Lorde insists Diplo is like a "big brother" to her.
The 'Royals' hitmaker recently claimed the DJ - whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz - has a small penis after he called for a fundraising account to pay for her friend Taylor Swift a bigger butt, but the 18-year-old star insists there is no bad feeling between them.
She said: "I love Wes and he's a big brother to me and one of my first friends in the industry, and part of having a friendship with someone like that is not letting them say stupid s**t.
"Taylor's my friend as well, and I'm a girl, and if I see some weird body-shaming on my feed I'm going to be like, 'Hey man...' We do still love each other, hopefully."
Despite her public diss to Diplo, Lorde insists she hasn't always been so outspoken.
She told FADER: "I've been notoriously quiet my whole life. So it wasn't until I started to be able to run a board meeting and direct people in the way I wanted things to go that I gained confidence as a leader. As a businessperson, I got confident in saying, 'Hey, this is whack.' "
Diplo - who is believed to be dating Katy Perry - recently claimed he was disappointed Lorde's request for someone to pay for him a penis enlargement hadn't been fulfilled.
He wrote: "Disappointed the swift boat veterans didn't get my tiny d**k a fundly going (enlarge me bae).(sic)"
The 36-year-old music producer initially called for someone to create a fundraising account to help get the 'Shake It Off' star a new derriere.
He wrote: "Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty (sic)"
He later added: "body shaming myself right now.
"are taylor swift fans called the swift boat veterans? (sic)"
In response to Diplo, Lorde wrote: "should we do something about your tiny penis while we're at it hm (sic)"

The 'Boom Clap' singer visited the 30-year-old star's home to discuss touring plans, but a heavy evening of drinking the night before led to the alarming incident.
She told Shortlist magazine: "I went to her house, but was so hungover, I had one drink and passed out in her bathroom."
Katy - who is currently rumoured to be dating hit DJ, Diplo - was not scared of the 22-year-old popstar though, and asked the young singer to support her on her 2015 European tour dates.
The support slot was not something which the 'Fancy' singer expected though, admitting: "I'm surprised she asked me."
The star also recently revealed another drunken incident which resulted in a positive outcome, explaining she was inebriated when she wrote 'Kingdom' with Vampire Weekend musician Rostam Batmanglij, which now features on the soundtrack of 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1'.
She told music website Pitchfork: "We went to the Miley Cyrus show in LA and got really wasted. Then we went back to his house and I sat on top of his piano, and we wrote 'Kingdom'. We sung it into his phone.
"I remember thinking in the morning, 'Ugh, this is going to be the worst thing ever,' but it was really good.
"So when Ella [Lorde] reached out to me about the soundtrack, I decided to send her that song even though it's really different than my usual s**t. She was really complimentary about it."

Roger was in tears as he watched his fiancée give birth and admitted that while he found the process "brutal", he also thought it was magical watching a new life come into the world.
Speaking after JWoww's epidural, he added: "She literally pushed three times and it was over.
"It's brutal to watch but you're witnessing, out of the corner of your eye, the miracle of birth and that's truly what is it, it's an amazing thing.
"It was the most powerful thing I have ever seen. I didn't think it was possible to love something that much in a moment.
"She's perfect, she's literally perfect."

Victoria Beckham used public transport for a business trip yesterday (19.11.14).
The 40-year-old fashion designer shunned a chauffeur-driven car to take the train with friends including hairdresser Ken Paves as she travelled from London to Manchester, North West England, to promote her clothing line in the city's Selfridges department store.

The former Spice Girls star was delighted to be back in Manchester - where she met her husband - and admitted she doesn't spend as much time in the city as she would like to.
She told the Manchester Evening News newspaper: "I think Manchester has a lot of style, a lot of culture and is such an exciting place to be. The people I have met here over the years have been incredibly stylish both in clothes and in attitude.
"I don't get back as much as I would like to! It's hard with four children at school and a business to run in London to travel across the UK as often as I'd ideally want to."
