Ellie Goulding thinks Britain's royal family are "really good fun".
The 'Explosions' hitmaker admitted that whilst she felt comfortable before her performance at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding reception in 2011, it was "surreal".
The Daily Express newspaper reports Ellie as saying: "I'm friends with the [royals], so it's not like it's awkward because I don't know them. So that's fine.
"But I think just because it's performing in such an incredible place it can make it quite surreal. I think that's the only aspect of it."
She added: "They're really good fun, so it's never been weird for me, it's always just been fun."
Meanwhile, Ellie - who also performed at Prince Harry's 30th birthday celebrations earlier this year - would be happy to put in a performance again if the royal family so wished her to and credited their love for British music for her recurring invitations.
She said: "If they ask me again, of course. I'm sure I will at some point.
"I think they're big fans of British music and I feel lucky that I'm one of the people who gets to represent that at the moment."
Rihanna is "forever thankful" to Chris Brown.
The 'Diamonds' hitmaker is reportedly indebted to her 25-year-old ex-boyfriend for teaching her to be more "humbled" and was upset when he started dating model Karrueche Tran.
A source told HollywoodLife.com: "Chris Brown broke her heart and stomped on it when he brought Karrueche into the picture.
"Rihanna didn't understand why Chris made her compete with another b***h. Like, she's Rihanna. She could have any dude."
The source added: "On the real, the one thing Chris did for Rihanna, which she will forever be thankful for, is that he humbled her. He was the first man to let her know it's not always about her."
Meanwhile, Chris previously spoke out about the special "connection" he has with his new girlfriend, Karrueche, and how he would like to marry her one day.
He said recently: "I dig her, I dig her man, She's dope. I feel like especially being in this industry you need someone that understands you and understands who you are personally except for your name.
"You don't have to be buying them bags, let me stunt on you right quick. Although I do it because I love her, but that don't come with the territory, at the end of the day we have a real connection as best friends on top of our intimacy."
When asked if he would marry her one day, he added: "Yeah, man, but like I'm scared of marriage because I'm young right now. That's the only thing that ..."
Emma Watson dedicated an award to her dead pet.
The 24-year-old actress accepted the award for British Artist of the Year at the Britannia Awards, hosted by BAFTA, in Los Angeles on Thursday night (30.10.14) and devoted her win to the pet hamster she lost on the set of 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'.
In a clip from the award ceremony that will be shown on BBC America tomorrow night (02.11.14), Emma said: "I'm especially honoured to be receiving this award from the BAFTA LA because the British film industry hasn't just been a workplace for me. It's been the place that I grew up. It's been a surrogate family, really.
"And a sweet, but slightly morbid example of this, is when on the first 'Harry Potter' film, my on-set hamster Millie had a heart attack and didn't quite make it."
The 'Perks of Being A Wallflower' star explained how the movie's set decorators built a mahogany coffin for her pet, which had a velvet lining and a silver plaque with Millie's name inscribed on it.
She continued: "You're all very special to me and your vote of confidence means a lot.
"And I take it as such a great honour that you're giving me this award tonight ... Thank you very very much. And rest in peace, Millie, this one's for you."
Melanie Griffith doesn't want to rush back into dating.
The 57-year-old actress - who split from Antonio Banderas in June after eight years of marriage - has revealed she is "laying low" but knows what kind of man she would be looking for.
When asked if she'd like to meet new people, she told television show, 'Extra': "I'm just kind of laying low.
"I think I'd like to meet a cowboy, like a real [man's] man. Somebody who's a man and is not concerned with this town."
Melanie - who has 18-year-old Stella Banderas with her ex-husband - also has two children from previous marriages: Alexander Bauer and Dakota Johnson and has revealed that she won't be going to see her daughter star in 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.
The 'Crazy in Alabama' star explained: "It would just be too awkward. I think [Dakota] would be mortified if we came to see her movie. She said, 'You can see up 'til I lose my virginity and that's it."
Meanwhile, Melanie has revealed that her daughter was always keen to follow in her footsteps and become an actress.
Speaking of Dakota's childhood, she said: "She hated school. Around 11th grade, she was like, 'I'm going to be an actress. I'm going to be really big. I'm going to be bigger than you,' and she is... there is no lack of confidence with Dakota."
Lily Allen thinks selfies are dishonest.
The 'Hard Out Here' hitmaker - who believes people who take selfies are hiding "how they really look" - credits the photograph method as helpful when it comes to her music career.
She told the Mexican edition of Marie Claire: "I try to be as honest with myself as I possibly can be and hope that comes across with my music.
"Taking selfies is not how you really look like, is what you want other people to think you look like. That's what I try to apply to my music; not to take selfies."
The 29-year-old singer also revealed that she likes to annoy people and feels that "if you are not p***ing people off then you are not doing it right".
Meanwhile, Lily recently admitted that she doesn't take selfies seriously and just started posting them for her fans.
She said: "I like Instagram and recently I've gotten into the selfie because I understand that my fans are interested in what I'm wearing and how I've done my make-up or nails, so that serves a purpose.
"But I don't know why everyone is quite so obsessed with taking carefully posed pictures of themselves, then putting them on the internet. Mine tend to be a bit of a LOL; I don't take myself too seriously."
Chris Brown has opened up about his past "mistakes".
The 'Yeah 3X' hitmaker - who was convicted of assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 - has revealed he is still paying the price for his crime.
Speaking on Hot 97's 'Ebro In The Morning' radio show about the assault, he said: "So at the end of the day, I knew that was a mistake I would never make again, but I take into consideration like, dang, I was like 17, 18 - I'm 25 now.
"So I look back at it now like, dang, and I'm still doing community service and seeing the judge every month and a half over that situation.
"It's something that, in your personal life, you definitely wanna keep those skeletons in your closet but because I'm an artist like me, you gotta be public about it."
The 25-year-old singer also admitted that he suffered from his own "demons" but found songwriting therapeutic.
He explained: "Everybody has their own demons and their own skeletons, but it's only how they handle it after when it's showcased.
"Some people have great political speeches, I can't do that. I can talk about it like this. I can give you a great song."
Meanwhile, Chris spoke up about his alleged feud with rapper Drake, who started dating Rihanna after the couple split.
He said: "I'm content with who I am, so whoever decides to move on or do their thing, that's cool. You gotta consider that was in the thug Chris Brown era when I was...that was when I was all up on runnin' up on dudes."
The star also admitted that he felt hurt by the 'Diamonds' hitmaker's decision.
He added: "In a way I do...It's understandable. It's the game ... we do that at that age. I think once we hit our 30s, we're in a mature stage of life and we're not focusing on that."
Ellie Goulding has revealed she likes to "have a drink" before she goes on stage.
The 'Burn' hitmaker admits her pre-show ritual involves some liquid courage as it helps her get more "pumped" for the performance.
PageSix.com reports that Ellie said: "I always have a drink before I perform.
"I'll just have a drink ... I feel a bit more pumped and excited, but I don't get drunk. That would be a very bad idea."
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old singer has revealed she is "excited about the direction" of her new album.
She said: "I kind of don't want to give it away so soon! I feel like if I start talking about it now, I'll put it in my own head and it'll affect the process.
"I'm excited about the direction. I think it's easy to do something new and crazy, but I don't really overthink it when I get in the studio. I start a lot of stuff on guitar and I always have someone who plays piano with me."
Ellie added: "I have such an affinity with electronic music, classical music and folk music that so much stuff comes into it. All I'd like to say really is that I'm really happy and excited about the direction."
Noel Gallagher's new album is "not reflective".
The 47-year-old rocker - who was a member of Oasis until his departure in 2009 caused their split - will release his "space jazz" and "disco" LP 'Chasing Yesterday' in March and despite an apparently nostalgia-yearning title, he insists the record is not a look at his past.
Speaking about the title, he said: "It kind of fits the record. The songs are directed at two people, in a narrative sense - boy, girl, girl, boy. So it's not me looking back. It's not a reflective album at all."
The 'Don't Look Back in Anger' singer has produced the album for the first time and admits he enjoyed the experience because he could make choices he would otherwise have been advised not to.
He explained to Q magazine: "I just thought, 'F**k it, this time I haven't got a producer telling me what to do', So I left three big songs off that other bands would probably say, 'What the f**k has he done that for?' I did it deliberately to make way for these songs that were a bit more left-field."
Julia Roberts showed Lupita Nyong'o pictures of her family the first time they met.
The '12 Years a Slave' star instantly clicked with the 46-year-old beauty as soon as she was introduced to her, so much so the 'August: Osage County' actress started showing her personal photographs of her husband Danny Moder and their kids Hazel and Phinnaeus, nine, and seven-year-old Henry.
She said: "The first time I met her she took out her phone and showed me photos of her family.
"To me, that's the modern day symbol of peace and goodwill."
The 31-year-old actress has rubbed shoulders with Julia, Penelope Cruz and Kate Winslet since joining the stars as Lancome's latest ambassador, and she admitted she finds Julia particularly pleasing.
She added: "I genuinely respect and admire all of them, so I know I'm in very good company.
"I've met Julia a number of times and she is just as warm and personable as she appears."
Lupita won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in '12 Years a Slave', but she insists her rise to fame hasn't affected her life too much.
Asked how it has changed her life, she told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "I have a very heavy award. But you know, besides becoming more visible, I can't really tell you how it affects my life directly because I'm not the one in conversation about it.
"To me, it's a reminder that things that seem impossible can be possible."
Simon Webbe considered suicide before Strictly Come Dancing.
The member of hit boyband Blue has revealed that he battled with severe depression and alcoholism which led him to contemplate taking his own life, before joining the BBC competition.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I hated who I was and started questioning my whole life. I was really depressed. I never attempted suicide but I thought about it.
"I turned mirrors round so I didn't have to look at myself. I didn't want to be here, didn't want to be a part of anything,"
The 36-year-old - who has a teenage daughter, Alanah - explained that his downward spiral began when he finished a 173-date reunion tour with his 'All Rise' bandmates, and didn't know what to do next.
He said: "I was sitting at home, curtains closed, drinking a bottle of brandy a day. I didn't leave the house for weeks on end except to buy bread or milk."
The singer-songwriter - who also released two solo albums, 'Sanctuary' in 2005 and 'Grace' in 2006 - has now praised the Saturday night dancing contest for boosting his self esteem and helping him tackle his demons.
He continued: "Preparing for Strictly and being on it, I have lost four stone and changed my whole life.
"Now I want to get up in the morning. Learning the dances every week has been like therapy."
Beverley Callard will stay in 'Coronation Street' permanently after signing a new deal.
The 57-year-old actress returned to the ITV programme last year on a six-month trial contract after quitting in 2009 due to a personal battle with depression, but the Rovers Return landlady will now stay in the soap permanently having proved to be a hit with viewers.
An insider on the show told The Sun newspaper: "The word around the place is that she can now go on and become a true Corrie legend."
The mother of two - who plays Liz McDonald in the show - has become a fan favourite thanks to her cheeky one-liners and no-nonsense attitude, and has now signed a £100,000 contract which guarantees her long-term future in the show.
The well-known actress first appeared as the character in 1989, leaving nine years later to spend more time with her family, but has returned several times since and is now set to become a permanent fixture on the cobbles once again.
The source continued: "Everyone is thrilled Bev - and Liz - are going to be here for a long, long time."
Her permanent return to the soap follows a turbulent period in her life. The actress has been declared bankrupt twice in recent years due to failed businesses with her husband Jon McEwan, and also revealed that she has attempted suicide six times.
Sarah Hyland wants a boyfriend who can make her laugh.
The 'Modern Family' actress, who recently secured a three-year restraining order against ex-boyfriend Matthew Prokop after claiming he abused her for four years before she ended their relationship in August, says she is open to dating again but wants someone with a great personality.
The 23-year-old star told Life & Style magazine: "My type is people who make me laugh. I don't think it's so much about looks. It's about personality, honestly - a sense of humour, sincerity, ambition and drive."
The petite beauty recently insisted she is doing well following her personal struggles.
She said: "I'm great. Working on 'Modern Family' and spreading awareness for adoption and cleaning up after your pets."
Sarah was initially granted a temporary restraining order against Matthew last month after accusing the actor, 24, of terrorising her verbally and physically during the last four years of their romance.
Matthew also allegedly pinned her against a car during an argument about her outfit in May before repeatedly calling her a "****" and choking her.
The Emmy Award-winner stated in the court documents: "His grip was so tight that I could not breathe or speak. I was scared and in fear for my life."
Following their split, Sarah claimed her former boyfriend "relentlessly bombarded me with vile, threatening and emotionally disturbing texts and voice mails including his own suicide threats".
The former couple started dating after meeting while auditioning for 'High School Musical 3: Senior Year' in 2008. They later starred together in the Disney Channel film 'Geek Charming' in 2011.
