Adele has turned to Damon Albarn for help with her new album.
The 'Skyfall' hitmaker met with the Blur frontman at his west London recording studio earlier this week in the hope he will collaborate with her on her much-anticipated comeback record - which was expected to be released this month - as she isn't happy with the material she has so far.
A source said: "Damon and Adele had a chat about her new album and they could work together in future.
"He has produced and written brilliant pop songs for Gorillaz and slower material for acts such as Bobby Womack. He has advice to give from 25 years in the business.
It seems Damon isn't the only person Adele is planning to work with.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: "Adele's exploring loads of different avenues for the music and isn't rushing anything but the album will be released next year."
The 26-year-old star - who has son Angelo, two, with boyfriend Simon Konecki - tweeted earlier this year that the album, the follow-up to 2011's '21', would be released later in 2014, but it is now expected to hit stores in spring 2015.
She has already worked with a number of songwriters and producers, including Ryan Tedder, Diane Warren, James Ford and Paul Epworth.
'In the Air Tonight' hitmaker Phil Collins recently revealed he had also worked on the album but was later told his contribution had been dropped.

Jack Steadman wishes Bombay Bicycle Club had a different name.
The four-piece band formed under the name The Canals when Jack was just 15, but soon adopted their current name which the frontman now thinks is "silly."
When asked if he wishes they had chosen a different moniker for the group, he said: "Every day. It's a silly name. Everyone does silly things when they're 15, but not many people have to deal with it for the rest of their lives."
The 'Carry Me' singers released their fourth studio album, 'So Long, See You Tomorrow' in February, which was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize - an award which is given to the act deemed to have created the best British album.
The band was one of 12 acts shortlisted for the award alongside FKA twigs and Damon Albarn, but lost out to Scottish trio Young Fathers who scooped the prize for their debut studio album, 'Dead'.
Discussing the prize - which has previously been won by PJ Harvey, James Blake and Alt-J - the 24-year-old singer admitted while he was thrilled to have been nominated, he wasn't bothered about being beaten by the 'Get Up' hitmakers.
When asked if he was disappointed, he told Shortlist magazine: "Not really. At the time I was having an incredible evening. I hadn't really heard of the other bands, embarrassingly. I got to sit there for three hours watching them all perform and I found it really inspiring."
Jack - who is in the indie group with bandmates Jamie MacColl, Suren de Saram and Ed Nash - continued to say he is skeptical about what benefits the prize would have because they are not a new act.
He added: "For a band like us, who are quite established with four albums... I don't really know what the Mercury would have done. I was happy for it to go to an up and coming band. That's where an award like that should go."

Louise Thompson has joked about having children with Alik Alfus.
The 24-year-old reality star has already discussed having babies and getting married with her American beau, as she revealed that they are getting more serious.
The 'Made in Chelsea' star said: "We've been joking about having children, but I'm only 24."
As Alik, 25, added: "I'm not ready to be married, but I do love the girl, so we'll where that goes."
Louise - who has previously dated 'MIC' stars Spencer Matthews, Jamie Laing, Andy Jordan - believes her new beau is very different to boys in London.
She shared with OK! magazine: "Alik is a lot more straightforward, there's no game-playing whatsoever - he's very honest about the way he feels. And also very confident. he has less insecurities than the other boys and is strong-willed. That's definitely very attractive. Our personalities just really click."
Alik then quipped: "Given the amount of time we've spent together in four months, I'm surprised we don't argue more!"

Miranda Hart thought fame would "justify" her existence.
The 41-year-old comedienne admits she always wanted to be famous as she thought people would excuse her bizarre behaviour if they recognised her as a sitcom star.
She said: "When I was a teenager I used to want to be famous - I thought it would justify my whole existence. I imagined that if I was famous, when I tripped up in the street, people would just think, 'Bless her, she's famous, that's fine'."
However, now that she's achieved celebrity status with 'Miranda', she's confessed she's realised she's actually an "introvert" and doesn't like the lifestyle that comes with being famous.
Miranda explained: "I find it vaguely embarrassing. I'm not into fashion or the right look or going to the right places so it's quite hard being scrutinised and judged.
"Ultimately I'm an introvert. If an extrovert wants to wind down, they'll call some mates and go to the pub, whereas an introvert will stay on their own and watch TV. If I go to a party I need two days to recover."
And Miranda now admits that tripping over in the street isn't as big of a problem as it seemed as a child.
She added to Radio Times magazine: "I don't think I've ever really fallen over in the street. Except for the classic little pavement trip and we'll all do that to our dying day. I hope. I find it funny, not embarrassing now."

Shia LaBeouf claims he was raped during his art installation earlier this year.
The 'Fury' actor spent five days sitting in a Los Angeles gallery in silence with a paper bag on his head, with members of the public invited to choose an item from a selection on a table and sit with him for a while, and the 28-year-old-actor says one encounter was extremely unpleasant.
He said: "One woman who came with her boyfriend, who was outside the door when this happened, whipped my legs for ten minutes and then stripped my clothing and proceeded to rape me
"There were hundreds of people in line when she walked out with disheveled hair and smudged lipstick. It was no good, not just for me but her man as well."
And the 'Nymphomaniac' star says the experience was particularly "painful" because his girlfriend Mia Goth, 21, was outside waiting to see him - and he couldn't discuss what had happened with her because of the nature of the #IAMSORRY installation.
He added in an email to a Dazed and Confused magazine writer: "On top of that my girl was in line to see me, because it was Valentine's Day and I was living in the gallery for the duration of the event -- we were separated for five days, no communication.
"So it really hurt her as well, as I guess the news of it traveled through the line.
"When she came in she asked for an explanation, and I couldn't speak, so we both sat with this unexplained trauma silently. It was painful."

Jessie J is "not in love" with Luke James.
The 'Bang Bang' hitmaker recently went public with her new romance, and though she is smitten with the US singer, she is still "learning" to figure out her feelings and fall harder for him.
She said: "Am I in love right now? I'm working on being in love.
"That's the truth. I don't want to sound mean. But I'm not in love...yet. I'm learning how to fall in love.
"Being in love is when you can be yourself as if you were on your own, but they're there."
Despite her cautiousness, the 26-year-old singer admitted she can see herself settling down with her "amazing" boyfriend.
Asked whether Luke, 30, could be her happily ever after, she told the forthcoming issue of Britain's Glamour magazine: "Maybe. Why not? I'm nearly 27.

James Franco and Zachary Quinto filmed a threesome for their new film 'Michael'.
The actors took part in the sexy scene alongside the former 'Desperate Housewives' star Charlie Carver for the upcoming drama, according to E! News.
James plays the titular character in the Justin Kelly directed movie. The 36-year-old stars as Michael Glatze, a gay activist who becomes a Christian pastor following a health scare.
His ex-boyfriend Bennett is played by the 37-year-old Zachary, while Charlie, 26, plays their lover Tyler.
A source told E! News that the three share a "romance" but when Michael breaks up with the pair, they are left "heartbroken".
James - who is also currently working on the film 'Streetcar' based on the play by Tennessee Williams - has posted several photos of himself and his fellow 'Michael' actors on set.
In August (21.08.14) he shared a photograph of the trio posing during a break from filming.
He captioned the picture: "BOOM! Welcome to our Boys Spaceship! Blast off!!!! (sic)"
'American Horror Story' actress Emma Roberts is also set to star in the film, which is due out in cinemas next year.

Anna Kendrick is looking at the positives following the recent hacking of her nude photos.
The 'Pitch Perfect' star - whose naked pictures were posted online by hackers earlier this year alongside other stars like Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton - is glad the episode encouraged people not to blame those who were victims.
She said: "I'm happy that it seems like more people are coming around. Because it happened en masse in that way, it forced people to come around and go, 'Everybody does this and victim-blaming is not helping.'
"Because before that, there was a lot of, "If you didn't want naked photos of yourself on the Internet, well, you shouldn't have taken them."
The 29-year-old actress has admitted that even her friends had changed their views, after realising how many celebrities had their personal photographs hacked.
She explained to The Daily Beast: "So, the one and only good thing that came out of it is that it really shifted the conversation.
"Friends of mine that had taken the other attitude were like, 'People should be able to do whatever they want, and it's f***ed up that that happened to them.' That's the lone positive that came out of that whole thing."

Benedict Cumberbatch hates selfies.
The 'Imitation Game' actor - who recently announced his engagement to Sophie Hunter - won't be personally taking any photos of him and his bride on their wedding day and instead would rather just "enjoy the moment".
He explained: "What a tragic waste of engagement. Enjoy the moment.
"Do something more worthwhile with your time, anything. Stare out the window and think about life."
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old actor also revealed that he hates having his every move scrutinised and has banned social media for that reason.

Reese Witherspoon's daughter is uncomfortable with her mother's nude scenes.
The 38-year-old actress has to appear naked in her new movie, 'Wild', which her 15-year-old daughter, Ava, finds "weird".
Reese explained: "Ava's 15 and there are parts in the film that I had to explain to her. I told her, 'I'm naked in the movie...' and she was like, 'Mom, that's so weird!'
"I said, 'I had to be brave Ava, and I couldn't just tell the parts I was comfortable with, because Cheryl was brave to tell her whole story, so I had to tell even the parts that I was scared to do'."
Reese - who also has 11-year-old, Deacon with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe and two-year-old Tennessee with her husband Jim Toth - sympathises with her daughter, admitting that it would be just as weird for her if her mother did the same thing.

Mindy Kaling was mistaken for a Nobel prize winner.
The 'Mindy Project' star has revealed how someone at a party mistook her for the Nobel Peace prize winner, 17-year-old Malala Yousafzai.
She explained: "I was recently in New York City, at kind of a clubby, New York City party at the Boom Boom Room ...
"I was looking around, I was like, 'Oh this is going to be fun. Alcohol was flowing, I looked hot... as I always do at these events.
"This kind of like, elderly man came over to me, and was like, 'Oh my god! I'm such a big fan!' I was like, 'Oh, thank you!' And he's like, 'Malala, you're so amazing.' He thought I was the 17-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala."
The 35-year-old actress admitted that she was initially a bit offended by the mistake, but soon found it incredibly flattering.
She said: "It was so interesting to me from so many different ways. On one, I thought, it's a little racial that he thought I was [her], but then it's like, she won a Nobel Prize! I'll take that. I do pretty well but that's like, way better.
"She's 17, I'm twice her age. So it was pretty good."
