Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall needed magnifying glass

Britain's Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall needed a magnifying glass to see the presents gifted to them on their tour of Mexico.
Prince Charles and his wife, Duchess Camilla were presented with three miniature artworks by President Enrique Pena Nieto to mark their visit to the Latin American country, and needed the tool to see the intricate designs.
The artform - known as the Tree of Life and made of colourful clay - traditionally depict biblical stories but the artist instead had chosen to construct tiny images of the royal couple and their favourite hobbies and pastimes.
Returning the favour, the heir to the British throne and his wife later presented Mr. Pena Nieto and his other half with plates decorated with plants from his Highgrove garden and two wine coasters.
Earlier in the day, demonstrating his passion for promoting organic produce, Charles visited an island farm and travelled in a flat bottomed boat in which you have to stand rather than sit.
Meanwhile, Camilla met with two survivors of human trafficking at the Fundancion Camino A Casa - The Road Home, which provides shelter and rehabilition for under-age victims of the sex trade - and told them that she was both "humbled and moved" by their experiences.
Later today (04.11.14) the royal couple will visit the stunning Edzna Maya archaeological site, in the town of Campeche, which dates back to the year 400BC.

Campaign launched to save one of Duke and Duchess’ favourite pubs

A campaign has been launched to save one of Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's favourite pubs.
Prince William and Duchess Catherine have enjoyed many a romantic meal and quiet drink at the Old Boot Inn in Bucklebury, West Berkshire and even invited owner John Haley to their wedding in 2011, but he's now applied for planning permission to turn the 300-year-old building into a house.
Mr. Haley claims the Grade 2 listed pub, which is still open at the moment, is no longer viable as a business, prompting shocked locals to mount a "save our pub" campaign, which they hope William and Catherine will support.
Andy MacKenzie, who lives in the area, told the Daily Express newspaper: "The Old Boot Inn is a valuable village community asset and would be greatly missed.
"The pub is well used and famed for royal patronage".
Other residents opposing the transformation of the building say it would "cause irrevocable damage to the unique character of this beautiful village" and are urging West Berkshire Council to reject the plans.
However, the future of the eating and drinking establishment so far remains unclear as financial data vital to the viability report has yet to be examined.

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for ‘Wales away day’

Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are to visit Wales later this week.
Prince William and his wife, Duchess Catherine - who is pregnant with their second child - are set to make a joint engagement after enjoying a week off at the Queen's Balmoral estate in Scotland when they visit the British country on Saturday (08.11.14).
The royal couple's "Wales away day" will begin with a visit to the Valero Pembroke Refinery, which is a significant employer of approximately 1,2000 locals in the west of the country, where they celebrate its 50th anniversary following its official opening by the Queen Mother in 1964.
William and Catherine - who have 13-month-old son Prince George together - will be presented with a timeline of the 50-year history of the refinery which will show its relationship with the local community.
They will also meet with workers, apprentices, placement students and their mentors before visiting the control room to meet blending and shipping workers before proceeding to the Fire Hall to meet representatives from various community organisations supported by the refinery.
The final element of their visit is likely to be of interest to art graduate Catherine, as both she and William will unveil a plaque and painting by a local artist.
The couple will also watch a performance by the Young Actors Studio, who work in partnership with the refinery through The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, before attending the Rugby Union international match between Wales and Australia at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

Peter Capaldi experiemented with Master-ful kisses

Peter Capaldi experimented with lots of different kisses with The Master for their smooching scene in 'Doctor Who'.
The 56-year-old actor - who plays the Doctor - had to lock lips with his infamous foe who has changed sex and become a female Time Lord, now known as The Mistress and portrayed by Michelle Gomez, in last weekend's episode 'Dark Water'.
Director Rachel Talalay has revealed the co-stars shot multiple takes of the kiss because Capaldi wanted to get it exactly right.
In an interview with MTV.com, she said: "Michelle had to experiment with so many things in the read through, and you know she would bring something so funny to it no matter what. And Peter loves doing variety - he loves going again, and trying something completely new.
"We could have spent all day letting them play with that, so I wish you could see all the takes of it. We were all on the floor laughing. I didn't have to do anything but stand back and watch the magic.
"One of Peter's debates was that it was very much scripted so that his eyes were closed ... And we had a long discussion of closed/open. Can you be as shocked by it? Which is most effective?"
Talalay also revealed her experience making 1991 horror movie 'Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare' - the sixth film in the 'Nightmare on Elm Street' franchise - was very useful for bringing to life the Cybermen in the episode.
She revealed: "I'm very glad that I worked on 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' because at that point I learned early on tricks about mechanical effects, physical effects, make-up effects and what then was visual effects, not digital effects. So I had a vocabulary in my head of what you can do, because you're balancing cost, you're balancing efficiency, and you're balancing spectacle. Number one is spectacle, spectacle, spectacle ... Some of the action was so large and significant that I felt like I was directing a Marvel movie."
'Death in Heaven' - the series finale of 'Doctor Who' which Talalay also directed - airs on BBC One this Saturday (08.11.14).

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini reveals Lola inspired her X Factor performance

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini says her performance on 'The X Factor' on Sunday (02.11.14) was inspired by Lola Saunders.
The 31-year-old beauty delivered an eye-catching rendition of her new single 'I Don't Care' and speaking after the programme, she revealed Lola - who was voted off the ITV reality show - encouraged her sexy moves.
Cheryl told the Metro newspaper: "Lola has given me some dance moves this week, so I actually learnt a few from her." Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini - Cheryl's new husband - was among the crowd for the live show, and whereas he is usually reserved during her performances, the Frenchman appeared to be enjoying watching his wife in action.
A source explained: "JB is usually bored during the live show recordings but he couldn't tear his eyes off her during her stunning performance.
"He was clapping the whole time and also whipped out his camera to photograph her. He looked so proud. Normally he is not even watching what is happening on stage."
Meanwhile, Lola has been gushing about her boyfriend of four years, Jordan, revealing her mother was instrumental in the pair getting together.
She explained: "My mum always used to say, 'Isn't Jordan nice?' and I would think, 'Yeah'.
"He was always dead shy at school so it was after school we got together and things blossomed. But my mum was the matchmaker. If she said, 'I don't like him', I would be put off."

Allan Cubitt: Camera ‘lingered too intimately’ on murders

Allan Cubitt claims the camera "lingered too intimately" on murder scenes in the first series of 'The Fall'.
The creator of the controversial TV thriller - which was accused of glamorising violence against women - has confessed director Jakob Verbruggen may have spent too much time depicting the killer's brutal crimes.
He said: "It may be that the camera lingered too intimately on certain things..."
Allan has now taken over as director of the second series, which sees the return of 'Fifty Shades of Grey' actor Jamie Dornan as murderer Paul Spector and Gillian Anderson as Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson, and he's admitted he would've made very different decisions had he been behind the camera for the first series.
He told Radio Times magazine: "There are many, many things that I would have done differently. I mean, I was very involved with the editing, but you work with the material you've got."
Series two of the BBC Two drama - which is set in Belfast, Northern Ireland - is set to air later this month and Gillian has defended it against criticism.
She explained of the way in which Paul's character is seen laying out his victims: "From my perspective, he's posing these women as if they are posing for him - in seduction.
"It's not a fashion magazine shoot type thing. It is what turns him on."

Adam Woodyatt ‘wouldn’t buy’ Ian Beale being murderer

'EastEnders' actor Adam Woodyatt "wouldn't buy it" if Ian Beale was his daughter's murderer.
The 46-year-old star - who has played Ian on the BBC One soap since it first began in 1985 - admits he doesn't know who is responsible for the murder of Lucy Beale, but insists he doesn't think it would be believable for his character to be guilty.
He said: "It's possible. But if that happened, I'd have a long chat with our executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins to try and find out why. I don't think so, though. I wouldn't buy that one."
The identity of Lucy's killer has been a mystery since her murder in April this year and is set to be revealed during the show's upcoming 30th anniversary in February 2015, and Adam has confessed the storyline has been one of the most challenging he's ever been involved in.
He told Radio Times magazine: "On an emotional level, nothing has come close to this. Dominic has given me a brilliant storyline which has, at times, been very challenging. But the whole point of soaps is to portray real life and this is what happens to some families.
"Grief can be very raw. And I can't use a tear stick, so when Ian's cried, I've really cried."
Adam added: "As far as the character of Lucy goes, Hetti Bywater might have only played her for a short period of time, but I've known the character for 20 years. So it has been distressing."

Michelle Rodriguez wants Cara Delevinge back

Michelle Rodriguez wants to sort things out with her ex-girlfriend Cara Delevingne.
The 'Fast & Furious 7' actress reportedly wants to win the supermodel back after seeing her at the LACMA Art and Film Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday (01.11.14).
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Michelle was telling her friends that seeing Cara made her miss her and she desperately wants to sort things out.
"She has such great memories of their time together and would love to sit down with Cara and talk through everything.
"Michelle thought their relationship was great and wants to work things out."
The insider also revealed the 36-year-old actress even went as far as to send Cara a note via a waitress who was working at the showbiz event.
The source said: "Michelle asked a waitress to give Cara a note asking her to come over and talk to her.
"But Cara ignored it. She's still hurt about everything that happened. She was really nervous about seeing Michelle and clung to her pal Selena Gomez all night. Selena was telling friends on the night that Cara seemed nervous and anxious which is very unusual for her.
"And Selena also said there was some unfinished business between them. Everyone could sense the tension."
