People assume I’m always happy, says Simon Pegg

Simon Pegg says fans assume he's always happy simply because he's a comedian.
Speaking at the London premiere of 'Hector and the Search for Happiness', in Leicester Square, Pegg reflected on what makes him happy, which is the central theme of the new comedy drama.
The 44-year-old said: "I think people assume if you're an actor and work in Hollywood you must be happy. That's not always the case, but I've found my happiness in Hertfordshire, north of London."
The flick sees Pegg play the role of Hector, a psychiatrist who sets out across the world to discover what makes people happy, and the 'Star Trek' actor revealed what makes him content.
He said: "I haven't been on a journey like Hector but I went on my own journey personally. As you grow up and live life you start to figure out what happiness is to you.
"It took having a kid and finding out what I want from life. It's an important thing we've all got to strive to find ... and also to realise sometimes that when you're unhappy it might be a prelude to being happy again, it doesn't mean you never will be again."

Sophie Turner to star in Mary Shelley’s Monster

Sophie Turner is to play the title role in 'Mary Shelley's Monster', a new biopic of 'Frankenstein' author Mary Shelley.
The 18-year-old 'Game of Thrones' actress will appear in the film alongside 'War Horse' star Jeremy Irvine, who will play the poet Percy Shelley, her on-screen lover and eventual husband.
Producer Rose Ganguzza says 'Mary Shelley's Monster' will tell the story of "the most extraordinary 19th century teenage heroine told in a visceral, sexy, contemporary way".
She told Deadline.com: "Our film is not a period drama. It is a story of youth that transcends time, a gothic romance, a love triangle that involves a dark passenger and we are tremendously excited to have such an exciting cast onboard this wonderful project."
The flick will also feature Taissa Farmiga, star of 'Higher Ground', while directing responsibilities have been handed to Coky Giedroyc, who is best known for her work with TV dramas, such as 'Wuthering Heights' and 'The Virgin Queen'.
In addition to Rose Ganguzza, the film will be produced by J Todd Harris, Damon Lane and Marc Marcum.
Filming is set to begin later this year in the UK and Malta, although a release date is still to be announced.

Dynamo fan Prince Harry

Britain's Prince Harry tried to "bribe" Dynamo into telling him his secrets.
The 29-year-old royal is a big fan of the magician and was desperate to find out how he pulls off illusions such as levitating people and appearing to walk across the River Thames.
Dynamo - whose real name is Steven Frayne - told the Daily Star newspaper: "Harry is very cool. He came to a performance I did at The Olympics. He was trying to get my secrets by trying to bribe me with the Crown Jewels."
Dynamo has a huge celebrity fanbase and the likes of Coldplay and One Direction appear in the new series of his show 'Magician Impossible', and the illusionist claims he "can't get away" from the 'Little Things' hitmakers.
He said: "They are scallywags. They accosted me at a Tinie Tempah concert backstage four years ago and I didn't have a clue who they were. They were like, 'Dynamo, do some magic for us.' So I did.
"I can't get away from them. So when they asked me to come and do a 1D Day, I tried to claim it as 1Dynamo day."
He also admitted the next series of the programme will be the last.
He said: "It's a good time to come to a close. It is good to leave your audience wanting more."

Robin Williams’ funeral to be in San Francisco

Robin Williams will be laid to rest in San Francisco.
Susan Schneider, the third wife of the 63-year-old actor - who committed suicide on Monday (11.08.14) - is reportedly planning a "very private" funeral in the Bay Area, and family members, including his 31-year-old son Zak, have begun flying into town ahead of the service.
According to a source, the memorial will be intimate and for close friends and family - including his younger children Zelda, 25, and Cody, 22 - only.
The source told E! News: "It's not official yet, but that's the plan. It will be small. They were both very private people."
In addition to the private service, the source claims a comedy benefit night will be held for the public in honour of the 'Hook' actor.
The tribute will take place at the Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley, California, some time in the next few weeks, but nothing has yet been finalised.
The venue cancelled their planned show on Tuesday (12.08.14) out of respect for the popular local star.
Announcing their decision, the theatre said: "We are in deep mourning for our dear friend and incredible human being, Robin Williams. Tomorrow's 'Mark Pitta & Friends show has been cancelled. We ask for your understanding at this time."
Following Robin's shock death, Susan - who married the 'Aladdin' star in 2001 - said she was "utterly heartbroken" by the loss of her "best friend".
She said in a statement: "This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin's family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."

Jennifer Lopez thrown surprise party

Jennifer Lopez enjoyed a surprise belated birthday party at the weekend.
The 'Dance Again' hitmaker - who split from boyfriend Casper Smart after three years together in June - was close to tears when she arrived at a private estate in Calabasas, California, on Saturday (09.08.14) to be greeted by 150 friends.
A source said: "She looked ecstatic and surprised and really happy.
"You could tell she was touched. She was almost crying.
"You would have never thought she had just recently had a split. She was out having fun with her good friends."
As well as cake and dancing, the 'American Idol' judge was also treated to a short film called 'A.K.A. The Movie (No More Worries)', a personal video of memories from the singer's most recent tour.
The source added to E! News: "When she watched the film, she was laughing, very giddy and screaming about it with her friends.
"She looked fabulous. She spent the night hanging out and enjoyed seeing her friends."
Jennifer turned 45 on July 24, and celebrated with a group of friends including rumoured new love interest Maksim Chmerkovskiy, manager Benny Medina, Khloé Kardashian and boyfriend French Montana, Scott Disick, Leah Remini, Kelly Ripa and Andy Cohen.
A source said at the time: "No one danced more than Jennifer. She barely sat down all night! She was really tearing it up, dancing until the very end."

Simon Cowell and son wear matching glasses

Simon Cowell has posted a picture of himself and his son wearing matching sunglasses.
The music mogul took to his Twitter account yesterday (13.08.14) to show that six-month-old Eric is already following in his fashion footsteps by wearing aviator-style shades.
Alongside the snap of him holding baby Eric as they both pose in their Ray Bans while soaking up the sun on what appears to be a luxury yacht, Simon wrote: "Taking after daddy (sic)."
The 54-year-old star welcomed his first child with girlfriend Lauren Silverman, 37, into the world on Valentine's Day (14.02.14) and has been posting a number of images of the adorable tot on the social networking site ever since.
Another photo - which was posted last month - saw the doting father bathing his son in an adult-sized bath while a picture taken in May saw Eric sat in his baby seat clutching a magazine and appearing to read it intently.
Simon wittily captioned the image: "Eric has already learnt to read!"
In addition to being a proud father, 'The X Factor' judge also uses his Twitter account to show off pictures of his beloved dogs, Squiddly and Diddly, with their most recent photo shoot taking place on a sandy beach in Miami, Florida.

BBC want no older Strictly stars

BBC bosses have reportedly banned "token oldie" contestants from 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
Station executives are said to have told casting agents for the ballroom dance contest to only sign up celebrities with a "chance of winning" and, having seen the likes of Tony Jacklin, Paul Daniels, Johnny Ball and Edwina Currie fail to impress on the dancefloor, they have advised staying away from older stars.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Bosses say signing so-called 'old duffers' is a waste of time because they never have a chance of winning. They are never very good.
"The critical detail now will be that each star on the dancefloor has a chance of actually winning the show."
Show bosses think a stronger line-up will make the show more competitive and attract higher viewing figures.
The source said: "It's not hard to see a pattern [with the older stars]. The thinking is that if there are no weak links in the line-up, it will make it more entertaining."
A BBC spokesman said: "We do not comment on speculation."
The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford was announced yesterday (13.08.14) as the first celebrity taking part in this year's show.
Meanwhile, Artem Chingvintsev has announced he has landed a role as one of the 'Dancing with the Stars' professionals in the US after quitting 'Strictly' because of visa issues.

Jamie Dornan wanted for King Arthur

Guy Ritchie wants Jamie Dornan to take the lead role in his King Arthur film series.
The 'Snatch' director was "blown away" when he met the 32-year-old actor and is desperate to sign him up for his forthcoming set of blockbuster movies for Warner Bros., but it could prove difficult because of the hunky star's commitment to three 'Fifty Shades of Grey' movies.
A source said: "Jamie is hot property in Hollywood. Guy was completely blown away when he met him and wanted to offer the part immediately.
"Jamie is keen on the role, too, and his US agents are keen to work out a deal where he'll be able to do both franchises. They have to convince Universal to allow Jamie to make the film with Warner Brothers, which isn't looking promising."
Dornan is said to be particularly keen to land the role because he doesn't want to be typecast by 'Fifty Shades', in which he plays kinky businessman Christian Grey opposite Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: "Jamie is keen to take on other roles and prove that he's an adaptable actor.
"He fears the huge 'Fifty Shades' franchise will be all he's associated with."
It was previously revealed Guy was close to casting Idris Elba in the first of his planned movie series, a reimagining of the story of King Arthur and his legendary knights of the kingdom of Camelot.

Nas thought Notorious B.I.G and 2 Pac’s deaths would spark the end of rap

Nas worried that the untimely deaths of Notorious B.I.G and 2 Pac would spark the end of rap music.
The 'Hate Me Now' hitmaker - who has been involved in a long-running feud with fellow rapper Jay Z - thought the fatal shootings of Notorious B.I.G (Biggie) in 1997 and Tupuc Shakur in 1996 by rival gang members would mark the demise of the music genre.
He said in an interview with Zane Lowe for MTV Music: "We saw what happened with Biggie and the tragedies of Biggy and 2 Pac.
"Those two things hit me real hard. I knew them both of them - Biggy more but what they mean to the art form can never be replaced and when those two guys passed away I thought it was the end of rap."
However, the 40-year-old rapper believes the industry has now changed, with stars becoming more interested in making money to better one another.
He explained: "Today's music industry is a lot. You talk about it being a lot more about money. It's really about money now, and back then, during that period when you talk about me battling with J, it was about something else.
"It wasn't just about being the top guy in rap, it felt like we were leaders of nations, not that we were egos, egotistical as in I'm the leader, no not in that sense.
"What you felt surrounding us was there was an importance in what we were doing that mattered more than just success."
Meanwhile, NAS recently announced the dates for his 'Time is Illmatic' North American tour, which will coincide with the screening of his Tribeca film documentary 'Nas: Time is Illmatic'.
The tour will begin in Rochester, in New York on October 2 and close in Oakland, Ohio on October 19.
Nas' full interview with Zane will air this Sunday at 9.30pm on Relentless Ultra Presents Soundchain on MTV Music.

Aerosmith cancel shows

Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer is suffering from heart complications.
The veteran rockers postponed a show in Concord, California last night (13.08.14) "due to illness" and it has now been claimed by gossip website TMZ that the 64-year-old musician - who has had heart problems in the past - is to undergo surgery for the unspecified complaint.
The Concord Pavilion announced the group were cancelling the show just hours before doors at the venue were due to open.
They wrote on their Facebook page: "Due to illness, Aerosmith has been forced to cancel tonight's performance at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, CA.
"The band regrets not being able to perform for their fans. Refunds will be available at point of purchase."
A spokesperson for the band didn't go into specific details about the late cancellation, saying only that they "apologise for the inconvenience".
It is as yet unclear whether the 'Crazy' hitmakers will complete their current US tour, but according to TMZ, members of the crew have already been told the next gig, in Washington on Saturday (16.08.14), won't be going ahead.

James ‘Arg’ Argent to sing at Mark Wright’s wedding

James 'Arg' Argent is going to be Mark Wright's wedding singer.
'The Only Way is Essex' star is gearing up to belt out of a few tunes when his best pal ties the knot to former 'Coronation Street' star Michelle Keegan next year, and Arg is equally looking forward to Mark's stag do.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'm sure there will be an opportunity for me to sing a couple of songs at the wedding.
"The stag do is going to be some time next year but I'm not sure where it is going to be just yet. I'm sure it will be like a Marbella or a Vegas or something that."
But before Arg, 26, takes to the stage at Mark's wedding next year he is hoping he will have passed his driving test as he is currently undergoing an intensive driving course.
He added: "Lydia hasn't given me any more lessons but I'm getting proper lessons, I'm doing an intensive driving course. I can't wait to drive."
Meanwhile, Arg also sang at Mark's cousin Leah's wedding in Spain recently, causing a fight between her and Mark's sister Jess Wright and mother Carol Wright.

Helen Flanagan wants a bigger bum

Helen Flanagan wishes she had a bigger bum.
The busty beauty enjoys exercising and is generally happy with her figure, but admits her least favourite body part is her derriere and she would love it if her posterior was given a bit of a boost.
She said: "I wish my bum was bigger. I'm very busty and I would like a bigger bum.
"I'm naturally very toned around my stomach. If I put weight on, it doesn't go on my stomach.
"I love exercise and it's something I genuinely do enjoy. I've got a trainer and I love being healthy.
"I exercise every day. My only downfall is chocolate."
The 24-year-old beauty insists she often has cravings for healthy food such as mangoes and even avoids purchasing calorific crisps.
She added to OK! magazine: "I have never been brought up on fish and chips or pies. My mum brought me up on a healthy diet.
"I really crave healthy food like mangoes or granola. Even with crisps, I buy the beetroot ones to make it a bit healthier."
