Libertines to headline Glastonbury

The Libertines are set to headline Glastonbury.
The 'Time For Heroes' rockers - who got back together last year for a string of shows - are reportedly at the top of organisers' wish-lists for the annual event, which takes place at Worthy Farm, Somerset, South West England, in June 2015, though it is unclear whether they would perform on the main Pyramid stage or another platform elsewhere on the site.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The Libertines have been on Glastonbury's wishlist for ages but shot straight to the top when they saw the appetite for them.
"They are still deciding if the band will headline the Pyramid or the Other Stage."
If The Libertines do get a headline slot, they are expected to join Foo Fighters and Fleetwood Mac at the event, though both bands have insisted they are not performing there next year.
Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood recently said: "A lot of folks think that we are, so loud and clear: we love Glastonbury and all the surrounding history of such a lovely festival but we're not playing it. No bad faith for Glastonbury, because I just don't want people thinking it's us ... But never say never."
However, the band's schedule for their 'On With The Show Tour' in Europe has a gap over the weekend of June 26 to June 28 when Glastonbury takes place.
And Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl insisted he hasn't been asked to perform, but would be happy to take to the stage.
He said: "[Michael Eavis, organiser] hasn't called me. I mean, I don't want to give out my phone number on air, but I like playing shows! I've been to that festival before. It's pretty fun. We'll see what happens. We'll get a conference call happening, we can work this out."
Oasis - who split in 2009 - have also been speculated to be reforming for the festival.

Jake Wood is missing his kids

Jake Wood is missing his children because he's training so hard on 'Strictly Come Dancing.
The 'EastEnders' star twerked his way to the top of the leaderboard last weekend with a near-perfect score of 38 for his samba, and although he is really enjoying the experience he has found it frustrating spending less time with his kids, Amber, nine, and Buster, six.
He said: "It's tough. I'm not seeing as much of the kids as I'd like, normally I'd do the school run a few times a week."
The 42-year-old actor - who has appeared as Max Branning in the BBC One soap since 2006 - began dancing on the competition in September, and has shown a great improvement to become one of the favourites to win the Glitterball Trophy, along with pop stars Pixie Lott and Frankie Bridge.
Despite the gruelling rehearsals and tough training, Jake is still loving working with his dance partner Janette Manrara and is very proud that his kids and wife Alison Wood are rooting for him ever week.
He gushed: "They've done a score board for me at home on the wall and have little tea parties when the show is on. It's just a real family experience, they are really proud of me."
The handsome actor is now looking forward to having a good break at Christmas when the dancing competition is over.
He said: "It's fine as there's a cut-off - we're focused on having a lovely family Christmas and shutting the door. I have a two-week break from 'EastEnders' too."

Charlie Higson writing Jekyll and Hyde drama

Charlie Higson is creating a new 'Jekyll and Hyde' drama for ITV.
The 'Fast Show' comic is to write a 10-part series for the broadcaster which will be inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's classic Victorian era novella about kind-hearted Dr. Jekyll who becomes the monstrous Mr. Hyde after drinking a potion he has concocted.
Higson's story will be set in 1930s London and the main protagonist will be the character Robert Jekyll, the grandson of the doctor and he is very excited about revisiting such an iconic horror character.
The 56-year-old writer said: "It's an exciting challenge to take Stevenson's work and use it as the basis for a new 'Jekyll and Hyde'.
"So many superheroes with secret dual personalities have been brought to life thanks to 'Jekyll & Hyde'. He's one of literatures most important and influential characters and it's a privilege to be rediscovering him."
The plot will focus on Robert Jekyll's investigation into his past to try and discover his true identity and the reason for his "curse" which sees him transform into the evil Hyde when he becomes extremely angry or when a person is in mortal peril.
Higson's previous writing includes the 'Young Bond' novels - which explore the early life of British super-spy James Bond - and 'The Enemy' young adult book series. He has also adapted Norman Hunter's 'Professor Branestawm' children's books into a TV movie, 'The Incredible Adventures of Professor Branestawm', which will be broadcast over Christmas on BBC One.
Shooting on the drama series is due to begin early next year and it is scheduled to be broadcast on ITV in 2016.

James Corden thought Meryl Streep would ‘die’

James Corden thought Meryl Streep was going to "die" when they filmed 'Into the Woods'.
The 36-year-old actor admits he couldn't help but worry about his own future when his veteran co-star caught her shoe on her dress as she jumped on a table during a rehearsal.
He recalled: "[She] starts to fall back, head first. Time slowed down and I thought, 'I'm about to watch Meryl Streep die. It's happening.'
"I wish I could say I didn't consider my own career in this and think, 'This film's gonna go down the ****.'"
While James and director Rob Marshall "froze", Emily Blunt - who was pregnant with her daughter Hazel, now 10 months - leapt in to save her co-star.
James added: "Rob Marshall freezes . . . The person who stepped in to save her life that day was not the two men in the room, but the pregnant woman leaps forward, catches Meryl Streep, and Rob and I were just like [gasp]."
The British star also admitted he was initially in awe of being around the 65-year-old acting legend.
Speaking during a special screening of the movie for Yahoo! Movies, he said: "All of a sudden, you're in a room talking to Meryl Streep, like this is just something that you do."

Brad Pitt to introduce Rihanna at ball

Brad Pitt will introduce Rihanna at her Diamond ball next month.
The 'We Found Love' hitmaker is thrilled to have the support of the 'Fury' actor and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel - who will host the inaugural event - at the gala, which is raising money for the singer's Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) and takes place on December 11.
She said in a statement: "It is such an honour to have Jimmy Kimmel host this event. There is no one more hilarious to make the first annual Diamond Ball an incredible night. I'm blessed by his support.
''Brad Pitt is not only a phenomenal talent, but I admire him and am inspired by his philanthropic work."
Around 600 guests will attend the ball, which will take place at the private 157-acre The Vineyard in Beverly Hills, and as well as a performance from Rihanna - who will be backed by an orchestra - they will also enjoy a live auction and a celebratory dinner.
Rihanna's CLF is named in honour of her grandparents Clara and Lionel Braithwaite and works globally to improve the lives of underserved communities in the arts, culture, education, and health.
In 2012, the 26-year-old singer helped found the Clara Braithwate Center for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in her native Barbados after her grandmother lost her battle with the disease, and some funds raised at the ball will go towards financing improvements at the clinic.

Victoria Beckham gets son pierced

Victoria Beckham took her son to a shopping centre to get his ear pierced at the weekend.
The 40-year-old fashion designer stunned shoppers at a branch of Claire's in Westfield, Shepherd's Bush, West London, when she helped eldest child Brooklyn, 15, select a stud before having the store manager insert it into his ear.
Manager Joe Parker said: "They didn't ask us to close. A few customers noticed, but things stayed calm. I think they were in disbelief."
Mall security had set up the visit, which saw Victoria and second son Romeo, 12, enter through the front while Brooklyn came in through a back entrance with his retired soccer star father David and the former Spice Girls star offered her son advice as he chose his jewellery.
The manager added: "They picked the most expensive earring -- but Victoria told him to go a size down so it wasn't too blingy.
"Brooklyn was cool but I was so nervous, I was like, 'I can't mess this up'."
Victoria - who also has son Cruz, nine, and daughter Harper, three, with David - paid £45 for the earring and piercing, and also snapped up some £20 hair extensions before the family left by the back door after 30 minutes in the store.
Joe told The Sun newspaper: "I couldn't believe what I had experienced.
"They were a lovely family."

Dan Aykroyd is selective about roles

Dan Aykroyd is very selective with the roles he accepts now.
The 62-year-old star has become more picky when deciding what movies he acts in because he wants to spend more time with his wife, Donna Dixon, and three daughters Danielle, Stella and Belle.
He said: "I am much more picky about the movies I do. In the 80s and 90s I was away from my family a lot, so I am trying to make up for that by spending time with them now."
Aykroyd is famed for writing and appearing in 'Ghostbusters' and 'Ghostbusters II', and was believed to be working on the reboot of the franchise featuring female protagonists, but said he doesn't write any more because of his wish to withdraw from life as a celebrity.
He added: "As I've grown older I've become less focused on showbusiness. I am no longer writing and pitching scripts."
However, 'The Blues Brothers' writer said he is a huge fan of Melissa McCarthy - who has been attached to the 'Ghostbusters' sequel on numerous occasions due to her close working relationship with the film's director, Paul Feig - which suggests the actress may indeed star in the movie.
He explained: "Comedians today are more thoughtful than we were, and more grounded in real life.
"But I love the younger guys - Jonah Hill, Will Ferrell, Melissa McCarthy. The torch has been passed."

Gorgon City ready to start recording album

Gorgon City will start work on their second album next month.
The electronic music duo have revealed they will begin writing the follow up to their debut record 'Sirens' - which was released last month - in December, and are looking forward to getting back into the studio.
Matt Robson-Scott from the group exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "We're kind of going to be really getting into writing album two, probably next month, so it's all very exciting to get back in the studio and start working with new people."
The two musicians - who released their first EP together in 2012 - have had a year of relentless touring, but admit they have used their time well and have lots of ideas for their sophomore record.
He added: "I think me and Kyle [Gibbon] are always making new music when we're on the road so we've got ideas that we've been working on already for the second album.
"Also we love writing club music and house music that we get to play when we DJ so we're always coming up with new ideas. It's fun to be able to get back in the studio again because we've been touring really hard."
The band will release their next single, 'Go All Night' featuring Jennifer Hudson in December, and said they are on the hunt for other vocalists to appear in their new music.
He said: "We're always looking for new vocalists, and undiscovered people which is why there are a lot of people like that on the album, people who you might not know yet, so we're always looking for new people."
Speaking of their hit track 'Ready For Your Love' which featured rising star MNEK, Matt said he expects the singer will feature in more of their tracks in the future.
He added: "I'm sure we'll be working with MNEK again and whoever really, we're up for meeting new people and seeing what happens."
Gorgon City will perform alongside Jessie Ware at MTV Crashes Cork - a special one-off gig this Thursday November 27. The show will then air on MTV Music on December 12 - see mtv.co.uk/cork for more details

Gwen Stefani wants to ‘disappear’ from her children

Gwen Stefani is tempted to escape her everyday stresses by going to a motel.
The 45-year-old beauty - a mother of three children - says that although she loves her kids, she dreams about disappearing from them at times.
The 'Hollaback Girl' hitmaker was appearing on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', during which the host told Gwen: "You look fantastic. Especially considering that you have three boys that have to be ... Kingston, Zuma and Apollo now. I just saw them backstage, they could not be cuter."
Gwen, a coach on the current series of 'The Voice, responded: "They all wanted to come. They don't really go to 'The Voice' that often, but they wanted to come to this. They love you. They're smart."
Gwen also took umbrage with the suggestion that her kids are unusually well behaved, joking: "It gets crazy. Everybody knows that whole 4-8 at night is like chaos. It's like the crazy time in our house.
"The other day we were driving home and I was thinking ok Motel 6. If I can just find one and go there and disappear. Disappear from my life.
"But, no. They're incredible."

P. Diddy ‘regrets not pursuing relationship with Cameron Diaz’

P. Diddy regrets not pursuing a romantic relationship with Cameron Diaz.
The music mogul and the actress were said to have dated between 2008 and 2012, and it's been claimed Diddy, 45, wishes he took their union further.
A source for Us Weekly claims to have overheard Diddy describing Cameron, 42, as the "sexiest girl in the world".
The insider explained: "He was at dinner and the subject turned to Cameron dating [her current boyfriend] Benji Madden. 'If I could turn back time, things would be different!'"
The pair are said to have first met at the Oscars in 2008, and they were pictured together on a number of occasions in the following years - although their respective representatives always denied they were dating.
One noticeable difference between the pair is their attitudes towards family.
Diddy has five children from different relationships, while Cameron says not having kids has made her life easier.
Earlier this year, she told Esquire: "To have lives besides your own that you are responsible for, I didn't take that on. That did make things easier for me.
"A baby, that's all day, every day for 18 years. Not having a baby might really make things easier, but that doesn't make it an easy decision.
"I like protecting people, but I was never drawn to being a mother. I have it much easier than any of them. That's just what it is. Doesn't mean life isn't sometimes hard."

Kendra Wilkinson says Hugh Hefner offered her an escape

Kendra Wilkinson entered the Playboy Mansion because it offered her an escape route.
The blonde beauty is currently appearing in 'I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!' and has been reflecting on her relationship with Hugh Hefner, the 88 year-old Playboy magazine publisher.
Kendra, 29, shared: "He asked me to be one of his girlfriends and I was like I don't know what that means but hell yeah I'm there.
"I was living in the smallest apartment with the ugliest **** and I was praying for anything to get me out of there.
"He asked me to be part of the Playboy Mansion and I accepted, of course. I went by straight away but I didn't know that sex was involved.
"He'd ask if you wanted to go upstairs, and that was that. I was 18 and he was 78."
Asked if she was obligated to have sex with the ladies' man, Kendra added: "I was just curious about the girlfriends because he's always got more than one and wondered if you have to do him?
"You're not obligated, it's your choice.
"He really looks at the women in his house as relationships. Honestly? They all sleep with him - but they're also the greatest people."

Halle Berry accuses ex of racism

Gabriel Aubry made "completely and totally unacceptable" racial slurs against Halle Berry, a court has been told.
The 48-year-old actress, who dated the French-Canadian model between 2005 and 2010, has taken her former lover to court, claiming he straightened the naturally curly hair of their daughter Nahla - who was born in 2008 - and lightened it over the past 12 months.
A source close to Halle also told MailOnline that Gabriel had used racially abusive language towards their daughter, adding: "Halle is a great mom, she wants to keep Nahla on an even keel.
"Halle kept asking and asking Gabriel about Nahla's hair and he kept denying it.
"What does this say to a six year old who's half black? Her father is denying her identity.
"Halle then filed the court papers and Nahla's curls came back."
In her testimony to the court, Halle said: "I strongly feel that Gabriel's same underlying attitude is at the root in the changes, which only he could have been causing to our daughter's hair."
Since splitting from Gabriel, Halle has married French film actor Olivier Martinez, with whom she has a son, Maceo.
