Ben Affleck congratulates George Clooney

Ben Affleck has congratulated George Clooney on his wedding.
The 'Argo' star may have been absent as the 53-year-old tied the knot with human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin in Venice yesterday (27.09.14) but has offered warm words to the happy couple and wishes them "the best".
He said during an interview with ET Canada: "[George] found a great girl and I'm happy for them. I wish them the best."
When asked why he wasn't present at his pal's nuptials, Ben - who is currently promoting his new movie 'Gone Girl' in the United States - joked: "Yeah. Some people have to work and everybody else gets to be in Venice."
George wed the brunette beauty, 36, at the luxury seven-star Aman Canal Grande resort in front of around 100 guests including Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, Matt Damon and his wife Luciana, Emily Blunt, Bill Murray, and Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
According to E! News, the couple opted for a white themed wedding and exchanged their vows on a podium that was placed in front of a large wall of white candles.
The venue had been decorated with white roses, lilies and carnations, while guests are reported to have sipped on champagne and red wine and partied past midnight.
A representative for the actor confirmed the marriage had taken place just after sunset last night.
They said: "George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were married today in a private ceremony in Venice, Italy."

David McIntosh hits back at Kelly Brook

David McIntosh insists there a "two sides" to his split from Kelly Brook.
The former 'Gladiator' - who split from the brunette beauty, 34, earlier this week amid claims he had remained close to his ex-girlfriend Sarah Harper throughout their engagement - has hit back at the rumours on Twitter, hinting that his version of events are somewhat different to his former fiancée's.
He wrote on the site earlier today(28.09.14): "There are two sides to every story. You are free to believe what you wish...it doesn't alter the facts."
News of the bitter break-up first emerged when Kelly shared their split on the social media website.
She wrote: "It's a sad Day but I wanted to share with you that David and I are no longer engaged (sic).
"I love and respect him and wish him all the best."
However things soon turned sour between the pair after it emerged the model has been sending "vile" messages to David's ex - claiming they had been texting while the couple had been together.
Sarah told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "This has gone on for months and I have never said a word. David originally cheated on me with Kelly and I've kept my mouth shut.
"But some of the things she has said to me are just disgusting. I have never heard these words come out of a woman's mouth, let alone that of a so-called English lady.
"David begs and begs to see me. At the same time I get the most vile abuse from Kelly.
"Their relationship was an absolute mess and I want nothing to do with either of them.
"She paints herself as an English Rose - but she is actually a venomous thorn."
News of the shock split came just days after Kelly was finalising plans for her big day with the 28-year-old body builder.
The couple were also planning to spend £300,000 on a luxury yacht for their Greek honeymoon.

Sir Roger Moore quits drinking

Sir Roger Moore has given up alcohol.
The legendary 'James Bond' star - who portrayed 007 in seven films over 12-years - has confessed he will no longer be enjoying martinis as he suffers from type 2 diabetes and will be sticking to low-calorie soft drink Coke Zero mixed with non-alcoholic beer in the future, reports the Sunday People.
The 86 year old - whose illness requires him to limit his sugar and alcohol intake - said: "I am now slightly addicted to Coke Zero mixed with non-alcoholic beer. I look like a man drinking that."
The veteran actor - who was aged 45 when he took on his first role as the secret agent in 'Live and Let Die' in 1973 - joked that despite his age he was still able to get dressed promptly if he doesn't lose his balance.
He explained: "As long as I don't keep falling over when I'm trying to put on my socks, it takes me about 10 minutes to get ready."
Sir Roger also recently confessed he is pleased he will be "eternally" recognised as the literary character and insists there is "no downside" to people calling him 'Mr Bond'.
He said: "Being eternally known as Bond has no downside.
"People often call me Mr Bond when we're out and I don't mind a bit. Why would I?"
He added: "I still have some of Bond's suits in my wardrobe but they don't fit me now."

Jennifer Lopez in drink drive crash

Jennifer Lopez has been involved in a car crash with a drink driver.
The 'Get Right' hitmaker and her friend Leah Remini were travelling down the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California, yesterday(27.08.14) when they were rear-ended by a drunk driver who smashed into the back of their vehicle and quickly fled the scene.
The pair - who are thought to have been taking the American Idol judge's new car for a spin - were left shaken by the incident and quickly called police to share details of the hit and run.
The authorities soon caught up with the intoxicated pick-up truck driver a short distance from the crash and arrested him on suspicion of DUI and hit and run, reports gossip website TMZ.com.
The 45-year-old singer took to Instagram to vent her frustration following the smash.
She wrote on the picture sharing site yesterday, along with a photo of her and Leah sitting in the new vehicle: "Sitting at a light, Riding high right before some drunk fool rear ended us in my new whip!!! Thank god everyone ok!!! #GRATEFUL #THANKYOUGOD.
"#DontdrinkandDrive!!!! #cursedthatfoolout #theBronxcameout #dontmesswithmycocnuts #mamabear #leahstayedcalm #thatwasweird (sic)".
It is not known whether J Lo's six-year-old twins Max and Emme were present in the car at the time of the crash, although it is thought that all the occupants were left unhurt by the accident.

Lady Gaga claims $1.4m from plagiarism lawsuit

Lady Gaga has claimed $1.4 million in legal costs following a failed plagiarism lawsuit against her.
The 'Pokerface' hitmaker - who was sued by Chicago-based musician Rebecca Francescatti for allegedly copying her 1999 song 'Juda' in her 2011 track 'Judas' - has filed papers claiming back close to $1.4 million that she paid her lawyers over the course of the three year case.
In the papers obtained by TMZ.com, Gaga, 28, has requested Rebecca foot the staggering bill after a judge dismissed the case on the grounds that the two songs were "not substantially similar" earlier this year.
U.S. District Judge Marvin E. Aspen - who determined Rebecca failed to provide sufficient evidence of the alleged similarities between the tracks - said at the time: "We conclude as a matter of law that the two songs are not substantially similar. No reasonable trier of fact could find that defendants copied protected expression in Francescatti's song. The songs do not 'share enough unique features to give rise to a breach of the duty not to copy another's work.' Accordingly, we grant defendant's motion for summary judgement."
In the ruling, Judge Aspen further explained the lawsuit's objection to a similar title and similar musical notes "are not sufficient to give rise to a finding that the Gaga song has captured the total concept and feel of the Francescatti song".

Billy Crystal breaks down at Robin Williams’ memorial

Billy Crystal broke down at Robin Williams' memorial service.
The 66-year-old actor - who previously paid tribute to the star at this year's Emmy Awards in Los Angeles - hosted the touching ceremony at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco on saturday(27.09.14) and was left "in tears" as he paid his last respects to his late friend during the "beautiful" service.
An insider told US Weekly: "He was in tears."
While a close friend of his family told People.com: "The ceremony was such a beautiful tribute and celebration of Robin's life. There was so much joy as well as tears. He touched so many, many people's lives and brought so much happiness and light."
According to the site, guests - including Bette Midler, Whoopi Goldberg, Ben Stiller, George Lucas, Penny Marshall, Danny DeVito as well as Robin's children Zak, 31, Zelda, 25, and Cody, 22 and his widow Susan Schneider - received heartfelt souvenir ribbon wristbands from the memorial that read: "Love the stillness of life."
During the ceremony, Susan opened up about her relationship with her late husband and in a "moving" speech shared details about the day she met the 'Good Will Hunting' star.
The source explained: "One of the most moving parts was when Susan recounted the day they met at the Apple store.
"They smiled at each other from across the room, which turned into a conversation and them becoming best friends from that moment on."
The 63-year-old actor was found hanged at his home in August amid reports he had been struggling to overcome his alcohol addiction.
Susan later revealed in a statement that the star had been showing "the early stages of Parkinson's Disease, which he was not yet ready to share publicly."

Benedict Cumberbatch not ready for Oscar talk

Benedict Cumberbatch insists it's too early to speculate whether or not he will win an Oscar.

Quizzed on how he would feel, he told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "It would be amazing, but to be honest it's so premature that it would almost be futile to talk about it.
"I understand why it always happens at festivals, but I just got my suit back from the dry cleaners from this year's Oscars... There's lots of films to see before we start going, 'Oooh, blah, blah."
The 'Sherlock' star went on to insist that he's more interested in telling a good story than winning awards.
He added: "The most important thing is that any kind of buzz creates an interest in the film, which means people will see it hopefully and that means the Alan Turning story will get to a broader audience.
"And that, as a storyteller, is all I am concerned about. And if I have done a good job as him as well, that's great."
