Prince Harry ‘so sad’ to hear of young cancer sufferer’s death

Britain's Prince Harry is "so sad" to hear a young boy has died from cancer weeks after meeting him.
The 30-year-old Royal met seven-year-old Laughlin Whitely at the WellChild Awards ceremony three weeks ago where he was presented with the Most Inspirational Child Award and has now said that his thoughts are with his family after his passing.
Revealing Laughlin - who was nicknamed Lockey - had passed away, his family wrote on Twitter on Saturday (11.10.14) night: "When Laughlin is feeling a bit puffed, he always says, 'Just let me take my breath'. He took his last tonight at 6.30."
They later added: "Lockey is now surrounded by all those he loves, and all the things he loves.
"He knew that as he slowly, slowly drifted off...Last night he told us, each of us, that he loved us & gave us a hug. (sic)"
Laughlin, from Essex in South East England, overcame a brain tumour at just four-year-old before tragically being diagnosed with leukaemia at the beginning of this year and suffering a relapse more recently.
But, inspirationally, he told his parents he wanted to help other children and set up the charity 'Unlock a Life for Lockey', which encourages people to become stem cell donors and makes play boxes for children with cancer.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Prince Harry was "so sad to hear the news" that Laughlin had passed away and said that his thoughts were with the brave youngster's family.

Queen Elizabeth ‘more colourful’ since mother’s death

Britain's Queen Elizabeth would never have participated in the 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony if her mother had been alive, says former royal press secretary Dickie Arbiter.
The 88-year-old monarch took part in a hilarious sketch in which 'James Bond' actor Daniel Craig escorted her to London's Olympic Park in a helicopter before a stunt double pretending to be her parachuted out of the aircraft, but her former chief of press claims she never would have gone ahead with it if her mother had still been alive.
He explained to the Daily Express newspaper: "You've got the Queen taking on the mantle left by her mother when she died in 2002. She's pretty much Britain's favourite granny now. She's softer, more approachable."
Arbiter added: "I don't believe for a moment that James Bond sequence at the Olympics would have happened if her mother had been alive. Compared with 2002 she's a lot more colourful in her dress. The clothes are colourful, more stylish. She's more relaxed."
The television and radio commentator - who left his role as the royal family's press secretary in the year 2000 - thinks the Queen Mother had very specific ideas of what sort of monarch her daughter should be, constraining her daughter for much of her reign.

Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s marriage branded ‘idiotic’

Britain's Prince Charles' marriage to the late Princess Diana was "idiotic", according to a new book.
The former German chancellor Helmut Kohl - who led the country from 1982 to 1998 - is said to have spoken out about the marriage between the Prince of Wales and Princess Diana to journalist Heribert Schwan.
According to the Daily Mail newspaper, Schwan reports Kohl as saying: "Her [Diana's] marriage was an idiotic affair.
"Had she become queen immediately she would have done her bit in bed, created three princes and her duty to the nation would have been fulfilled. But like this she had to travel around, talk to mayors and so on and then she withered away."
Schwan was tasked with writing the former chancellor's memoirs and had already conducted more than 600 hours of taped interviews with him between 2001 and 2002 when the pair fell out.
Earlier this year a court told Schwan that he had to return the tapes, but he managed to delay handing them over until he'd finished making full transcripts of the conversations and went on to publish the book, 'Legacy: The Kohl Transcripts' without permission.
Princess Diana - who was divorced from Prince Charles in 1996 - died in a car crash in Paris, France in 1997.

Keanu Reeves: Intruders were ‘surprising’

Keanu Reeves admits he had an "interesting weekend" when two female intruders broke into his home.
The 'John Wick' actor confronted a mystery woman in the library of his Los Angeles home last month and days later, another female went skinny dipping in his pool when he wasn't there and though both uninvited guests were picked up by police, the 50-year-old star insists "everybody's OK".
He told 'Entertainment Tonight': "It was an interesting weekend, last month.
"Everybody's OK, which is nice. All's well that ends well. It was certainly surprising, four in the morning, Saturday, and having an uninvited guest. But it just happened, and everybody's OK."
Following the two incidents, Keanu admits he has beefed up security at his home.
He laughed: "There have been some changes."
After the second woman was arrested, the 'Speed' star went to court to obtain a restraining order against her.
The unnamed fan was ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the 'Matrix' actor and his property at all times after he told a judge he feels threatened by her and believes she will continue stalking him.
But a law enforcement source claimed she may not understand or follow the protection order, as she is currently seeking psychiatric treatment in hospital.
The woman - who entered the star's home through an unlocked door and took a shower in his bathroom - believes the 50-year-old actor is a "conduit" to her father, whom she claims was abducted by the US government and placed in witness protection.
She also believes her father is 'Departed' actor Ray Winstone.

Channing Tatum’s wife approves screen stripping

Channing Tatum's wife approves his 'Magic Mike' stripper moves.
The 34-year-old hunk - who reprises his role as Mike Lane in forthcoming sequel 'Magic Mike XXL' - shows all his routines to Jenna Dewan-Tatum and she tells him if they are OK to be shown on screen.
He admitted: "Our two choreographers on the movie, they're really, really good friends [with Jenna]. So I work it out with them and then I go show Jenna for approval."
And Channing insists his spouse - with who he has 16-month-old daughter Everly - doesn't mind about the raunchy subject matter of the movies because they are so close to his heart.
The actor, who penned the films based on his own experiences as a stripper, told People magazine: "She actually loves 'Magic Mike', believe it or not. It's an interesting thing that actors have to deal with. We're 10 years into it now, so it's kind of old hat - we've moved past it.
"If I was just doing some movie about strippers, then she'd probably be like, 'Why do you want to do that?'.
"But it started off as a story that I really love, and it's grown into something that I love even more because it's a weird world that I experienced in my real life.
"It's just a part of me telling some part of my life. And she understands that."

Kris Jenner to stop managing Kendall?

Kris Jenner is to be asked to "step down" as Kendall Jenner's manager.
The showbiz matriarch controls all her children's careers but as the 18-year-old beauty's modelling career goes from strength-to-strength, she wants to distance herself away from the Kardashian brand and is even considering relocating to Europe.
A source said: "She's moved out of the family home into her own LA apartment. With [sister] Kim [Kardashian West] and Kanye [West] living there, everything felt too crazy and she's keen to scale back her involvement in the reality show.
"She's thought to be considering a move to Paris, and there are whispers Kris may be asked to step down as her manager."
Kendall previously admitted to asking Kim not to attend her fashion shows and is said to feel "uncomfortable" about her sister's constant attention-seeking antics.
The source explained: "Kendall loves Kim but feels uncomfortable with the fanfare that accompanies her.
"She wants to be accepted by the industry on her own terms, which is impossible when Kim and Kanye are arriving in headline-grabbing outfits. Kim means the world to Kendall, and vice versa, but they increasingly belong in different worlds."
Though Kendall has previously dated One Direction hunk Harry Styles and been romantically linked with Justin Bieber, insiders insist she isn't interested in having a celebrity boyfriend.
The source told Britain's Grazia magazine: "Kendall is concentrating on her career. She isn't interested in becoming one half of a power-couple, she's more low-key than that."

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney’s commitment’ ceremony

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney held a "commitment" ceremony to prove how dedicated they are to each other.
The 28-year-old singer and her actor boyfriend, 33, hosted the event at Joan Tratorria, a restaurant in New York owned by the 'Marry The Night' singer's parents.
An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "Gaga wanted something visual, a commitment ceremony with the people who matter the most.
"They don't have time to plan a wedding, so they decided they would have a small gathering to show the people they love most how committed they are to one another.
"It was just for her family and a few close art and designer friends.
"Taylor's mum Pam was there too. She flew in with one of his brothers."
The ceremony came shortly after 32-year-old Sophia Bush - who appeared alongside Taylor in TV drama show 'Chicago Fire' - sparked rumours they were set to officially tie the knot by calling the actor's new item of jewellery a "personal ring".
However, the insider explained: "The ring is just a sign of his commitment to Gaga.
"They will get married properly next year, when they have time to plan a wedding."

John Cleese ‘looking forward’ to death

John Cleese is "looking forward" to dying in five or six years.
The 74-year-old actor insists he is not going to start writing another film because he will pass away before he finishes the project but admits he will be in "excellent company" when he does finally meet his maker.
When asked at the Cheltenham Literary Festival whether he will pen another movie, he replied: "No, because it is too much like hard work.
"It is two-and-three-quarter years and I am too old for that process. If I started on it now I would die.
"I have only got five or six years left and I will be gone - I won't have to worry about ISIS or Ebola, I am looking forward to it.
"Most of the best people are dead - I will be in excellent company having a wonderful time."
The comedian also admitted he and his fellow Monty Python stars - Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin - have never been "huge friends" and slammed Michael's travel documentaries, joking they send him to sleep.
He added: "Michael, as you know, makes those travel programmes that I put on any time I can't sleep.
"Eric Idle is very good at lyrics so he is writing songs. Terry Gilliam is off trying to raise money for one of his plotless extravaganzas.
"And Jonesy [Terry] is just insane - he writes children's books and recently went to Lisbon and directed an opera about vacuum cleaners."
The comedy troupe performed together for the final time in front of a 20,000-capacity crowd at London's The O2 in July.

Blonde Electra: We performed for rapists

Blonde Electra weren't worried about appearing on 'The X Factor' because they've performed for rapists.
The group made up of sisters Ruby and Jazzy King - who were voted off the ITV singing competition last night (12.10.14) - confessed they weren't scared about starring on the series after putting on shows for prison inmates.
Ruby, 22, told the Metro newspaper: "Singing in prison was awesome. One of the best gigs we ever did."
Jazzy, 24, added: "We sang for about 200 lifers. They were all rapists and murderers.
The pretty blondes were also forced to sing to members of their parents' strict Children of God cult by their father.
Jazzy explained: "Our parents met in a sex cult but left in 1991 and dad formed his own little cult, not sexual, but just as crazy. We had a very strict upbringing.
"He formed a little Christian band with five of us and we sang songs that he wrote. Horrible, Horrible stuff."
However, the American sisters previously explained how their aspirations to become singers allowed them to escape from their parents' clutches.
Jazzy explained: "We moved out when we were 12 and 15 because we met this guy who owned a club and was looking for singers. We were, like, 'F**k, yeah!'
"But our parents believe that, once you leave, you're going to hell. We have hardly any contact with them - though our dad writes us hate mails."
Ruby added: "He thinks we're sinners and are going to go to hell for doing 'The X Factor'."

Men Behaving Badly stars return for new sketch

Martin Clunes and Neil Morrissey are to reunite for a new 'Men Behaving Badly' sketch.
The hit television show is set to make a comeback for the first time in over two decades as Martin and Neil reprise their roles as Gary Strang and Tony Smart respectively, in a one-off skit to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
In the sketch, Gary watches a video urging men to check their private parts for lumps, with Tony joking: "I often think about us as a pair of testicles, hanging out together."
The hilarious show aired for six series and regularly featured Caroline Quentin as Gary's girlfriend Dorothy and Leslie Ash as an attractive woman named Deborah who lived in the flat above the silly lads.
Penned by original 'Men Behaving Badly' writer Simon Nye, the skit promises to remind viewers of the classic days of the sitcom, something which is long overdue for fans of the comedy duo, as they haven't appeared together since the show ended in 1998.
The clip has been created as part of the 'Feeling Nuts' comedy night to raise awareness of the danger of testicular cancer.
The special sketch will air during Channel 4's 'Stand Up To Cancer' show on Friday (17.10.14).

Paddy McGuinness: I’d only do I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here if I was skint

Paddy McGuinness would only appear on 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here' if he was "skint".
The 'Take Me Out' host has confessed that although he's a massive fan of the ITV reality series, he would only take part if he needed more money or if his career needed a boost and he also insisted he would be honest with viewers about his reasons for doing it.
He explained: "If you were skint or if you wanted a bit of a career boost, I'd be the first one with a kangaroo's testicle in my mouth.
"I'd never deny it. I wouldn't say, 'I'm here for the journey'. To be honest, I think people would respect you a bit more for it."
The 41-year-old funny man says it's unlikely celebrities would agree to the terrifying challenges hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly [Ant and Dec] task them with in the Australian jungle unless they had something to gain.
He explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I think people see through it. You're not going to be buried in a coffin with six million cockroaches unless you want the money or you want a bit of a boost - there's no other reason to be doing it.
"Sometimes the people that are on it, they go, 'I'm here for the journey and experience'. And I'm like, 'Come on, come on, mate'."
