Neil Gaiman to write Doctor Who for Peter Capaldi?

Neil Gaiman wants to write an episode of 'Doctor Who' for Peter Capaldi.
The author - who previously penned 'The Doctor's Wife' in 2011 and 'Nightmare in Silver' last year - is keen to write another script for the BBC One sci-fi series' current star.
According to Digital Spy, he told fellow writer Audrey Niffenegger at a Q&A in New York: "Whenever I'm in the UK, I sneak into meetings with [the production team]. They say, 'Can you do another one?!' and I say, 'Yes! But not yet!'"
"Now I'm just sort of hoping that I can get one done while Peter Capaldi is still the Doctor, because it would be a very sad thing if I lost my chance to write for a grumpy, Scottish Doctor."
The British-born novelist wants to return to write for 'Doctor Who' as he believes there are "boxes left to tick" that haven't featured in his previous efforts.
He explained:"I haven't done an episode set on Earth yet, and I haven't created a new monster.
"So there are boxes left to tick. And there's part of me that feels... I haven't scared anybody yet. I'd love to do something that sends adults behind the sofa too and makes them wee."

Gemma Merna for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here

'Hollyoaks' actress Gemma Merna is reportedly heading to the 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here' jungle.
The blonde beauty - whose character Carmel McQueen is set to be killed off in the Channel 4 soap later this year - will head to Australia at the beginning of next month to take part in the reality series, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.
The 30-year-old star is a bikini calendar favourite and will no doubt please fans by stripping down to her swimming costume for a wash in the creek if she does sign up for the challenge - that would see her tasked with eating insects and animal parts as well as performing death-defying stunts.
Speaking about the possibility of going into the jungle last year, Gemma said: "I don't know if I could cope with all the creepy crawlies on I'm A Celebrity!
"I'd be away from my family for so long. Your whole life would be consumed while you were there and I don't think I could cope with that. If I don't eat, I get moody; If I get tired, I get moody and I cry - I'm a typical girl!"
However, there won't be any romance on the cards for Gemma if she works up the courage to take part, as she tied the knot with husband Ian Milton in 2012.
Meanwhile The Wanted's Max George is also said to be in negotiations to join the line-up of the Ant & Dec hosted ITV show, while Vicky Pattison's departure from 'Geordie Shore' was rumoured to have been influenced by her desire to travel to the jungle.

Sue Johnston wants more roles for women

Sue Johnston wants more acting roles for women.
The 'Downton Abbey' actress - who plays the role of Lady Maid to Dowager Countess of Grantham (Dame Maggie Smith) in the ITV period drama - has confessed that although things have changed a lot since the early days of her career, she still thinks there aren't enough parts for female actors.
She said: "It's certainly improved, Julian Fellowes [the 'Downton Abbey' creator] obviously writes great parts for women, he's fond of a matriarch and he's very good at writing for women.
"It has got better but the majority of work is for men. I went to the theatre the other night and there was one girl in the cast of about 20 men and you think it still hasn't rocked back properly but it certainly has improved.
"There's still a lot of room for improvement, for women, really there is."
The 70-year-old star also spoke about the excitement of having Hollywood superstar George Clooney on set while filming a special charity episode.
Speaking to Kate Garraway on ITV's 'Lorraine', Sue admitted: "There was a huge buzz about him being around as you can imagine. Since it broke that he was in [the show] my phone has been going mad with my friends going, 'Did you see him?' He's married, gone, forget it girls!"

T-Pain: Kanye West doesn’t use auto-tune right

Kanye West has been criticised for not using auto-tune "correctly".
The rapper is a fan of the vocal-correcting software and while T-Pain - who helped popularise its use - thinks the 'Stronger' hitmaker makes "great" music, he doesn't think he is making the most of the voice processor.
He explained to 'HuffPost Live': "Kanye uses it, but he doesn't use it correctly. He makes great music with it, but the way that I use it and the way that I've shown Chris [Brown] and Jamie [Foxx] to use it, he doesn't use it that way."
The 'Up Down' singer went on to explain that Kanye should use auto-tune to "catch mistakes" before they happen.
He said: "[Kanye] sings without it first and then he puts [Auto-Tune] on after he's done with the vocals.
"You don't know how it's going to come out. You can't catch your mistakes before they happen. So sometimes it gets a little bit wobbly and things like that..."
However, T-Pain admitted he was a fan of Kanye's 2008 album '808s & Heartbreak', which made heavy use of auto-tune.
He said: "[808s & Heartbreak] was actually good, but I had a lot to do with that album."

Roger Daltrey performs at Teen Cancer fundraiser

Roger Daltrey performed an acoustic set at a charity fundraiser in America last night (28.10.14).
The Who rocker co-hosted the Strowger Trust Fundraiser For Teen Cancer America in Los Angeles in aid of the charity he founded with bandmate Pete Townshend and also took the time to perform a selection of his best-known hits for guests including Sadie Frost, Cat Deeley, Matt Goss, Liberty Ross and Sam Taylor-Johnson.
Over 30 artists, including Damien Hirst, the Chapman Brothers and Antony Gormley, donated works to be auctioned on the night, while Pete Tong manned the decks.
Teen Cancer America was founded by The Who stars to improve the lives of teenagers and young adults with cancer, echoing the work they do in the UK with the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Roger, 70, has previously spoken about how the charity helps young people fighting the disease.
He said: "At a time when your body is changing, your social life is everything and you're still trying to figure out who you are, getting cancer can seem like an impossible blow to take. But thanks to Teenage Cancer Trust, thousands of teenagers are taking it, and coming out fighting."

Michael Caine appears in Christopher Nolan films ‘without reading the script’

Sir Michael Caine agrees to appear in Christopher Nolan films without reading the script.
The Oscar-winning actor has appeared in six films made by Nolan - the latest of which is new sci-fi thriller 'Interstellar' - and Sir Michael says he's so confident in the hit-making abilities of his long-time collaborator, he accepts roles without even knowing the plot.
Speaking at the London press conference for their new film earlier today (29.10.14), Sir Michael revealed: "You spend your life as an actor saying, 'Is it going to be a hit, or is it going to be a miss?' And sometimes it's a hit and sometimes it's a miss.
"I've done six pictures with Christopher Nolan and every one of them has been a hit. So, whenever he says, 'Do you want to do a movie?' I say, 'Yes'. He says, 'Do you want to read the script?' I say, 'No'."
The acclaimed pair began working together in 2005 with 'Batman Begins' and the 81-year-old icon says that with Nolan, "nothing is what it seems".
He continued: "I remember the first time he came to me with a script. He came to my house in the country and told me he's got a script for a movie. I said, 'What is it?' He said, 'Batman'. And I thought to myself that I'm too old to play Batman.
"So I asked what he wanted me to play? And he said, 'I want you to play the butler'. And I thought to myself about what sort of dialogue I'd have. Do I say, 'Hello sir, would you like a beverage?' He said, 'No Michael, read the script'. And, of course, I read the script and it was the foster father of Batman. Nothing is what it seems with Christopher."

Kris Jenner wants to find love on screen

Kris Jenner wants to find love on a new reality show.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' matriarch - who has been romantically linked with 'Bachelor' contestant Ben Flajnik and Justin Bieber's tour manager Corey Gamble since splitting from husband Bruce Jenner last year - reportedly wants to step apart from her famous family and has been pitching a new programme to TV bosses.
A source told National Enquirer magazine: "She's already pitching the matchmaking idea.
"She hopes to steal the limelight from her famous daughters with the launch of her own reality show."
Kris, 58, who recently filed for divorce from Bruce, 65, reportedly sees her single status as the perfect new way to "make money".
The source continued: "Kris has always been able to separate her personal feelings from business, if it presented the possibility to promote the family and make money.
"Her divorce is a perfect opportunity to do both."
Though she is interested in finding love on screen, away from the spotlight, Kris is said to have been getting to know Corey slowly.
The rumoured new couple were spotted leaving a sushi restaurant in Malibu, California on Monday night (27.10.14) and the duo also watched Kris' son-in-law, Kanye West, perform at the Life is Beautiful music festival in Las Vegas last Friday (24.10.14) before celebrating her daughter Kim Kardashian West's 34th birthday at Tao Las Vegas.

Paris Hilton’s pets jealous of Prince

Paris Hilton says her new dog has made her six other pooches jealous.
The 33-year-old socialite recently paid $13,000 for miniature Pomeranian pup Prince but since she introduced the adorable mutt to her other canine friends they have not been happy with the preferential treatment he has been getting as top dog.
Exclusively speaking to the MailOnline, she revealed: "They are jealous because I am taking Prince everywhere these days. Peter Pan is especially upset because I used to take him everywhere. He was the top dog. So there are some sad feelings there. Prince is just the new one, so he is getting the most attention."
Although she is totally besotted with Prince, Paris insists she is still giving the rest of her pet pack - which includes Chihuahua Tinkerbell, her most famous dog - lots of love and attention.
The DJ said: "I give them all attention, I am good to all of them, so they really don't feel that bad. I think Peter Pan might want some more trips out, so I will work that in."
Paris even claims her love for her dogs is what stops her from re-locating from Los Angeles to London for an extended stay in the UK capital.
She admitted: "I love London, it's my favourite city. I have so many friends there and I really like the atmosphere. But I would never move to England because I love my dogs so much. I just couldn't leave them. At heart I am a California girl."

Katie Holmes doesn’t want Cruise definition

Katie Holmes doesn't want her failed marriage to Tom Cruise to define who she is.
The 35-year-old star wants to be known as an actress rather than the person who tied the knot with the Hollywood actor - who she divorced in July 2012 after six years of marriage - and admits she is "ready for new challenges" in her life.
She said: "I don't want that moment in my life to define me, to be who I am.
"I don't want that to be what I'm known as. I was an actor before, an actor during and an actor now.
"I don't have any fear now, I don't have a lot of rules for myself, and I don't take myself that seriously."
The former couple have eight-year-old daughter Suri together and while the raven-haired beauty loves to have playful tickle fights with the youngster, she also tries to instil some good manners into the little one.
Katie added to PEOPLE magazine: "[Suri] means everything to me. I'm learning every day, and I have been since the minute I became a mom.
"My patience has grown, but between 4 and 6 pm ... I mean, wow. Between tickle fights and glitter art, I try to throw in some manners along the way."
In August, Katie was reported to have swapped New York for California when she splashed out $3.8 million on a Los Angeles mansion in a bid to boost her Hollywood acting career.
The move was also thought to be beneficial for Suri because the pair's new abode is situated in an affluent cul-de-sac populated by many children the same age as the youngster.
