Nikki Grahame apologises for accidentally revealing Big Brother winner

Nikki Grahame has apologised for prematurely revealing the ‘Big Brother’ winner last night (05.11.18).
The former housemate had an awkward mishap during the finale of the last-ever series of the reality show when she tweeted her congratulations to Cameron Cole – 15 minutes before it was officially revealed on air that he had triumphed.
She initially wrote on Twitter: "Cameron you smashed it!!! F***ing massive congratulations you legend #Cameron #champion #bbuk (sic)"
She told Digital Spy: "Am I in trouble? Oh, I’m so sorry, guys!
"Oh, I just meant that Cameron, I knew he’d won it! I’ve made my predictions. I just knew it! I just knew! Absolutely certain!"
On Tuesday morning (06.11.18), Nikki – who first appeared in the house in 2006 before returning for ‘Ultimate Big Brother’ four years later – said she was "totally unaware" of her mistake at the time, and admitted she hopes the show finds a new home after Channel 5 called time on its run on the air.
Appearing on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, she said: "I’m hoping someone else buys it … I’ve only had positive things to say about that show.
"It changed my life for the better and I’m so grateful to ‘Big Brother’.
"You hear people saying, ‘Oh I stopped watching it years ago.’ I’ve watched every single series. To have been a part of it was just a dream come true."
She was joined on the programme by Craig Phillips – who won the first ever ‘Big Brother’ in 2000 – and he believes the show should’ve come to a close when it finished on Channel 4 in 2010.
When asked if he thinks the time has come for ‘BB’ to end, he added: "I personally do. The show has changed dramatically from the very first day I walked into the house.
"It swapped after 10 years on Channel 4. It probably should’ve ended there but they carried on regurgitating … I don’t think the producers knew how big the show was going to be."
