Britain's Duchess of Cambridge's childhood church is being turned into a boarding school.
The 32-year-old royal was christened at St. Andrew's church in Bradfield, West Berkshire, in the 1980s but it has now closed its doors after an "emotional" last service as it has been sold to Bradfield College, the Daily Express newspaper reports.
Secretary for The Friends of Bradfield Village, Liz Sale said: "People are really upset because it's clearly been going on a long time between the diocese, Bradfield College and our vicar, but nothing has been said to the people that live here."
Right Reverend Andrew Proud, the Bishop of Reading, conducted the last service as the 14th Century church's bells rang out for a final time after 160 years of worship.
The decision to sell the Grade II listed building came after heating the church - which is seen by many as "too big" for the number of worshippers that use it - became too expensive to maintain, with maintenance costs reaching an estimated £1.5 million.
However, money from the sale is expected to go towards the renovation of St. Peters church in the nearby Bradfield Southend, which has seen its congregation grow.
Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will reportedly welcome the Queen into their private residence over the festive season.
Prince William and his wife, Duchess Catherine - with whom he has 16-month-old son Prince George - were given the country retreat of Anmer Hall in Norfolk by Her Majesty last year and are now said to have invited her to see the results of recent renovations.
A source told MailOnline: "They have worked very hard to make Anmer Hall feel like a family home."
The couple are believed to have made a number of changes to the 18th Century property to ensure greater privacy for themselves and any guests who visit.
William and Catherine, both 32, are reported to have added a conservatory, refurbished the kitchen, re-routed the driveway, expanded the accommodation in the ten-bedroom mansion and planted more trees to shield the Georgian home from prying eyes.
Duchess Catherine is also believed to have invited her own family to spend Christmas at the Grade II listed building, which has its own swimming pool and tennis courts, after she and William celebrated George's first Christmas at her parents' house in Bucklebury, Berkshire last year.
However, in keeping with tradition, William, Catherine and George will first spend Christmas Eve with the rest of the royal family at the Queen's Sandringham House, which is just two miles away from Anmer Hall.
Prince Albert II and Princess Stephanie of Monaco attended the 2014 Fight AIDS Monaco Auction Gala last night (01.12.14).
The 56-year-old royal and his 49-year-old sister attended the event at the Salon Atlantique at the Hotel Meridien Beach Plaza in ...
Claudia Winkleman gets her style inspiration from Steven Tyler.
The 42-year-old presenter has confessed her heavy eyeliner and messy-haired look are a result of copying the Aerosmith rocker's style.
She said: "I have a photograph of him from about 20 years ago and he's just wearing a black shirt, a bit of kohl, skinny jeans, hair all in his face. I thought, 'That's me! That's what I want to look like!'"
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' co-host - who is married to film producer Kris Thykier - insists she likes the androgynous look and has no interest in attracting the opposite sex.
She added: "I don't even want to be a female version of Steven Tyler - just Steven Tyler ... I've never wanted to be sexy - even when I was 18. It's not my shizzle. I want to be funny. A genius. A biochemist. But not sexy."
Claudia was forced to take a break from hosting Strictly alongside Tess Daly earlier this year after her eight-year-old daughter Matilda was injured when her Halloween costume caught on fire.
And the brunette beauty - who also has sons Arthur, three, and Jake, 11, with Kris - admitted to Red magazine that having children had been "a slight obsession" of hers "from early on".
Larry Lamb has joined the cast of 'New Tricks'.
The 67-year-old actor will join newcomers Tamzin Outhwaite, Nicholas Lyndhurst and Denis Lawson in the upcoming twelfth series of the comedy drama.
Lamb - who is best known for playing Archie Mitchell in 'EastEnders' and Mick in 'Gavin and Stacey' - will take on the role of retired police officer Ted Case who joins the Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad (UCOS).
Speaking to The Sun newspaper about the news, he said: "I'm thrilled to have been asked to join such a well-loved show.
"The writing and the cast are top notch and I'm really looking forward to getting started."
The silver-haired star's addition comes after the show's original cast - Amanda Redman, James Bolum, Alun Armstrong and Dennis Waterman - all quit over the past few years.
Redman branded 'New Tricks' "bland" after her exit in 2013 while Waterman - who wrote and performed the show's theme song - announced earlier this year he too was stepping down after eleven years because he missed the old cast.
Filming for the twelfth series is currently underway with Outhwaite, Lyndhurst and Lawson reprising their roles as DCI Sasha Miller, Dan Griffin and Steve MacAndrew respectively.
The series will reportedly get off to an "explosive" start with a two-part story that will see off Waterman's character Gerry Standing for good.
Kate Humble and are Jason Byrne are to co-host a new game show.
The 45-year-old wildlife presenter and the Irish comedian will be the hosts of nature-themed entertainment programme, 'Wild Things' on Sky1.
The channel's director, Adam MacDonald, said of the show: "'Wild Things' is like nothing we've seen before - a surreal and side splittingly funny concoction of giant woodland creatures, bickering couples and pots of gold. It's a big, daft slice of genius."
The game show - which is set to air on the channel next year - is described as a cross between classics 'It's a Knockout', 'Knightmare' and 'The Really Wild Show'.
It will see couples or pairs of relatives taking part in challenges on a woodland obstacle course in return for a fortune worth of gold coins buried in the "Wild Wood".
However, there is a twist in that one member of each team will become a "Wild Thing" by dressing up in a woodland protection suit designed to look like an animal, which they won't be able to see out of.
Therefore, they will be forced to rely on the directions of their partners to guide them to victory.
Victoria Beckham has branded herself a "pain in the bottom".
The 40-year-old admitted to being a little bit annoying as she gave a self-deprecating acceptance speech during the British Fashion Awards last night (01.12.14).
The former Spice Girl won the coveted Best Brand trophy for her eponymous label at the stylish bash in London but took the time to thank her parents Jacqueline and Anthony Adams.
Speaking at the London Coliseum, Victoria quipped: "My parents, you love me unconditionally - and I know I am a pain in the bottom."
The singer-turned-designer also showed her appreciation for her husband David Beckham as she thanked him and their four children - Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 12, Cruz, nine, and three-year-old Harper - for their "support".
She said: "We've come a long way since that Spice Girls dressing room. David, you inspire me every day. You support me. You make this possible. I adore you and my children."
The gushing star also praised her hard-working staff.
Victoria added: "I am so so proud to be British and incredibly proud to have built my brand in the UK. I want to thank my team. I love you all so much and this is for all of you."
She later posted a photo of herself on Twitter, enjoying a party in the toilets with several friends, complete with the caption: "Loved our after party!!! x (sic)"
Olly Murs pays himself a plumber's wage.
The 'Wrapped Up' singer is worth an estimated £5 million but pays himself the same salary as his pals after being scared by bankrupt pop stars on the reality television show 'The Big Reunion'.
He explained: "I've given myself a salary recently, because I think it's important. For the first two years I was like, 'Yeah I'll buy that and this. Mum, what do you want? I'll get it for you.'
"But then you watch shows like 'The Big Reunion' and it opens your eyes to realise that this can all go so quickly, and you've got to be wise with your money."
The 30-year-old star elaborated by saying he's thrilled with his life at the moment, so is terrified of losing his treasured possessions and friends.
He said: "My worst fear is losing everything. I've bought my own house, I've got a lovely car, I've got brilliant friends and family. If I lost all that it would be devastating and down to my stupidity."
Olly wants to ensure he stays down to earth and remains close to his friends who he met before finding fame, so hopes his salary will stop him from flashing his cash.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I've got mates in different jobs to me, and they're not on the same amount of money as me. So I don't want to be like a big time Charlie. I've never been that kind of person, I always like us all to be on an equal playing field."
Bette Midler's only birthday wish is for Ariana Grande to forgive her.
The singer-and-actress turned 69 yesterday (01.12.14) and took to Twitter to apologise to the 21-year-old star once again after she branded the brunette beauty's music videos "silly beyond belief" and said she had a "silly high voice" - but now Bette has pleaded with Ariana to let her direct her next video.
She tweeted: "Yes, it's my birthday! And my birthday wish is that @ArianaGrande forgives me soon and let's me direct her next video... (sic)"
Ariana is yet to respond to Bette's request which could be because she is busy preparing for her performance at the Victoria's Secret Angels show at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre in London tonight (02.12.14).
While the singer was reported to have been shocked and upset by Bette's remarks recently, she took to Twitter to respond in person and insisted she will "always" be a fan of the star.
She wrote: "Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgement!
"Not sure where that Bette went but I want that sexy mermaid back!!! always a fan no matter what my love. (sic)"
During Bette's rant about Ariana, she also hit out at other young female acts who make a "wh**e" out of themselves nowadays by dressing in scantily-clad attire for their music videos.
She said: "It's terrible! It's always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, slithering around on a couch, looking so ridiculous. I mean, it's silly beyond belief and I don't know who's telling her to do it. I wish they'd stop. But it's not my business, I'm not her mother. Or her manager.
"Maybe they tell them that's what you've got to do. Sex sells. Sex has always sold.
"Trust your talent. You don't have to make a wh**e out of yourself to get ahead. You really don't.
"I mean, don't ask me. It's beyond me. I'm too old.
"I don't know what the end game is going to be. I don't know where you go from all that sex in your twenties. I don't know how you sustain it."
Paris Hilton has been hit with death threats from a man who believes she is Jewish.
The hotel heiress - who was raised a Roman Catholic - and her father Rick Hilton have both been targeted by a guy on Instagram and Facebook who has posted several abusive and anti-Semitic messages to the pair.
According to TMZ, one of the posts he allegedly wrote read: "I know ur Jew family gives nothing," and another stated: "KILL JEWS FOR FUN (sic)"
A post to Rick said: "one month and she's dead, she's never coming home. (sic)"
Another message to Rick read: "I'll beat u and that bitch to unconscious.(sic)"
The guy is also alleged to have threatened to sexually assault the 33-year-old star.
The Los Angeles Police Department has obtained a warrant to try to track down the man on the social media sites and believe they know who he is.
It's not the first time Paris has been hit with death threats as in May 2007 she was sentenced to a 45-day jail term and before the stretch was due to start in June that year she was said to be inundated with threats from inmates.
An insider said at the time: "These maniacs have been writing, 'We're going to get you,' and, 'I'm going to kill you.' It's horrifying.
"One person wrote that she's going to steal Paris' shoes when she gets to jail--and if Paris argues, she'll be beaten to a pulp."
Paris said: "I'm very scared right now."
Biffy Clyro will have a "year off" in 2015.
The rock trio faced a packed schedule in 2014 with headline sets at T In The Park and Isle of Wight Festival, so are planning on taking some time out next year so people don't get sick of hearing them.
Bass player James Johnston said: "I think we'll have a quiet one ... We don't like to be in people's faces too much. The last thing we want is for people to get bored of us, so you could almost call it a year off."
Although the 'Biblical' hitmakers plan on withdrawing from the limelight for a while, James revealed they have commenced work on their seventh studio album - the follow-up to 2013 double album 'Opposites' - but don't want to release anything that is less than "perfect."
Speaking about the record, he said: "It's coming along; we're not in any massive rush at all - we don't want anything that's not perfect. We're working hard, we've got too many songs, which is great!
"We'll see where we're at, and then we'll go and record early summer next year. There's a large batch of songs."
The talented musician - who is in the award-winning band with his twin brother Ben Johnston, and pal Simon Neil - is now hoping to head to an "exotic" location for the album's recording, as the band prefer to get away from their native Scotland to make their music.
Talking to NME, he added: "It's going to be somewhere exotic, I think!
"We always like to get away from Scotland to record - we try and go somewhere different from here, with sunshine and a bit a of warmth. We'll see what happens."
