Paddy McGuinness confirms Take Me Out OAP special

A ‘Take Me Out’ OAP special is set to air next year.
Paddy McGuinness, who hosts the regular series, has confirmed an edition of the programme aimed at older people will hit the small screen in 2018, and he can’t wait to present the special game show episode.
He said: "I don’t know if I can say this, but we’re doing two specials this year. One of them, this is going to get me in so much trouble … it’s not been green lit this, but if I say it it’ll happen.
"We’re doing an old age persons’ special. Come on, I love the OAPs."
The 44-year-old TV presenter also revealed the regular ‘Take Me Out’ series – which has spanned nine series since January 2010 – will return for another run next year.
He added: "We’re looking for new boys and girls now. We’re doing it in November and it’ll be on in the new year.
"I usually do about 10 [episodes]."
While Paddy loves hosting ‘Take Me Out’, he admitted his TV "highlight" is ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and he loved seeing the latest series winner Sarah Harding’s antics during the "epic" recent run.
Speaking on ‘The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw’, he added: "It’s my highlight of the year, I love it.
"The last series was epic. Sarah Harding. Amazing. What I liked about her was her VT, she went, ‘I just want Britain to see me for who I really am.’ And it cut to her singing a Girls Aloud song into an upside down mop with a drink in her hand and with her other hand under a blanket doing something to a bloke on national TV. ‘You’re in there for three weeks, Sarah. For the love of God, please!’ "
