Tina Fey and Amy Poehler mock North Korea

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler poked fun at the scandal surrounding 'The Interview' at the Golden Globe Awards last night (11.01.15).
The pair hosted the prestigious ceremony for the third time and repeatedly used the high-profile show to mock the alleged disapproval of the film from North Korea - who have been accused of being behind the high-profile hacking of Sony Pictures emails - and the surrounding controversy.
In the opening monologue, Tina told the audience at the Beverly Hilton hotel: "We celebrate all the great television shows we know and love and all the movies North Korea was OK with."
And of the movie itself, Tina said: "North Korea referred to 'The Interview' as 'absolutely intolerable and a wanton act of terror.' Even more amazing, not the worst review the movie got."
The two hosts also enlisted Margaret Cho - an American actress of Korean heritage - for an on-going gag which saw her play Cho Yung Ja, a contributor to fictional Movies Wow magazine and a North Korean army general who was not happy with the progression of the show.
At one point, Margaret, 46, said: "This is not a show, you no have thousand baby playing guitar at the same time.
"You no have people holding up many cartoon to make one big picture. You no have Dennis Rodman. No basketball at all."
The fictional general was stony-faced throughout much of an 'interview' with the presenters but cheered up at the chance to take a picture with Meryl Streep.
Tina said: "Meryl hold the magazine, it's like an HFPA thing, you've got to hold the magazine. OK thanks, we've got a lot of weird e-mails that can't be get out, you've got to do this first."
Amy, 43, added: "Do this for all of us Meryl" before her co-host said: "You love Korea, everyone knows it."
After Michael Keaton took the picture, Tina exclaimed: "Thank you, crisis averted. God Bless."
Elsewhere, the star-studded guests at the awards weren't safe from the pair's quick wit.
Speaking about 'Big Eyes', Amy mocked Emma's resemblance to Margaret Keane's paintings which are featured in the film.
She said: "Christoph Waltz and Amy Adams are here. They were so great in 'Big Eyes'. In fact, one of those famous big-eye paintings is on display tonight."
The camera then cut to the 'Amazing Spider-Man' actress sitting in the audience and Amy added: "So lifelike! It's like it's cute, but it's creepy!"
And Tina poked fun at "paranoid" Steve Carell and his turn in 'Foxcatcher'.
She said: "In 'Foxcatcher' Steve Carell plays a paranoid, murderous billionaire. It's a stretch for Carell, who in real-life is a paranoid, murderous millionaire".
However, the 44-year-old star wasn't afraid to laugh at herself either.
Of Steve's two-hour make-up transformation for the film, she said: "Just for comparison, it took me three hours today to prepare for my role as human woman."
Other stars mocked by the two presenters included Reese Witherspoon, 'Cake' actress Jennifer Aniston and George Clooney.
The 'Monuments Men' actor was honoured with the Cecil B. Demille lifetime achievement award but Tina felt it should have gone to his wife Amal instead.
She quipped: "George Clooney married Amal Alamuddin this year. Amal is a human rights lawyer who worked on the Enron case, was an advisor to Kofi Annan regarding Syria and was selected for a three-person UN commission investigating rules of war violations in the Gaza strip... So tonight, her husband is getting a lifetime achievement award."

Adele buys Malibu mansion

Adele is buying a seafront mansion in Malibu.
The 'Hometown Glory' hitmaker - who already owns a flat in Los Angeles and house in Brighton, south east England - has reportedly snapped up a new California home where she can work on her music and relax with her husband Simon Konecki and their two-year-old son, Angelo.
A source said: "Adele is preparing her comeback. She wants to spend time in studios in LA and have quiet time by the ocean to write away from the stresses of London.
"She loves living in Brighton right by the sea and so has found a house on the seafront in Malibu.
"Adele already owns an apartment in Los Angeles, but she ideally wants a private escape where she can relax and write music."
However, the London-born star won't be leaving the UK for good and is keeping her home in Brighton as a base for her family.
The source told the Daily Star newspaper: "The UK will always be Adele's home, and her base is in Brighton.
"But it's nice for her, Simon and their son to have somewhere to escape to in the sunshine and away from the stress."

Celine Dion delays Las Vegas return

Celine Dion will not return to her Las Vegas residency this year.
The 'Think Twice' hitmaker postponed her shows at Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino last August to care for her husband René Angélil, who had a cancerous tumour removed from his throat in December 2013, and though she was originally expected to return to performing in March, TMZ reports she has now told the venue she won't be back until the end of 2015 at the earliest.
René is said to be getting better and recovering slowly from the disease.
When she first cancelled her working commitments, Celine, 46, spoke of her desire to dedicate her time to her spouse and their sons, 13-year-old René-Charles and four-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson
She said: "I want to devote every ounce of my strength and energy to my husband's healing, and to do so, it's important for me to dedicate this time to him and to our children. I also want to apologise to all my fans everywhere, for inconveniencing them, and I thank them so much for their love and support ... at this very difficult and stressful time.
Following his surgery, René, 72, relinquished his position as his wife's manager this year, handing over control of Celine's career to his long-time friend and frequent collaborator Aldo Giampaolo - who has worked with the couple for 25 years.
Aldo is the CEO of Feeling Productions, Celine's management company, while René has remained in his position as chairman of the board.

Jennifer Aniston grabs Kate Hudson’s butt at Golden Globes

Jennifer Aniston cheekily grabbed Kate Hudson's butt on the Golden Globes red carpet last night (11.01.15).
The 'Cake' star couldn't resist placing a palm on the blonde actress' derriere ahead of the ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Los Angeles, as she waited to be interviewed by E! host Ryan Seacrest, and admitted she found the 35-year-old stunner's behind "irresistible".
While touching Kate's bum, she said: "Look at this."
Ryan then noticed what was going on so turned to the pair and Jennifer said: "I didn't say you had to do anything ... it's what I did. Irresistible, I get it."
Kate - who split from former fiancé Matt Bellamy last month after four years together - appeared to take the touch in good humour and returned the favour by giving Jennifer a little pat on the behind before walking down the carpet.
Prior to the ceremony, the 'A Little Bit of Heaven' actress took to her Instagram account to document her preparation for the star-studded event.
The first picture she shared was off her pet pooch Walter waiting for his food and she attached the caption: "Since one of the most asked questions I get on events like the Golden Globes is, "what does your day look like when you get ready for such an event?" I thought perhaps today I would share a play by play... First up... Walter refuses to let anyone eat before he does 7am! #puppylove #shihtzu #GoldenGlobes2015 (sic)"
The star later posted a picture of Matt looking after their three-year-old son Bingham, who was dressed in a Spider-Man outfit, allowing her to meditate and workout ahead of the awards.
She captioned the image: "#DaddyTakesOver #SpiderMan #MuseMan#MyWorkout/MeditationOpportunity#GoldenGlobes2015 (sic)"
Kate then revealed she had a 10-minute meditation session before jumping in the shower, where she used a number of beauty products.
But her preparation for the event was disrupted as she got distracted by an American football game between her team, Denver Broncos, and Indianapolis Colts.
She posted a video of herself celebrating wildly as the Broncos scored a touchdown and added the caption: "I'm supposed to be getting ready 😁...oh well, I've got another priority at the moment! Go Broncos! #Playoffs #GoldenGlobes2015 (sic)"
Kate completed her preparation by getting her nails painted but she was left disappointed after the ceremony when she learned the Broncos had lost against the Colts and took to Instagram to post a picture of herself from behind with her facial expression visible in a mirror.
She wrote: "Ceremony has finished but this was my serious 'the Broncos lost trying to gather myself' moment #NextYear #GoldenGlobes2015 (sic)"

Guy Pearce: Pattinson will be best actor

Guy Pearce expects Robert Pattinson to become the "biggest movie star in the world".
The 47-year-old actor appears alongside the 'Twilight' star in thriller film 'The Rover' and he believes the hunk's great looks and superb acting ability can enable him to become the best in the industry if he puts his mind to it.
He said: "I'd met Robert briefly one Comic Con a couple of years ago and told him he was great - I'd only seen one of his films, 'Water For Elephants'.
"He's as interested in delving into character as much, if not more, than I am.
"I thought, 'This guy's totally my cup of tea.' Then I put two and two together and went, 'Hang on, he looks like that, he's that famous and he's this good .... Seriously, if he doesn't become the biggest movie star in the world there's something wrong.'
"Amazing as an actor and amazing looking - what a combination."
Guy previously credited his own acting ability to his suffering from social anxiety, but the star admitted he isn't affected by it "as much" nowadays compared to what he used to be like which he puts down partly to his age.
He added to Metro newspaper: "I'm much older now but if I'm at a social situation and then leave, I feel a massive sense of relief.
"I'm sure this is the same for a lot of people, you don't feel like necessarily being 'on'.
"I've always had people say to me, 'Oh you take things too seriously, you're a misery guys.'
"I always feel like I have to pretend I'm not any of that stuff, which takes energy.
"So when I leave a situation I go, 'Thank god I can be on my own now.' Or with my wife, she understands."

Fleur East signs record deal

Fleur East has signed to Syco Records.
The 26-year-old finished second in the 'X Factor' after Ben Haenow won the competition last month, but Simon Cowell has decided to sign the star up to his record label, and hopes to release her debut album later this year.
The music mogul said: "Fleur proved what a star she was on the show last year and we now look forward to starting work on her record".
Confirming the news on social media, the company - who also have the likes of One Direction, Ella Henderson, Labrinth and Olly Murs on their extensive roster - wrote: "BREAKING NEWS: Fleur East signs to Syco. The X Factor finalist will release her debut album later this year."
The contract was reportedly finalised last week - less than a month after the end of the ITV singing competition - with the head judge keen to personally oversee her career.
An 'X Factor' insider told The Sun newspaper: "It's unprecedented for Simon to personally sign one of the runners-up. But it's a sign he believes Fleur is going to be a massive star."
The 55-year-old talent scout and producer was wowed by the rising star when she sang the Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars hit 'Uptown Funk' on the show, branding it "the greatest performance" he had seen on the programme, with the cover rising to the number one spot in the iTunes chart just 24 hours later.
Losing out in 2008, JLS went on to become a hugely successful pop quartet, and now former member JB Gill says he is sure Fleur has a prosperous career ahead of her.
He said: "Ben's great but Fleur's a really old friend. She was brilliant.
"She'll have a career. We came second and we did all right. Next year will be exciting for her."

Morrissey announces March UK tour

Morrissey will play a UK tour in March.
The 55-year-old musician has announced a string of tour dates for the spring, performing at six arenas in England, Wales and Scotland.
The 'There Is a Light That Never Goes Out' singer will play at Nottingham's Capital FM Arena on March 13, before heading to Bournemouth, Cardiff, Leeds and Glasgow. The short tour will end on March 27 with a performance at Birmingham's Barclaycard Arena.
The enigmatic star - who rose to fame in rock band The Smiths - went on tour in 2014 but played only one UK date at London's O2 Arena, which he later named as his favourite show of the year in an end-of-tour message on his website.
The announcement comes just days after the controversial character - who is known for his extreme views on animal rights - caused outrage by saying he felt "delighted" when he recently saw a matador get gored by a bull in Mexico City.
Writing on his fan site True to You, he said: "I felt delighted this week to see serial killer Karla de los Angeles justifiably gored in a bullring in Mexico City against her largely defenseless opponent.
"Make no mistake: there is no such thing as bullfighting. For the torment and slaughter of each bull there is an avowed plan and a strict script, so therefore there is no possibility of a contest of any kind. (sic)"
Tickets for Morrissey's tour go on sale at 10am on Friday January 16.

Morrissey's 2015 UK tour dates are:

March 13 - Nottingham Capital FM Arena
March 14 - Bournemouth International Centre
March 18 - Cardiff Motorpoint Arena
March 20 - Leeds First Direct Arena
March 21 - Glasgow SSE Hydro
March 27 - Birmingham Barclaycard Arena

Michael Keaton pays tribute to son during Golden Globes speech

Michael Keaton thanked his "talented, considerate, thoughtful" son after collecting the Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy category at the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles last night (11.01.15).
The 63-year-old star, who plays the role of cinema superhero Riggan Thomson in 'Birdman', used his acceptance speech to pay tribute to his son, Sean Douglas.
He remarked: "My best friend is kind, intelligent, funny, talented, considerate, thoughtful.
"Did I say kind? He also - he also happens to be my son Sean.
"I love you with all my heart, buddy."
Sean is a 31-year-old Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, who co-wrote the songs 'Talk Dirty' and 'Wiggle' for Jason Derulo.
Sean - who has also has worked with the likes of Madonna, Timbaland and Michael Bolton - is the son of the late actress Caroline Williams, who was married to Michael for eight years from 1982 until 1990.
Michael stars in 'Birdman' as a fallen actor who hopes his new Broadway production will reinvigorate his career.
The comedy also features performances from Emma Stone, who plays his troubled daughter Sam, Edward Norton, who plays stage star Mike Shiner, and Zach Galifianakis, who stars as producer Brandon Vander Hey.

Maggie Gyllenhaal grateful for ‘revolutionary’ women’s roles

Maggie Gyllenhaal is grateful for "revolutionary" women's roles.
The 37-year-old star - who picked up the gong for Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie for her part in 'The Honourable Woman' at the 2015 Golden Globes last night (11.01.15) - thanked her fellow actresses for taking on new roles and portraying "actual women" when she made her acceptance speech at the Beverly Hilton hotel in California.
She said: "When I look around the room at the women in here and I think about the performances that I've watched this year.
"What I see, actually, are women who are sometimes powerful and sometimes not, sometimes sexy and sometimes not...what I think is new is the wealth of roles for actual women in television and film. That's what I think is revolutionary and evolutionary, and it's what's turning me on."
The brunette beauty - who has two children Ramona, eight, and Megan, two, with her husband, actor Peter Sarsgaard - went on to thank her family, including her brother, 'Nightcrawler' star Jake Gyllenhaal, with whom she attended the awards, and the 'The Honourable Woman' director Hugo Blick.
She said: "I want to thank a couple of wonderfully complicated women in my life.
"My mum... and my daughters who will one day be great women and I want to thank my brother who is an amazing date for telling me to wrap up, I'm sure that's not a surprise to anyone. And I've got to thank Hugo Blick - who wrote, directed and produced every minute of the honourable woman, I share this with you.
"And to my husband - who is a lover of complicated women - obviously. I could never have done this without you, thank you so much."

La Dolce Vita star Anita Ekberg dies

Anita Ekberg has died in Rome after a series of illnesses, aged 83.
The Swedish actress, model and sex symbol is best known for bathing in the Trevi fountain - one of Rome's most popular landmarks - in 'La Dolce Vita', Federico Fellini's film about a restless reporter who drifts through life in the Italian capital city.
Ekberg, who was born in Malmo, Sweden, in 1931, had been in a wheelchair for several years after she was knocked down by one of her pet Great Danes, which led to a broken hip.
Ekberg was named Miss Sweden at the age of 20, after which she traveled to the US to compete in the Miss Universe contest.
Although she failed to win the high-profile event, Ekberg - who spoke very little English at the time - was signed to a contract by Universal Pictures.
She was cast in the role of Henry Fonda's unfaithful wife in King Vidor's 'War and Peace' in 1956.
While in Rome she met director Federico Fellini, who cast her as Sylvia Rank in 'La Dolce Vita'.
She was the sixth of eight children and once said that her father, a strict Protestant, was "the apple of my eye", though she ultimately fell out with all but one of her siblings.
Ekberg was married twice - to Anthony Steel from 1956 until their divorce in 1959 and to Rik Van Nutter from 1963 until they divorced in 1975.

Prince Charles criticised for ‘Isis ceramic range’

Britain's Prince Charles has been criticised for selling an "Isis ceramic range" in his shop, Highgrove.
The unfortunately named selection of products - which features wig stands, vases and jugs - are available to purchase from the shop in Tetbury, south west England, and although they are not linked to the extremist Islamic state, have courted controversy amongst shoppers.
One visitor to the shop - from which all profits go to the Prince of Wales' Charitable Foundation - said: "I couldn't believe it. You would think they would change the name pronto."
The expensive range is in fact named after the River Thames which inspired the collection, and which is known as the Isis in Oxfordshire.
The range - created by local artist Deborah Sears - includes a £525 chimney vase lamp base and a £295 serving bowl, with all of the items featuring hand-painted images of the 66-year-old royal's Gloucestershire home, Highgrove House.
The Highgrove website reads: "Based in Oxford, where the Thames is known as the Isis, Deborah Sears, painter, designer and owner of Isis Ceramics, has been creating and painting beautiful ceramic pieces since 1988. Deborah has collected 17th-century English Delftware for many years.
"The variety of forms and functions, and the individual painting of Isis Ceramics makes each one unique, allowing everyone to create a collection that expresses their own unique sense of wit, taste and design."
The website also says each piece is a one-off product because of the way in which they have been carefully created.
It adds: "[The items are] Handpainted with designs inspired by Highgrove House and Gardens, making each piece individual."

Jeremy Jackson’s ex-wife slams star

Jeremy Jackson's ex-wife believes he needs help.
The 34-year-old actor was removed from the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house on Saturday (10.01.15) after allegedly groping fellow housemate Chloe Goodman, and his former partner Loni Willison has now spoken out to say she believes the 'Ex On the Beach' star should press charges so he can be helped with his issues.
She said: "Chloe should report Jeremy to the police for his own good."
The 31-year-old fitness model - who split from the former 'Baywatch' star last year - said it is important he receives help, as she claims he attempted to strangle her last August, resulting in neck injuries, scratches, and two broken ribs.
Explaining why she didn't report her beau to police at the time, she said: "I didn't when he attacked me because I was scared. I was in a bad place emotionally and didn't want Jeremy to go to jail."
The troubled star's former partner also slammed the show's producers for providing him with alcohol on the evening of the incident, because of his addiction problems to alcohol and illegal drugs in the past.
She told The Sun newspaper: "It's irresponsible of the producers to let him on there and give him alcohol with his history of addiction problems. Something like this was bound to happen."
Although Chloe is still in the house, police have confirmed they are investigating the incident, even though Jeremy flew out of the UK yesterday (11.01.15).
A spokesman for Hertfordshire police said: "We were made aware of an alleged incident that took place in the Big Brother house in Borehamwood in the early hours of Saturday January 10th.
"We are currently working with the program's producers as part of our enquiries. It would be inappropriate to comment any further at this time."
