Nikki Bella "wants to make it work" with John Cena.
The 34-year-old professional wrestler ended her engagement to the ‘Blockers’ actor in April just weeks before they were due to tie the knot, but according to her twin sister Brie, the pair are still trying to "work it out" between them as they both want to reconcile in the future.
Brie said: "They talk. You know, it’s like any break up. You try to work it out. It’s not like they hate each other or they don’t love each other. They love each other really hard. They love each other a lot and they want to make it work."
The ‘Total Bellas’ star has previously admitted she called of the wedding because she was having doubts regarding John’s decision to not have children – which he has since changed his mind on – and Brie notes the pair are "talking" about what is right for them before they rush into a marriage.
Brie told People magazine: "There’s just so much they have to figure out with each other. Like, talk about two people who are so career-driven. Marriage makes you really take a step back and be like, ‘Wait a second. Are we ready for this?’
"Because it’s a big step. And they’re not the types to just get married and then divorced cause it doesn’t work. They want it forever, and they really have to think about that. So they’re talking. They’re trying to work it out. We’ll see."
Her comments come after she recently claimed her sister and the 41-year-old professional wrestler and actor just need "time" to figure things out.
She said: "They’re working on it. I think sometimes people think, ‘OK, it’s a break-up.’ So they need to make a decision quick, you know.
"But no. Like everyone, you just work on it. They need time and so for me I just want them both to be happy. Whatever it is, together or not, I just want them to be happy."
