Simon Cowell and Cara Delevingne have held secret talks about her music career.
The media mogul is said to see the model - who previously gave up a deal with the 'X Factor' boss' rival Simon Fuller - as a potentially huge star and while a contract hasn't been offered, the two parties have been having private meetings.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Simon reckons Cara has the chance to make them both money.
"His people haven't offered her a record deal but have been interested in talking to her."
According to the reports, Cara is keen to develop her career naturally rather than use Syco Records as a fast-track to the top - which would see her get a lot of exposure on the likes of 'The X Factor' UK and 'Britain's Got Talent'.
Meanwhile, it is said while the pair have met, they were "informal" and no deal is on the table as of yet.
An insider added: "There were a couple of informal meetings earlier in the year."
It was recently claimed the Burberry model launched her music career in a "dive pub" in New York.
During the solo gig, Cara reportedly sang several original tracks along with a set of covers, which she performed acoustically at the small venue.

Channing Tatum says wrestling is one of the "most painful" things he's ever done.
The 34-year-old actor stars as Olympic medal-winning wrestler Mark Schultz in the film 'Foxcatcher' - which is based on real life events - and while he enjoyed learning the sport, he has no plans to carry on doing it.
He said: "Wrestling is one of the most painful things I've ever done. I've played many sports but none like this. It's the only sport I know where you have no down time, no time to pull away and rest.
"Even in boxing, you can back away and dance around a bit, but in wrestling you're locked in combat with the other guy the whole time, and that's it.
"It was an amazing discipline to learn, but I do not need to do it ever again."
The '21 Jump Street' star - who turned down the role in 'Foxcatcher' when he was first offered it because he felt he hadn't grown up enough to understand the psychological thriller - also admitted his love of sport has led to him becoming a very competitive person.
Quizzed on how competitive he is, he told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "Very, very competitive. I wish I could say I've evolved into the sort of person who's a good loser, but I'm not.
"I'm the kid who is not happy at all if our team loses, and I'll go to pretty much any length to win. I get that from my dad."

Perez Hilton thinks Kim Kardashian West is "out of control."
The acid-tongued gossip blogger slammed the reality TV star and insisted he doesn't expect her marriage to Kanye West - with who she has 14-month-old daughter North - will last, though he does expect them to have another child.
He told Closer magazine: "Her fame is out of control now she's with Kanye. Kim's desperate for another baby and they'll probably last until she gets that.
"She's smart enough to know that you need to have at least two children to get as much money as possible!

The father-of-one explained his pessimism about the longevity of Kim's fame, suggesting that people are losing interest in the 33-year-old beauty and shifting their attention to her younger half-sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner

Big Sean is reportedly jealous of Harry Styles.
The 26-year-old rapper wants the One Direction star to stay away from his girlfriend, Ariana Grande, and hates that they have stayed in touch since working on the song 'Just A Little Bit of Your Heart' together.
A source told America's OK! magazine: "Big Sean doesn't like it that Harry's been wooing her. He wants Harry to back off and leave Ariana alone."
The British singer, 20, penned the track especially for the 21-year-old beauty earlier this year.
Big Sean recently insisted he and Ariana have "great chemistry."
He said: "Me and her make a lot of music together and the chemistry between me and her when we work is great.
"We got more in the works too. I feel like her voice is crazy, [just] that that big voice comes out of her is insane. I was probably one of the first people to tweet about her music; me and her been friends for years before anything else...
"I was the first rapper to perform at the White House, I performed there with Ariana so that was an honour."
The couple's romance, which began two months ago, came as a shock to fans as Big Sean - whose real name is Sean Anderson - only ended his five-month engagement to 'Glee' actress Naya Rivera in April this year.

Will Ferrell loves date nights with his wife.
The 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' star, who has been married to Swedish art auctioneer Viveca Paulin for 14 years, loves planning romantic evenings with her away from their three children, Magnus, 10, Mattias, seven, and Axel, four.
The 47-year-old actor told Us Weekly magazine: "We're able to steal away for a moment here and there."
He jokingly added: "We're not afraid to leave our kids home without a sitter, and tell them how to work the cellphone."
Will - who met Viveca in 1994 when they attended an acting class together - also insists that his sons get along very well.
He said: "You know, the usual ratio of fighting and cooperation."
Will previously admitted he loves being a father and said his sons make him laugh all the time.
He said: "Boy, they make me laugh probably every single day just with the way they look at the world. As everyone who has kids knows, [children have] a completely unique outlook about the world, and the stuff they come up with every day makes me laugh."

Lacey Turner is "like a granny".
The 26-year-old actress admits she didn't spend a lot of time with her castmates while shooting 'Our Girl' because she favoured early nights in the tough conditions.
She said: "We had a few dinners, but I'm like a granny, I just go to bed early and I don't really drink, so I didn't bother visiting the wine lands in South Africa.
"I'd head back to the hotel after filming and it was like a mission; shower, eat, bed. I needed to be up at 4.30am for filming."
While she didn't socialise much with the rest of the cast, Lacey delighted them when she produced chocolate on set following a visit from her family.
She said: "I saved the day with chocolate. You can't get Galaxy in South Africa and in the end, I had family come out with 16 bags of Minstrels, which I shared with the cast.
"They melt in your pocket - you can squeeze them out the packet like a drink."
Ahead of filming the wartime drama, Lacey was sent to a boot camp and enjoyed the experience, though she found it tough.
She told Closer magazine: "Just training yourself to go into that heat was tough. It was tough because there were times when it was around 46 degrees and we were wearing boots, socks, trousers, a vest, helmet and body armour.
"We were running up and down mountains through rivers. I loved it, though I figured out I'd definitely rather work in the rain than the heat."

Polly Bergen has died aged 84.
The legendary actress - who was best known for her role in 'Cape Fear' - passed away today (20.09.14) surrounded by her friends and family at her home in Southbury, Connecticut, from natural causes.
Her publicist Judy Katz said in a statement: "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of legendary actress and long-time friend and client, Polly Bergen. She died peacefully at her home in Southbury, Conn. this morning at 11.10am, surrounded by her family, long-time personal manager, Jan McCormack and close friends."
The brunette beauty's last big screen appearance was in the 2012 film 'Struck By Lightening', in which she played Chris Colfer's grandmother.
The 'Glee' star took to his Twitter account shortly after Polly's death was announced to express his sadness.
He wrote: "Farewell to my dear friend, Polly. I'm so blessed to have had you in my life. No one could make me smile or laugh like you. I will miss you with all my heart. 'Grandma' for a movie, but family for life."
Polly was also an established singer and released a number of albums throughout her successful career.
She also made her Broadway debut in 'John Murray Anderson's Almanac' in 1953.
In recent years, she played Felicity Huffman's mother on the ABC drama 'Desperate Housewives'.
Meanwhile, Polly, who had battled emphysema in the past as a result of 50 years of smoking, is survived by her children Peter Fields, Kathy Lander and Pamela Fields, as well as her three grandchildren.

Kim Kardashian West has become the latest celebrity to allegedly have naked photographs leaked online.
The 33-year-old reality TV star may have fallen victim to the recent hacking scandal after explicit images, believed to be of her, were reportedly uploaded on to photo-sharing website 4chan, Reddit and Twitter earlier today (20.09.14), just three weeks after pictures of Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton were shared online.
However, it is not known whether the racy photographs of Kim are authentic or where they were allegedly stolen from, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
Meanwhile, it is believed a nude image of Liam Payne, 21, was also published on Twitter this morning and allegedly shows someone with a resemblance to the singer sitting on a bed wearing nothing but a black hat, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.
The One Direction hunk is yet to comment on the alleged naked photograph of himself and the snap is still circulating on the social networking site.
Meanwhile, more than 100 celebrities were affected by the scandal last month after an identified hacker stole explicit images and videos from Apple's iCloud service.
Apple said it was "outraged" by the attack and encouraged users to update their accounts with a "strong" password and enable two-step verification.
Other stars believed to have been targeted in the hacking scandal, include Avril Lavigne, Vanessa Hudgens, Lake Bell, Rihanna and Kirsten Dunst.

Pete Wentz believes he's "great" at changing nappies.
The Fall Out Boy rocker has picked up a new skill since he welcomed his son Saint Lazslo into the world with his girlfriend Meagan Camper on August 20.
Speaking to PEOPLE.com, he said: "I'm a great diaper changer. There are a lot of things that go into it. Speed is a big part of it."
The 35-year-old hunk also has five-year-old son Bronx with his ex-wife Ashlee Simpson and insists he's prepared for what the future may hold as a father.
He explained: "I know the phases now, I know that they change and you are on the roller coaster and there are ups and downs and you're not falling off the ride."
Meanwhile, Pete admits little Bronx couldn't be less interested in his celebrity status and finds it funny when people are eager to have a picture with him.

The source explained: "Chris is in love. There was a chance of working things out with Gwyneth, but not any more. It seems likely that Chris and Gwyneth will soon formally divorce. It would be fair to say Jennifer has more than a few belongings at his place.
"It's early days but friends are getting excited about a potential wedding - it's that serious."
Meanwhile, Jennifer and Chris are yet to comment on their relationship status but the stunning star appeared to confirm their romance after she turned up a two of his concerts this week to show her support.

Frankie Bridge's Saturdays bandmates think she'll be a "stand-out" on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The brunette beauty showcased some of her fancy footwork on stage at The SSE Arena, Wembley, London during the group's Greatest Hits tour last night (19.09.14) and the rest of the band think she has what it takes to scoop the glitterball trophy.

Jennifer Lawrence supported Chris Martin at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.
The 24-year-old actress turned up at the music event, held at MGM Grand Garden Arena, on Friday (19.09.14) to watch her beau perform with his band Coldplay and was even spotted sneaking into his dressing room.

Just two days before, the 'Hunger Games' star "couldn't take her eyes" off the hunk, 37, as she sung along to the band's lyrics during their performance at the Ace Hotel Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

"She knew every word to every song and there was a glisten in her eye as she watched Chris perform.
