Dave Bautista linked to henchman role in Bond 24

Dave Bautista has been linked with a role in ‘Bond 24’.

The professional wrestler recently appeared in the popular Marvel Studios film ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, and according to reports, is set to appear in the much-anticipated next instalment of the James Bond franchise.

Latino Review claims the 45-year-old actor will star in the as-yet-untitled film – which will also feature Daniel Craig, 46 – as a henchman called Hinx.

Bautista’s casting would appear to fit with the desired physical profile of the character, which was described in a casting notice in August.

The notice reads: "We are looking to follow in the tradition of JAWS and ODDJOB in finding an iconic baddy."

Producers confirmed they are looking to hire someone who is between 30 and 45, and is above 6′ 2".

The notice added: "We are looking for an imposing extremely physically fit actor. He has several fights with Bond and will have to have stunt training. He has to drive.

"We are looking for someone very unusual, possibly from a sports background."

Filming for the new Sam Mendes-directed film will begin at Pinewood Studios in the UK in December, with the eagerly-awaited movie set for release in October 2015.
