Katie Holmes’s single parent struggle

Katie Holmes has admitted she struggles as a single parent.
The 'Days and Nights' star - who has 8-year-old Suri with ex-husband Tom Cruise - has revealed she doubts her parenting skills on occasions.
She told PEOPLE magazine: "You do the best you can. Some days you feel really good about yourself and some days you don't."
Katie - who divorced from the 'Mission Impossible' star in 2012 - believes support from other parents makes things a lot easier for her.
She explained: "You really need to support each other, help people through whatever it is they're going through -- whether it's: 'My kid just threw a tantrum' or 'I was late for graduation' or whatever it is, you know!"
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old - who has help with Suri from a "ready and willing" mother and nanny - has admitted she'd rather spend as much time as possible with her daughter.
She said: "I do have help yes, but it's your baby, you know? You want to be the one who was there."
Despite finding being a single parent challenging, Katie believes it is important for parents in similar situations to her to do their best and not feel pressured by the expectations.
She said: "I think we all need to just ease up.
"Ease up on the expectations, and the worrying. We're all trying to do the best we can."

Justin Bieber ‘depressed’ over Selena Gomez split

Justin Bieber is reportedly "depressed" over his recent split from Selena Gomez.
The 20-year-old singer is believed to be heartbroken after the 'Come And Get It' hitmaker rejected any of his advances to reignite their relationship.
A source told HollywoodLife.com: "Justin has been really depressed. Nothing he's doing so far to get Selena back is working and it's put him in a really dark place.
"He went to New York for a change of scene to try and find new perspective; he's hoping Selena will come and meet up with him."
The couple - who have been dating on-and-off since 2010 - most recently ended their relationship after Justin was spotted having lunch in Paris with model and 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star, Kendall Jenner.
The pair reportedly split because Selena was annoyed with her popstar boyfriend for flirting with other girls in front of her face.
Meanwhile, Selena recently revealed that she had turned to celebrity pal Taylor Swift for support and advice, following her split from the 'Baby' hitmaker.
A source explained: "Taylor wants [Selena] to at least try taking a year off dating. She thinks she should date herself for a while, take the time to get to know herself and appreciate herself.
"But she's not going to force it, she's trying to lead by example this time, instead of forcing her ideas down Selena's throat, she realises she can be kind of pushy and she's working on that."

Kris Jenner won’t have more surgery

Kris Jenner is too "scared" to undergo more cosmetic surgery.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' matriarch insists she hasn't undergone as many procedures as has been speculated and is doubtful she'll ever have any more as she is nervous of anesthesia.
She said: "I've had so much written about me, but no, no no. And I probably wouldn't do it again because it kind of scares me, being put under for that long."
The 58-year-old star did admit to undergoing a facelift and two "boob jobs", the first of which she had after having eldest children Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob Kardashian, because "gravity" had taken its toll on her figure.
She recalled: "I've had a couple of surgeries, my first was after I had four kids. Gravity takes over, I had four beautiful kids but from the waist up it wasn't great, so I had a boob job.
I was so excited, I felt so good about myself, it made me feel like a million bucks."
And Kris - who also has daughters Kylie and Kendall with estranged husband Bruce Jenner - then went under the knife again to have her implants reduced because she didn't want to "look matronly" as she grew older.
She explained on 'Dr. Oz': "I was barely 30 years old when I had the surgery then 25 years later, I was taking to the same doctor and he was like 'I think it's time, let's do something, like a little tune up.' And I said, 'If we're gonna do that, I'm kind of over big boobs, they make you look matronly when you're older, I didn't feel good about myself, I felt heavy and uncomfortable, nothing fit right.' He said, 'OK, great, we'll take them out, clean it up, put smaller situations in' - I'm giving you guys way too much information, this is crazy. So I did that, and then about for, five years ago I decided to do a [facelift], and that's really the extent of it."

John Lydon blasts internet for ‘stupid people’

John Lydon thinks the internet is to blame for making a lot of young people "incredibly stupid".
The former Sex Pistols frontman has hit out at the worldwide web for being a hub of "mindless gossip and nonsense" and thinks it is problematic for youngsters nowadays because they spend all their time surfing the internet rather than engaging in physical conversations.
He said: "I think the internet is the road to idiocy and has made a lot of young people incredibly stupid and more involved with mindless gossip and nonsense.
"It's spineless, faceless, there's no face-to-face confrontation.
"You've lost the power of emotion and dialogue; it's just flimsy catchphrases. It's complacency.
"Facebook and Twitter are my arch enemies."
Despite disliking the internet, the 58-year-old singer is a big fan of TV advertising, particularly the 2008 Country Life butter advert he starred in and he insists fans of his group Public Image Ltd (PiL) should be too because the band would never have reformed without the sandwich spread.
He added to Shortlist magazine: "I couldn't give a tuppence f**k what a*******s have to say.
"I needed to raise some money to get Public Image back together and, having the good sensibility to have eaten a lot of butter in my life, I thought it was appropriate.
"Every penny I earned from that went into reforming Public Image.
"Music lovers should rejoice at that ... and have some buttered toast on me."

Chris Hemsworth wants to raise kids in Australia

Chris Hemsworth wants to raise his children in Australia.
The 'Avengers' actor is keen to return to his home country with wife Elsa Pataky and their kids India, two, and twins Tristan and Sasha, seven months, after recently splashing out a reported $7.2 million home in Byron Bay.
He said: "We're spending more and more time back in Australia and I definitely want the kids to grow up here and spend time here.
"We were in California a lot and I missed it here [in Australia] and my wife missed it too so that was our goal to get back here."
The 31-year-old actor dotes on his children and delights in seeing them grow and learn new thinks, including his 38-year-old wife's native Spanish.
He told the Daily Mail Australia: "The twins are awesome, they're fantastic. They're seven months old now and starting to move around and their personalities are blooming.
"My daughter is speaking Spanish and English and every day it's something different."
While Chris loves being a dad to India and the twins, his wife has previously said she doesn't think they will have any more kids in the future.
She said: "We do not plan to have more children, but you can never say never.
"With twins you have more work, and now I have to do it better."

Taylor Swift can’t imagine life without famous pals

Taylor Swift can't imagine life without her famous friends.
The 24-year-old singer is good pals with singer/songwriter Lorde, model Karlie Kloss and actress Lena Dunham, and she feels extremely grateful for having such a close friendship group who she is constantly learning from.
She said: "I've learned something from every single one of my girlfriends.
"It's crazy to think that I didn't used to have some of them in my life."
The 'Out of the Woods' hitmaker has achieved worldwide success following the release of her debut self-titled album in 2006, but the blonde stunner is trying her best to ensure she doesn't turn "weird" and "unapproachable" because of her stardom.
She added to Metro newspaper: "My life is really abnormal now. But I refuse to let this whole thing make me weird, unapproachable and impossible to have a conversation with."
Taylor spent the evening with Karlie at the New York Knicks' basketball game last night (29.10.14) and she took to her Instagram account to post a picture of the pair at the match - which her home team lost 104-80 to the Chicago Bulls - and revealed the pair had a fantastic time at the spectacle.
She wrote: "Karlie and I had the time of our lives at the Knicks game tonight. See you tomorrow bright and early on Good Morning America!"
Earlier today (30.10.14), Taylor took to the stage in Times Square, NYC, to perform three of her new songs, 'Shake it Off', 'Out of the Woods' and the very apt 'Welcome to New York' - from her new album '1989', which is expected to sell 1.2 million copies in its first week alone - on morning show 'Good Morning America'.
In between her set, the star - who completed her 86-date 'Red' tour in June - revealed she is going to be heading back on the road "very soon".
Speaking to show host Robin Roberts, she said: "I am going to be going out on tour very soon! We're in the early stages of planning the actual show.
"I'm excited about announcing things when I can announce them, but it's going to be happening!"
Taylor - who moved to New York earlier this year - looked sublime as she performed in Times Square in a military-inspired dark blue pair of high-waisted shorts with gold detail as well as a blue top featuring gold thread detailing, and she teamed her look with a pair of striking gold heels.

Prince Harry lends his support to the Poppy Appeal

Prince Harry lent his support to the Poppy Appeal in London earlier today (30.10.14) by helping to raise money.
The 30-year-old royal was joined by Barbara Windsor and other entertainment stars to raise support and awareness of the Poppy Appeal, which raises money for servicemen and women past and present.
The Prince was joined on his tour of the capital by 'EastEnders' actress Lacey Turner and singer Joss Stone, in addition to former and serving personnel from all three branches of the military.
Harry made his way across the capital using a London bus, which took him from Covent Garden to Leadenhall Market as he promoted The Royal British Legion's London Poppy Day, which raised £1 million in 2013.
And thanks to the presence of 2,500 uniformed personnel, veterans and supporters, the campaign enjoyed its most successful single-day collection of its kind in the country.
The bus was driven by Sir Peter Hendy, the commissioner of Transport for London.
The vehicle ultimately made its way to Downing Street, where everyone on-board was greeted by Prime Minister David Cameron, who took the time to talk to them and pose for photographs.

FKA twigs ‘constantly’ recording

FKA twigs is "constantly" making new music.
The 26-year-old singer - whose real name is Tahliah Barnett - already has a host of new material for the follow-up to 'LP1', which was released in August this year, but doesn't know what will make the grade for her next record until she settles down to work on her new album.
Asked about her next album, she told BANG Showbiz: "I'm constantly making music.
" I don't really think about what format its going to take until I've got a bunch of things on the table and I think about it then."
Earlier this month, 'Skyfall' hitmaker Adele made a rare public appearance to see FKA twigs perform in London and though the 'Pendulum' singer admits they have never spoken before, she is now looking forward to meeting the award-winning star because they have things in common now.
twigs, who missed out on picking up the Barclaycard Mercury Prize last night after her shortlisted album lost out to Young Fathers' record 'Dead', said: "I haven't met Adele, I once saw her at the XL Christmas party but I didn't say hi, but next time I see her we'll have a talking point."
The singer recently admitted she has been bombarded with racist abuse over her relationship with Robert Pattinson.
She tweeted: "I am genuinely shocked and disgusted at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week.
"Racism is unacceptable in the real world and it's unacceptable online."

Miquita Oliver: I’ll weep if Bieber cleans up at 4Music awards

Miquita Oliver has admitted she will have a little cry if Justin Bieber cleans up at the 4Music Video Honours 2014.
The TV presenter, who is hosting the event on November 22, is a huge fan of the 'Never Say Never' hitmaker and admits she would be delighted if he won Best Boy at the ceremony, so much so she is hoping her family have picked up on the fact she wants the 20-year-old pop star to win when they vote.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I think everyone knows about my crush on Justin Bieber, I've been pretty clear about that.
"I might weep quietly on my own, just not on camera. I'd save that for my private time.
"I don't get a vote, I'm not allowed, but I get all my cousins and my nieces and nephews to vote. I don't tell them what to vote but I make sure they vote.
"Hopefully they will get the idea that I want people like Justin Bieber and One Direction to win."
As well as having a penchant for Justin, the 30-year-old star admits she wouldn't begrudge One Direction winning Best Video for their hit 'Midnight Memories' or triumphing in the Best Boy category because she loves what they have done for "pop music all over the world".
She added: "I really love One Direction, I think they're the most hard-working, brilliant boys. There's always a time when there's a certain band who just win everything.
"But I think what One Direction have done for pop music all over the world is nothing short of extraordinary. It's just great when they come home and you can feel really proud of them.
"They've made pop music in this country feel the most relevant thing in the world. I think they should win everything. Ever."
