Rizzle Kicks ‘can’t afford’ Pharrell songs

Rizzle Kicks can't afford to put out the songs they recorded with Pharrell Williams.
The duo worked on a number of tracks with the producer for their last album 'Roaring 20s', though they weren't included on the finished album and now Pharell has seen his career skyrocket thanks to songs such as 'Happy', 'Get Lucky' and 'Blurred Lines', his fees have soared so the 'Down with the Trumpets' stars are unlikely to ever use the material.
Harley Sylvester said: "They're just gonna be way too expensive to use."
Jordan Stephens added: "It's a shame but it was my call not to put them on the last album.
"I stand by it. You can't put a price on something that's in the universe for ever."
The pair showcase a more disco sound on their new single 'Tell Her' and admit they have become disillusioned and uninspired by the current rap scene.
Jordan told The Sun newspaper: "I'm definitely not going to stop rapping, but at the moment rap as a culture just kind of does my head in.
"I'm not listening to it any more. In the UK I hear a lot of imitation of US rap and I don't feel inspired by it.
"And more importantly, rap has taken a decline in terms of its mainstream appeal.
"I started to realise I can sing. It's liberating, it's an evolution and it's fun."

Lindsay Lohan: List leak was cruel

Lindsay Lohan thinks it was "cruel" that a list of her famous former lovers was made public.
The 'Mean Girls' actress wrote down stars she claimed to have slept with - including Colin Farrell, Justin Timberlake, The Wanted singer Max George and Coldplay's Guy Berryman - and when the list was made public, it was alleged she had left the note in a bar, but she insists she only wrote down the men's names as part of an exercise in rehab.
She said: "I wrote it when I was at the Betty Ford (rehab) clinic.
"Writing that was one of my steps in AA (Alcoholics Anonymous).
"The anonymity of that should never have been leaked - someone stole that and put it out.
"And that's a really cruel thing to do."
The 28-year-old star admitted she was left "really hurt" by the publication of something so intimate.
She added in an interview with The Sun newspaper: "It's a really personal thing that you do with one other person and no one ever sees it.
"So, that really hurt."
The 'Machete' actress also confirmed recent speculation she is writing an autobiography, but insisted it "would never" include details of her sex life.
She added: "I think it will be more like the 'Harry Potter' series. I won't be able to fit it all in one book."

Robin Williams’ friend pens ‘soldier’ tribute

The husband of the person who found Robin Williams' body has penned a touching tribute to the late star.
Dan Spencer - who is married to the 'Mrs. Doubtfire' star's close friend and personal assistant Rebecca Erwin Spencer - spoke movingly of the "lonely little boy" and his life-long love of games.
He posted on Facebook: "As a little boy, he was alone in his room with his toy soldiers while his parents went off on business trips.
"You can imagine his mother and father telling him to be a good little soldier while they were away. Then he would be left alone to play with his friends, which were little Army men. When his parents returned, he received a gift, a token for his good behavior, maybe more little soldiers to add to his collection.
"Those toys remained with him throughout his life and were often given prominent space in his home on specially crafted display cases. He discovered video games, first-person shooters for computer and then for Xbox.
"Name a game, no matter how obscure, and he owned it. He played his soldier games even up to age 62. We had an expression for his avid gaming. We said he was in there 'saving the world.'"
He then went on to recall Robin's work with the United Service Organisation (USO), and how he "conquered the world" as he visited war-torn areas like Afghanistan and Iraq to entertain the troops.
And while the tragic star - who married third wife Susan Schneider in 2011 - had a "happy ending" in sight, Dan told how his loved ones were left "heartbroken" watching his "final conflict" with depression.
He concluded: "In his advancing years, our hero found a new love who we knew would march with him to the end of the rainbow. After decades of battles, a happy ending was in sight.
"But his final conflict was heartbreaking to witness. Oh, if you could only have seen the war raging inside him. It would have stopped your heart. We fought the fight with him, but it left him defeated.
"Now our hero has laid down his arms. He has bid his soldiers farewell. The final fight is over.
"At last, that lonely little boy is at peace."

Lionel Richie wrote Lady on the toilet

Lionel Richie wrote Kenny Rogers' hit song 'Lady' while he was on the toilet.
The former Commodores singer penned the 1980 hit for Kenny, and the country legend has revealed Lionel went to the restroom for inspiration to write the track's second verse when they were in the studio together.
During an appearance on the 'Today Show', Kenny said: "Lionel doesn't write entire songs, he writes ideas. We were in the studio recording the song, and I said, 'Where's the second verse?' and they said, 'Lionel's in the toilet writing them right now.' "
Kenny had no problem with Lionel's unconventional method and can appreciate he got the peace he needed on the toilet to come up with the right lines.
The 75-year-old musician - who is being honoured at the Country Music Hall of Fame with an exhibit entitled 'Kenny Rogers: Through the Years' documenting his incredible career - added: "Lionel can't write unless he has the pressure to write. ... He went in there to kinda get away from everything and to focus."
'Lady' went on to become one of Kenny's biggest hits, reaching number on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart as well as topping the Billboard Hot Country Singles and Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts.

David Ayer looks forward to Fury screening at BFI London Film Festival

David Ayer has revealed his pride at the news 'Fury' will close this year's BFI London Film Festival.
The screenwriter is set to attend the premiere in London on October 19, when he will be joined by Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt, who stars as an army sergeant who takes command of a tank crew for a mission that requires them to go behind enemy lines.
Ayer, 46, said: "It's a true pleasure to be returning to England, where we shot the film.
"The fields of Oxfordshire and Bovingdon Airfield in Hertfordshire were our home for 12 weeks last year, so it's something of a homecoming for us to present the movie at its European premiere. I'm thrilled that festival audiences will be among the first in Europe to see it."
Reflecting on 'Fury', Clare Stewart, London Film Festival director, said: "Rarely is a film so successful at balancing the human drama of war with such thrilling action sequences."
The film also features appearances from Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman and Michael Pena.
The London Film Festival will open on October 8 and will feature a wide array of events, including a screening of 'The Imitation Game', which tells the story of wartime codebreaker Alan Turing.

Paul Walker’s car wreckage thief is jailed

A man has been sentenced to six months in prison after he stole a piece of wreckage from the crash that killed Paul Walker.
Jameson Witty, 18, will spend half a year behind bars after he and his accomplice Anthony Edward Janow, 26, pleaded no contest to misdemeanour charges.
The youngsters were caught on camera pulling off parts of the Porsche Carrera GT on November 30 after the tow truck removing it from the devastating scene in Santa Clarita, California, stopped at traffic lights.
After witnessing the heartless crime, the tow truck driver reported it to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.
The statement reads: "At one point the driver of the tow truck stopped at the red light E/B Newhall Ranch Road
at McBean Parkway.
"A witness saw a male exit a vehicle that was following the tow truck. The male grabbed a piece of the wrecked Porsche off the tow truck bed. The male drove away with the stolen vehicle part."
It is believed Anthony will be given the same sentence when he appears in court in October.
Paul was tragically killed last year after the Porsche Carrera GT he was a passenger in crashed into a tree and burst into flames in Santa Clarita.
His longterm friend Roger Rodas was also killed in the fiery crash.

Kristin Cavallari finds her husband "sexier" now he's a father.
The 27-year-old beauty loves watching the NFL star Jay Cutler with their two sons Camden, two, and Jaxon, three months, and admits she finds him more attractive because he's such a "great dad" to their children.
Speaking to Chicago's Michigan Avenue magazine, she said: "Jay is a great dad. He's incredibly hands-on, and he has been since day one. It's so sweet seeing him with Camden and Jax, and there's nothing sexier than seeing your husband as a great dad. I couldn't ask for a better partner in this situation."
Meanwhile, the former 'The Hills' star and her beau, whom she married last year, were initially planning to have four children, but they've now decided to add just one more to their brood.
She explained: "Before we had children, Jay and I both wanted four, and now we're thinking three, but we're just going to have to see how it goes.
"Right now the last thing on my mind is having another baby, but it is a ton of fun."

Tori Spelling is ‘proud’ of Dean McDermott

Tori Spelling is "proud" of Dean McDermott for working through his issues.
The 'True Tori' star was left devastated when her husband confessed to cheating on her last December, but she insists they're slowly getting through their problems and are stronger than ever before.
Writing on her website, she said: "Our family has been through a lot this last year. I'm happy and proud to say that we are doing really well, and that Dean and I are working very hard to make our relationship and our family better than ever. I'm proud of Dean for all of the hard work he's been doing on himself."
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty, 41, hopes her martial woes will teach her children Liam, seven, Stella, six, Hattie, two, and 22-month-old Finn a lesson.
She said previously: "I hope to be able to have a very candid conversation with them one day because I hope we will have made it through this and made it out on the other side, and we survived something that was a tough thing.
"We made it through and we can talk about it freely and say, 'You know, things aren't always easy and you've got to work on a relationship, and somethings things happen that isn't great but you move forward. I hope that's the case and I hope to be able to talk to them about it."

Speaking to the MailOnline, he said: "With everything going on this year we are both so busy. So we will get married next year, probably in Europe."
The 25-year-old hunk is keen to incorporate a 'Star Wars' theme into his big day but insists he'll let Nareesha, whom he has been dating for six years, choose her own style of wedding dress.
He explained: "She wants to look like a princess and is more interested in a 'Cinderella' type of wedding which is perfectly fine and understandable. I would never make her wear a slave dress."
The couple moved from the UK to the US earlier this year and are currently focusing on finding a house and settling into life in Los Angeles.
He said: "This is an exciting journey for us. It's a new stage. We love being outdoors and in the sun, being active. It's a good place for us."

Ariana Grande believes she’s been cheated on

Ariana Grande believes she's been cheated on before.
The 21-year-old singer - who has dated The Wanted's Nathan Sykes and Jai Brooks in the past - is "99.9 percent" sure a former flame was once unfaithful behind her back and the experience has inspired her new song 'Break Your Heart Right Back.'
She told Attitude magazine of the track: "It's about a boy who cheats on a girl with another boy.
"That's a very fun concept. Well, originally it was going to be about a boy who cheats with a girl, but then I was like, 'No, I want it to be about a boy who cheats on a girl with another boy.' "
She added to the Metro newspaper: "It's one of my favourites on the album ['My Everything'] and it's really funny because I believe it has happened to me. I'm not 100 percent positive, but I'm 99.9 percent positive.
"I would rather he cheats on me with a guy than with a girl any day! If I found out my boyfriend was gay, I would be like 'OK!' I'd be so relieved."
However, the 'Problem' hitmaker has since taken to her Twitter account to claim the track doesn't necessarily refer to an ex-boyfriend, but is something she's experienced a "long time ago."
She tweeted: "People loooove twisting my words lol. I never said "my ex". so don't trip. It was a a looooong time ago.... and it made for a great song. (sic)."
