to keep a "spark" in her marriage, even when the Good Charlotte rocker is working on 'The Voice' in Australia.
A source told America's OK! magazine: "Intimacy is a priority for them. Nicole likes to buy lingerie to spice things up. She spends a good $20,000 a year [on lingerie].
"Even with Joel shooting 'The Voice' in Australia for months at a time, they Skype and text daily to keep the spark alive."
Nicole recently admitted she and Joel - who both had parents that divorced when they were young - work hard to be a "team" to provide their kids with a "healthy family life".
She said: "We met and we were partners from day one.
"And from the second we found out we were going to parents together, we looked at each other and we said, 'OK, both of our parents are divorced. We both have had ups and downs with our parents and we don't really have a strong example of what a healthy family life is. But, we're recognising that now, so let's work at it and let's go through this together as a team.'
"It's been great. And I would say that's the easiest and hardest part."
Liv Tyler and Dave Gardner are "very happy" together.
'The Leftovers' actress - the daughter of Aerosmith's Steven Tyler - reportedly struck up a romance with David Beckham's best friend three months ago and their new relationship is going from strength to strength.
A source told E! News: "They've been seeing each other for three months or so. They get on very well and are really enjoying spending time together.
"He flies to New York mostly to see her and they feel very comfortable together. He is very charismatic and a real gentleman and she appreciates that about him."
The couple began dating after they were set up by mutual friend Kate Moss.
A source said previously: "Liv trusts Kate so was prepared to give things a go but everyone is surprised by how serious they've become so quickly."
It is believed Liv, 37, and Dave bonded over their shared experiences of divorce and the fact they both have children around the same age.
The source added: "They have a child the same age which is ideal. They're at a similar place in their lives and ready to settle down with the right person."
Liv split from husband Royston Langdon in 2008, while Dave divorced actress Davinia Taylor in 2010.

Milla Jovovich is expecting her second child.
The 38-year-old actress has announced she and her husband Paul W S Anderson are set to become parents again after finding out that she is pregnant.
Taking to her Facebook page last night (18.08.14), she wrote: "Happy Monday everyone!
"This was originally going to be a post to tell you how excited I am about flying to Cape Town, South Africa to begin working on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.
"But... My husband Paul and I just discovered that we are expecting another baby!!! (sic)."
The brunette beauty also went on the explain that her pregnancy has meant that filming for 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter', which her husband produces, has been pushed back due to the physical constraints.
She added: "So after a lot of discussion, we thought it would be in everyone's best interest to wait till the baby is born before we set out to try and tackle an RE movie.
"Between the stunt work and what will become my ever-expanding belly, we didn't think pregnancy and zombie killing are the best combo! Lol! I imagine the only thing I'll be killing in the near future is an endless supply of cupcakes. Yikes...
"In all seriousness though, we want to make the best movie possible and that would be extremely difficult, to say the least, in my present condition. (sic)."
The couple, who got married in 2009, also have six-year-old daughter Ever Gabo Anderson together.
Lady Gaga is planning to get married in space.
The 28-year-old singer wants to have a commitment ceremony with Taylor Kinney, 33, outside of the Earth's atmosphere at the beginning of next year while onboard Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic flight.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Gaga and Taylor want to make a pledge for life, and think the space flight is too big an opportunity to pass up.
"It would be typical of her to have the least conventional 'wedding ever. Of course it would be a simulated-style marriage as there wouldn't be a priest or religious figure there. But they don't care about convention, it's more about making each other a life-long promise."
Meanwhile, the 'Applause' hitmaker is set to perform during the trip into space on the special flight - which will cost $250,000 per seat - and she is looking forward to using the opportunity to spread a "message of love".
She said: "Performing in space is such an honour. I want to challenge myself to come up with something that will not only bring everyone together but will also have a message of love that blasts into the beyond."
Meanwhile, Gaga - who will reportedly get her ticket into space for free - will have to prepare a month prior to the event to make sure her body can handle the changes in the atmospheric pressure whilst singing.
Christian Bale has become a father again.
The 'Out of the Furnace' star, 40, and his wife Sibi Blazic, who already have nine-year-old daughter Emmeline together, welcomed their second child into world on Monday (18.08.14), according to E! News.
The couple first sparked rumours they were having another child together after the brunette beauty was spotted with a blossoming baby bump at the Oscar awards, held in Los Angeles, in March.
The 'American Hustle' star remained tight-lipped about possibly becoming a dad again at the glamorous event, but was spotted pointing at his wife's stomach when he bumped into a friend.
Christian previously gushed how being a father is "the best thing ever" and he was never prepared enough for how his life would change.
He said in 2012: "Nothing can prepare you for fatherhood. It's the best thing ever. I don't want to leave my daughter's side for one second."
Meanwhile, the hunky star, who married Sibi in 2000, never planned to tie the knot after watching his loved ones go through a bitter divorce when he was younger.
He explained previously: "I never planned to marry. Everyone was divorced in my family so I didn't have very healthy ideas about marriage. Then I met Sibi and suddenly it seemed a fantastic idea."
