Weird Al Yankovic needs Twitter break

Weird Al Yankovic thinks he needs a "vacation" from social media.
The 54-year-old singer is "obsessed" with websites like Twitter and loves having millions of people hanging on his every word.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'm a bit obsessed with Twitter and Facebook and Instagram right now. I think I need to take a vacation from it for a while. But I do love it.
"It's an amazing feeling to think of something stupid to say and hit a button and then three million people are reading it."
The 'White and Nerdy' hitmaker also thinks Twitter has had a positive impact on his career.
He said: "[Twitter] allows me to interact with my fans and get feedback on anything I happen to be doing at the time. And it's brought me a lot closer to my peers in the comedy industry.
"I've been enjoying social media for the last few years and it certainly helped me in a major way with the release of this album."
The singer loves interacting with his fans on the social media website and is overwhelmed by their support, particularly by one group of fans who are campaigning to get him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
He said: "Normally I read every single mention, every single response I get on Twitter but this week it's been impossible. The outpouring from the fans have been truly overwhelming.
"Whether or not I ever get a star on the 'Walk of Fame' is sort of immaterial to me. The fact that I have fans that care enough to spend all that time and effort to make that happen - that to me is the prize, to know I have such wonderful, dedicated fans."
Weird Al's new album 'Mandatory Fun' is out now.

Helen Mirren slams social media

Dame Helen Mirren has branded all social media "distasteful".
The 'Hundred-Foot Journey' actress - who is married to director Taylor Hackford - thinks websites like Twitter can be useful for marketing and as a political "tool", but she won't use them herself.
When asked if she is on Twitter or another form of social media, the 68-year-old actress replied: "No, I'm not a social media person. It's not that it upsets me, that's not the right word, but I find it distasteful. But I see it as a great tool politically and obviously it's a great marketing tool."
However, the 'Queen' star admitted she once signed up for a Facebook account to keep in touch with her family - but deleted her profile after just a day.
She added to Britain's HELLO! magazine: "Well, I did - I went on Facebook for about 24 hours because I have young members of my family and I travel a lot and I wanted to be in touch.
"But I found very rapidly - literally within 24 hours - that I just found it so intrusive and I didn't want strangers wanting to become my friends. I just didn't want that. There was something really scary about it and I didn't like it at all."

JJ Hamblett’s parenting excuse

J.J. Hamblett uses parenthood to get out of things he doesn't want to do.
The Union J singer is proud to be a father but his bandmates - George Shelley, Josh Cuthbert and Jaymi Hensley - admit he has changed since girlfriend Caterina Lopez gave birth to their son Princeton last November.
Josh said: "He likes saying it, he likes saying, 'Yeah, I'm a dad now'.
"If there's ever anything that the record label wants us to do that JJ doesn't agree with ... so if they're like, 'Guys, you need to act really kiddy and funny' - JJ is like, 'I'm 26, I'm a dad and I can't do this'."
The 'Beautiful Life' singer previously expressed his intention to juggle his career and family life, citing former JLS singer Marvin Humes - who has 14-month-old daughter Alaia-Mai with wife Rochelle Humes - as a good example to follow.
Speaking before the birth of his son, he said: "Well, that's the thing, there's so many people like Marvin who, although JLS are splitting up, he's still doing 'The Voice', he's still DJ'ing all the time, he's away 24/7 but you've got to make small sacrifices. The harder we work the more successful Union J will be, the better life the kid will have."

Chloe Sevigny has cool energy

Chloe Sevigny has a "cool energy" about her, according to Karla Crome.
The 'Misfits' actress starred alongside Chloe in the TV drama 'Hit & Miss' and her co-star made her feel very comfortable when they were working together.
Karla explained: "[Chloe Sevigny can be my royal advisor.] She was my co-star in 'Hit And Miss'. She's so laidback and confident in herself. She's not intimidating, just very stylish and has a cool energy about her."
The 25-year-old beauty is thankful for being given her role alongside Chloe as she thinks it kick-started her career.
She continued: "That show was my breakthrough. My character, Riley, was incredibly complex and I don't think I appreciated it at the time. But when I see the scripts now and what's available to young women, I see how unique that part was."
Karla also admitted that she never would have predicted she'd have a career in actress when she was younger as she claims she was an "awkward" child.
The brunette beauty told Stylist magazine: "I'm a bit awkward. I'm that person at school who always had a cold and an eye patch and asthma."

Dan Osborne wants to act

Dan Osborne wants to pursue a career in acting.
'The Only Way Is Essex' hunk - who is dating 'EastEnders' actress Jacqueline Jossa - has revealed he's hoping to follow in her footsteps by trying his hand at acting.
Quizzed on whether he had any plans for his future aside from filming the ITV2 reality series, he confessed: "I want to be an actor. That was my ambition before TOWIE. I have always wanted to be an actor. I've had a few acting classes.
"I think I'd be good at it. You've just got to be luck though."
The 23-year-old star also revealed he wouldn't mind taking on a similar role to Dermot O'Leary on the 'X Factor'.
He added to new! magazine: "I'd love to present too."
Dan - who welcomed his first child, son Teddy, with his ex-girlfriend earlier this year - claims his new girlfriend would be more than supportive if he was to land an acting role.
Quizzed on whether the soap star would help him learn his lines, he added: "Yeah, we would go through them together."

Megan Fox cut out bread to lose baby weight

Megan Fox cut out bread to lose her baby weight.
The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' star, 28, has bounced back into shape after giving birth to her second child Bodhi five months ago, but she admits getting her pre-baby figure back was a lot harder this time around.
Speaking to E! News, she said: "Well, let me tell you, the first time I didn't do anything, I was just lucky and I was younger, and then the second time it wasn't coming off the same way and I had to eliminate bread from my diet. It's typical but I'm on that high-protein, low-carbohydrate, very low-sugar diet.
"It's kind of awful but it's what I'm doing."
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty - who also has 22-month-old son Noah with husband Brian Austin Green - believes her sons will grow up to "hate" her because she doesn't want them to date until they are much older.
She said recently: "My kids aren't going to go to dances where they're next to girls. Are you kidding me? No girls! Not until they're 25 or something. I'm going to try and keep them in the house - they're going to hate me!"

Chris Martin has ‘a lot of love’ for Gwyneth Paltrow

Chris Martin admits there's "a lot of love" between him and Gwyneth Paltrow.
The Coldplay frontman, 37, insists he and his estranged wife are still "very close" following their split earlier this year but claims they haven't got back together, despite rumours, even though there are feelings between them.
Speaking on radio show 'Valentine in the Morning' yesterday (25.07.14), he said: "The truth is ... well, I don't really love talking about this stuff. But the thing we told everyone at the beginning of the year is true.
"We are very close. We are not together. But we're, you know, that's the truth and that's it. There's a lot of love. No scandal, I'm afraid. I wish I could give you scandal."
The former couple - who announced they were "consciously uncoupling" in March after 10 years of marriage - have remained amicable since the split by regularly dining together as a family with their children Apple, 10, and Moses, nine.
However, Chris previously suggested that his "issues" were partly to blame for the breakdown of his marriage.
He said: "About two years ago I was a mess really because I can't enjoy the thing that we are good at and I can't enjoy the great things around me because I'm burdened by this - I've got to not blame anyone else and make some changes."

Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid to wed in Northern Ireland?

Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid are reportedly planning to get married in Northern Ireland.
The couple - who got engaged last month - flew to the Snow Patrol singer's hometown of Derry on Wednesday (23.07.14) to scout potential wedding venues for their big day, according to the Belfast Telegraph newspaper.
The loved-up duo were joined by Courteney's 10-year-old daughter Coco - whom she has with her ex-husband David Arquette - on the trip as they paid a visit to Johnny's family to celebrate their engagement.
The rocker, 38, proposed to the former 'Friends' star, 50, in June after just six months of dating.
The pair shared the happy news with their fans shortly afterwards, by each posting on Twitter, "I'm engaged to him!" and "I'm engaged to her!"
Courteney and Johnny were first spotted together in December when they attended the beauty's close friend Jennifer Aniston's holiday party in Los Angeles.
However, speculation things were moving very fast began to swirl earlier this year when the couple's mutual friend Ed Sheeran - who introduce them to one another - let slip that they had moved in together.
Meanwhile, Courteney finalised her divorce from her ex-husband David in May last year, but the ex-lovers remain on good terms and share custody of Coco.

Cheryl Cole to have ‘Mrs C’ tattoo removed

Cheryl Cole is getting her "Mrs C" tattoo removed.
The 31-year-old singer has had a consultation with US artist Nikko Hurtado about getting rid of the inking on the back of her neck - which pays tribute to her ex-husband Ashley Cole - following her surprise wedding to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, 33, earlier this month.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Cheryl wants Nikko to fly over soon and remove the pesky tatt.
"It's been on her to-do list for a long time but now she's a married woman again the "Mrs C" inking feels even more inappropriate. Of course, the rush to remove it is as much out of respect for her new husband as it is for herself. She wants Jean to know that she has moved on from her past, especially where Ashley's concerned."
The 'Crazy, Stupid Love' hitmaker is keen for Nikko - who etched Cheryl's huge rose tattoo onto her backside last year - to carry out the procedure as she's built up a bond with him and feels she can trust him.
The source explained: "Not only did she love the results, but it also meant a lot to her that he never opened his mouth about it. So she knows he will be discreet about this, too, which is very important to her."
Cheryl - who was married to soccer star Ashley from 2006 until 2010 - tied the knot with Jean-Bernard in a secret ceremony on the Caribbean island of Mustique on July 7 following a whirlwind three-month romance.

Kate Upton always wanted curvy figure

Kate Upton has always wanted a curvaceous figure.
The 'Other Woman' star, 22, admits she "begged" for a shapely body when she first started modelling and was overjoyed when people started praising her sexy shape.
Speaking to the UK's ELLE magazine, she said: "When I first started modelling, I was a normal catalogue model. Then, I became a woman and I was really excited about becoming a woman.
"Because I'm from Florida, it's all about being in bathing suits. It's a different view of beauty there. You are ugly if you don't have a curvy body. And I didn't have one, and then I got one, and thought, 'Yessss!'
"And then people say, 'Oh, wow, you're healthy.' And you're like, 'Wait, what? I've been begging for this body my whole life!' "
However, the Sports Illustrated model previously admitted she found it difficult when she first started going for auditions for films because agents weren't sure if her hourglass figure was right for the big screen.
She said: "It's weird that in the press they'll be like, 'Your biggest fight was with the industry and the designers', and I'm like, no, my biggest fight was with my agents, trying to get them to sign me into the castings.
"I thought, how I'm going to come out of this will be an example for girls."

Jenny McCarthy’s son reported her to police

Jenny McCarthy's son called the police on her.
The former Playboy model admits Evan, 12 - whom she has with ex-husband John Asher - once reported her for texting on her phone whilst she was driving.
Speaking on Sirius radio show 'Dirty Sexy Funny', she recalled the experience: "We're driving in the car and of course I text and drive. He called the police on me and said, 'My mom is texting and driving right now.' "
To avoid getting in trouble with the law, the 41-year-old star quickly grabbed her son's phone and launched it out of the window.
However, this isn't the first time Evan has called the police about his mother as he also rung them when she once sneaked out of the house for a cigarette and he became anxious about her whereabouts.
She explained: "He called 911 and said, 'I am alone in the house. My mom abandoned me.' I go back in the house and it's 911 and they're like, 'Your child just called. Is there an emergency?' I'm like, 'What? No!"
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty - who engaged to Donnie Wahlberg - recently left Evan "horrified" after she had the "birds and the bees" talk with him.
She said previously: "It was difficult ... but being the kind of single mom I've been, I've had to wear two hats and I'm proud to say that Evan will never be having sex for the rest of his life after my conversation."

Jennifer Lopez ‘danced all night’ at 45th birthday bash

Jennifer Lopez "danced all night long" at her 45th birthday bash in the Hamptons last night (24.07.14).
The 'I Luh Ya Papi' hitmaker spent the duration of her party on the dance floor at Nammos, a Mediterranean restaurant, in New York celebrating her milestone with her friends - including Khloé Kardashian, French Montana, Scott Disick and Rachel Zoe - and family.
A source told PEOPLE.com: "She was so happy and she stayed till 4 am. They had a dinner party and there was champagne, and she danced all night long. Everybody was dancing."
The brunette beauty - who has six-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony - posted a picture of herself all dressed up for her party on Instagram yesterday evening, which she accompanied with the caption: "Let the games begin! #itsmyparty #funtimes #birthdaygirl #aintnuthingbutanumber (sic)."
Meanwhile, Jennifer's ex-boyfriend Casper Smart, whom she split from a few months ago following two years of dating, proved they're still friends after he sent her a birthday message on Twitter yesterday.
The choreographer posted a picture of a pink bear cake, which he had given Jennifer for her 43rd birthday two years ago, and accompanied it with the caption: "Happppppppy Birthday to the most Beautiful lil bear in the world!!!! May all your wishes come true!! @JLo (sic)."
